Services for Lorene L. Opel, of Worden, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Williamson Funeral Home there. Burial will be in the Worden Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Worden Fire District. Mrs. Opel died at 2:45 a.m. Monday, April 12, 1999, in Hitz Memorial Home, Alahambra. She was 78 years old on March 1. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden and was politically active. She was born in Edwardsville, a daughter of William and Emma Provaznik Bauer. She married Arthur C. Opel on April 18, 1942, in St. Louis. He died April 25, 1985. Surviving are sons, Gary Opel and wife Carol of Worden, Richard Opel of Granite City; daughters, Cheryl Bednar and husband Ronald of Bethalto, Terri Opel of Worden; sisters, Mavis Utechtt of Edwardsville; Charlene Sauerwein of Woodburn; brother, Reeves Bauer of Idaho; and six grandchildren. Preceding her in death were brothers, Calvin, Roland and Carlton Bauer; and a grandson, Daniel Opel.

Orblish, Joseph J.

Services for Joseph J. Orblish, of Litchfield, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Meinschein Funeral Home with the Rev. Father David Schmidt, pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Mr. Orblish died at 11:59 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 81 years old on March 13. He had resided in Litchfield all of his life and worked as a machinist at Roller Derby Skate Corporation and at Webco. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and Holy Family. He was born in Litchfield, a son of John S. and Patricia Glanza Orblish. He married Belveana Chesney on September 18, 1958, in Litchfield. She survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Deborah Prieto of Litchfield; brother, George Orblish of Litchfield; sisters, Sophia Adams, Helen Webb, Regina Weller, all of Litchfield; and a grandchild, Nicole Prieto. Preceding him in death were a brother, John S. Orblish, Jr. and sisters, Margaret Childers and Blanche Orblish. Services for Joseph J. Orblish, of Litchfield, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Meinschein Funeral Home. The Rev. Father David Schmidt officiated. Michelle Sweet was the organist. Pallbearers were Dale Weller Jr., Blaide Ferguson, Terry Johnson, Charles Funk, Tony Meyer, Mike Funk. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Conducting military rites were Wilbert Tackaberry, Lee Baker, Bill Rogers, Bill Bates from American Legion Post 436 and Dave Allen, Dennis Lewey, Tim Wilson, Joe Wilson and V.C. Chasteen from VFW 3912. Burglar was Adam Roach. Mr. Orblish, 81, died Wednesday, February 10, in St. Francis Hospital.

Osborn, Verna A.

Memorial service for Verna A. Osborn, formerly of the Butler area, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Butler Union Church with the Rev. James Howie officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery near Butler. The family will receive friends at the church. A luncheon will beheld following the services in the Butler Community Center.ŒMrs. Osborn died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, in Stoughton, Wisconsin. she was 88 years old on April 23. She and her husband, Loren, farmed near Butler and operated the Red and White grocery store there for a time. In 1952, they moved to Pana where she operated the White Sail Cafe. She resided there until 1991 when she moved to Wisconsin to be near her children. She was born in Honey Bend, a daughter of Lee and Cynthelia Irwin McBroom, who farmed near Butler until 1927 when her father died. She married Loren Osborn on April 16, 1933, in Butler. Surviving are daughters, Dorothy Lay and husband James of Silver Spring, Md., Anne Eskeitz and husband Robert of Madison, Wis., Emily Houser and husband David of Stoughton; a son, Harold Osborn and wife Christina of Wausau, Wis.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were sisters, Mary Henry, Thelma McBroom and brothers, Earl and Howard McBroom. The family suggests memorials be directed to organizations supporting research for the treatment and cure of Parkinson's Disease or the Montgomery Cemetery Association. Funderson Funeral Home of Stoughton is in charge of arrangements.

Osborne, Dorothy I.

Word has been received of the death of Dorothy I. Osborne on June 30, 1998, in Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart, Ind. Mrs. Osborne, of Elkhart, was 80 years old on March 21. She was born in Butler, a daughter of Vincent and Susie Gregg. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Harman of Elkhart; a son, Larry Vitali of Duncanville, Ala.; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Other survivors include several aunts and cousins in the area, including cousins Bernadine Flynn, Waive Schoen and an aunt, Helen Law, all of Litchfield. Preceding her in death were brothers, Wilbert V. and Donald C. Gregg and a sister, Wilma Barrett.

