Mrs. Librra, of Livingston, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 1999, in her home. She was 92 years old on January 4. She was a partner in the trucking business for 30 yars before retiring in 1967. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, its Altar and Rosary Society, the John J. Slifka American Legion Auxiliary of Livingston and the Staunton Memorial Hospital Auixiliary. She was born in Livingston, a daughter of Alfred and Melania Fachinni Bononi. She married Raymond Libbra on October 25, 1924, in Edwardsville. He died February 25, 1984. Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Beinke and husband Walter of Staunton; son, Gene Libbra and wife Marilyn of Staunton; sisters, Alvina Neururer of Carmichael, Calif., Lena Scagnelli and husband Louis of Farmingham, Mass., Corrine Lines and husband Leonard of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Others surviving include sisters in law, Laverne Bononi and Betty Bononi, both of Chesterfield, Mo. Preceding her in death were brothrs, Dick, Bob and Freddie Bononi; sisters, Erma Spotti and Nora Faletto; and step mother, Maria Bononi.

He was 84 years old on March 24. He owned and operated Pete's Corner from 1963 to 1976, when he retired. He also worked for Bremer Concrete in Litchfield as a truck driver, and with the State of Illinois Highway Maintenance Department. He was a 50�year member of Litchfield Moose Lodge 1634. He was born in Mt. Clare, a son of Enrico and Giacomenia Perfetti Libbra, and graduated from Gillespie High School in 1933. His first marriage was to Romaine Woodland. She died in 1942. On January 22, 1944, he married Doris May Carleton in Wood River. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Pete Libbra Jr. and wife Linda of Virden, Joe Libbra and wife Vicki of Litchfield, Ronald Libbra of Gillespie; daughters, Rita Jean Shaw of Litchfield, Sharon Lyons and husband Terry of Godfrey, Diana Shaw and husband Jerry of Litchfield; brother, Joey Libbra of Gillespie; sister, Violet Rebufatti of Van Nuys, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were an infant daughter, Dana Lee and sisters, Gloria Fahrenkrog and Lena Kozemczatt.

Services for Ruby Lorene "Lorraine" Lichtenthaler, of Mt. Olive, were held at 2 p.m. this afternoon in Becker and Son Funeral Home there. The Rev. Father Paul Waters officiated. Burial was in Mt. Olive City Cemetery. Pallbearers were DAn Fisher, Daniel Fisher, Don Lesko, Bernie Joyce, Irvin Seiler and Gilbert Wayman. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Mt. Olive Ambulance Service. Mrs. Lichtenthaler died at 7:05 p.m. Saturday in Heritage Manor of Staunton. She was 70 years on September 8. She was born in Litchfield, a daughter of Theodore and Pearl Langley Schweppe, and attended Sawyerville Public School and Benld High School. Her first marriage, to Raymond N. Tarran, ended in divorce. She married Harry Lichtenthaler on August 3, 1973, in Edwardsville. He died March 21, 1991. Surviving are a son, Raymond Tarran and wife Rosemary of Mt. Clare; daughters, Margaret Kathleen Fisher and husband Dan of Gillespie, Debby Lesko and husband Don of Mt. Olive; and three great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were brothers, Theodore Schweppe and Raymond Schweppe in childhood. Following the service a lunch was served to family and friends in the Mt. Olive Veterans Hall.
Lieske, Clarence
Clarence Lieske, father of Chris McLaughlin of Hillsboro, died Sunday, July 25, in Community Hospital of Ottawa. A resident of Ottawa, he was 79 years old on March 11. He was an Army Air Corps veteran who served as a B-17 gunner over Germany. He worked for Libby - Owens Ford until his retirement in 1987. He was born in Butler, Pa., a son of Henry and Elizabeth Bavolar Lieske. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Bayer on June 1, 1946, in St. Mary's Church, Naplate. She survives. Surviving also are three other daughters, Sharon Kuhn of Oswego, Penny Brawley of Granger, Ind., Pattie Smick of Ottawa; nine grandchildren and three great grandsons. Services were held in Ottawa with burial in the Oakwood Memorial Park.

