Services for James Tosetti, of Nokomis, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Louis Catholic Church there with the Rev. Father Pat Jakel officiating. Military rites will be conducted at graveside in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis. Mr. Tosetti died at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, November 26, 1998, in Hillsboro Hosptial. He was 77 years old on April 19, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a rural mail carrier before he retired and a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Lions Club, Legion, Knights of Columbus, and the Hillsboro Country Club. He was born in Nokomis, a son of Silvio and Genile Bernardi Tosetti. He married Darline Lamb on December 27, 1952, in St. Louis Catholic Church. She survives. Surviving also are a brother, Armand Tosetti of Decatur and a sister, Catherine Satterfield, Nokomis. Preceding him in death were brothers, Paul, Arthur, Primo, Elio, Frank at the age of 5 and one brother in infancy; and sisters, Angeline and Nelinda.
Towell, Kenneth
Funeral arrangements for Kenneth Towell, of Litchfield, are pending at Meinschein Funeral Home. Mr. Towell, 80, died at 8:40 this morning in his home. Services for Kenneth Francis Towell, of Litchfield, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Meinschein Funeral Home with Steve Revisky of the Christian Church of Litchfield officiating. Full military rites will be conducted at graveside in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The family suggests memorials be given to the Christian Church of Litchfield. Mr. Towell died at 8:40 a.m. Monday, September 27, 1999, in his home. He was 80 years old on September 2, and an Army veteran of World War II. He served in the 7th Division of the Army and was a recipient of two purple hearts and a bronze star. He was a partner in Towell Coal Company in Litchfield and then later worked for the State of Illinois. An avid horseshoe player, he participated in many tournaments and was a member of the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association of Illinois and Florida. He was a member of the Christian Church of Litchfield. He was born in Hillsboro, a son of Fred F. and Connie Clarinda Green Towell. He married Gladys Tackaberry on September 5, 1940, in St. Louis. She survives. Surviving also are sons, David Towell and wife Kathy of Litchfield, Roy Towell of Litchfield; daughters, Patricia Morgan of Glendale, Calif., Carol Blankenship of Litchfield, Margie Lamb of Taylorville, Kathy Robin Herring and husband Dave of Fenton, Mo.; brother, Bob B. Towell of Litchfield; sister, Eileen M. Lauber of Tucson, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a brother, Lester L. Towell and a sister, Kathleen Jayne Towell. Services for Kenneth Francis Towell, of Litchfield, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Meinschein Funeral Home. Steve Revisky of The Christian Church of Litchfield officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. During the services Kathleen Chandler sang "How Great Thou Art." She was accompanied by Gail Felts, organist. Pallbearers were Brian Blankenship, Kevin Blankenship, Nathan Herring, Robbie Morgan, Austin Towell and Ryan Towell. Honorary pallbearers were Andrew Lamb, Brad Frerichs, Wayne Batty, John Stewart, Gene Eskew, Roy Reener, Frank Demoulin. Military rites were accorded by American Legion Post 436 and VFW Post 3912, both of Litchfield. Attending from the Legion are Will Tackaberry, commander, Jess Yellowly, Bill Bates, Bill Rogers. Attending from the VFW were Larry Heisman, Jim Benton, Dave Allen, Larry Schneck, Leonard Schneck, Joe Wilson and Virgil Chasteen. Heisman and Benton folded the flag and presented it to the family. Heidi Johnson played Taps. Mr. Towell, 80, died Monday, September 27, in his home.

Services for William L. "Bill" Tranter, of Staunton, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Williamson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Father George Radosevich officiating. Mr. Tranter died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 1998, in Staunton Memorial Hospital. He was 75 years old on February 1, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked for the federal government in the records department until retiring in 1978. In 1982, he became a partner in Mr. T.'s tavern. He was a member of the Staunton Sportsmen's Club and American Legion Post 362 of Staunton. He was born in Staunton, a son of John and Caroline Goehe. He married Shirley Honerkamp on September 1, 1951, in Staunton. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Michael Tranter and wife Rita of Staunton; and four grandchildren, Michael Jr., Joshua, Mathew and Karissa, also of Staunton. Preceding him in death was a brother in infancy.

