Services for Randall Lott Loveless, of Carlinville, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Carlinville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Douglas Claire officiating. Burial will be in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Davis�Anderson Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Loveless Park all season sports complex. Mr. Loveless died at Monday, December 28, 1998, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis. He was 68 years old on October 22, and an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a cattle grower his entire life, residing south of Carlinville. He wasa member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 1412 and Elk of the year 1992, CarlinvilleCitizen of the year 1992, past board member of Carlinville Hospital and Blackburn College, member of the Carlinville Chamber of Commerce. Active in the community, he helped to make contributions to numerous projects and to the needs of the community. He built Carlinville Lake II, donated land and was an organizer of Loveless park, and helped with the renovation of the Carlinville High School track, to name a few. He was a 1948 graduate of Carlinville High School. He was also past president of the Cornbelt Beef Council. He was born in Carlinville, a son of A. Lincoln and Flora Elizabeth Lott Loveless. Surviving are his wife, the former Carol Keiser; children, Lance Loveless, Bruce Loveless and wife Lori, all of Carlinville, Lisa Salinas of Clear Water Beach, Fla., Chris Keiser of Hillsboro, Ryan Keiser of Glen Ellen and Angeline Keiser of Chicago; a brother, Lindell J. Loveless of Gillespie; a sister, Lois Ann Luallen and husband John of Neoga; and seven grandchildren, Franchesca, Isabella and Stetson Salinas, Levi and Valerie Loveless, Kellee and Shalyn Keiser.

Services for Lilla Mae Lovings, of Royal Lakes, were held at 11 this morning in the First Community Baptist Church there. The Rev. John W. Savage officiated. Burial was in Bunker Hill City Cemetery. Landers Funeral Home, Bunker Hill, was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lovings died at 3:46 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. She was 82 years old on January 16. She was a presser in the dry cleaning business before she retired, and a member of the First Community Baptist Church. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, a daughter of Cora Barns and Austin Dunn. Her first husband was Oscar C. Jackson and her second, Isaac P. Lovings. Both preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Janette Jackson of St. Louis; sons, Curry Jackson and wife Joyce of St. Louis, James Jackson and wife Geraldine of Royal Lakes, Floyd Jackson and wife Darla of Mt. Olive; a sister, Anna Dunn; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were 11 brothers and sisters.
Lowe, Carol A.
Carol Ann Lowe, daughter of Louvine Hamlin of the Fillmore area, died Saturday, November 13, 1999, in Scottsdale, Ariz. She was 64 years old on November 4. She was a daughter of Claude and Louvine Hamlin of the Hamlin Centennial Farm, located north of Fillmore. He father preceded her in death. She attended Sandy Bend School through the eighth grade and graduated from Nokomis High School. She then earned a degree in Home Economics at the University of Illinois. She married Daniel Lowe in 1955 and accompanied him throughout his Air Force career. They settled in Scottsdale in the early 1970s. She was co-found and co-owner of Adviso, a computer company and taught classes in needlework at Stitch 'n Time in Scottsdale. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Nokomis.

Services for Edward Berlin Lowe, of Litchfield, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Plummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Ryan Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Lowe died at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feburary 21, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 86 years old on September 3, and an Army veteran of World War II. He worked in maintenance at St. Francis Hospital for 20 years. He was born in Harvel, a son of Jesse and Julia Row Lowe. He married Ruth Viola Christopher on November 24, 1937. She survivies. Surviving also are a daughter, Joyce Gunn of Pacific, Mo.; three grandchildren, Randy Gunn, Leslie Mason and Angela Sterns and six great grandchildren, Curtis, Joshua and Erica Gunn, Justin and Jacob Stearns and Danielle Mason. Preceding him in death were brothers, Harold, Rlaph, Russell and Tommy Lowe and sisters, Marie Brinkman and Julia Stubblefield. Services for Edward Berlin Lowe, of Litchfield, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Ryan Jackson officiated. Musical selection was "Go Rest High on That Mountain." During the committal service in Elmwood Cemetery the flag was presented to the family by Dennis Lewey. Adam Roach played "Taps." Pallbearers were Don Greer, Randy Gunn, Don Koonce, Marvin Lowe, Judd Mason and Greg Stearns. Mr. Lowe, 86, died Sunday, February 21, in St. Francis Hospital.