Services for Agnes M. Lignoul, mother of Jan Lee Hobbs of Waggoner, was held at 10 this morning in St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Fairview Heights. Mrs. Lignoul died Thursday, August 13, 1998, in her home in Fairview Heights. She was 64 years old on May 20. She was born in Centreville, a daughter of Albert and Wilhelmina Schmiz Touchette. Her husband, Harry L. Memorial service for Paul C. Lingo, of Carlinville, was held this afternoon there with burial in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery. Heinz Funeral Home, Carlinville, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lingo died Friday, December 18, 1998, in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He was 76 years old on June 28. He retired from Monterey Coal company in 1984 as director of Regulatory Affairs, having gone to work for the company in 1969 as personnel director. He was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of William Ballard and Lena Raeburn Cook Lingo. He married Pauline M. McClure in 1950 in Charleston, W.Va. She survives. Suriving also are sons, David Lingo of Hamilton, Ohio, Rod Lingo of Carlinville; daughters, Paula Lapp of Carlinville, Charlotte Lingo of Hopkins, Minn.; a brother, William Lingo of Moorefield, W.VA.; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Link died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 1999, in St. John's Mercy Hospital, St. Louis. He was 62 years old on September 30. He retired from Laclede Steel in Alton and was currently employed as a bus driver for Cavallo Bus Lines of Gillespie. He was well-known throughout the area for the oak furniture he made and showed at craft shows for the past 25 years. He was born in Henderson, a son of Harold and Lucina Oldenttel Link. He married Waneta Weatherford on January 26, 1958, in Carlinville. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Todd Link of Plano, Texas; daughters, Lisa Kleeman of Carlinville, Mindy Yurkovich of Gillespie; brother, Robert Link of Gillespie; and 10 grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a son, Timothy Jay Link.

Graveside service for Jula L. Linxwiler, formerly of Hillsboro, was held at 2 p.m. today in Wares Grove Cemetery northeast of Butler. Mrs. Linxwiler, of Columbus, Indiana, died at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 1999, in the Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 80 years old last August 27. She was born in Beaufort, Mo., a daughter of Adolph and Wilemina Hellman Holemann. She married George Linxwiler on June 8, 1941; he died January 27, 1987. Surviving are a daughter, Kay L. Drum of Columbus, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a sister, Elsie Whitworth.

She was 95 years old on October 15. She was born in Honey Point Township, a daughter of John T. and Flossie Gates Gamble, and married Earl Watson Little there in 1924. He died in 1979. Surviving are a son, George "Howard" Little of Watterman; a daughter, Melba Bacon of Girard; another sister, Lucille Webb of Granite City; five grandchildren, six step grandchildren, eight great grandchildrenm several step great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Mrs. Littrell died Sunday, February 7, 1999, in her home. She was 79 years old on October 21. She was a farmwife and enjoyed quilting and being with her family and friends. She was born in Shaw's Point Township near Atwater, a daughter of Orville and Florence Gates Culp. She married Paul Edward Littrell on December 8, 1937, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hillsboro. He died in January 1975. Surviving are sons, Kenneth Littrell and wife Patsy of Litchfield, James Littrell and wife Sharon of Raymond; a sister, Lucille Flynn of Grand Junction, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Randall Littrell, Sara Boaden, both of Litchfield, Renae Patton of Hillsboro, Gina Riedel of Walker, Kansas, Shauna Bezilla of Harbor Springs, Mich., Gayla Hart of Duncan, Ariz., Krista Pfeiffer of Dearborn, Mich.; and six great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were brothers, Graydon, Elmer, Ralph and Wayne Culp and sisters, Opal Roach and Beulah Zenner. Memorial service for Jack P Lloyd, brother of Harry C. "Chet" Lloyd of Litchfield, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Spring River Christian Village, Joplin, Mo. Mr. Lloyd, of Joplin, died Sunday, March 14, 1999, in Spring River Christian Village. He was 80 years old on February 26. He owned and operated the Lloyd Rexall Drugstore in Winona, Mo., and the Springfield Trim Supply in Springfield, Mo., each for 20 years. Following retirement, he managed the Kearny Villa Apartments in Springfield and was a founding partner of AJAX Carpet Cleaning with his son Jackson. He was born in Hunter, Mo. Surviving, besides his brother Harry, are sons, Larry Lloyd and wife Mary of Carthage, Mo., Jackson Lloyd of Springfield, Mo., Alan Lloyd and wife Sandy of Durango, Colo.; sister, Gene Isaacs and husband Lenford of Salem, Oregon; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Preceding him in death were a daughter, Lisa Guerra; a sister, Ruth McCasland; and a brother, Bill Lloyd.

