Maryann Strader

Maryann Strader, 84, of Shirley, died April 6 at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson. She was born Oct. 7, 1924, in Shirley, a daughter of the late Floyd and Allie (VanDuyn) Kitterman.
Mrs. Strader was a lifelong farmer’s wife who attended Shirley-Wilkinson United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Alpha Club. Mrs. Strader enjoyed quilting and collecting Horseman dolls.
Survivors include her husband, Garold Strader of Shirley; a daughter, Peggy (husband, Jim) Berrier of St. Augustine, Fla.; a son, John (wife, Mary) Strader of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Aaron Berrier of Jacksonville, Scott Berrier of Fort Bragg, N.C., and John Strader Jr., of Fort Campbell, Ky.; and four great-grandchildren, Alec Berrier, Bryce Berrier, Ladaya Berrier and Evelyn Ann Berrier.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor Jeffery Mair officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the funeral home.

Myron H. “Mick” Bell
June 19, 1940 – Apr. 9, 2009
Myron H. “Mick” Bell, 68, of Indianapolis, formerly of Highland, Mich., died April 9.
He was born June 19, 1940, in Muskegon, Mich., a son of the late Harold and Louise (Mangold) Bell.
Mr. Bell was raised in Charlottesville and Knightstown by Lyle and Doris Bell. He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in economics, and later from Purdue University with a degree in computer science. Mr. Bell was employed as a computer engineer with Delphi Electronics.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah J. (Bonte) Bell; a daughter, Lisa (husband, Bill) Bell Jamison; two sons, Vance (wife, Connie) Bell and M. Anthony “Tony” Bell; seven grandchildren, Katelyn and Andrew Jamison, Mallory, Noah and Christian Stephens and Chance and Trystan Pettigrew; and his siblings, Linda Nothnagel and Jimmy and Doris Ann Garrett.
Funeral services are Saturday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at All Souls Unitarian Church in Indianapolis.

Greta Addison
Jan. 12, 1915 – Apr. 14, 2009
Greta Addison, 94, of Carthage, died April 14.
She was born Jan. 12, 1915, in Hancock County, a daughter of the late Simeon and Clara (Cross) McClain.
Mrs. Addison was a 1933 Carthage High School graduate.
Survivors include a daughter, Melanie (husband, James) Gray of Carthage; a son, Dean (wife, Linda) Addison of Carthage; her twin sister, Fleta Heim of Carthage; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt A. Addison.
Funeral services were April 18 at Walnut Ridge Friends Church in Carthage with Rev. Paul Enyart officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation was April 18 at the church. Todd Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Daisy M. Lee
Aug. 12, 1923 – Apr. 17, 2009
Daisy M. Lee, 85, of Knightstown, died April 17 in Greenfield.
She was born Aug. 12, 1923, in Surry County, N.C., a daughter of the late Early and Emma (Hayes) Steele.
Mrs. Lee was a homemaker for many years, but had worked in Lawrence and Anderson in the 1950s. She lived in Anderson since June 2008, having lived in Knightstown for 41 years. Mrs. Lee attended South Memorial Drive Church of God in New Castle for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Marcia (husband, Paul) Lund of Anderson; a son, Timothy (wife, Carol) Lee of Knightstown; five grandchildren, Mark (wife, Karen) Lund of Seattle, Wash., Cindy (husband, Roy) Bauer of Greenwood, Julie (husband, Joel) Workman of Columbus, Ohio, Rebekah Lee of Atlanta, Ga., and Elizabeth Lee of Indianapolis; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Clifton of Rossville, Ga.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Osmyn “Roy” Lee; three brothers, Henry, Fred and James Steele; a sister, Phoebe Lane; and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Bauer.
Funeral services were April 21 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Rev. Paul Lund officiating. Burial followed in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Jobe Lewis Drysdale

Jobe Lewis Drysdale, 25, of Kennard, died April 18 in Richmond.
He was born Sept. 13, 1983, a son of Rebecca Drysdale and Alton Knepley.
Mr. Drysdale was a construction worker, an avid fisherman and an animal lover. He enjoyed playing his guitar, had many friends and known as a good uncle.
Survivors include his mother, Rebecca Drysdale of Kennard; his father, Alton Knepley; a brother, Joshua Hicks of Kennard; a grandmother, Carolyn Drysdale of Kennard; two aunts, Cindy Sweigart of New Castle and Mary Beth Pribble of Kennard; two uncles, Dan Drysdale of Kennard and Jeff Drysdale of Atlanta, Ga.; a nephew, Jacob Hicks of New Castle; and one niece, Allison Jolley of New Castle.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John “J.C.” Drysdale.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Charles Riggs officiating. Visitation is 9 a.m. until time of services on April 25 at the funeral home.

Russell E. VanDuyn

Russell E. VanDuyn, 70, of Knightstown, died April 17 at his home.
He was born Nov. 16, 1938, in Hancock County, a son of Wilma Mae VanDuyn and the late Mirl VanDuyn.
Mr. VanDuyn worked at Press Glass in Greenfield, The Paddock in Knightstown and Wal-Mart in Anderson. He was an elder of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Knightstown.
Survivors include his mother, Wilma Mae VanDuyn; a stepson, Larry (wife, Beth) Reynolds of Knoxville, Tenn.; two step-grandchildren, Andrea (husband, Mark) Horn of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Danielle Reynolds of Cincinnati; a brother, Thomas VanDuyn of Greenfield; three sisters, Donna Gambrel of Greenfield, Carolyn Lang of Noblesville and Marilyn Dickerson of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are at 7 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Knightstown with Clyde Buckley officiating. Private burial will take place at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Arrangements are being handled by Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson.
Dennis L. Strickland
July 27, 1945 – May 4, 2009
Dennis L. Strickland, 63, of Brownsburg, died May 4.
He was born July 27, 1945, in Epsom, a son of the late Roy and Eugenia (McKinney) Strickland.
Survivors include his wife, Jane (Talbert) Strickland; a brother, Bradley Strickland of Indianapolis; a sister, Diana (husband, Joseph) Nash of Knightstown; an uncle, Robert Strickland of Guernville, Cal.; an aunt, Iva Casper of Sylacauga, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Sanders and Suzon Murrell.
Private funeral services are being arranged by Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Burial took place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