Mr. Lowe died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, Ocotober 20, 1998, in Golden Manor Nursing Home, Nokomis. He was 84 years old on January 27. A life�long resident of Morrisonville, he owned and operated Lowe's Hardware Store since 1946, served on the village board and the cemetery board. He was also a Navy veteran. He was a member and an elder of the First Presbyterian Church, member and past president of the Community Club, a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Morrisonville. He was born in Morrisonville, a son of Charles and Flossie Hunt Lowe. He married Beulah Fortin on October 20, 1941, in Morrisonville. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Ronald W. Lowe of Morrisonville; a sister, Doris Ann Mundhenke of Morrisonville; and a brother, John Loew of Morrisonville. Preceding him in death were sisters, Hilda Klinger, Mary Jenkins and Pauline Lowe.

Services for Anna N. Lowder, of Worden, were held at 11 a.m. today in Williamson Funeral Home, Worden. The Rev. Kevin Boesen officiated. Burial was in Worden City Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Worden, of which she was a member. Mrs. Lowder died at 6:25 a.m. Friday, January 22, 1999, in Blu Fountain Manor, Godfrey. She was 94 years old on September 12. She worked for Granite City Steel for nine years before she retired. She was previously employed at Lockheed in Burbank, Calif., for nine years and at Electric Specialty in Glendale, Calif., for seven years. She was born in Worden, a daughter of John Newton and Carrie Belle Hoxey Phillips. Her husband, Edward Lowder, died in 1976. Surviving are a son, James Delore Birmingham and wife Loraine of Decatur, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Preceding her in death were a son and his wife, Walter and Evelyn Birmingham, three brothers and four sisters.

Services for Laine Marie Lowery, mother of Phillip Colburn of Litchfield, will be held at 7 p.m. today in Stabb Funeral Home. Mrs. Lowery died Saturday, December 19, 1998, in her home in Springfield. She was 29 years old on August 17. She had resided in Springfield for the past two years, having formerly lived in Chicago, and was employed as a cashier at Shop N Save. She was born in El Paso, Texas, a daughter of Richard and Gisela Watson Manarchy. She married James R. Lowery in 1997. He survives. Surviving also are her parents, Richard Manarchy of Dundee and Gisela Manarchy of El Paso, and a sister, Gabriel Manarchy of Moline.

Mr. Lueker died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 89 years old on November 23. He was spent his entire life in the farming business, and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He attended the Immanuel Lutheran Grade School in Mt. Olive and graduated from Mt. Olive High School in the class of 1927. He was born in Mt. Olive, a son of Fred and Ida Niemann Lueker. He married Alta Marie Nortrup on July 30, 1955, in Bluffs. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Bill Lueker and wife Jean of Manchester, Mo., Jim Lueker of Mt. Olive, John Lueker and wife Denise of Litchfield; sisters, Alma Monke of Walshville, Selma Makstell of Mt. Olive; eight grandchildren, Emilie, Lauren and Kate Lueker of Manchester, Mo., Randy, Tim and Marke Lueker of Mt. Olive, Alex and Victoria Lueker of Litchfield. Preceding him in death were sisters, Frieda Tienette and Paula Etter. Following the services a lunch was provided for family and friends in the Immanuel Lutheran Educational building by members of the Lydia Circle. Mr. Lueker, 89, died Tuesday, April 27, in St. Francis Hospital.

He was born in Gillespie, a son of Michael and Elizabeth Bain Luketich. He married Carol Fairless on November 29, 1963, in Wood River. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Michael William Luketich and wife Julia of Gillespie; daughter, Christine Luketich of Gillespie; brother, Donald Luketich of Gillespie; sisters, JoAnn Semploski, Norma Kuciejcik, both of Gillespie; and eight grandchildren.