Osterholt, Laura E.

Services for centenarian Laura Eva Osterholt, of Morrisonville, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Harvel, with the Rev. Clifford Adair officiating. Burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Moffitt Funeral Home, Morrisonville. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the Morrisonville Ambulance Service. Mrs. Osterholdt died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 1999, in Golden Manor Nursing Home, Nokomis. She was 104 years old on April 30. She was born in Morrisonville, a daughter of Jacob and Etta Kline Rathgeber. She married Frank Osterholt on March 1, 1916, in St. Louis. Preceding her in death were her husband; son, John; daughters, Ruth Saffer and Marie Rich; and a sister, Lizzie Billiter. Surviving are a daughter in law, Esther Osterholt of Morrisonville, four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Ostermeier, John J.

Services for John Joseph Ostermeier, grandfather of Willliam Funderburk of Harvel and David Funderburk of Hillsboro, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesdazy in Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery at Pawnee. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Ostermeier, of Taylorville, died Sunday, September 19, 1999, in Heritage Manor of Pana. He was 81 years old on July 7. He was a retired farmer and also worked in conservation construction with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was born in Christian County, a son of Joseph and Emma Davidson Ostermeier. He married Kathryn Denny on July 27, 1940, in St. Charles, Mo. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Kay Funderburk of Taylorville, Mary Jo Paugh of El Cajon, Calif. and four other grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a sister, Mabel ostermeier and a brother, Harold Ostermeier.

Ott, Geraldine L.

Services for Geraldine L. Ott, of Staunton, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Williamson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Kloepping officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Zion Lutheran Church Stained Glass Window Fund. Mrs. Ott died at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 1999, in Staunton Memorial Hospital. She was 83 years old on June 19. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton and the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid. She was born in Staunton, a daughter of Ufke and Caroline Fridli DeVries. She married Clarence Ott on November 3, 1935, in Staunton; he died October 24, 1970. Surviving are sons, Dale Ott and wife Pamela, Donald Ott and wife Jamie of Staunton; a sister, Lucille Vogelsang of Litchfield; and four grandchildren, Melinda Ott of Stamford, Conn., Timothy Ott and wife Danielle of McLean, Va., Tobin and Darren Ott, both of Staunton.

Ott, Robert W.

Robert W. Ott, brother of former Litchfield resident Beverly Guyan, died Tuesday, June 2, 1998, in Naples, Fla. He was 77 years old, and an Army veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He was a recipient of the Silver Star in the latter war. He had resided in Naples since 1970, when he moved from Chicago. He worked as controller for the Gatke Corporation in Chicago and was a member of the Oak Park Country Club. Surviving are his wife, Jeannette; a son, Kenneth W. Ott of Gainesville, Ga.; step daughter, Marsha McNitt of Frederick, Md.; two grandsons, Kenneth and Jason Ott and three step grandchidlren. Also surviving are his sister, Beverly Guyan of Fairfield Bay, Ark.; a niece Rebecca Kelly of Conifer, Colo., and a nephew, David Guyan of St. Louis. Services were held in Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 9. The family suggests memorials in Mr. Ott's name be directed to the American Lung Association.

Otter, Therman W.

Therman Wright Otter, formerly of rural Coffeen, died March 15, 1999, in California. He was 86 years old on December 4. He was born on a farm approximately three miles east of Coffeen and lived and worked there until he retired in 1960. He married a next door neighbor, Mildred Valera McCollum on March 20, 1932. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Marilyn Marie Combs of Ceres, Calif., and Juanita Jeanette Edwards of Oakdale, Calif.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services and burial took place in Modesto, Calif.

