Rosemary Haynes

Rosemary Haynes, 85, a resident of Pendleton, died Friday, March 4 at Regency Place Healthcare Center in Greenfield. She was born December 16, 1918 in Shirley, a daughter of the late Frank and Rosie Jane (Simmons) Keck.
Mrs. Haynes retired from the Housekeeping Dept. of Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield and had also worked at National Tile in Anderson and the Shirley Canning Factory. She attended the Maple Grove Community Church. Rosemary loved quilting, crocheting and leather crafts.
Survivors include one son, Laurel Eugene Gene (wife Gerri) Haynes of Pendleton; one grandson, Dennis (wife Pat) Haynes of Markleville; one granddaughter, Teresa (husband Brent) Sitton of Pendleton; two great-grandsons, Trent Haynes of Shirley and Jason Haynes of Markleville; one great-granddaughter, Andrea Sitton of Pendleton; one great-great-granddaughter, Emma Haynes of Shirley; one sister, Bessie Helsley of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurel Haynes in 1970; a sister, Mable Wales; and two brothers, Arthur and Noble Keck.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 9 in the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. David Perry officiating. Burial was in McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson.
Visitation was held at the funeral home Monday, March 8.

Vivian V. Wilson

Former Rush County resident, Vivian V. Wilson, 91, of Indianapolis, died Saturday, March 6 at Cambridge Manor in Indianapolis. She was born September 25, 1912 in Rush County, a daughter of the late Elmer E. and Flora Mae (Graham) Hunt.
Mrs. Wilson had lived in Fortville, 1992-2001, before moving to Indianapolis. Most of her life, however, she had lived in Rush County near Mays. A homemaker, she retired in 1981 as the Center Christian Church organist of 41 years and as the church secretary of 39 years. She was a member of the Center Christian Church and the Mays Study Club. Vivian graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1930. Vivian married Paul Wilson October 15, 1930 and he preceded her in death October 2, 1979.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca (husband Fred) Lee of Indianapolis, and Karen (husband Louis) Dice of Kokomo; one brother, Robert Hunt of Greenfield; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren and six step-great-great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 11 at Center Christian Church with Ron Sams officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery in Rush County.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 10) at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville.
The family request memorial contributions be made to the Center Christian Church and the American Heart Association.
Harold W. Williams

Harold W. Williams, 84, of Shirley, died Sunday, March 7 at The Heritage House of New Castle, following an extended illness. He was born December 4, 1919 in Westwood, a son of the late Luther L. and Zola B. (Beeson) Williams.
A self-employed plastering contractor, he had worked in the central Indiana area for many years. Mr. Williams was a member of the Shirley Gospel Mission.
Survivors include his wife: Lorraine (Moss) Williams, whom he married August 1, 1942; seven children, Bruce (wife Betty) Williams of Grafton, W.V., Sherry (husband Jimmy) Bender of Shelbyville, Tenn., Rich (wife Nancy) Williams of Indianapolis, Greg (wife Glenda) Williams of Dover, Tenn., Dawn (husband Larry) Bennett of New Castle, Brooke Duvall of Fishers, and Lance (wife Julie) Williams of Houston, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janet (husband Jim) Crider of Shirley and Sara Lou (husband Bob) Stout of Margate, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, one son, Douglas Williams, and two brothers, Charles and Gerald Williams preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 10) at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel on S.R. 109 with Reverends Charles Riggs and Dale Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
Visitation was held at the Knightstown Chapel Tuesday, March 9.
Mary E. Jackson

Former Shirley resident, Mary E. (Brooks) Jackson, 95, of Clear Water, Fla., died Monday, March 8 in Laurel Park Nursing Home in Stockbridge, Ga. She was born March 8, 1909 in Shirley, a daughter of the late Herbert and Ola (Koontz) Brooks.
Mrs. Jackson was a former employee of Delco Remy of Anderson.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Jackson of Stockbridge, Ga.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Florence Reger; two nieces and one nephew.
Her husband, Morris H. Jackson, preceded her in death in 2001.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 12 at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with Rev. Jim Jackson officiating.
Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson is in charge of arrangements.
Donations may be made to the Shirley Friends Church.
Kenneth Wayne Blue

Noblesville resident, Kenneth Wayne Blue, 61, died Sunday, March 7 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. He was born October 10, 1942, a son of the late Cleon and June Blue.
Mr. Blue was a professional truck driver for 40 years, retiring in 2003. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Morristown American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Karen S. Blue of Noblesville; one stepdaughter, Lisa S. Rees of Noblesville; two stepsons, Kenneth R. Wright of Noblesville and Stephen R. Wright of Madison, Wisc.; and three step-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 11 at Riverside Cemetery in Noblesville with Rev. Craig Dahler officiating. There will be no visitation.
Clarence Edmondson
Nov. 29, 1935 - Mar. 8, 2004
Clarence Te Edmondson, 68, of Wabash and formerly of New Castle, died Monday, March 8 at the Moffett Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla. He was born Nov. 29, 1935.
Edmondson was a retired supervisor of Public Service Indiana and was an avid fisherman.
Local survivors include a daughter, Linda (husband Jay) Stearns and grandson, Tayler Stearns, all of Knightstown.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 14 at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Home on Highway 15, north of Wabash.
Calling will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, March 13 at the funeral home.
Dorothy L. Deck

A longtime resident of Knightstown, Dorothy L. Deck, 77, died Sunday, March 14 in Henry Co. Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born December 23, 1926 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Claud and Lena Estel (Paul) Shadoin.
Dorothy had lived in Knightstown most of her life. She was a member of Knightstown United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, B.P.W., Priscilla Club, Henry County Homemakers Club, Altrusa Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She graduated from Kennard High School with the class of 1947. She married Carl Deck on August 6, 1947 and he preceded her in death October 7, 1995.
Survivors include special friend, James Perry of Knightstown; special friends, Mike and Nancy Peyton of Knightstown; two brothers, Robert (wife Agnas) Shadoin of Springfield, Mo., and William (wife Jo) Shadoin of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, a son and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 17) at the Knightstown United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Brackney officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown.
Visitation was held at the Todd Funeral Home, Butcher Chapel, Tuesday, March 16.