Mrs. Travis died at 7:29 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 1999, in Staunton Memorial Hospital. She was 85 years old on May 5. She was an inspector with Olin Corporation in East Alton for 28 years before retiring in 1968. She was a member of the Holy Dormition Orthodox Church in Benld, Staunton VFW Auxiliary and the Staunton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was born in Flat River, Mo., a daughter of Stephen and Martha Grivach Chura. She married George M. Travis on February 5, 1945, in Waterloo. He died April 16, 1966. Surviving are daughters, June Hatfill and husband Butch, Linda Prante and husband Bill, all of Staunton; step son, Merrill Travis of Staunton; step daughter, Cora Lee Dobbs of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Anastasia Regenhold of Seminole, Fla., Sophie Beckley of Benld; and four grandchildren, Gregory Hatfill of Staunton, Dawn Claro of Gillespie, Will and Matt Prante of Staunton. Preceding her in death were brothers, Adam and Harry Chura and a sister, Helen Senko.

Mr. Traylor died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 80 years old on October 3, and an Army veteran of World War II. He worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections for 29 years as a correctional officer, spending 27 years at Pontiac and two years at Graham before he retired. While residing at Pontiac, he became a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church there. In 1980, he moved to Irving and attended the Blessed Hope Baptist Church. He was a member of the AFSCME union. He was born in Bond County, a son of Edgar Alvin and Ethel Mae McCaslin Traylor. He married Hazel Durbin on July 8, 1953, in Shawneetown. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Gene Traylor and wife Judy of Irving; a daughter, Brenda and husband George of Pana; brothers, Delbert Traylor, Don Traylor and wife Donna, all of Coffeen, Darrell Traylor and wife Doris of Hillsboro, Dale Traylor and wife Dorothy of Taylor Springs; a sister, Iona Snider of Coffeen; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were brothers, Denver Traylor and another in infancy; and sisters, Mattie Mathis, Ethel Collman and Bertha Nell Traylor.
Trexler, Lena Unterbrink
Lena Unterbrink Trexler, mother of Dean and Bruce Unterbrink of Unterbrink Construction, Green ville, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, in Country Estates Health Care Center in Green ville. She was 90 years old on February 23. She was director of the Bond County Senior Citizens from 1975 to 1982. She was born in Tamalco Township of Bond County, a daughter of Martin H. and Mary Volkmar Sussen, and was married twice. She married Arthur J. Unterbrink on February 23, 1927, in Salem; he died in September 1957. She married George Trexler on June 13, 1959; he died in 1989. Surviving besides the two sons are a daughter, Norma Jean Schluckebier and husband William of Donnellson; step daughter, Alberta Grandt of Vandalia; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a sister, Alice Parrish and brothers, Julius and John Sussen. Services were held Saturday in Green ville with burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
Trobaugh, Stanley L.
Services for Stanley L. Trobaugh, of Hillsboro, were held at 11 this morning in Hough and Sons Funeral Home there. The Rev. Ivan Brake officiated. Burial was in Sunny Side Cemetery. Mr. Trobaugh died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 1999, in Hillsboro Hospital. He was 87 years old on February 3. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 32 years before retiring in 1977. He resided in East Peoria for 50 years before moving to Hillsboro in 1991. He was a member of the New Life Assembly Church of Coffeen. He was born in rural Panama, a son of Edward and Mary Kessinger Trobaugh, and attended schools there. He married Leona Butler on January 3, 1939, in Bowling Green , Mo. Surviving are a son, Stanley K. Trobaugh and wife Gayle and a grandson, Benjamin, all of California. Preceding him in death were eight sisters and one brother.

She was born in Chicago, a daughter of Conrad and Margaret Ejka Wika. She married John J. Trojaniak on September 29, 1934. He preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, John J. Trojaniak Jr. and wife Maria of Miami; step children, Adriana, Jose, Danilo and Viviano, all of Miami; sisters, Irene Bruen and Margaret Hamzik, both of Chicago, Florence Gilliland of Federal Way, Washington. Others surviving include sisters in law, Anna Wika of Chicago, Betty Weidler of Denver, Colo., Bernice Trojaniak of Carlinville. Preceding her in death were brothers, Richard and Irvin Wika.