Otto, Nina Jean

Graveside service for Nina Jean Otto, of rural Gillespie, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, with the Rev. Rick Hohimer officiating. Mrs. Otto died Monday, March 1, 1999 in Heritage Manor of Gillespie. She was 87 years old last March 21. She worked in radio in a talk show program in Springfield in the 1930s. She was born in Vernon, a daughter of Jesse and Viola Melton Linton. Her first husband, Harry Bradford, died in 1956. She then married Albert Otto and he died in 1986. Surviving are a son, Clyd Bradford and wife Linda of St. Charles, Mo.; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, Garney Lord; two brothers; grandson, Scott Bradford; and a great granddaughter, Malea Fellin.

Overbey, Berniece E.

Services for Berniece E. Overbey, of Gillespie, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Kravanya Funeral Home there with the Rev. Lee Rule officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at Green field. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to Shriners Hospital. Mrs. Overbey died at 1:42 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital. She was 83 years old on December 24. She was a customer service representative with Sears & Roebuck in St. Louis before she retired. She was born in Paragould, Ark., a daughter of Logan Earl and Midda Caledonia Williams Bass. She married Nelson M. Overbey on July 21, 1956, in St. Louis. He died September 17, 1995. Surviving are sons, Bruce Overbey of Columbia, Edmond Overbey of New York, N.Y.; daughters, Margaret Thomure of St. Charles, Mo., Maurine Wood of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Samuel Milton Bass of Eureka; sisters, Hazel Schoen of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Charlsie Mae Shelton of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Preceding her in death were brothers, Paul and Maurice Bass.

Overby, Bertha A.

Graveside service for centenarian Bertha Alma Overby, formerly of Edinburg, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in Walnut Hill Cemetery there with the Craig Scott officiating. Hough Colonial Home of Morrisonville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Edinburg Christian Church, of which she was a member. Mrs. Overby died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 1999, in Sunshine Manor, Carlinville. She was 101 years old on June 19. She attended 11 years of school and worked as a licensed practical nurse before she retired. She was born in Plainview, a daughter of Charles and Miltilda Coonrod Jackson. She married Newton E. Overby on July 15, 1917, in Edwardsville; he preceded her in death. She was the last of her family. Preceding her in death also were her children, Hallie and Francis Overby, both in infancy, and Helen Marten; brothers, Charles and Carl Jackson; and a sister, Nancy. Surviving are two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Owens, Rev. James

Rev. James Owens, pastor of St. Timothy United Methodist Church from 1956 to 1960, then known as the First Methodist Church, died Friday, February 19, 1999, in the United Methodist Village at Lawrenceville. Besides his ministry here, Rev. Owens served churches at Gorham, Bone Gap, Irvington, Grayville, Harrisburg, Robinson. He then served for a time as district superintendent of the Olney District of the Southern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church. Afterwards, he served at the Centralia First, Godfrey, Pinckneyville and Warrensville churches. He retired in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Loretta, who also resides at the United Methodist Village and a daughter, Patty of Mt. Carmel. Graveside services were conducted Saturday in Marion by the Rev. Cathy Seaton.

Ozanic, Evelyn Ann

Funreal Mass for Evelyn Ann Ozanic, of Mt. Olive, will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Ascension there by the Rev. Father Larry Anschutz. Burial will be in Union Miners Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Becker and Son Funeral Home. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Mt. Olive Ambulance Service. Miss Ozanic died at 7:42 a.m. today, Tuesday, December 1, 1998, in Litchfield Health Care Center. She was 80 years old on August 7. She was the secretary to the superintendent of Mt. Olive schools for 37 years, a member of the Church of the Ascension and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church. She was also an adoptive parent in the Save the Children program. She attended Mt. Olive schools, graduating from the high school in the class of 1936. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of Joseph John, Sr., and Katherine Agnes Karlovic Ozanic, and never married. Surviving are a brother, Joseph Ozanic, Jr., and wife Genevieve of Mt. Olive; sister, Roselyn Perino of Litchfield; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was a sister, Vernia Feldmann. Following the services a luncheon will be served to family and friends in the Ascension hall by members of the Altar and Rosary Society. Funeral Mass for Evelyn Ann Ozanic, of Mt. Olive, was said at 11 this morning in the Church of the Ascension there. The Rev. Father Larry Anschutz officiated with Daniel Dragovich and Anthony Oberneufemann as servers. The Ascension choir was directed by Pam Monke. Organist was Amy Dragovich. Burial was in Union Miners Cemetery. Pallbearers were Sylvan Kapusta, Joseph Feldmann, Stacey Furlow, Dan Mancini, Larry Wall, Barbara and Mary Ozanic. Following the services a lunch was served to family and friends in the Ascension Church hall by members of the Altar and Rosary Society. Miss Ozanic, 80, died Tuesday, December 1, in Litchfield Health Care Center.

