Jack Richard Ottinger, 61, of Kokomo, died June 26 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo.
He was born May 18, 1949, in New Castle, a son of the late Orville L. and Margaret Ruth (LeMay) Ottinger.
Mr. Ottinger was a 1967 Knightstown High School graduate who retired from Chrysler Corporation. He worked at Chrysler’s Indianapolis and Kokomo plants. A member of UAW #685, Mr. Ottinger was recently employed by KB Backflow in Kokomo.
Survivors include his wife, Bridget Ottinger of Kokomo; a daughter, Shelli (husband, Matt) Griffin of Rushville; a stepdaughter, Nicci (husband, Ed) Frazier of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Bob (wife, Paula) Ottinger of Knightstown and John (wife, Pam) Ottinger of Carthage; three grandchildren, Whitley Griffin of Greenfield, Wade Griffin of Rushville and Tyler Frazier of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.; a great-granddaughter, Aliyah Paige Fada of Greenfield; three brothers-in-law, David Jachim, Dale Jachim and Kevin Jachim; a sister-in-law, Heather (husband, Phil) DeLosReyes; his father- and mother-in law, Richard and Arlowa (Singleton) Jachim of Anderson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was June 29 at the funeral home.

Woodrow W. Enix
December 11, 1922 - June 10, 2010
Woodrow W. Enix, 87, of Mansfield, Ohio, died June 10 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.
He was born Dec. 11, 1922, in Fitch, Ky., a son of the late Isaac and Armintie "Mint" (Hardyman) Enix.
Formerly a leadman for Westinghouse Corp., Mr. Enix was a U.S. Marines veteran, having served from 1941-45. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant. Mr. Enix enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, gardening and carpentry.
Survivors include his wife, Odelene (Stephens) Enix; a daughter, Penny S. (husband, Doug) McClain of Ontario, Ohio; two sons, Donald R. (wife, Janis) Enix of Lawton, Okla., and David E. Enix of Ontario; five grandchildren, Kimberley (husband, Bret) Jamison, Rachele (husband, Jim) Meade, Donald (wife, Carrie) Enix Jr., Daniel Enix and Justin Enix; three step-grandchildren, Kevin (wife, Zinda) Thomas, Misty Roberts and Tracey Clay; two great-grandchildren, Riley Meade and Mike Enix; six step great-grandchildren, Andrew Thomas, Levi Hadley, John Roberts, Megan Enix, Angela Mix and Zarra Thomas; two brothers, John (wife, Bonnie) Enix and Cecil Enix; a sister, Ruth (husband, David) Ash; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Clyde and Ivan Enix; two sis ters, Louise Enix and Mildred Steagall; a granddaughter, Daphne Daniels; and a great-grandson, Peyton Enix.
Funeral services were June 15 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Memorial Park with full military graveside honors provided by the United States Marines Burial Detail. Visitation was June 14 at the funeral home.
Elizabeth L. Fort
December 13, 1964 - June 11, 2010
Elizabeth L. (Wyatt) Fort, 45, of Knightstown, died June 11 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
She was born Dec. 13, 1964, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Jack and Anna (Andis) Wyatt.
Mrs. Fort was a 1983 Knightstown High School graduate. She earned an elementary education degree from Indiana University and was an Indiana University School of Nursing grad uate. She was employed at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis in the pediatric oncology unit. Mrs. Fort was known for her love of children and taking care of others. She was also known as a dedicated mother who enjoyed watching her son, Jack, participate in basketball and baseball. A member of Knightstown United Methodist Church, she enjoyed gardening, golfing, reading, antique shopping and photography. An avid sports fan, she particularly enjoyed watching college basketball.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Fort of Knightstown; a son, Jack Wyatt Fort of Knightstown; her father in-law, Max Fort of Knightstown; her mother-in-law, Beverly (husband, Brooks) Mounsey of Bluffton; a broth er, Mike (wife, Stacy) Wyatt of Knightstown; two sisters, Michele Wyatt of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Trish (husband, Jim) Steele of Groveland, Mass.; three nephews, Kraig Gebhardt of Indianapolis, Joey Wyatt of Knightstown and Sam Steele of Groveland, Mass.; and two nieces, Annie and Sarah Steele of Groveland, Mass.
Funeral services were June 15 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Pastor Bill Roberts officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was June 14 at the funeral home.