Peter A. Locacius, formerly of Nokomis, died March 14, 1999, in Fisherman's Hospital, Marathon, Fla. He was 81 years old on February 20, and a veteran of World War II. He was employed as a bookbinder before he retired. He was born in Nokomis, a son of Frank and Jennie Petronski Locacius, and attended Nokomis schools. He served in Europe during World War II and received the American, European, African, and Middle Eastern theatre ribbon with silver star. Surviving are his wife, Adean in Big Pine Key, Fla., and a step daughter, Joan Kiss of Wood Dale, Fla. Preceding him in death were his twin sister, Mary, another sister, Alice Gottschalk and brothers, John and Frank Locacius.

Services for Mildred E. Locke, formerly of Mt. Olive, were held this morning in Taylorville. Burial was in Anderson Cemetery at Palmer. Mrs. Locke died Sunday, December 12, 1999, in her home in Taylorville. She was 90 yers old on July 12. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of Mason and Anna Ritter Williams. She married Harold Locke in 1928; he preceded her in death in 1978. Surviving are a daughter, Helen Fiaoni of Taylorville; a son, Roger Locke of Mattoon; a sister, Lena Kerns of Taylorville; brothers, Roger Williams of Kincaid, Ralph Williams of Paris, Texas; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services for Albert O. Lockwood, formerly of Litchfield, were held Tuesday in Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus, Mo. The Rev. Ray Thomas, pastor of Calvary Assembly of God Church, officiated. Burial was in the Festus Methodist Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Jefferson County Rescue Mission. Mr. Lockwood died Saturday, June 20, 1998, in Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Crystal City, Mo. He was 80 years old on April 29. A resident of Festus for many years, he was a glassworker with PPG Industries before he retired. He was born in Springfield, a son of Allan Clemit and Stella Baggerly Lockwood. His first marriage was to the former Jessie Wilson of Litchfield. They had two children, Joyce of Alton and Jack of Bethalto. His second marriage was to the former Marilyn Hunt of Missouri. They had three sons, Steve of Hillsboro, Mo., Mark of Hematite, Mo., and Mike, who died April 3, 1991. Surviving also are a sister, Ruth Boedecker and husband Maynard of Litchfield; eleven grandchildren in Missouri and several nieces and nephews in this area. A sister, Jean Atterbery and a brother, John Lockwood, preceded him in death.
Loew, Ruth Lucille
Ruth Lucille Loew died Saturday, June 10, 1998, in Austin, Texas. She was 89 years old on June 26. She was born and reared in Jacksonville, the second of two daughters of Fred and Gerda Stranberg. She married Climmont C. Loew on December 24, 1928, and they settled in Litchfield where he taught history at Litchfield High School. Their two children were born in Litchfield, Frederick Christian Loew on October 8, 1932, and Lawrence Allen Loew on September 21, 1936. Both Mr. and Mrs. Loew were active members of Union Avenue Christian Church. In addition, she was active in the Woman's Club and a group of singers called The Anna Snell Singers. The couple was close friends with Garth and Madge Hendrichs, who lived next door to them, and Dale and Colleen Brubaker. During her husband's career, they lived in several Illinois communities where he served as superintendent of schools �� Lebanon, Lawrenceville, Champaign�Urbana and Elmwood Park near Chicago. She was active in community organizations, including Women's Clubs, Eastern Star and church. After his retirement in 1970, the couple resided in Wisconsin until his death in 1972. In 1991, she moved to Austin where she lived at the Renaissance Senior Living Community. She was a member of the Northwest Hills Methodist Church. Surviving are her sons, Fred Loew and wife Elizabeth of Ridgewood, N.J., and Larry Loew and wife Joanne of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A sister, Edith S. Smith preceded her in death. A memorial service was held in Cook Walden Chapel of the Hills in Austin. She will be buried here Saturday next to her husband in Elmwood Cemetery with Plummer Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Service will be conducted at graveside at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jay Johnson of the Union Avenue Christian Church officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
Loffredo, George J.
Services for George J. Loffredo, father of Susan Irvin of Hillsboro, were held this morning in the Church of the Redeemer at Libertyville. Mr. Loffredo died Friday, October 23, 1998, in his home in Mundelein. He was 73 years old, and was a Navy veteran of World War II with service on the USS Lovering. He and his wife, Laura, were innkeepers for the last 11 years of the Round Robin Bed and Breakfast Inn at Mundelein. He retired in 1988 from the Waukegan School District. In his youth he worked for American Steel and Wire Company and AAMCO Tool Company. He was born in Germantown, Wis., but was reared in Waukegan. Surviving besides his wife and daughter are a son, Steve Loffredo and wife Colette of Antioch; step children, Wayne Allen of Reno, Nevada, Nancy Baker of The Woodlands, Texas, Kathy Cordell of Beaverton, Oregon; a sister, Clara Beck of Waukegan; and several grandchildren. Preceding him in death were brothers, Michael, Frank and Louis Loffredo.