Ozment, Howard L.

Howard L. Ozment, father of Deborah Vogt of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, June 15, in his home in Marion. He was 86 years old on April 21. He born in Johnson County, a son of Loren and Lucy Cummins Ozment. He married Mary E.Wieneke on October 22, 1938, in St. Louis. She survives. Surviving also are two other daughters, Sandra Johnson of Marion, Phyllis Gulati of Treasure Island, Fla.; three sisters, sixt grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services were held in Marion with burial in the Reevesville Cemetery.

Pacchetti, Barbara J.

Services for Barbara J. Pacchetti, formerly of Staunton, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lesicko Funeral Home, Livingston, with the Rev. Father George Radosvich officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Staunton. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to Multiple Sclerosis or the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Pacchetti died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 1999, in Hampton Nursing Care Center, Alhambra. She was 53 years old on November 17. She was a beautician for six years, retiring in 1968. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Livingston. She was born in East St. Louis, a daughter of Samuel H. and Lena Becker Hargrave. She married Arthur F. Pacchetti on October 29, 1966, in Livingston; they were later divorced. Surviving are a son, Mark Pachetti and wife Angela of Porter, Texas; her mother, Lena Hargrave of Livingston; and her former husband, Arthur Pacchetti of Staunton. Preceding her in death were her father, Samuel Hargrave and a twin sister at birth.

Pachesa, Neil

Services for Neil Pachesa, of Hillsboro, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Patton Funeral Home there wtih the Rev. Dr. Ronald Rhodus, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Mr. Pachesa was pronounced dead at 10:20 a.m. Monday, December 14, 1998, in his home. He was 24 years old on October 25. He had worked for Material Services, Nokomis, for approximately five years. He was a life long resident of Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1993. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Teamsters local and Ducks Unlimited. He was born in Hillsboro, a son of Robert Pachesa and Mary Lou Whitten Pachesa Weller, and was never married. Surviving besides his parents, both of Hillsboro, are a brother, Matt Pachesa and wife Michelle of Taylor Springs; half brother, Broc Pachesa of Hillsboro; paternal grandparents, Al and Marguerite Pachesa of Taylor Springs; maternal grandparents, Harold and Mary Lea Whitten of Hillsboro. His maternal grandmother, Mary Evelyn Whitten, preceded him in death.

Paddock, Bruce L.

Bruce L. Paddock, formerly of Hillsboro, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, in Skagit Valley Hospital, Burlington, Wash. He was 70 years old on September 10, and a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Paddock had resided in Burlington since 1965. He was born in Hillsboro, a son of Byron and Fern McHugh Paddock. He married Glorine Agnes Sedy on August 4, 1956, in Lyman, Wash. She survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Nancy Borgen of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; step son, Richard Reese of Arlington, Wash.; brother, Byron Paddock of Bloomington, Ill.; and three grandchildren. A brother, William Paddock preceded him in death.

Painter, Geraldine M.