Barbara J. Widner

Barbara J. Widner, 81, of New Castle, died June 2 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
She was born May 7, 1929, in Knightstown, a daughter of the late John O. and Mary C. (Clark) Dawson.
Mrs. Widner retired from Ameriana Bank in New Castle in 1990 after several years of serv ice. She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church and Shirley Order of the Eastern Star #492. Mrs. Widner enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sports and was an avid Colts fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn (husband, Bill) Charlton of Indianapolis and Sharyl Widner of New Castle; a son, Jeff Widner of New Castle; five grandchildren, Shanna (husband, Jason) Duff of Greenfield, Stephani (husband, Kirk) Czap of Washington, D.C., Erin (wife, Dawn) Widner of Greenfield, Scott (wife, Sarah) Widner of New Castle and Brooke Widner of New Castle; four great-grandchildren, Taylore, Lexi and Shaely Duff of Greenfield and Bryce Widner of New Castle; a brother, Richard (wife, Sue) Dawson of Chesterfield; a sister-in-law, Margaret Selvidge; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Beryl Widner, Jr.; a granddaughter, Melissa Widner; three great-grandsons; and a niece, Nancy Ann Dawson.
Funeral services were June 7 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was June 6 at the funeral home.

Jeannine S. Oldham, 61, of New Castle, died June 5 at her home.
She was born Jan. 16, 1949, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Robert and Juanita (Carter) Oaldon.
A 1967 Knightstown High School graduate, Mrs. Oldham was an inside sales manager at Draper Shade and Screen, where she worked for over 30 years. She attended Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Michael "Mike" Oldham; two sons, Christopher (wife, Dawn) Roberts of Pittsboro and Matthew Roberts of Centerville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Isabelle and Colin Roberts of Pittsboro; a sister, Denise (husband, Jim) Compliment of Fortville; four nephews, Tony (wife, Angie) Lewis of Fortville, Jeffrey (wife, Natalie) Lewis of McCordsville, Nathan (wife, Lisa) Oldham of Anderson and Scott (wife, Catrice) Oldham of Pendleton; two nieces, Melissa (husband, Heath) Kelly of Anderson and Jennifer (husband, Mike) Hannah of Markleville; three cousins, Michael Bolton, Pamela Oaldon Magee and Jeffrey Oaldon; her stepfather, Robert (wife, Jean) Nelson Sr. of Greenfield; her father- and mother-in-law, Charles T. and Joanne Oldham of Pendleton; a sister-in-law, Beth (husband, Alan) Greer of Arden, N.C.; and two brothers-in-law, Greg (wife, Dinah) Oldham of Pendleton and Steve (wife, Terri) Oldham of Anderson.

Funeral services were June 9 at Sproles Family Funeral Home in New Castle with Pastor Tobby Smith officiating. Burial followed at Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton. Visitation was June 8 at the funeral home.

Vina P. Roland

Vina P. Roland, 91, of Knightstown, died May 24 at Regency Place Health Care Center in Greenfield.
She was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Morehead, Ky., a daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Johnson) Tipton.
A homemaker, Mrs. Roland was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Dunreith.
Survivors include four daughters, Betty Wells of New Castle, Joyce (husband, Michael) Pearson of Greenfield, Carolyn (husband, Richard) Harding of Knightstown and Mardella (husband, Myron) Trowbridge of Birmingham, Ala.; a son, Richard (wife, Mary) Roland of Greenfield; and 47 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Roland; a daughter, Shirley Roland; three sisters, Ethel Hill, Telitha Kirk and Imogene Jackson; and a brother, Denver Tipton.
Funeral services were May 27 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was May 27 at the funeral home.

Sherry S. Ballinger
August 1, 1941 - May 26, 2010
Sherry S. (Wood) Ballinger, 68, of Greenfield, formerly of Knightstown, died May 26 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.
She was born Aug. 1, 1941, in Beech Grove, a daughter of the late Leland "Pete" and Lucille (Graves) Wood.
Mrs. Ballinger worked as a librarian at Lincoln Park Elementary School until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church, Shirley Order of the Eastern Star #492, Avon Literary Club in Knightstown, American Legion Post 152 Auxiliary and the Lady Elks of Greenfield. She was past-president of the Greenfield Community Choir. Mrs. Ballinger enjoyed singing, traveling and spending time with people. She was a former Miss Indianapolis.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Ballinger of Greenfield; a son, Jason Ballinger of Greenfield; a daughter, Vicki (husband, Branch) Ballinger Howard of West Alexandria, Ohio; a granddaughter, Hayden Ashley Howard; and a brother, Jan (wife, Joady) Wood of Greenfield.
Funeral services and visitation were May 29 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home in Greenfield with Mike Manning officiating. Burial followed at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
