Carl Warren Robbins
April 22, 1945 - December 8, 2009
Carl Warren Robbins, 64, of Carthage, died Dec. 8 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.
He was born April 22, 1945, a son of the late William H. and Ruby (Carson) Robbins.
Mr. Robbins was a 1963 Carthage High School graduate. He worked at Amoco Fertilizer Corp. in Charlottesville and in Janesville, Wis. He also worked at PTI in Middletown, Ohio. Most recently, he worked at in the shipping and receiving department at Paul Akers, Inc. Mr. Robbins enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and farming. He was a member of the Christian church in Janesville, Wis., and he served as a staff sergeant in the Army National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of Carthage; a son, Wade (wife, Kathy) Robbins of Charlottesville; a daughter, Wendy (husband, Randy) Muegge of Greenfield; a brother, Fred Robbins of Bean Blossom; several nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren, Vyctoria Lynn and Demi Maxine Muegge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Robbins; and a granddaughter, Zoe Mae Muegge.
Funeral services were Dec. 12 at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield with Pastor Roger Campbell officiating.
Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation was Dec. 11 at the funeral home.

Barbara Jo Knarr
May 10, 1938 - December 10, 2009
Barbara Jo Knarr, 71, died Dec. 10 at Rawlins House in Pendleton.
She was born May 10, 1938, in Hancock County, a daughter of the late Omer and Gladys (Boram) Davis.
Mrs. Knarr was a receptionist at General Devices in Indianapolis for several years. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of Charlottesville Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen (husband, Mike) Markle of Markleville; a son, Todd Knarr of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Molly Markle; a brother, Ronnie (wife, Sherry) Davis of Charlottesville; and a niece, Jolee (husband, Mark) Smith of Charlottesville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Knarr.
Funeral services were Dec. 15 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Gerald Burnett officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was Dec. 14 at the funeral home.
Janet R. Heim
July 16, 1933 - December 11, 2009
Janet R. Heim, 76, of Knightstown, died Dec. 11 in New Castle.
She was born July 16, 1933, in Rush County, a daughter of the late Harry and Viola (Eckels) Smith.
Mrs. Heim worked at CVS in Knightstown and Paul Harris in New Castle. She was known as a loving mother and wife. She was a member of Knightstown Eastern Star. Mrs. Heim enjoyed raising violets and was a member of the African Violet Society.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen M. Bell of New Castle, Brenda (husband, Victor) Bennett of Middleburg, Fla., and Cynthia (husband, Christopher) Bailey of Fishers; a son, Mark Heim of New Castle; seven grandchildren, Heather, Melissa, Marcia, Sable and Chandler Heim and Ashly and Stephanie Spurlock; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Warfield of Indianapolis and Carol Cox of Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Heim; and her son, Steve.
Funeral services were Dec. 16 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Gary Sickle officiating.
Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was Dec. 15 at the funeral home.
Ronald R. Rector
November 17, 1930 - December 11, 2009
Donald R. Rector, 79, of Shirley, died Dec. 11 at his home.
He was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Henry County, a son of the late Robert and Thelma (Hendricks) Rector.
Mr. Rector retired from Borg Warner in Muncie where he worked as a tool grinder. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Rector enjoyed wood working and was an avid sportsman and gardener.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Rector of Shirley; four daughters, Rhonda (husband, Ed) Fowler of Upland, Linda (husband, Curt) Chastain of Muncie, Brenda Herriman of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Patricia D’Arienzo of San Diego, Cal.; two sons, David Rector of Upland and Michael (wife, Judy) Cox of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren, Zachary, Gabriel, Sam, Todd, Jessica, Tyson, Marcy, Ryan, Casey and Nicole; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a son-in-law, Jim Herriman.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson.
Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by Knightstown American Legion Post 152. Visitation was Dec. 15 at the funeral home.
Cleo C. Davisson
November 7, 1910 - December 12, 2009
Cleo C. Davisson, 99, of Lima, Ohio, formerly of Shirley and Land of Lake, Fla., died Dec. 12 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
He was born Nov. 7, 1910, in Hancock County, a son of the late Aloza "Lon" and Ethel (Harris) Davisson.
Mr. Davisson retired from the Delco Remy division of General Motors. He had been a farmer in Indiana, and he raised oranges in Florida. He was a member of Discovery Christian Church in Tampa, Fla., and he attended Rousculp Church of Christ in Lima. He was a former member of Shirley Christian Church in Shirley.
Survivors include a son, Donald (wife, Carolyn) Davisson of Elsmere, Ky.; three daughters, Janet LaVallee of Lima, Lorna (husband, Rex) Ashby of North Vernon and Arlene (husband, Terry) Delong of Griffith; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Cloie Wisehart and Carol Lewman.
Funeral services are Thursday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Gary Sickle officiating. Burial will follow at Harlan Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation is Dec. 17 from 12 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Rose Lea Robinette
March 18, 1948 - December 22, 2009
Rose Lea (Conley) Robinette, 61, of Knightstown, died Dec. 22 at Regency Place in Greenfield.
She was born March 18, 1948, in Carthage, a daughter of the late Donald and Laura (McClease) Conley.
Mrs. Robinette worked at RCA in Indianapolis for 27 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Red Hat Society at Regency Place.
Survivors include four children, Jane (husband, Kevin) Miller of Fountaintown, Lisa (husband, Jim) Davis of Knightstown, Andrew Keck of Greenwood and Ryan (wife, Elly) Keck of Carthage; two brothers, Bob (wife, Joyce) Conley of Shirley and Chuck (wife, Nora) Conley of Riverside, Cal.; three sisters, Learl Cook of Carthage, Aleta Andis of Indianapolis and Martha (husband, Kenny) Gordon of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Benjamin, William and Lawrence "Larry" Conley.
Funeral services were Jan. 2 at the Church of God Fellowship Hall in Knightstown.

Shannon H. Baer
September 19, 1949 - December 29, 2009
Shannon H. Baer, 60, of Anderson, died Dec. 29 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 19, 1949, in Shelbyville, a son of the late Harold Baer and Eileen M. (Rummell) Baer. Mr. Baer retired from Guide Lamp in Anderson and was a member of the Indiana Trotters and Pacers Horse Association. He was an avid fisherman and horseman.
Survivors include his mother, Eileen M. (Rummell) Baer; a daughter, Brandy Schaefer of Anderson; three grandchildren, Kassandra, Alivia and Ayden; three sisters, Connie (husband, Mike) Calvert of Markleville, Evalina (husband, Theodore) Titley of Anderson and Christina (Frank) Scott of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Max Baer.
Funeral services are at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation is 5 p.m. until time of services on Jan. 5.