Funeral arrangements for Geraldine M. "Gerry" Painter, of Litchfield, are pending at Plummer Funeral Home. Mrs. Painter, 73, died at 8:47 this morning in St. Francis Hospital. Services for Geraldine Mae "Gerry" Painter, of Ltichfield, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Plummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Bell of St. Timothy United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Cedar Ridge Cemetery Association. Mrs. Painter died at 8:47 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. She was 73 years old on December 16. She and her husband, Bernard, operated Kamper Kompanion Kampground Park for many years. The campground was located north of Litchfield near Honey Bend. She was born in Modesto, a daughter of Cecil Irving and Myrtle Elizabeth Friend Evans. She married Bernard Lee Painter on June 6, 1944, in Lovington, New Mexico. He died July 39, 1995. Surviving are sons, Jerry Lee Painter and wife Jean of Crossville, Tenn., Randy J. Painter and wife Lila of Springfield; daughter, Connie Schulte and husband Michael of Meridianville, Ala.; brothers, Clarence "Bud" Evans of Omaha, Neb., Clifford Wayne Evans of Shelbyville, Texas, Charles Allen Evans of Tempe, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Kevin Painter, Wendy Shreck, Michael Schulte, Jr., and five great grandchildren. Services for Geraldine Mae "Gerry" Painter, of Litchfield, were held at 10 a.m. Friday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Tony Bell of St. Timothy United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Cedar Ridge Cemetery at Honey Bend. Musical selections were "In the Garden," "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and "Peace in the Valley." Pallbearers were Curt Evans, Denny Evans, Kevin Painter, Melvin Painter, Bill Stewart and Mark Viehweg. Mrs. Painter, 73, died Tuesday, June 19, in St. Francis Hospital.

Palier, Raymond D.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Mr. Palier died at 3:13 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 1998, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. He was 77 years old, and a veteran of World War II. He was a manager for Chevron Oil before he retired, and a member of the American Legion. He was born in Gillespie, a son of Michael and Mary Hamrock Palier. His wife, the former Rae Marie Hull, survives. A brother, Francis Paul Palier, preceded him in death.

Palishen, Julia

Julia Palishen, sister of Richard Daly of Litchfield and Patrick Daly of Gillespie, died Saturday, February 20, 1999, in Knoxville, Tenn. She was 88 years old. She was born in Lanarkshire, Scottland, a daughter of Patrick and Annie McCardie Daly, and married Frankishe "Frank" Palishen on August 26, 1939, in Troy. Mo. He died in July 1972. Surviving besides her brother here are a daughter, Patricia Schlenker of Knoxville; son, Frank Palishen of Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a daughter, Margaret Mary Harris. Services were held in Pekin with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Pape, Elmer L.

Services for Elmer L. Pape, of East Alton, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wood River, with the Rev. Martin Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Prairietown Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Marks Mortuary at Wood River, or froom 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the church. The family suggests memorials be directed to the church. Mr. Pape died at 3:51 p.m. Friday, March 5, 1999, in Barnes - Jewish Hospital. He was 75 years old last March 16, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was owner of the Third Street Market in East Alton, and worked as meatcutter until he retired in 1985. He was born in Prairietown, a son of Louis F. and Frieda M. Dietzel Pape, and graduated from Edwardsville High School. He married June M. Opel on June 21, 1952, in St. Paul Lutheran Church. She survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Marcia Pape-Daniels and husband Scott of Springfieod, Va.; sister, Joyce Duelm and husband Arlin of Mt. Olive; and three grandchildren, Katharine, Jennifer and Matthew. Others surviving include four brothers in law and sisters in law, Glen and Sarah Opel of Pearland, Texas, Jean and Elsworth Hagemeier of Harlingen, Texas, Naomi and Jack Weller of Litchfield, Paul and Lois Opel of Worden.

Kenneth Sandlin will officiate. Mrs. Pappemeier, of Galesburg, died Sunday, January 10, 1999, in Rosewood Terrace Center there. She was 100 years old last September 7. She was born in Hillsboro, a daughter of Charles and Minnie Linxweiler Miller. Her father owned and operated Miller Dry Goods in Hillsboro for many years. She married Louis Pappemier of Litchfield on March 15, 1922; he died October 10, 1963. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Harold Miller and sisters, Virginia Miller and Lois Sihler. Surviving are sons, Harold and William Pappmeier, both of Galesburg; daughters, Lois Kent of Kansas City, Suzanne Childress of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Others surviving include a sister in law, Margaret Heath of Litchfield. Heathcliff-Pearson Funeral Home in Galesburg is in charge of arrangements.

Pappmeier, Mary K.