She was 80 years old on Feb. 28. She was a machine operator for 37 years at Sangamon Paper Company in Taylorville. She was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society of the church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. She was born in Owaneco, a daughter of Bernard and Alice Durbin Logsdon. Surviving are a sister, Pansy Dullenty of Morrisonville along with nieces and nephews and their children. Preceding her in death were brothers, Vincent and Jerry Logsdon.

He was born in Farmington, W.Va., a son of Fernand and Dorothy Runkels Lomprez. He married Johanna Whilhite in September 1967. She survives. He served as Republican precinct committeeman in Raymond. He was born in Chesterfield, a son of Benjamin Franklin and Marie Tollman Long. He married Coy I. Pallbearers were Kyle Long, Mark Long, Matthew Long, Phillip Long, Theodore M. Long and Floyd Perkins. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery with full military honors. Wilbur Tackaberry and Dave Allen foled the flag and presented it to Gier Perkins, a granddaughter. Taps was played by Ernie Thomack. Following the services a lunch was served for family and friends at the First Baptist Church. Mr. Long, 85, died Saturday, August 7, in St. Francis Hospital.
Longworth, Charles Orville
Services for Charles Orville Longworth, formerly of the local area, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Plummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Father David Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Holy Family Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society. Mr. Longworth, of Peoria, died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 1998, in Methodist Hospital there. He was 73 years old on May 25, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was employed by Central Illinois Light Company (CILCO) as a substation switchman for 40 years. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1943 and enlisted in the Navy that October. He served in the Pacific Theatre on an attack transport and took part in eight major battles. He attained the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class. He later attended Bradley University in Peoria. He was born in Butler, Mo., a son of George Francis and Mary Amanda Valcoure Longworth. In 1950, he married Dorothy Moore and they were later divorced. Surviving are daughters, Barbara Longworth of New Orleans, La., Patricia Waterbury and husband Charles of Phoenix, Ariz., Susan Longworth of Santa Rosa, Calif.; brothers, George Longworth, Arthur Longworth and wife, Norma, all of Litchfield, Gilbert Longworth of Springfield; sisters, Helen Lennert and husband Edward of Springfield, Marie Coleman of Alameda, Calif., Dorothy Duggar and Wilma Jo Longworth, both of Litchfield. A son, Charles P. Longworth, preceded him in death. Services for Charles Orville Longworth, formerly of the local area, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. During the committal service the flag was presented to Mr. Longworth's daughter, Patricia Waterbury by Wilbur Tackaberry, command of American Legion Post 436 of Litchfield. A meal was provided for the family and friends following the services by the VFW women's auxiliary. Mr. Longworth, 73 of Peoria, died there Saturday, December 5, in Methodist Hospital.

