Charles M. Peacock

Charles M. Peacock, 63, of Greenfield, died Nov. 29.
He was born July 29, 1947, in Indianapolis, a son of the late Benjamin and Florence (Hickey) Peacock.
Mr. Peacock retired from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis, where he began working in 1976 as a tool maker. A member and past master of Hancock Lodge #101 F&AM, he was also a member of Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis and Eden Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. Mr. Peacock was known as someone who enjoyed telling stories and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Peacock of Greenfield; two sons, Lee (wife, Grace) Peacock of Longwood, Fla., and Joe (wife, Glenda) Peacock of Knightstown; two brothers, James Peacock of Greenfield and Earl (wife, Phyllis) Peacock of Holden, Mo.; five grandchildren, Melanie, Bayleigh, Nickolas, Zachary and Mason Peacock; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Dec. 4 at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Burial followed at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation was Dec. 3 at the funeral home.

Orsel Thomas Dudley
January 6, 1926 - December 12, 2010
Orsel Thomas Dudley, 84, of Indianapolis, died Dec. 12 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born Jan. 6, 1926, in Grydon, Mich., a son of the late Orsel Thomas and Catherine (Shelton) Dudley.
Mr. Dudley was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the European Theater during World War II. He was award- ed two Purple Hearts. Mr. Dudley retired from Cams, Inc., in Indianapolis in 1991 after 40 years of service. A former president of the Fairgrounds Little League in Indianapolis, he was an avid woodworker who took pride in constructing memorial picture frames for Indiana police officers killed in the line of duty. Mr. Dudley enjoyed watching Indiana University sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs fans. After leaving high school early to join the Army, he returned in 2003 to graduate from Lake Orion High School.
Survivors include a son, Daniel T. (wife, Freda) Dudley of Knightstown; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn M. Dudley of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Thomas Kyle Dudley of Kettering, Ohio, Andrew Ryan Dudley of Frankfort and Kelly Nichole Dudley of Knightstown; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frieda Bailey, Mariella Bailey and Phyllis Waterstradt, all of Michigan; a brother, C.A. "Duke" Dudley of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joyce (Gumfory) Dudley; a son, Indiana State Police Lt. Gary Edward Dudley; and two sisters, Willazine Sanchez and Esther Cloutier.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Pastor Ken Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the funeral home.

Darlene K. Jackson
August 6, 1943 - December 7, 2010
Darlene K. Jackson, 67, of Knightstown, died Dec. 7 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
She was born Aug. 6, 1943, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late John and Lillian Warner.
Mrs. Jackson was employed at the Disney Distribution Center in Indianapolis for 12 years. She previously worked at the Tee Pee located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. Mrs. Jackson liked horses, shop ping and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Claude A. Jackson; two sons, John L. (wife, Jaclyn) Jackson of Fortville and James A. (wife, Christina) Jackson of Noblesville; eight grandchildren, Desirie (husband, Joseph) Ingalls of Greenfield, Amanda (husband, Ryan) Scott of Nashville, Landon (wife, Kaci) Jackson of Lafayette, Tyler Jackson of Indianapolis, Hunter and Caden Jackson of Noblesville and Kursten and Jacob Jackson of Fortville; two great grandchildren, Ariana Scott of Nashville and Abigail Jackson of Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were Dec. 11 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Pastor Paul Galbraith officiating. Visitation was Dec. 10 at the funeral home.

Nancy Arlene Sparks Carter
August 28, 1940 - December 6, 2010
Nancy Arlene Sparks Carter, 70, of Searcy, Ark., died Dec. 6.
She was born Aug. 28, 1940, in Bartholomew County, a daughter of the late Clarence and Dolores Trimnell.
Mrs. Carter attended First United Methodist Church in Searcy and was an active member of the Celiac Sprue Support Group. She enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Carter retired from Selected Funeral and Life Insurance Company in Hot Springs, Ark.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (husband, Rick) Creamer of Shreveport, La., and Annette (husband, Scotty) Parker of Searcy; two brothers, Ronald Trimnell of Knightstown and Norman Hill of Indiana; a sister, Marjorie Brammer of Indiana; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Sparks Graves; eight half brothers; and one half sister.
Funeral services were Dec. 9 at First United Methodist Church in Searcy. Visitation was Dec. 9 at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy.

Terry L. Campfield
March 10, 1952 - December 26, 2010
Terry L. Campfield, 58, of Pendleton, died Dec. 26.
He was born March 10, 1952, in Owensboro, Ky., a son of Glenn and Juliene (Shultz) Campfield.
Mr. Campfield was a 1970 Lapel High School graduate, where he played baseball and basketball and ran cross-country and track. He was employed as a dispatcher at Irving Materials, Inc., for 31 years. A golfer, Mr. Campfield enjoyed spending time with his horse, Impy, and his dog, Dottie. He was a member of Tri County Christian Church in Middletown.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca (Blake) Campfield; his parents, Glenn and Juliene Campfield of Lapel; a sister, Diana (husband, Bill) Dailey; two aunts; a sister and brother-in-law; and several other family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother.
Funeral services are Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m. at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor Jim Harless officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Visitation was Dec. 29 at the funeral home.

Randall W. Jordan
September 14, 1954 - December 15, 2010
Randall W. Jordan, 56, of Greensboro, died Dec. 15. at Henry County Hospital.
He was born Sept. 14, 1954 in Rushville, the son of Birch Walker and Barbara Rose (Roland) Jordan.
Mr. Jordan graduated from Knightstown High School in 1973 where he played baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed playing golf later in life.
Survivors include his mother Barbara (husband, Jim) Walls of Knightstown; a son, Kyle Jordan of Greensboro; half daughter, Alyssa Cottrill of Greensboro; granddaughter, Rylie Jordan of Greensboro; and siblings Teresa (husband, Russ) Hooker of Greenfield; Traci Boris of Indianapolis; Richard (wife, Gayla) Harris of Knightstown; David (wife, Kim) Walls of Greensboro.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services were Dec. 28 at Knightstown Christian Church with Russ Hooker officiating.
Martha Louise Ashby Sneed
July 10, 1932 - December 19, 2010
Martha Louise Ashby Sneed, 78, of Greensboro, died Dec. 19 at St. Vincent Hospice Care in Indianapolis.
She was born in rural Henry County on July 10, 1932, a daughter of the late Ben and Audrey (Jacobs) Ashby.
Mrs. Sneed’s family farmed near the Madison County/Hancock County line, and she graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1949. She worked at Delco Remy where she met her husband, Junior (Forrest) Sneed. They raised their family in Greensboro and celebrated 56 years of marriage together last January. Mrs. Sneed retired in 1997 after 28 years of service at Miller-Wearly Monuments in New Castle. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church, New Castle, and an avid cook.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Tena (husband, Rick) Cottman of New Castle, Necia (husband, Dwight) Ramsey of Anderson, and Barry (wife, Bonnie) Sneed of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Searcy, Jonathan Ramsey, Chris and Sara (Ramsey) Coleman, Nathan Sneed, Michael Sneed and Joshua Sneed; a sister, Mary Lowe, of Blacksburg, S.C.; a brother Gene Ashby, of Wilkinson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Ashby.
Funeral services were Dec. 21 at Grace Baptist with Pastor Denny Neal officiating. Burial followed in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation was Dec. 20 at the funeral home and at the church prior to funeral services.
