Jeannette K. Kuhn-Hubbell

Jeanette K. Kuhn-Hubbell, 63, died Dec. 28 at I.U.–Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born Nov. 3, 1948, in Connersville, a daughter of the late Wilford and Violet Rose (Morris) Chaney.
Mrs. Kuhn-Hubbell was a 1966 graduate of Connersville High School. Formerly of the Everton community, she had worked for J.C. Penny, Farm Bureau Co-op, Connersville Credit Bureau and D & L Paint Company in Liberty. She helped her husband around the farm in rural Lewisville, worked on the organizing committee for her class reunions and worked the polls in Bentonville. She also attended and was very active in Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, John C. Hubbell; three children, Lea (husband, David) Fledderman of Brookville, Lawrie (husband, Phillip) Willis of Delano, Tenn., and David (wife, Susan) Hubbell of Lewisville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Cheryl (husband, Kenneth) Boggs of Tampa, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence W. "Bud" Kuhn Jr., and a stepbrother, Paul W. Chaney.
Visitation was Jan. 1 and funeral services were Jan. 2 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Lewisville with Rev. Arthur Whitaker officiating. Burial followed at Ebenezer Cemetery in Lewisville. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin was entrusted with the arrangements.

Joyce Marie Tanner
October 9, 1943 – December 27, 2011
Joyce Marie (Jones) Tanner, 68, died Dec. 27 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
She was born Oct. 9, 1943, in Henry County, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Lenora Jones.
Mrs. Tanner attended Knightstown schools. She was a member of Shirley Nazarene Church. She enjoyed shopping, camping, cooking, family, and her church.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde Tanner of Greenfield; sons Rick Tanner of California, Steve Tanner of Greenfield, Marty (wife, Ginger) Tanner of Greenfield and Randy (wife, Misty) Tanner of New Castle; a daughter, Tammy (husband, Chris) Krug of Greenfield; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Janie Carroll and Ruth Van Horn of Greenfield and Maxine Renfro of Shirley; half-brother Bob Woods of Franklin; half-sister Viola Salzmann of Sacramento, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph "Buzz" and Bill Jones.
A memorial service will be held Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. at Shirley Church of the Nazarene.

Harold L. Jones
December 16, 1929 – December 25, 2011
Harold L. Jones, 82, of Greenfield, died Dec. 25 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
He was born Dec. 16, 1929, in Shirley, a son of the late Grover and Zora (Van Duyn) Jones.
Mr. Jones was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He retired from Eli Lilly & Co. in Greenfield in 1989. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield and American Legion Post #119 of Greenfield. He was an avid I.U. basketball fan, and enjoyed fishing and basket making.
Survivors include a daughter, Jill (husband, Lewis) Ebbert of Greenfield; a granddaughter, Amanda Ebbert of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Richard Jones of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (Hagman) Jones; four brothers, Max, Bob, Dale and Cleo Jones; and a sister, Ruth Strough.
Visitation and funeral services were Dec. 30 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Bill Stumpf officiating. Burial with military graveside rites provided by Post #119 followed at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.

