Vandever, Jo
Services for Jo Vandever, of Hillsboro, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Bass Funeral Home there with the Rev. Kenneth Sandlin, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wares Grove Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Paul's Church or to Hillsboro Hospital. Mrs. Vandever died at 12:15 this morning, Thursday, June 11, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. She was 81 years old on September 8. Although most of her life was spent in the local area, she also resided in Chicago and Springfield. She was a legal secretary in her younger years and was very artistic. She enjoyed working with stained glass, oil painting and macrame. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1934 and from Brown's Business College in 1936. She was an active member of St. Paul's Church, serving as Sunday School secretary for many years. She was fundraising chairman of the Hillsboro Hospital Auxiliary in 1973 when money was raised for the new hospital. An accomplished golfer, she was a member of the Hillsboro Country Club and the second woman to serve as club president. She was also a former member of the Hillsboro Woman's Club. She was born in Irving Township of Montgomery County, a daughter of John and Mary Balzask Cimbalista. She married Ralph A. Vandever on April 23, 1938. He survives. Surviving also are daughters, Joanne "Jody" Dunn of Hillsboro, Vicki Cook and Virginia "Ginger" Vandever, both of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Ann Koniak and husband Jacob of Benld; four grandchildren, Jeff, Jamee and Jenny Dunn, all of Hillsboro, and Rebecca Cook of Denver, Colo., and one great granddaughter, Kellee Keiser. Preceding her in death were a brother, Michael Cimbalista who died during World War II; and sisters, Marie Beck, Margaret Strange, Agnes Catazaro and Pauline Grimm.
VanGieson, Wayne James
Wayne James VanGieson, step father of Steve Allen of Nokomis, died at 2:17 a.m. Sunday, July 12, 1998, in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He was 82 years old on January 27. Mr. VanGieson, of Taylorville, was a retired coal miner and famrer. He also had worked as a John Deere mechanic at Gordon Implement Company in Riggston, Ill. He was born in Macoupin County, a son of James Dalton and Gldays Elizabeth Peterson VanGiesen. He married Virginia Harrison on February 3, 1934. She died January 10, 1994. Later, on September 9, 1994, he married Lila Phelps in Modesto. She survives. Surviving also are sons, James Wayne VanGiesen of Murrayville, David Duane VanGiesen of Jacksonville; a step daughter, Charlotte Allen Ostermeier of Springfield; a sister, Fern Faugust of Florida; several grandchildren, step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, Wayne James VanGiesen Jr. and sisters, Eleanor O'Brien and Velma Unser. The remains were cremated with inurnment in Jones Cemetery at Roodhouse. Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville, was in charge of arrangements. ŚMemorial services are planned for a later date.
Vannucci, Joseph A.
Funeral Mass for Joseph A. Vannucci, of Gillespie, will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Cross Church, Wilsonville, by the Rev. Father Robert Porter. Burial will be in Benld City Cemetery with military rites conducted by VFW Post 4547, Gillespie. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie. Prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Holy Cross Church at Wilsonville. Mr. Vannucci died at 8:23 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 1998, in Staunton Memorial Hospital. He was 76 years old on April 1, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a machinist with Olin Corporation in Alton before he retired, and a member of the Gillespie VFW Post. He was born in Wilsonville, a son of Mario and Jennie Dolfi Vannucci. His wife, the former Margaret "NiNi" Erio, survives. Surviving also is a sister, Esther Ferrari of Wilsonville. A brother, Reno Vannucci, preceded him in death.
Vanzo, Henry R.
Services for Henry Rico Vanzo, of Taylor Springs, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Patton Memorial Home with the Rev. Father Dave Schmidt, pastor of St. Agnes Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Mr. Vanzo died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 1999, in Montgomery Health Care at Taylor Springs. He was 92 years old on September 1. He spent most of his life in Taylor Springs where he owned and operated Vanzo's Grocery store from 1947 to 1963. He worked as a laborer in construction from 1963 until his retirement in 1979. He also worked as a coal miner for approximately 20 years. At the age of 16, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals and played first base. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Labor Local 1084, Knights of Columbus and a charter member of the Hillsboro Moose. He was born in Williamson, a son of Anton and Josephine Menghini Vanoz. He married Mary Vigliocco in July 1931 in Green ville. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Robert and William Vanzo, both of Taylor Springs; and grandchildren, Bruce Vanzo of Taylor Springs, Linda Paller of Schram City, Mary Jo Timmons of Benton, Lisa DeAlba of Oak Park. Preceding him in death are sisters, Linda Lindsay, Josephine Anderson and Helen Ruffini.