Mary K. Pappmeier, died Sunday, January 10, 1999, in Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg. She was 100 years old on September 7. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Round Table Club of Galesburg. She was born in Hillsboro, a daughter of Charles W. and Minnie Linxweiler Miller. She married Louis S. Pappmeier of Litchfield on March 15, 1922, in Hillsboro. He died October 10, 1963. Surviving are sons, J. Harold Pappmeier and William Pappmeier of Galesburg; daughters, Lois Kent and husband J.R. of Kansas City, Mo., Suzanne Childress and husband Homer of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In this are the only remaining relative is Margaret Pappmeier Heath of Litchfield. Preceding her in death were a brother, Harold Miller and sisters, Virginia Miller and Lois Sihler. Cremation was accorded. Entombment will be in the Oak Grove Mausoleum at Hillsboro. Hinchcliff-Pearson West Chapel in Galesburg was in charge of arrangements. A memorial service is planned at a later date.

Parker, Dwight D.

Services for Dwight D. Parker, of Staunton, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Williamson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Clint Braman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Parker died at 11:07 p.m. Monday, January 18, 1999, in the home of his sister, Faye Robinson of rural Staunton. He was 54 years old on July 18, and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He had resided in Staunton for the past two years and was a member of Staunton VFW Post 1241. He worked as a laborer in the construction industry. He was born in Egypt, Arkansas, a son of Garland and Ethel Smith Parker. Surviving besides his sister, Faye Robinson, are daughters, Beverly Brandon of Carlsbad, Texas, Tina Alverson of Fayetteville, Ark., Shelby Williams of Rogers, Ark.; brothers, Donnie L. Parker of Staunton, William Parker of Collinsville; and seven grandchidlren. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Garland and Darrell Parker.

Parkinson, Mary Lou

Memorial service for Mary Lou Parkinson, formerly of the local area, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Springfield. Bisch and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Parkinson, of Springfield, died Tuesday, December 22, 1998, in St. John's Hospital there. She was 94 years old on June 27. She taught at Taylorville High School for 10 years. She was born in Divernon, a daughter of Walter and Nancy Southard Holderread. She married Norman Parkinson in 1937 in Litchfield. He died in 1992. Surviving are a granddaughter, Elizabeth Murray of St. Charles, Mo., three great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. A daughter, Nancy Ryerson, preceded her in death.

Pastor, Angelina Lena

Services for Angelina Lena "Angie" Pastor, of Mt. Olive, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Trinity Church there with the Rev. Father Larry Anschutz officiating. Burial will be in Benld Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Becker and Son Funeral Home, Mt. Olive. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Frances Hospital or to Masses. Mrs. Pastor died at 6:13 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. She was 82 years old on March 21. She was a housekeeper in Mt. Olive before she retired, a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and an avid bingo player. She was born in Dalzell, a daughter of Edward and Margaret Pico Rossio, and attended the Wilsonville school. Her first marriage was to Ublado Rami in 1936; he died in July 1946. She married John Francis Pastor on November 19, 1949, in Mt. Olive; he died April 9, 1974. Surviving are a son, John E. Pastor and wife Gail of Hernando, Fla.; daughter, Frances M. Hartman and husband William of Chicago; sisters, Mary Mengal of Staunton, Jenny Wiser of Benld, Lucille Litherland of Indianapolis, Ind.; and four grandchildren. A sister, Katherine Booker, preceded her in death. Services for Angelina Lena "Angie" Pastor, of Mt. Olive, were held at 11 this morning in Holy Trinity Catholic Church there. The Rev. Father Larry Anschutz officiated. Daniel Dragovich and Braden Grejtak were altar servers. Ruthmary Zubal, organist, and the Holy Trinity choir provided the music. Pallbearers were Luke Pastor, Kris Hartmann, Erik Hartmann, Terry Marietta, Otto Goldasich, Mike Grejtak. Burial was in Benld Cemetery. Becker and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Following the services a luncheon was served to family and friends by the women of Holy Trinity. Mrs. Pastor, 82, died Saturday, March 27, in St. Francis Hospital.