He was an inspector for Laclede Steel Company before he retired. born in Olive Branch, he was a son of Daniel C. and Ethel Twente Troutwine. His wife, the former Martha Pauline Moore, survives. Surviving also are two sons, Mike Herron and Randy Troutwine, both of Gillespie as well as eight grandchildren and a great grandchild. Preceding him in death was a son, Larry Herron.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Louis Catholic School. Miss Turchi died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 1999, in her home in Coalton. She was 75 years old on June 9. She worked as a cashier for Kroger's until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Louis Church and the Order of the Forresters. Her favorite pastimes were traveling and doing handiwork. She was born in Nokomis, a daughter of Olympio and Maria Cattinari Turchi. Surviving is a sister, Rena Russell of Pana. Sutton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Turcol died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, January 18, 1999, in her home. She was 68 years old on July 4. She was a seamstress for 33 years before she retired in 1985. She resided in the Staunton, Benld and Mt. Olive areas most of her lifetime and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Staunton and the National Arbor Day Foundation. She was born in Bunker Hill, a daughter of Clifford and Laura Brackman Partridge, and graduated from Staunton High School in 1948. Her husband, Ray R. Turcol, preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Reisinger of Benld; sons, Darrell Turcol of Hillsboro, Leslie Turcol of Mt. Olive; a sister, Maxine Willhoit of Staunton; brothers, Charles Partridge and Fred Partridge, both of Staunton; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mr. Turner, of Girard, died Tuesday, February 16, 1999, in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He was 76 years old on November 7, and a veteran of World War II. He was born near Scottville, a son of James and Laura Young Turner. His first wife, Marjorie Sinclair, died in 1973. He married Sandra Franklin in 1977, and she survives. Surviving also are sons, Charles Turner of Plainview, Melvin Turner of South Roxana, Ralph Turner of Stafford, Texas, Frank Howard of Waverly, Richard and Ricky Howard, both of Girard; other daughters, Betty Freitag of Wood River, Shirley Elkins of Meadow Brook, Renee Joe of Branson, Mo., Linda Snider of Springfield, Bonnie Granger of Jonesboro, Ark., Roxanne Dunn of Longview, Texas, Elizabeth Bear of Virden; a sister, Louella Dugger of Carlinville; 25 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was 76 years old last August 19. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served at Pearl Harbor until December 21, 1943. In civilian life he was a farmer, worked at canning factory, in construction and was a janitor in local schools. He was born in Blythville, Arkansas, a son of James L. and Mary Shefford Turner. He married Bertha Jane Reynolds on August 4, 1946, in Bridges, Mo. She died April 17, 1998. Surviving are sons, Jessie Turner of Hillsboro, James Turner of Taylor Springs; daughters, Mary Vaughn of Springfield, Dorothy Epps of Sanford, Fla.; sisters, Edna Meyers of Memphis, Tenn., Lola Rogers of Rockford, Agiebee Shelton of Pocahontas, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were brothers, Cecil and Buck Turner.

Services for Mary A. Tuscan, of Staunton, were held at 11 this morning in Lesicko Funeral Home. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. No visitation was held. Mrs. Tuscan died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 1998, in Litchfield HealthCare Center. She was 83 years old on November 30. She was a bookkeeper and had worked for the State of Illinois and in Staunton for Bahn's Grocery Store and Johnson Motors. She was born in Staunton, a daughter of Frank and Mary Fritz Ausec. Surviving is a son, John D. Tuscan of Staunton. A sister, Ion Fey, preceded her in death.
Tuthill, Stephanie Lyn
Services for Stephanie Lyn "Peyton" Tuthill, daughter and granddaughter of former Hillsboro residents, were held this morning in the Denver, Colo. Miss Tuthill died Tuesday, February 23, 1999, by an intruder who broke into her Denver apartment. She was 24 years old. She was a daughter of Stephen Tuthill, now of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and granddaughter of F. Ernest Tuthill, now of Mary Esther, Fla., former teacher, principal and superintendent of Hillsboro schools. She was a 1997 graduate of the College of Charleston, where she was also president of Chi Omega sorority. While a student there, she worked with Habitat for Humanity, My Sisters House and the American Cancer Society. She was also a member of Rho Lambda National Honor Society, honoring Greek women who achieved excellence on campus and postively impacted their community. She trained with the National Outdoor Leadership school, studying the impact of man on the environment and as part of that experience, survived one month in remote and mountainous terrain while on foot and horseback. Surviving besides her father and grandfather are her mother, Pat Tuthill and a sister, Clara, of Fort Walton Beach; grandmother, Betty Rutkowski. Preceding her in death was her grandmother, Lois Tuthill, who was an elementary teacher in Hillsboro schools.