Mrs. Vanzo died at 10:38 p.m. Friday, March 26, 1999, in Hillsboro Hospital. She was 67 years old on January 20. She was born in Butler, a daughter of Miles and Lois Karrick Brown, and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1950. She married William H. Vanzo on February 4, 1951, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, and they moved to Taylor Springs. Surviving are her husband, William of Taylor Springs; a son, Bruce Vanzo and wife Debby of Taylor Springs; daughters Linda Paller and husband Mark of Schram City, Mary Jo Timmons and husband Andy of Benton, Lisa DeAlba and husband James of Oak Park; mother, Lois Rogers of Butler; sisters, Marcella Mutchler of Butler, Marilyn Rufus of Springfield, Eleanore Massey of Old Ripley, Grace Levine of Chatham; eight grandchildren, Rena and Joseph Vanzo of Taylor Springs, Max and Rosa Paller of Schram City, Whitney and Troy Timmons of Benton, Nicholas and Michael DeAlba of Oak Park. Her father, Miles Brown, preceded her in death.
Varner, Eddie L.
Services for Eddie L. Varner, of Sorento, were held at 11 this morning in the Sorento Assembly of God Church. The Rev. William Hughes officiated. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be directed to the church. Mr. Varner died at 8:20 p.m. Friday, July 9, 1999, in his home. He was 72 years old on November 8. He operated his own milk hauling service in the early years and later was employed by Granite City Steel Company. He retired from there as a hod carrier. He resided in Sorento all of his life, was a member of American Legion Post 713 there and was affiliated with the Sorento Assembly of God Church. He was born in Montgomery County, a son of Edgar A. and Myrtle Arnold Varner. He married Opal Ingles on August 8, 1945, in Sorento. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Gary Varner and wife Corrine, Billie Varner and wife Esther, all of Sorento; sisters, Ruth Whiteside of Carlinville, Margie Bryan of Wood River; four grandchildren, Tom, Dwayne, Vonda and Jim Varner. Preceding him in death were brothers, Andrew and Ernest Varner.
Varwig, Alvin B.
Alvin B. Varwig, of Staunton, died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 1999, in his home. He was 65 years old on December 23, and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked for Tabular Steel in Staunton for four years and before that was a dock worker at Gateway Trucking Company, Chicago, for 20 years. He was a member of Staunton VFW Post 1241. He was born in Staunton, a son of Bill and Mable Smith Varwig, and was not married. Surviving are sons, Jules and Brad Varwig, both of Staunton; sisters, Fanchon M. Marra-Gehm, Wilma Raye Tretter, both of Staunton and Sharon Slifka of Livingston; brothers, Bart Smiley of Lee Acres, Fla., Frank Smiley of Staunton, William I. Heaton of Waverly; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Tracey and Leslie Varwig of Staunton. A brother, Harry Smiley, preceded him in death. No services are planned. The remains were cremated. Williamson Funeral Home, Staunton, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Staunton Memorial Hospital.
Vazzi, Frank L.
Funeral Mass for Frank L. Vazzi, of Worden, will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livingston by the Rev. Father George Radosevich. Burial will be in Worden City Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6;30 p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to either Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Livingston or the Worden Fire District. Mr. Vazzi died at 11:08 p.m. Friday, September 25, 1998, in Staunton Memorial Hospital. He was 80 years old on October 10, and an Army veteran of World War II. He worked at the Shell Oil Refinery in security and safety for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, playing euchre and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Livingston, life member of Staunton VFW Post 1241, Worden American Legion Post 564, and a retired member of the Worden Volunteer Fire Department. In addition he served for 15 years on the Worden Board of Education. During his military service, he was a 1st Sergeant with the 41st Division, 218th Field Artillery in the Pacific Theatre. He was awarded two bronze stars and the Good Conduct medal. He was born in Glen Carbon, a son of Frank and Hermina Hadar Vazzi. He married Elizabeth Straub on December 23, 1946. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Frank Vazzi and wife Sheryl of Mt. Olive, Jim Vazzi and wife Joan of Nokomis, J.D. Vazzi and wife Rhonda of Staunton, Bob Vazzi of Port Washington, Wis.; a daughter, Lisa Sciranko and husband Brian of Staunton; brother, Steve "Pete" Vazzi of Worden; sisters, Julia McCurry of San Francisco, Calif., Ella Oltmann and Margaret Brinker, both of Worden; grandchildren, Brian and Erin Vazzi of Mt. Olive, Gabe and Kristy Cesaretti of Nokomis, Jamie Vazzi, Kristine Vazzi and Donnie Vazzi of Staunton, Bryn Sciranko of Staunton; and one great grandchild, Marissa Cesaretti of Nokomis. Vercellotti, Louis
Services for Louis "Congo" Vercellotti, formerly of Nokomis, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 6, in Stiehl - Dawson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Father Pat Jakel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Vercellotti, of Santa Barbara, Calif., died Wednesday, December 1, 1999, in Santa Barbara. He was 81 years old on March 20, and an Army veteran of World War II. During his military career, he served in the Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, Luzon and the Phillipines. Before the war, he and Ronald "Izzy" Calvetti operated the LaConga Gardens Tavern in Coalton. After the war, he tended bar at the Town Pump with Jewel "Russ" Lauris. Later he acquired the tavern. In 1959, he and his wife built the bowling alley adjoining the tavern. They sold the Town Pump and Bowl and retired in 1972. He moved to Santa Barbara three years ago. He was born in Coalton, a son of Anton and Filomena Pissardo Vercellotti, and graduated from Nokomis High School. He married Jewel Lauris on June 7, 1954, in Grenada, Miss.; she died September 1, 1972. Surviving are a nephew and two nieces, a sister in law and cousins, none from the local area. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Joe and John Vercellotti.
Veres, Norma
Funeral Mass for Norma Veres, of Panama, will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church there by the Rev. Father Carl Schmidt. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Perfetti Funeral Home, Panama. Mrs. Veres died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 1999, in Hillsboro Health Care Center. She was 86 years old on August 17. A life-long resident of Panama, she was a member of the Sacred Heart church and the Panama VFW Auxiliary. She was a daughter of John Batista and Angela Carradini Palleva. She married Andy Veres on January 19, 1946, in Chicago. He preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Robert Veres of Panama and one grandchild. The last of her family, she was preceded in death by three brothers, one in 1936, Dan Palleva on July 25, 1964 and John Palleva.