He also worked at American Radiator Company in Litchfield as well as farmed with his family near Butler. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was born in Enid, Okla., a son of George Francis and Mary Amanda Valcoure Longworth. He married Mildred Ann Longworth on October 19, 1940, in Litchfield. She died May 31, 1993. Surviving are brothers, Gilbert Longworth of Springfield, Arthur Longworth of Litchfield; sisters, Helen Lennert and husband Ed of Springfield, Marie Coleman of Alameda, Calif., Dorothy Dugger and Wilma Jo Longworth, both of Litchfield. Services for Norma Irene Longworth, of Litchfield, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Plummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Father Ted Schelich, chaplain at St. Francis Hospital, officiating. Mrs. Longworth died at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. She was 65 years old last November 17. She was a medical secretary for Rocky Mountain Primary Care in Lakewood, Colo., before she retired. A graduate of Hillsboro High School in 1951, she attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale for two years. She enjoyed gardening and was active in raising and showing American Saddlebred horses. She was born in Hillsboro, a daughter of John and Lorene Henneke Bellaver. She married Arthur Glenn Longworth on January 3, 1953, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro. He survives. Surviving also are a son, John B. Longworth of Belleville; daughters, Jan Berry and husband Veryl of Littleton, Colo., Jody Longworth of Belleville; brothers, Norman Bellaver and wife Patti of Hillsboro, Herman Bellaver of Longmont, Colo.; sister, Corrine Sheridan and husband Guy of Hillsboro; and three grandchildren, Michelle Olson of Carney, Neb., Yvette and Matthew Berry of Littleton. Preceding her in death were a brother, Raymond Bellaver and a sister, Audrey Tobias. Services for Norma Irene Longworth, of Litchfield, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Lourash, Thelma C.
Thelma C. Lourash, formerly of Coffeen, died Friday, December 17, 1999, in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. She was 80 years old on March 8. She was born in Coffeen, a daughter of Jerry S. and Laura Stokes Owens. She married Vernie Lourash on November 16, 1845. He survives. Surviving also are two sons, a daughter, a brother, a sister, and six grandchildren. Preceding her in death were brothers James Howard and Perry Harlan Owens. Services were held Tuesday in Decatur. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
Love, William C.
No services for William C. Love, of Gillespie, are planned. His remains have been donated to Washington University, St. Louis. Mr. Love died at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 4, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 73 years old last November 9, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was an adjuster with Olin Corporation in East Alton before he retired, and a member of VFW Post 4547 of Gillespie. He was born in Gillespie, a son of Henry and Mary Calderwood Love. He married Geraldine Wey on May 4, 1947, in Litchfield. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Stewart Love and wife Cheryl of Gillespie, Carl Love and wife Judy of Maryland Heights, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Chalisa Love Hicks of Litchfield, Sarah Love of Maryland Heights, Brandon M. Hicks of Litchfield. A brother, Henry Stewart Love, preceded him in death.
Lovejoy, Joyce L.
Services for Joyce L. Lovejoy, of Staunton, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Williamson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Clint Braman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of service. The family suggests memorials be directed to the First General Baptist Church of Staunton. Mrs. Lovejoy died at 10 a.m. Monday, July 27, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital. She was 69 years old on October 16. She was born in Staunton, a daughter of Herman and Mabel Baldwin Eilers. Her first marriage was to William Abe Pernicks on December 17, 1949. He died in 1961. On May 25, 1962, she married Clifford Lovejoy. He died November 15, 1993. Surviving are a step daughter, Georgiana Lorenz of Staunton; step son, Larry Lovejoy of Rolla, Mo.; four step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. Among others surviving are a sister in law, Ethel Randle and husband Don, and a brother in law, Roy Lovejoy and wife Juanita, all of Staunton.