The mother and daughter were pronounced dead at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 1998, in St. Vincent's Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, as the result of an automobile accident Sunday near there. Sharyn Luttrell, 33 on November 17, was the assistant manager of the Dollar General store in Auburn and had recently moved to Irving with her two daughters. Jesica Luttrell, 9 on September 20, had attended class at Beckemeyer School, Hillsboro, for the past three weeks. She was in the fourth grade. She was born in Hillsboro, a daughter of James and Sharyn Luttrell. Her father, of Taylorville, survives along with a sister, Kandra Lynette, 13, who was also injured in the accident. Her mother and father were married July 14, 1984, in Irving. Sharyn Luttrell, daughter of James and Sharon Sparling White, was born in Taylorville. Other survivors include Mrs. Luttrell's parents, James and SharonWhite, now of Irving; brother, James Richard White and sister,Suzette Shroyer, also of Irving; and Jesica's paternal grandmother, Mary B. Selzer of Taylorville.

Preceding her in death were two children in infancy, Terry Lynn and Donald Edward.

Bethel Estella Lyerla, whose husband, Clifford, is formerly of Hillsboro, died Sunday, February 28, 1999, in Chelsea, Mich. She was 78 years old on September 26. Clifford Lyerla, whom she married on January 25, 1950, in Bowling Green , Ohio, is a 1937 graduate of Hillsboro High School. Mrs. Lyerla worked at the United Methodist Home, now the Chelsea Retirement Community until retiring in 1983, and continued to volunteer there. She was born in Ray Township, Mich., a daughter of Horace and Estella Sutherland Newbury. Surviving besides her husband are sons, James Lyerla of Chelsea, Thomas Lyerla of Glendale, Ariz., Steven Lyerla of Vandercook Lake, Mich.; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services were held in Chelsea with burial in Oak Grove East Cemetery.

Services for Rex W. Lynch, formerly of Irving, were held this morning in Cerro Gordo with graveside services this afternoon in the Irving Cemetery. Mr. Lynch died at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 1999, in Brownsville Medical Center, Brownsville, Texas. He was 89 years old on May 17. He was born in Irving, a son of Alfred and Hattie Weller Lynch. He married Martha Bower on August 26, 1995, in Cerro Gordo; she survives. Surviving also is a brother, Glenn Lynch of Huntington, W.V. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Margarette and a brother.

Services for William Melvin Lynch, brother of Jean Molen of Raymond, were held privately Sunday with burial in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home, Springfield, was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lynch, of Williamsville, died at 7:06 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 1999, in St. John's Hospital. He was 73 years old on March 9. He was a farmer and owner - operator of William Lynch and Sons Trucking. A veteran, he served in the 101st Army Airborne. He was born in Litchfield, Ky., a son of Beckham and Angie Beatty Lynch. His wife Ruth, whom he married in 1945, survives. Surviving also are daughters, Gail Burge, Janelle Brenzier, both of Buffalo Hart; sons, Gerald Lynch of Latham, Richard Lynch of Cornland, James Lynch of Buffalo Hart; another sister, Marie Theobald of Buffalo Hart; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A brother, Donald, preceded him in death.

Mary E. Lyons, of rural Irving, died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. She was 75 years old on May 6, and an Army veteran of World War II. She resided in Hillsboro and the Irving area most of her life. During her war service, she attained the rank of Sergeant. She was born in Olympia, Ky., a daughter of William and Mary McGlothin. She married Michael Thomas Lyons on February 14, 1946, in New Orleans, La. He died March 19, 1994. Surviving are sons, Michael Lyons of rural Irving, Mark Lyons and wife Shirley of Hillsboro; a daughter, Mary Lyons of Litchfield; sisters, Marsha Highley of Owensville, Ky., Patricia Moody of Camargo, Ky.; a brother, Walter McGlothin of Olympia, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Tammy Knodle of Raymond, Mary Bray of Hillsboro, Thomas Bray of Green ville, Michelle, Stefanie, Emily and Michael Lyons of Hillsboro, Blake Miller of Hillsboro; and two great grandchildren, Jordyn Bray of Green ville and Kaitlyn Knodle of Raymond. Preceding her in death were a son, Martin Eugene in 1990 and a daughter, Margaret Ann in infancy; sisters, Lee Bell, Clisty Hatton and Rita Crouch; and brothers, Woody, Gene and Bill McGlothin. Mabie, Oliver
Services for Oliver Mabie, former teacher in Raymond schools, were held at 10 a.m. today in Springfield. Burial was in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Mr. Mabie, of Springfield, died at 11:25 p.m. Friday, December 3, 1999, in St. John's Hospital. He was 69 years old on October 22, and a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He devoted 30 years to teaching and besides in Raymond, also taught in schools at Chatham and Springfield. After retiring he worked at the Bunn Park Pro Shop. He earned a bachelor's degree in education from Green ville College and attended Illinois State University. He was born in Springfield, a son of Edris and Mabel Wilcoxson Mabie. He married Roberta Cockayne on July 24, 1954. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Robert Mabie of New Berlin, Charles Mabie of Carrollton, Texas; sisters, Maebelle Joyce of Virden, Joan Bohles of Springfield; brothers, Edris Mabie of Auburn, Gomer Mabie of Springfield; and four grandchildren. Preceding him in death were brothers, Charles and James Mabie.