Mr. Viehland died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 1999, in Montgomery Health Care Center, Hillsboro. He was 81 years old on May 25. He was a farmer and a farmhand. He also worked for the elevators in Morrisonville and in Harvel. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel. He was born in Eureka, Mo., a son of Edward Karl and Sarah Elizabeth Capehart Viehland. He married Dorothy Hazel Riemann on February 15, 1948, in Farmersville. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Dale Viehland and wife Melinda of Hillsboro; daughter, Ruth Duff and husband Jim of Christopher; and five grandchildren. Services for Earl Viehland, formerly of Harvel, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Trinity Lutheran Church there. The Rev. Clifford Adair officiated. Burial was in Rovey Cemetery, Farmersville. Organist was Jennifer Henderson. She accompanied the congregation while they sang "I'm But a Stranger Here." Pallbearers were Mike Armour of Raymond, Albert Eyman of Morrisonville, Danny Riemann of Farmersville, Darin E. Riemann of Atwater, John Riemann of Litchfield and Randall Riemann of Raymond. Following the services a luncheon was provided for family and friends by the women of the church. Plummer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Viehland, 81, died Saturday, May 29, in Montgomery Health Care Center, Hillsboro.

Services for Roleen Leona Viehweg, of Mt. Olive, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Zion Lutheran Church there with the Rev. Terry Breum officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Mrs. Viehweg died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 1999, in her home. She was 81 years old on October 15. She was president of the Mt. Olive Senior Citizens Housing, member of the Mt. Olive Senior Citizens, the VFW Post 5790 Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. A member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Mt. Olive, she was baptized there on November 4, 1917 and confirmed on May 20, 1932. She attended Mt. Olive public schools and graduated from Mt. Olive High School in the class of 1935. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of Herman and Leona Droste Wohlers. She married Harold Edward Viehweg on November 20, 1937, in the Wohlers home in Mt. Olive. He died April 13, 1987. Surviving are sons, William Viehweg of Mt. Olive, Roger Viehweg and wife Lorraine of Chicago; a daughter, Sharon Lynn Anderson of Fort Meyer, Fla.; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a sister, Laverne Schoppman. Following the services on Monday a lunch will be served to family and friends in the fellowship hall by the women of the church. Services for Roleen Leona Viehweg, of Mt. Olive, were held at 11 this morning in Zion Lutheran Church there. The Rev. Terry Breum officiated. Burial was in Mt. Olive City Cemetery. During the service the congregation sang "Amazing Grace" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" The Zion choir sang "In the Garden" and "My God and I." Elda Prange was the organist and pianist. Pallbears were Steve Viehweg, Tobin Viehweg, Jamie Viehweg and Wayne Viehweg, all grandsons, Richard Grimes and Walter Friesner, Jr. Following the services a lunch was served to family and friends in the Zion Fellowship hall by women of the church. Mrs. Viehweg, 81, died Thursday, September 30, in Mt. Olive.
Visintine, Florence E.