Services for Leroy David Tweedy, Jr., formerly of Worden, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Lesicko Funeral Home at Livingston with the Rev. Father George Radosevich officiating. Burial will be in Worden City Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Sacred Heart Church Restoration Fund or the Livingston Veterans Memorial. Mr. Tweedy, of Billings, Missouri, died at 6:10 p.m. Monday, February 8, 1999, in Cox Medical Center South at Springfield, Mo. He was 52 years old on June 13, and an Army veteran of Vietnam. He served in the Army from 1962 to 1970 and rose to the rank of sergeant. He was awarded the Purple Heart in June 1968. His injuries left him disabled. He was born in Chicago, a son of Leroy David and Sylvia A. Urbanski Tweedy. He married Joice M. Burgett in August 1965 in Pembroke, Ky., and they were later divorced. Surviving are sons, Leroy David Tweedy III and wife Penny of Ocala, Fla., Brian Tweedy of Kissimmee, Fla.; daughter, Lisa Warrer and husband Scott of Edwardsville; his former wife, Joice M. Tweedy of Hamel; his mother, Sylvia A. Harris of Worden; a sister, Christine Smilgius of Tinley Park; half brother, Vernon L. Harris and wife Sandy of Marion; half sister, Marlane Bequette of Worden; and five grandchildren. His father, Leroy David Tweedy Sr., preceded him in death.

Minerva Dena Johnson Uhlenhop died at 9:30 this morning, Wednesday, November 18, 1998, in LaSalle. She was 89 years old. She was a daughter of Fred and Louisa Johnson. Her husband, Henry Uhlenhop, of Bloomington, survives along with a sister, Lucille Doehler of Mt. Olive and brother, Roy Johnson of Kansas City. Others surviving include sisters in law, Reba Graham and Marie Billiter, both of Litchfield, and Isabell Burgoyne of Alton. A son, Robert, preceded her in death.

William J. Ukena, father of Rowena Huddleston of Witt, died Tuesday, September 8, 1998, in Heritage Manor of Pana. He was 91 years old last Sept. 14. He was a farmer and a lifeİlong resident of the Pana area. He was born in Christian County, a son of John and Mary Kopaunik Ukena. He married Edna May Niehiser in Taylorville in 1930. She died in 1993. Surviving besides the daughter are a brother, Joseph Ukena of Pana; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in McCracken Funeral Home, Pana. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery there.