The family suggests memorials be directed to the Worden Christian Church Building Fund. Mr. Madoux died at 9:15 a.m. Monday, July 6, 1998, in Anderson Hospital, Maryville. He was 73 years old on June 7, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a pipefitter and welder for Shell Oil Company for 35 years before retiring in 1985. He was in the submarine service during the war, from December 1942 to February 1946. He resided in Worden for 52 years and was a member of the Worden Christian Church, American Legion Post 564 of Worden and life member of VFW Post 1241 of Staunton. He was also a Red Cross disaster team volunteer, He was born in Litchfield, a son of Lonnie W. and Cora Estelle Madoux. He married Alice Jean Zirges on May 25, 1946, in the Christian Church of Edwardsville. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Robert Madoux and wife Mary of Edwardsville, David Madoux and wife Kim of Lynndale, Texas; sisters, Florence Pour of Edwardsville, Frances Ploudre of Jacksonville, Ark.; and four granddaughters, Sara, Amanda, Angela and Laura Madoux. Preceding him in death was a brother, Clovis Madoux, who was killed in France on D-Day.

Mrs. Makuh died at 11:04 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. She was 83 years old on December 30. She worked as a cook until her retirement, cooking at Fazio's restaurant and as supervisor at the Benld Nutrition Center. She was born in Eagarville, a daughter of Pasquale and Maria Antonucci DiPaolo. Her husband, John Makuh, died November 26, 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Konko and husband Jack of Hawthorn Woods; sisters, Goncetta Grandone of Eagarville, Gilda Calderwood of Benld; two granchildren, Daniel and Elisa Konko of Hawthorn Woods. Her twin brother, Pete DePaolo preceded her in death.

Sylvia G. Menin Malec, formerly of the Nokomis area, died Friday, August 7, 1998, in Chicago Heights. She was 74 years old on December 2. She was born in Coalton, a daughter of Frank and Bertha Menin, and graduated from Nokomis High School in the class of 1943. She married Edward Malec in April 1955 in Harvel. He died in 1980. Surviving are a son, Dr. Michael Malec of Chicago Heights; daughters, Cathy Malec, Renee Malec, also of Chicago Heights; sister, Olga Vittone of New Lenox; brothers, Reno Menin and Larry Menin of Nokomis. An infant brother preceded her in death. Services were held in Harvey with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery there.

Services for Dora Maletich, of Litchfield, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Steinhaus Funeral Home, Westfield, Wis. Burial will be in the Westfield East Cemetery. Plummer Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Mrs. Maletich died at 10:12 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 1998, in Heritage Manor of Litchfield. She was 86 years old on May 20. She was born in Jackson, Ky., a daughter of Nimrod and Sylviana Russell Harvey. Her first marriage, to Andrew Miller in 1934, ended in divorce. On January 1, 1955, she married Simon Maletich. He died December 22, 1992. Surviving are sons, Herman Harvey of Ned, Ky., Johnny Miller of Kalamazoo, Mich., Earnie Miller of Chicago, Frank Miller of Detroit, Mich.; daughters, Kathleen Comer and husband Jesse of Cothersville, Ind., Roberta Schmechel and husband Robert of Litchfield, Juanita Wooten and husband Ruie of Raymond, Eula Mae Filip and husband Rudy of Westfield; 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were four brothers Willie, Jimmy, Charlie and Elliott Harvey, and six sisters, Mary Muncie, Martha Miller, Rachel, Parrett, Mercel and Kathy.