Florence Elizabeth Visintine, of Litchfield, died at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 1998, in her home. She was 90 years old on August 8. She had resided in Litchfield for the past 14 years, having moved here from Crestwood, Mo. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. She was born in East St. Louis, a daughter of Edward W. and Nina Reeds Crank. She married Angelo d. Visintine on June 3, 1939, in DeSoto, Mo. He died January 4, 1982. Surviving are sons, Ronald and Gary Visintine, both of Litchfield; five grandchildren, Mark Visintine of Lincoln, Brian Visintine of Corpus Christi, Texas, Matt Visintine of Litchfield, Douglas Goodenough of Boston, Mass., Angela Goodenough of Barrington; and one great grandson, Roman Angelo Visintine. Preceding her in death were a daughter, Sharon Kay Goodenough and a brother, Leland. Services were held at 11:30 this morning in Mt. Carmel Cemetery Chapel, Belleville. Rev. Father Bernard Voss officiated. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Plummer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Mark Visintine of Lincoln, Brian Visintine of Corpus Christi, Texas, Matt Visintine, Ron Visintine, Gary Visintine, all of Litchfield, and Sam Visintine of Belleville. Honorary pallbearers were Tony and Joe Visintine. The family suggests memorials to Zion Lutheran School, the Litchfield Volunteer Fire Department or St. Francis Hospice Services.
Viviano, Lizzie
Services for Lizzie Viviano, formerly of Panama, were held Saturday morning in Woolsey Funeral Home, Pekin, with George Lesicko delivering the eulogy. Burial was in Glendale Memorial Gardens at Pekin. Mrs. Viviano, of Pekin, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 1998, in Methodist Medical Center of Peoria. She was 93 years old on March 29. She resided in Panama for several years until 1933, when she and her husband "Jacko" moved to Green valley. They operated a tavern there until 1942, when they moved to Pekin. She was born in Troy, a daughter of Dominic and Mary Chiolino Vittone. She married James "Jacko" Viviano on February 4, 1922, in St. Louis. They celebrated their 75th anniversary in February 1997. He survives. Surviving also are a niece, Angie DeRight who made her hope with the couple for more than 60 years; a sister, Anna Davis of Panama; a brother, Raymond Vittone and his wife Frances of Belevidere; and a sister in law, Anice Savant of Hillsboro. Preceding her in death were brothers, John Savant, Sylio "Sy" Savant and sisters, Peg St. Angelo, Jennie DeRight, Clara Mathias and Gloria in infancy.

She was a nurse at St. Francis Hospital for 23 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive. She attended the Immanuel Lutheran Grade School and the Mt. Olive High School. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid bingo player and a member of the Mt. Olive senior citizens. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of Fred and Louise Ewald Hinz. She married Louis S. Vogt on April 19, 1933, in the Church of the Ascension parsonage in Mt. Olive. He died February 19, 1958. Surviving are a brother, Carl Hinz and wife Arleen of Litchfield along with a number of nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were sisters, Esther Chernis, Irma Riemenschneider, Elfrieda Voigt and a brother, Alfred Hinz. Services for Alma Emma Vogt, of Mt. Olive, were held at 11 a.m. today in Holy Trinity Church there. The Rev. Father John Sheahan said the funeral Mass assisted by altar servers Braden Grejtak and Daniel Dragovich. David Thomas and Marie Katchmar were Eucharistic ministers. The church choir sang accompanied by organist Ruth Zubal. Pallbearers were Bruce Whitt, Clarence Zubal, John Knowles, Dave Thomas, Dave Yancik Sr. and Wayne Wise. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Vogt, 85, died Tuesday, September 21, in Heritage Manor of Litchfield.