Annalee Lynch
March 31, 1931 – December 25, 2011
Annalee Lynch, 80, formerly of Connersville, died Dec. 25 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
She was born March 31, 1931, in Oaktown, a daughter of the late Urie and Anna Morgan Faris.
Mrs. Lynch was a graduate of Alquina High School. She was born and raised in a parsonage and involved in the Christian community all her life. She was the daughter of a minister, the wife of a minister and the mother of two ministers. Mrs. Lynch and her husband lived in numerous communities, including Carthage, Monrovia, Connersville, Indianapolis and Martinsville. They also lived in Baxter, Minn., and since 2005, in Kalona, Iowa. Mrs. Lynch was known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent her lifetime serving the Lord.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward (wife, Cindy) Lynch of Connersville, Donald (wife, Ruthann) Lynch of Jacksonville, Fla., and Michael (wife, Karen) Lynch of Kalona, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Christopher (wife, Holly), Gregory, John (wife, Amanda), James, Jared, Brian (wife, Sarah) and Sarah; six great-grandchildren, Calliope, Persephone, Molly, John Owen, Brooklyn and Madisyn; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Lynch; and her nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation was Dec. 28 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City and in Connersville on Dec. 30. Funeral services were Dec. 30 at Woodland Bible Church in Connersville with Pastor Knox Bullock officiating. Burial with private family services was at Everton Cemetery. Urban Winkler Funeral Home in Connersville was entrusted with local arrangements.
David Wells Whitton
November 10, 1944 – December 25, 2011
David Wells Whitton, 67, of South Bend, formerly of New Castle, died Dec. 25 at Sanctuary of Holy Cross Health Care Facility in South Bend.
He was born Nov. 10, 1944, in New Castle, a son of Roy P. and Norma Louise Whitton.
Mr. Whitton graduated from Greenfield High School and Ball State University and attended I.U. Law School in Indianapolis. He was an attorney with Renfro and Whitton Law Office and later with Whitton and Lansinger Law Office. He was elected prosecutor for two terms in Henry County. He was appointed by the governor as circuit court judge, and served as public defender and assistant prosecutor in Henry County and as an assistant prosecutor for St. Joseph County. Mr. Whitton attended Kern Road Mennonite Church in South Bend and was a member of the Presbyterian Church in New Castle.
Survivors include his parents, Roy P. (wife, Kay) Whitton of Lake Placid, Fla.; his mother, Louise Whitton of South Bend; his wife, Almeda Steele Whitton of South Bend; daughter Abigail (husband, Murray) Weaver of South Bend; son David Michael (wife, Amy Fox) Whitton of Saline, Mich.; one brother, Matthew Roy (wife, Judy) Whitton of Greenfield; and five grandchildren, Evelyn and Ian Weaver and Mark, Adam and Jason Whitton.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Bill Wells; and his grandparents, Louise and Clarence Wells and Ovid and Marie Chambers.
Visitation and funeral services were Dec. 29 at Marcum Community Funeral Home in New Castle with Pastor Janice Sutter officiating.

Bonnie Lee Eaton
March 27, 1927 – December 20, 2011
Bonnie Lee Eaton, 84, of New Castle, died Dec. 20 at I.U.-Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born March 27, 1927, in Monticello, Ky., a daughter of the late Harrison Rufus and Martha Wayne (Crabtree) Morris.
Mrs. Eaton was known as a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening and taking care of her family. She was a member of the Rose City Breakers CB Club.
Survivors include three children, Donald L. Eaton of New Castle, Phyllis (husband, Gary) Troxell of Mooreland and Carolyn S. (husband, Fred) Groce of Kennard; 10 grandchildren, Donald L. Eaton Jr. of Kokomo, Tim Eaton of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Kenny Eaton of Milford, Aimee Eaton of Cridersville, Ohio, Chris Eaton of New Castle, Lora (husband, Mark) Coffey of New Castle, Kevin Troxell of New Castle, Michelle (husband, Nelson) White of Kennard, Jason A. (wife, Marissa) Groce of Kennard and Whitney Groce of Kennard; 18 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anthea Coffey of Monticello, Ky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard W. Eaton; a son, Tommy Eaton; four sisters, Ruby, Lucy, Elsie and Roxie; and five brothers, Oliver "Slim," Hayden, Virgil, Dave and Ned Morris.
Visitation and funeral services were Dec. 27 at Main & Davis Funeral Home in New Castle. Burial followed at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
Michael L. Walda
January 24, 1953 – December 20, 2011
Michael L. Walda, 58, formerly of Knightstown, died Dec. 20 at Ambassador Health Care in Centerville.
He was born Jan. 24, 1953, in Rushville, the son of Robert and Mildred (Broyels) Walda.
Mr. Walda was employed at several Ford and Chrysler dealerships as a parts manager.
Survivors include his father, of Cumberland; two sons, Brian Michael Walda of New Castle and Kurtis Robert Walda of Indianapolis; one sister, Sue Nigh of Cumberland; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother-in-law.
Visitation and funeral services were Dec. 23 at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown with Rev. Randy Gross officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