Mrs. Malone died at 6 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 1999, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was 85 years old on March 3. She worked for International Paper Company in Litchfield for 15 years, retiring in 1976. Before that she worked as a waitress. She had resided in Livingston for the past six years, having moved there from Wilsonville where she lived for 19 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston and the Mt. Olive Senior Citizens. She was born in Binney Station in Olive Township, a daughter of Henry Klotz and Josephine Schwarz Greemore. She was married three times, first to William Schutte then later to Chester Scire. On August 31, 1974, in Mt. Olive, she married Emmett Malone. He died June 18, 1989. Surviving are daughters, Dolores France and husband Elmer of Livingston, Cheryl Erwin and husband Charles of Mechanicsville, Md., Sandy Kinnikin and husband Bryan of Princeville; sisters, Dorothy Kovaly of Livingston, Jessie Foster of Mt. Olive; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Private graveside service for Mary Elizabeth Maltby, formerly of Butler, will be held Saturday in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Carlinville. Heinz Funeral Home of Carlinville is in charge. Mrs. Maltby, of Carlinville, died Thursday, July 1, 1999, in St. Francis Hosptial. She was 90 years old on March 19. She was born in Butler, a daughter of George and Mary Ann Borders Gunning. Surviving are sons, Ralph Knudson of Dow, Gerald and James Knudson of Girard, Richard Knudson of Carlinville, Daniel Knudson of Branson, Mo.; daughters, Doris Knutzmann, Mary Ann Maltby of Carlinville; brothers, Earl and George Gunning of Carlinville; a step brother and several step sisters; 16 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

Services for Delmar Manning, of Panama, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Panama United Methodist Church with the Rev. Linda Peyla officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Mr. Manning died at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, April 18, 1999, in Hillsboro Hospital. He was 68 years old on December 30, and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a life-long resident of Panama and retired as a pipefitter in 1993. He worked from Labor Local 157. He was a member of the Panama United Methodist Church, Donnellson Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Moose Club of Hillsboro, Panama VFW, 3-M Fireman Association. He was born in Pocahontas, a son of Lawrence and Charlotte Nuby Manning. He married Donna Kosek on September 25, 1954, in Panama. She survives. Surviving also are brothers, Dallas Manning of Panama and Larry Manning of Glen Carbon.

Services for Elizabeth A. Manning, formerly of Panama, will be held at noon Wednesday in Perfetti Funeral Home there with the Rev. Linda Peyla officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. Mrs. Manning died at 2:40 a.m. Monday, April 5, 1999, in Integrated Health Care Service, St. Louis. She was 99 years old on September 29. She spent most of her life in Panama, moving to St. Louis about three years ago. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was born in Cardiff, a daughter of Ulysses and Margaret Savage Alderson. She married Frank "Tut" Manning on December 23, 1915, in Hillsboro. He died in 1967. Surviving are daughters, June Harper of St. Louis and Maxine Shultz of Ocala, Fla.; seven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a daughter, Vera Ray and a sister, Mildred Parks Ludwig.

Mrs. Mansholt died at 12:45 this morning, Tuesday, November 16, 1999, in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. She was 79 years old on September 10. She a member of the Macoupin County Farm Bureau Women's committee and served on its board, Gillespie Nite Unit, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an active member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the church quilting group. She was born in Staunton, a daughter of Harm and Bertha Hix Schoen. She married Edgar Mansholt on September 17, 1944, in Gillespie. He survives. Surviving also are sons, Gary Mansholt and wife Linda of Antelope, Calif., Don Mansholt and wife Janet of Staunton, Roger Mansholt and wife Robin of Benld, Ray Mansholt and wife Jo of Gillespie; daughters, Jackie Mansholt of Joliet, Janell Cherry of Dorchester; sister, Shirley Ogden of Grants Pass, Oregon; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
