Rhonda Lynne (Beeson) Schaeffer, 43, of Greenfield, died January 31 in Greenfield.
She was born June 9, 1963, in Greenfield, a daughter of Kenneth Beeson and Ramona (Chapman) Williams of Greenfield.
Mrs. Schaeffer was a 1981 Greenfield Central High School graduate. She later became an instructional assistant at Maxwell Middle School. An avid Avon representative and homemaker, Mrs. Schaeffer attended Curry’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was a Girl Scout leader in Maxwell. She was very active at J.B. Stephens, Eden and Maxwell schools.
Survivors include her mother, Ramona Williams of Greenfield; her husband, John Robert Schaeffer, Sr., of Greenfield; a son, John Robert Schaeffer, Jr., of Greenfield; a stepson, Justin Crossman of Greenfield; a sister, Elizabeth Gulley of Greenfield; two brothers-in-law, Gary Allen of Shelbyville and Tom (wife, Tina) Schaeffer of Knightstown; two sisters-in-law, Sue (husband, Paul) Loveall of Carthage and Barb (husband, Jeff) Gustin of Knightstown; her stepfather, William Williams of Greenfield; aunts and uncles, Susi (husband, Wayne) Melton of Greenfield, Ray and Donna Chapman of Bowling Green, Ky., Bill (wife, Ruby) Morris of Fortville, Marion (wife, Michelle) Chapman of Tell City; and cousins, Jesse, Angie, Jason and Andi Melton, all of Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Beeson; and a daughter, Tiffany Schaeffer.
Funeral services were February 5 at Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield with Rev. Carol Wiley officiating. Burial followed at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation was February 4 at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home in Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rhonda and Tiffany Schaeffer Fund for the Education of John Schaeffer, Jr. Scholarship, c/o National City Bank.
Tiffany L. Schaeffer

Tiffany L. Schaeffer, 13, of Greenfield, died January 31 in Greenfield.
She was born Jan. 11, 1994, in Greenfield, a daughter of John Robert Schaeffer, Sr., and the late Rhonda Lynne Schaeffer.
Miss Schaeffer was a student at Maxwell Middle School and she attended both Curry’s Chapel and Brandywine Community Church. She was involved in the Indiana Children’s Choir, Circle of State Honor Choir, 4-H in Greenfield, student council and Girl Scouts. She was an A-B honor roll student.
Survivors include her father, John Robert Schaeffer, Sr. of Greenfield; a brother, John Robert Schaeffer, Jr. of Greenfield; a half-brother, Justin Crossman of Greenfield; grandmothers, Ramona Williams of Greenfield and Mary Schaeffer of Knightstown; two cousins, Kenneth and Kyle Gulley, both of Greenfield; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral services were February 5 at Brandywine Community Church with Rev. Carol Wiley officiating. Burial followed at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation was February 4 at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home. Marilyn Jane Staton

Marilyn Jane (Branigan) Staton, 82, of Middletown, died January 31 at St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel.
She was born Dec. 22, 1924 in Vermillion, Ks., a daughter of the late Frank A. and Bertha (Markley) Branigan.
Mrs. Staton came to Indiana from Kansas in 1936 and she was a 1943 Markleville High School graduate. She married Merle D. Staton on June 1, 1947, in Cadiz. She was well-suited to be a farmer’s wife as she was known as an excellent cook and homemaker. Mrs. Staton was also known as a determined, sweet-natured and beautiful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a 70-year member of Wilkinson Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley (husband, Mike) Conaway of Fayetteville, Ga., Connie (husband, Robert) Smith of Anderson and Rosalie (husband, Bill) Skaer of Wichita, Ks.; six grandchildren, Chris (wife, Michelle) Fadely of Middletown, Shawn Conaway of Austell, Ga., Grant Smith of Indianapolis, Greg Smith of West Lafayette and Kelsey and Courtney Skaer, both of Wichita, Ks.; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred (wife, Francis) Branigan of Anderson; two sisters, Clarice (husband, Marleston) Doan and Elsie (husband, Harold) Laird, all of Anderson; a sister-in-law, Geneva Kinnett of Sulphur Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merle D. Staton; two brothers, Robert and Frank Branigan; and a sister, Dorothy Branigan.
Funeral services were February 5 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial followed in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was February 4 at the funeral home. Sarah V. O’Neil
Aug. 28, 1945 – Jan. 30, 2007
Sarah V. O’Neil, 61, of Knightstown, died January 30 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
She was born Aug. 28, 1945, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late J. Chester Long and Grace Foley Baldwin.
Ms. O’Neil was known as a loving grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a member at both the Knightstown and New Castle Kingdom Halls. She enjoyed farm life and riding and working with horses. She also enjoyed music, singing and playing the piano. In high school, she was an award winning swimmer and diver. Ms. O’Neil spent many years in administration at The Paddock and American Designers. An avid gardener and homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and canning. She was also an accomplished seamstress who regularly attended the Indiana State Fair.
Survivors include a daughter, Deadra (husband, Michael) White of Carmel; three stepchildren, Rick O’Neil of Knightstown, Patt (wife, Annette) O’Neil of Broad Ripple and Kathleen (husband, Ed) Stevens of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, J. Chester (wife, Susan) Long II of Alexandria; and a sister, Roxanna (husband, Victor) Santoro of Broad Ripple.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Connie; and a sister, Peggy.
Funeral services were February 3 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, with Clyde Buckley officiating. Visitation was February 3 at the funeral home.
Loucille B. Eckel