She worked in the laundry department at St. Francis Hospital and also worked at Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, treasurer of the Sunday School there for many years and a member of the Lydia Circle and the Quilters. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of Fred and Louise Ewald Hinz, and attended the Immanuel Lutheran School in Mt. Olive. She married Carl F. Voigt on November 24, 1927, in Mt. Olive. He died April 10, 1991. Surviving are a son, Donald C. Voigt and wife Helen of Montgomery; daughter, Carol A. Goodman and husband Roger of Mt. Olive; a brother, Carl Hinz and wife Arleen of Litchfield; sister, Alma Vogt of Mt. Olive; four grandchildren, Lisa Whitt of Yorkville, David Voigt of Montgomery, Corie Knowles of Mt. Olive, Ashley Goodman of Mt. Olive; three great grandchildren, Jillian Whitt, Alise Whitt and Alison Knowles. Preceding her in death were sisters, Esther Chernis, Ira Riemenschneider and a brother, Alfred Hinz. Following the services a lunch will be provided for family and friends in the educational building of the church by members of the Lydia Circle.

Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Michael's Church. Mr. Vojas died at 9:44 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 1998, in Staunton Memorial Hospital. He was 92 years old last January 3. He was a utility worker with McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis for 13 years before he retired in 1971, and before that he was a coal miner. He was a member of St. Michael's Church in Staunton and the Machinests Union 837 of St. Louis. He was born in Czechoslovakia, a son of Louis and Mary Jendazjak Vojas. He married Hilda Kuc on May 22, 1936, in Staunton. She survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Kathy Brown and husband Don of Staunton; a son, Richard Vojas and wife Mary of Collinsville; five grandchildren, Richard, Mark and Tom Vojas, and Ali and Amy Brown; nine great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were brothers, Louis, John and Walter Vojas; a sister, Ann Fiori; and two half brothers, Joseph and Henry Grysiewicz.
Vollintine, G. Harrison
Services for G. Harrison "Harry" Vollintine, of Donnellson, were held today in Perfetti Funeral Home, Sorento. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery. Mr. Vollintine died at 5:54 p.m. Monday, October 5, 1998, in his home. He was 71 years old on December 13. He was a life long resident of the Walshville, Donnellson, Sorento and Hillsboro areas. He was a member of the Shoal Creek Fox Hunters Association and the Walshville Baptist Church. He was born in Sorento, a son of Glenn C. and Nora A. Kline Vollintine. He married Doris L. Roach on April 4, 1949, in Hillsboro. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Kenneth Vollintine of Terrell, Texas; daughters, Paulette Osborn of Fillmore, Connie Jones of Hillsboro; a brother, Lamoin Vollintine of Walshville; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Preceding him in deth were two brothers who were killed in World War II.
Voyles, Marion Roland
Services for Marion Roland Voyles, of Litchfield, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Plummer Funeral Home. Earl Nail, friend and former co©worker, officiated. Eulogy was given by Dan Lamb. Musical selection was "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were Ellsworth Easterly, Clinton Fenton, Lee Hall, Dan Lamb, Jim Murphy and Bob Reid, all of Litchfield. Burial was in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Dave Allen, of VFW Post 3912, presented the flag to Mrs. Evelyn Voyles. Following the services, a meal was provided for family and friends by the Women of the Moose. Mr. Voyles, 77, died Sunday, January 3, in Barnes Jewish Hsopital, St. Louis.
Waddington, Robert
Services for Robert "Bob" Waddington, brother of Donna Lehman of Nokomis, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in McCracken Funeral Home, Pana. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond. Mr. Waddington, of Pana, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, in his home. He was 62 years old on August 15. He was a farmer in the Rosamond area before he retired. He was born in Montgomery County, a son of Ralph and Dorothea Limer Waddington. He married Helen E. Vandenbergh in 1966 in Pana. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Jeffrey L. Waddington of Pana; daughters, Amy E. and Kimberly S. Waddington, both of Pana; brothers, James and Roger Waddington of Pana, Eric "Rick" Waddington of Omaha, Neb.; other sisters, Thelma Aumann of Ohlman, Mary Baker, Norma Mizeur, Rosalie McLeod, Marjorie Cearlock and Betty Temmen, all of Pana; and six grandchildren.

