Donald A. Hutson

Donald A. Hutson, 40, of Indianapolis, died Thursday, November 15 at Community North Hospital. He was born August 22, 1961 in Memphis, Tenn., a son of Gilbert and Patricia (Stoots) Hutson of Knightstown.
He was a 1980 Knightstown High School graduate and worked as a computer specialist at Ft. Harrison Finance Center in Indianapolis since 1989. He was married to Shirley (Altizer) Hutson on December 10, 1999.
Survivors include his wife Shirley; his parents, Gib and Patty; two brothers, Chuck Hutson of Knightstown and Richard Hutson of Greenfield; one stepson, Eddie Worrell of Ft. Wayne; two stepdaughters, Debbie and Sheila Worrell, both of Indianapolis; and his grandmother, Rhea Hutson of Greenfield.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service was held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 18 at Pasco Memorial mortuary in Greenfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Taylor Hood
Oct. 30, 2001 – Nov. 13, 2001
Taylor Hood, 2-week-old son of Michelle Hood and Kevin Rhodes of Knightstown, died Tuesday, November 13 at Riley Hospital. He was born October 30 in Indianapolis.
Survivors besides his mother and father are one brother, David Jackson of Knightstown; one sister, Hannah Rhodes of Knightstown; maternal grandmother, Thelma Lipp, Knightstown; paternal grandmother, Janet Rhodes of Knightstown; maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Cross of Knightstown; and paternal great-grandfather, Earcle Rhodes of Knightstown.
Services were held Friday, November 16 at the Todd Funeral Home, Butcher Chapel with the Rev. Randy Sidwell officiating. Burial was in Glen Cove Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Richard Eugene Miller
Dec. 8, 1927 – Nov. 18, 2001
Richard Eugene Miller, 73, of Knightstown, died Sunday, November 18 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. He was born December 8, 1927 in Rush County, a son of the late Claude and Dortha (Hopkins) Miller.
Mr. Miller was a graduate of Carthage High School and was a veteran of the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he was employed as the service manager for Goodwin Dodge. He was a member of the Knightstown Methodist Church and the Knightstown American Legion.
Surviving are two sons, Mark Miller of Chicago, Ill. and David Miller of Carthage; four daughters, Judy Roberts of Indianapolis, Lori Bright, Muncie, Traci Atkins of Mays, and Becky White of Rushville; one sister, Marcella Freeman, Greenfield; 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several and nephews.
Services for Mr. Miller will be held today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at the Todd Funeral Home, Butcher Chapel with Rev. Shirley Lukens officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Knightstown American Legion.
Visitation was held Tuesday, November 20 at the funeral home.
William Jordan
April 6, 1943 – Nov. 17, 2001
William “Uncle Bill” Jordan, 58, a resident of Shirley, died Saturday, November 17 in Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield. He was born April 6, 1943, a son of the late Glen and Letha (Hedrick) Jordan.
Mr. Jordan was a member of the New Castle Fraternal Order of Eagles #933 and the Knightstown American Legion #152.
Survivors include four brothers, Glen Jordan of Wilkinson, Robert Jordan of Shirley, James Jordan of Knightstown and Charles Jordan of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Sue Ray of Carthage; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy Porter and Patricia Ray; and two brothers, Arthur Jordan and Max Jordan.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, November 20 at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with Pastor Dillard Cole officiating. There will be no calling hours. Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson handled arrangements.

Richard A. Demaree
Dec. 15, 1933 – Nov. 16, 2001
Richard A. Demaree, 67, a resident of Shirley, died at his residence on Friday, November 16 following an extended illness.
He was born December 15, 1933 in Indianapolis, the son of the late James and Evelyn (Dilahay) Demaree. Mr. Demaree was a lifelong roofer and an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marilyn Demaree; one son, Bo Demaree of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Joyce Tiger of Portland, Tenn.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Saturday, November 24 at 102 White Oaks Drive in Greenfield. Condo & Son Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Ralph T. Wilt Sr.
March 16, 1931 – Nov. 18, 2001
Ralph T. Wilt Sr., 70, a resident of Apalachicola, Fla. and formerly of Shirley, died Sunday, November 18 after an extended illness. He was born March 16, 1931 in Shirley, a son of the late Albert and Wanetta (McCubbins) Wilt.
Mr. Wilt was a retired machinist form Delco Remy of Anderson. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Apalachicola, the Masonic Lodge in Apalachicola, and the National Inventors Association.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Virginia (Marshall) Wilt of Apalachicola; four daughters, Margaret (husband Burl) Philyaw of Canton, N.C., Thelma (husband Mark) Lamaster of Noblesville, Alice Coomer of Shirley, Mary Jane (husband Kevin) Green of Munster; two sons, Ralph (wife Lori) Wilt, Jr. of Charlottesville, and Albert (wife Mary) Wilt of New Castle; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Wilt of Clearwater, Fla. and Albert Wilt of Seattle, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Omar Deen officiating. Burial will be in McCray Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, November 20 at the funeral home.

Thomas William McKee
June 15, 1941 – Nov. 15, 2001
Thomas William McKee Sr., 60, of Connersville, died Thursday, November 15 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born June 15, 1941 in Bentonville, a son of the late William G. “Bill” and Hazel Alford McKee.
Tom lived in the Connersville area all his life and attended Bentonville School. He was employed at Golay Chore Boy of Cambridge City and was a member of the Dublin Community Club.
He is survived by three sons, Thomas W. McKee Jr., Tony Taylor and Jeff Taylor, all of Connersville; one daughter, Becky Pickett of Dublin; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Edward J. McKee and Wayne McKee, both of Bentonville; one sister, Delita G. (husband Jim) Craig of Knightstown; and aunts and uncles.
Services were held Tuesday, November 20 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin with Rev. Ira Sult officiating. Burial was in Bentonville Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday, November 19 and prior to the services at the funeral home.