She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, a daughter of Joseph and Rose Novak. She married Steve Urban on December 17, 1931. He survives. He was 55 years old on October 14, and an Army veteran of Vietnam. He served in Vietnam, from 1968 to 1970, and retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He earned a Purple Heart. He worked for Georgia Pacific in Mt. Olive for 25 years and at the time of his death was corrugated supervisor. He was active in the Livingston community, serving on the school board and formerly as a trustee of the village. He was also a manager and former vice president of the Livingston Little League, member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston, Staunton VFW Post 1241, John J. Slifka American Legion Post 1984 in Livingston, Masonic Lodge 560 A.F.&A.M. of New Douglas. He was born in St. Louis, a son of Robert, Sr., and Beulah Schweppe Urban. He married Sharon K. Watson on October 8, 1962, in Worden. She survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Milinda Clowers and husband Giles of Wood River; his mother, Beulah Urban of Livingston; brother, Lamar Urban and wife Mary of Livingston; sister, Sharon Ridens and husband Ron of Livingston. His father preceded him in death.
Urbancek, Frank A.
Funeral Mass for Frank A. Urbancek, of Coffeen, will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Catholic Church there by the Rev. Father Carl Schmidt. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in Patton Memorial Home. Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Moose rites will be conducted at 8 p.m. Mr. Urbancek died at 2:55 p.m. Monday, September 20, 1999, in Hillsboro Hospital. He was 83 years old on May 20, and a Navy veteran of World War II. During his military service, from 1941 to 1946, he earned the rank of lieutenant and served on the aircraft carrier USS Saginaw Bay. He was involved in the battle of Iwo Jima. A teacher, he taught in elementary and junior high schools for 37 years, including the Taylor Springs and the Hillsboro junior high schools. He was basketball coach at both schools and continued to enjoy the sport even after retiring from Hillsboro Unit School District 3. He attended nearly all Hillsboro basketball games, both home and away. He also farmed his own land near Coffeen in addition to teaching. A resident of the Coffeen area most of his life, he was a 1934 graduate of Coffeen High School. He earned a master's degree in 1942 from the University of Illinois. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Retired Teachers Association, VFW Post 1306 and the Hillsboro Moose Lodge. He was born in Coffeen, a son of Joseph and Susan Pasternak Urbancek, and never married. Surviving is a brother, Louis Urbancek of Hillsboro and several nieces, including from the area, Andrea Hull of Coffeen, Virginia Hess of Springfield, Mary Anderson of West Chester. Other residents of the area surviving are cousins Maynard Stokes and Patty Bellaver, both of Hillsboro. Preceding him in death were brothers, Joseph and Andrew Urbancek and sisters, Elizabeth Jones, Anna Urbancek and Demaris Urbancek.
Urbon, Stanley
A joint graveside service for Helen Pelc and Stanley Urbon will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Benld City Cemetery. The brother and sister were formerly from Benld. Mrs. Pelc, of Pontiac, Mo., died January 25, 1998, in Mountain Home, Ark. Her brother, Stanley Urbon, also of Pontiac, died September 2, 1997, in Mountain Home. A daughter and son of Frank and Barbara Juelevich Urbon, they were both born in Benld, she on April 3, 1911, and he on May 17, 1917. Both resided in the Chicago area for a number of years before moving to Pontiac. Mrs. Pelc worked for 25 years at the Presbyterian and St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago, retiring in 1984 and then moving to Pontiac. Her husband, Laddie Pelc, whom she married on January 27, 1932, died March 19, 1962. They had no children. Mr. Urbon worked at Goodman Manufacturing until he retired in 1993, and moved to Pontiac, Mo. He was survived by his wife; a son, William of California; daughters, Dawn Duty of Bensonville, Lauren Skrundy of Indiana and from a former marriage, Barbara Roller of Florida and Robert of Illinois; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A brother preceded the two in death. Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie Benld, was in charge of arrangements.
Valent, Matthew J.
Services for Matthew J. "Matt" Valent, of Staunton, were held at 1 p.m. today in Williamson Funeral Home there. The Rev. Father George Radosevich officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be directed to Staunton Home Health Department or the Life Support Fund of the Staunton Ambulance Service. Mr. Valent died at 7 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 1998, in his home. He was 89 years old on June 21. He worked for Illinois Terminal Railroad as a brakeman and conductor for 30 years before he retired in 1971. He was a 55 year member of the United Transportation Union. He was born in Staunton, a son of Matthew and Catherine Valent. He married Pearl Dohnal on February 28, 1933, in Springfield. She survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Janet Valent of St. Louis; a son, Marlin Valent and wife Jackie of Osage Beach, Mo.; sisters, Barbara Schunke of Alton, Catherine Bonner of Long Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Connie Lunte and husband Douglas of O'Fallon, Mo., Diane Valent of St. Louis and three great grandchildren, Megan, Matthew and Michele Lunte. Preceding him in death were sisters, Ann Dehen, Frances Pernichele and a brother, Matt Milich.
Valenti, Anthony
Services for Anthony "Tony" Valenti, of rural Alhambra, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Livingston, with the Rev. Maurice Alms officiating. Burial will be in Spangle Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Lesicko Funeral Home, Livingston. The family suggests memorials be directed to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Mr. Valenti died at 3:43 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 1999, in St. Luke's Hospital, Chesterfield. He was 75 years old on October 30, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a PFC in the Army, serving from 1943 to 1945. He was a millwright and worked for Laclede Steel in Alton for 30 years before retiring in 1986. Before that he worked as a coal miner. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Livingston, VFW Post 5790, Mt. Olive, and the United Steel Workers of America Local 3643 of Alton. He was born in Barnesboro, Va., a son of John and Mary Italiano Valenti. He married Vernita C. Meyer on September 14, 1947, in the Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Linda Carter and husband Robert of Alhambra, Annette Crosley and husband Thomas of Livingston; a brother, Joseph Valenti and wife Bonnie of Mt. Olive; five grandchildren, Anthony Dutton and wife Christy, Craig Dutton, Gerald Vallenti and wife Valerie, Kevin Carroll and wife Tricia, Thomas Crosley Jr and wife Stephanie; four great grandchildren, Alexander and Nicholas Vallenti, Tori Carroll, Joseph Dutton; and one step great granddaughter, Brittany Hard. Preceding him in death were brothers, Altilio and Paul Valenti.

Services for Michael Brian Valenti, of Gillespie, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church of Gillespie with the Rev. Ray Ditch officiating. Burial will be in Gillespie City Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kravanya Funeral Home. Mr. Valenti was pronounced dead at 2:59 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital as the result of injuries he received in a car - motorcycle accident in Gillespie earlier in the afternoon. He was 22 years old on November 13. He was a waiter at Papa JoDanni restaurant in Benld and had earned an associate degree in applied science from Lewis and Clark Community College, Godfrey. He graduated from Gillespie High School in 1994. He was born in Litchfield, a son of Michael W. and Frances Olmsted Valenti, and was not married. Surviving besides his parents are a sister, Jennifer Libbra of Mt. Olive; brother, David Valenti of Gillespie; grandparents, Harold and Elsie Olmstead of Gillespie, George and Elsie Hall of Staunton; and a nephew and niece, Bradley and Karlie Libbra of Mt. Olive. Preceding him in death was a grandfather, Altilio Valenti.