Loucille B. Eckel, 72, of New Palestine, died Sunday, February 11, at her home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1935, in Tennessee, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Wright) Eckel.
Mrs. Eckel worked for Stationers Office Supply for 20 years and she also worked at Paper Mart. She was a lifelong mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, genealogy and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandy (husband, Carlie) Alexander of Shirley; four grandchildren, Chastity Mills of New Palestine, Paula Coomer of Wilkinson, Carlie M. Alexander of Indianapolis and Michael Hampton of Shirley; six great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jared Mills, Austin and Bailey Van Hook, Kaytlyn Hampton and Caroline Coomer; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Goff; two brothers, Cass and Joe Eckel; and a sister, Jewel Nunley.
Funeral services are Thursday, February 15, at 10 a.m. at By His Grace Ministries in Charlottesville with Rev. Ronald Mils officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson.
Debora J. Hall

Debora J. Hall, 45, of Markleville, formerly of Knightstown, died February 8 at her home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1961, in Greenfield.
Mrs. Hall was a 1979 Knightstown High School graduate. She was employed by Indy Lighting until 1997 and she’s been a homemaker since leaving that business. A two-time Sharon Bassett Foundation award winner, Mrs. Hall was known as an inspiration to those around her and she also was an avid supporter of other breast cancer victims. She was a member of Huntsville/Good Shepherd Community Church.
Survivors include a son, Brandon (wife, Susan) Davis of Knightstown; a daughter, Elizabeth Davis of Markleville; her parents, Jerry (wife, Linda) Hall of Wilkinson and Judy Lucas of Westfield; a grandmother, Florence Hall of Wilkinson; three brothers, Randy (wife, Tasha) Hall of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Brent (wife, Cassie) Hall of Eustis, Fla., and Darrell (wife, Wendy) Hall of Middletown; two sisters, Kelli (husband, Shane) Isaacs of Pendleton and Shawna (husband, Brian) Smith of Middletown; two stepbrothers, Danny (wife, Toddy) Cupp of Knightstown and Bradley Johnson of Noblesville; three stepsisters, Tammy (husband, Rob) Mahon of Cambridge City, Pam (husband, Robert) Copp of Noblesville and Traci (husband, Bill) Hannah of Skiatook, Okla.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 15, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, in Pendleton with Rev. Claude Creel officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
Mary Lou Turner
Feb. 17, 1922 – Feb. 9, 2007
Mary Lou (Conway) Turner, 84, of Spiceland, died February 9 at her home.
She was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Henry County, a daughter of the late Elva and Clifty Conway.
Mrs. Turner was a 1940 New Castle High School graduate. On June 29, 1940, she married the late Arthur Turner and she later became a mother and homemaker. She was a member of New Castle First Christian Church and she attended Greensboro Church of the Nazarene after moving to a farm near Spiceland.
Survivors include four sons, Stephen (wife, Dana) Turner, Jack (wife, Sheila) Turner, Thomas (wife, Roseanne) Turner and Phillip Turner; grandchildren, Dawn (husband, Andrew) Crawford, Daniel (wife, Heather) Turner, Todd (wife, Melissa) Turner, Tiffany (husband, Kent) Brumbaugh, Dwight (wife, Rose) Turner, Cliff (wife, Caroline) Turner-Corbell; great-grandchildren, Megan Crawford, Michael Crawford, Katy Howard, Trevor Turner, Peyton Turner, Alec Turner, Hailey Turner, Ansley Turner, Hope Brumbaugh, Cherish Turner, Chelsae Turner and Emma (Turner) Corbell; several stepgrandchildren; step great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Turner; three infant sons; three sisters, Mildred Hulsart, Vera Irvin and Shirley Hendershot; and two brothers, Don and Wilbur Conway.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, at Main & Davis Funeral Home, Broad Street Chapel, in New Castle with Rev. Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, February 15, from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