Services for Ellis O. Wade will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Williamson Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Mr. Wade, of rural Murrayville, died Friday, June 25, 1999, in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He was 60 years old on July 12. He was a truck driver with WCT Trucking, member of the Teamsters Union, Jacksonville Moose Lodge, Morgan County Boat and Ski Club and the Winchester United Methodist Church. He was born in Scott County, a son of Peter Ellis and Frances Evens Wade. He married Mary Fletcher in 1981 in Litchfield. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Brade Wade of Winchester, Tom Murphy of Irving, Mike Murphy of Hillsboro, Tim Murphy of Prembrook Pine, Fla., Josh Murphy of Jacksonville; a daughter, Darcy Turnipseed and husband Ed of Tampa, Fla.; brothers, Larry, Lloyd and Tom Wade, all of Winchester; sisters, Nancy Haskell of Ashland, Mo., Vickie Deeder of Winchester; and eight grandchildren.

Graveside service for Emmett Glenn Wade, formerly of Litchfield, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Elmwood Cemetery. The Rev. Jay Johnson of the Union Avenue Christian Church will officiate. Plummer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. No visitation is planned. Mr. Wade, of Decatur, Texas, died Monday, April 26, 1999, in Baylor University Hospital, Grapevine, Texas. He was 63 years old last May 10. He worked in construction as a paving superintendent. He was born in Costa, W.Va., a son of Dennis Cleveland and Myrtle Kline Wade. He married Connie Husman on February 9, 1974, in the Union Avenue Christian Church. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Dennis H. Wade of Joliet, Tobias Harrison of Decatur, Texas; daughters, Gloria Sue Stoffle and Becky Jean Perez of Chicago, Wendy Cannon of Hurst, Texas, Tina Bromley of Dallas, Texas, Shelly Garrett of Corsacana, Texas; a brother, Carl Wade of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Maxine Booker of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Madge Wade and Toka Field of Charleston, W.Va., Beulah Ash of Winchester, Va., Lois Kinder of Nellis, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Others surviving include his mother in law, Mrs. Hildreth Husman of Decatur, Texas, formerly of Litchfield. Preceding him in death were brothers, Vohn, Oshall and Lonnie Wade; sister, Lola Mae Willey; and a grandson, John Cannon.

Funeral Mass for Betty Jo Wagahoff, of Raymond, will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Raymond's Catholic Church there by the Rev. W.R. Maul. Burial will be in St. Raymond's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hough Funeral Home, Raymond. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to the American Diabetes Association, the Raymond Knights of Columbus Hall or the Tuberous Sclerosis Association. Mrs. Wagahoff died at 12:20 this morning, Monday, August 23, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. She was 65 years old last October 6. She was born in White Oak, a daughter of Ray and Sophie Watson Erwin. She married Robert L. Wagahoff on August 10, 1950, in Hillsboro. He survives. Surviving also are sons, Gerald L. Wagahoff of Raymond, Daniel J. Wagahoff of White Hall, Robert G. Wagahoff of Raymond; daughters, Donna S. Wagahoff of Springfield, Marlene J. Marten of Raymond; brother, Bob Erwin of Elgin; sisters, Myrtle Barto of Raymond, Mary White of Hillsboro; and 11 grandchildren.

Services for Alice F. Wagahoft, of Morrisonville, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church of Taylorville. Burial will be in Harvel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Moffitt Funeral Home, Morrisonville. Mrs. Wagahoft died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 1999. She was 85 years old last December 27. She was a life-long resident of the Morrisonville area, member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid of the church, and the Christian County Home Extension. She was a 4-H leader for over 20 years. She was born in Taylorville, a daughter of Cleve and Nellie Maher Cleveland. She married Harold Wagahoft on March 17, 1944, in Montgomery County. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1999. Surviving are a son, Bob Wagehoft of Morrisonville; daughers, Karen King and husband Roy, Mary Ann Barnes and husband Danny, all of Springfield; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. A brother and two grandsons preceded her in death.

He was a farmer before he retired and lived in the Morrisonville area all of his life. He was born in Morrisonville, a son of Ben and Pearl Floyd Wagehoft. He married Alice Cox in 1944. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Bob Wagehoft of Morrisonville; daughters Karen King and Mary Ann Barnes, both of Springfield; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Preceding him in death were a brother, Kenneth Wagehoft, a sister in infancy and two grandchildren.
