He was born March 13, 2008, a son of Rick Milborum and Heather Schuyler.
Survivors include his mother, Heather Schuyler of Knightstown; his father, Rick Milborum of New Castle; a sister, J’La Schuyler of Knightstown; grandparents, Peggy Barnhouse of Knightstown and Brian and Sheila Schuyler of Ossian; an aunt, Kenzie Richmond of Knightstown; and an uncle, Patrick Schuyler of Westville.
Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Rev. Doug Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation is 1 p.m. until time of services on April 16.
James R. Mosley
Jan. 19, 1921 – April 14, 2008
James R. Mosley, 87, died April 14 at his home.
He was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Liberty, Ky., a son of the late Dewy and Martha (Holt) Mosley.
Mr. Mosley married Patricia Helms on July 19, 1961. He was a master carpenter and worked in construction his whole life. He served in the U.S. Army from 1939-1945 and served in Luzon and New Guinea during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; four sons, James (wife, Irene) Mosley, Jr. of Florence, Ky., John (wife, Mary Ann) Mosley of Bullhead, Ariz., Michael (wife, Nycol) Mosley of Melbourne, Fla., and Jeffrey (wife, Julie) of Avon; two daughters, Lynn (husband, Mike) Fischer of Naples, Fla., and Lenora (husband, Tom) Conley of Carthage; a stepson, Terry (wife, Linda) Helms of Buchanan, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Tammy (husband, Charles) Saunders of Rushville; a brother, Carol (wife, Marian) Mosley of Summerfield, Fla.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas; and a brother, Earl.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Thomas Holt officiating. Burial with full military graveside rites will follow at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington. Visitation is 11 a.m. until time of services on April 17.
Harvey L. "Jim" Williams
Dec. 14, 1922 – April 14, 2008
Harvey L. “Jim” Williams, 85, of Carthage, died April 14 at his home.
He was born Dec. 14, 1922, in New Castle, a son of the late Harvey D. and Leta (Kinsell) Williams.
Mr. Williams was a 1942 Knightstown High School graduate, and he served as president of his class. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Williams served during World War II in the 76th Field Artillery. He fought at the Battle of the Bulge. He retired in 1980 from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service. He served as superintendent of operations at the Knightstown Post Office for several years. Mr. Williams also worked at railway post office in Indianapolis and at the Indianapolis International Airport post office. He was a member of Knightstown American Legion Post 152 and a 60-year member of Knightstown United Methodist Church. Mr. Williams was known for his love of the outdoors and his family. He was also an avid bird watcher.
Survivors include his wife, Luana A. Williams of Carthage; a son, Ronald (wife, Anita) Williams of Knightstown; a daughter, Alora (husband, Mark) Westra of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Jason (wife, Angie) Perry of Indianapolis, Ryan Porter of Fishers, Jarrod (wife, Alison) Perry of Greenfield and Rayann (husband, Steven) Forbes of Indianapolis; six great-grandchildren, Alijah, Regan, Savannah, Max, Christian and Jayden; a niece, Beverly (husband, Darrel) Cooney of New Castle; and a sister-in-law, Betty Williams of Knightstown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie A. and Richard Williams.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at Knightstown United Methodist Church with Rev. Janice Heseman officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice Foundation.
Howard S. Davis
Oct. 8, 1946 – April 25, 2008
Howard S. Davis, 61, of Shelbyville, died April 25 at his home.
He was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Shirley, a son of the late William Howard and Genevee Jane (Maxwell) Davis.
Mr. Davis was a Wilkinson High School graduate and a member of Lewisville Baptist Church. He retired from his job as a steel worker at Olin-Brass in Indianapolis after several years of service. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
Survivors include his mother, Genevee Jane Davis of Raysville; three daughters, Sherri Hyatt and Laura (husband, John) Plummer of Shelbyville, and Lisa (husband, Travis) Mullins of St. Paul; two sons, Howard “Joe” (wife, Jamie) Davis Jr. of Shelbyville and Tracy (wife, Angie) Gray of Mechanicsburg; three stepdaughters, Lisa (husband, Gary) Atwood and Suzette (husband, Tom) Harke, both of Franklin and Michelle (husband, Tim) Coy of Trafalgar; eight sisters, Shelby (husband, Ray) Clowers of South Carolina, Rebecca “Becky” (husband, John) Williams of Greenfield, Wilma Davis, Nancy (husband, Roger) Hamilton, Judy (husband, Kenny) Mast and Lora (husband, Larry) Lewman, all of Knightstown, Cindy (husband, Larry) Benefiel of Cleveland and Jennifer (husband, Rick) Thompson of New Castle; three brothers, Clarence “Eddie” (wife, Patricia) Davis of Shirley, William “Bill” (wife, Bonnie) Davis of Carthage and James “Jimmy” (wife, Lisa) Davis of Raysville; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were April 30 at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. Visitation was April 30 at the funeral home.
James Scott Lackey
ca.1979 - May 3, 2008
James Scott Lackey, 29, of Indianapolis, formerly of Knightstown, died May 3.
Mr. Lackey attended Knightstown High School. He and his family lived in Knightstown until 2000, when they moved to Plainfield.
Survivors include his father, James Lackey of Plainfield; a brother, Shawn Lackey of Indianapolis; a sister, Amber Lackey of Indianapolis; and a son, Dakota of Shirley.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8, at Legacy Funeral Home on East Washington Street in Indianapolis. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7.
Ines Rinard
June 11, 1936 – May 3, 2008
She was born June 11, 1936, in Quasqueton, Iowa, a daughter of the late George and Iris (Kress) Scott.
Mrs. Rinard lived in Knightstown since 1994 and attended Knightstown Christian Church. She worked at Western Electric in the maintenance department, and she later retired from there. She enjoyed spending time with her family and target shooting.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Rinard of Knightstown and Damon Rinard of Centerville, Ga.; a daughter, Karen (husband, Jerry) Zeilinga of Knightstown; two brothers, Elden (wife, Evelyn) Scott of Anamosia, Iowa, and Thomas (wife, Sheryl) Scott of Center Point, Iowa; a sister, Zelda (husband, Harold) Powers of Quasueton, Iowa; and three granddaughters, Sarah Hartsock, Sunshine Zeilinga and Katie Zeilinga.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William.
Funeral services were May 6 at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown with Rev. Richard Thayer officiating. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation was May 5 at the funeral home.
Nellie Eileen Sheets
Aug. 23, 1918 – May 5, 2008
Nellie Eileen (Fisher) Sheets, 89, of Shirley, died May 5 at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson.
She was born Aug. 23, 1918, in Henry County, a daughter of the late Albert and Marie (Leffel) Fisher.
Mrs. Sheets retired from Indiana Rayon in Greenfield. She was a member of Shirley Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Dockery of Indianapolis, Jacqueline Ashby of Middletown and Mary Lou Johnson of Fairland; a son, William “Bill” Sheets of Arizona; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, David and James Fisher, both of Ohio; and two sisters, Ruth Brewton of Elkhart and Patricia Knisely of Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Buck” Sheets; and a sister, Ruby Haynes.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Robert Dohman officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at the funeral home.
