Percy G. Reynolds, 83, of Wilkinson, died Oct. 17.
He was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Hancock County, a son of the late Victor and Fannie (Kemerly) Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds retired from Delco Remy in Anderson. He was a member and elder of Wilkinson Church of Christ. He served in the United States Army and was an avid computer enthusiast, farmer and gardener. He enjoyed serving other people.
Survivors include his wife, Doris (Estelle) Reynolds of Wilkinson; three sons, Tim (wife, Cathy) Reynolds of Wilkinson, Michael (wife, Anita) Reynolds of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Brad (wife, Cheryl) Reynolds of Greenfield; two daughters, Cindy (husband, Joe) Dade of Alliance, Ohio, and Patty (husband, Virgil) Nolen of Shelbyville; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Wallace of Wilkinson and Peggy (husband, Bill) Kivett of Payson, Ariz.; a brother, Jim (wife, Nancy) Reynolds of Chesterfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Oct. 20 from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Funeral services are Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. at Wilkinson Church of Christ with Ryan McCarty and Russ Lutz officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.

Lewis A. Johnson
January 5, 1938 – October 16, 2011
Lewis A. Johnson, 73, of Carthage, died Oct. 16 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
He was born Jan. 5, 1938, in Russell County, Ky., a son of the late Ruel and Bertha (McClendon) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a draftsman for Warhouser in California.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Johnson of Carthage; three daughters, Donna Oakes of Charlottesville, Candice Westrum of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, and Chantel Herring of Greenfield; a son, Tim Johnson of Idaho; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Johnson of Rushville and Randall Johnson of Greenfield; four sisters, Rachel Johnson of Greenfield, Sue Johnson of Greenfield, Doris Masters of Wilkinson and Edna Ryan of Greenfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Johnson; three brothers, Bud Johnson, Lowell Johnson and Robert Johnson; and two sisters, Irene Johnson and Betty Bauges.
Graveside funeral services will be held Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with Gary Sickle officiating. There will be no visitation. Condo & Son Funeral Home of Wilkinson is in charge of arrangements.
Wallace "Ray" Perdue
February 19, 1966 - October 15, 2011
Wallace "Ray" Perdue, 45, of Fairborn, Ohio, died Oct. 15.
He was the son of the late John Perdue and Maxine (Tester) Denny Perdue. They died when he was a child and he was raised by his brother Junior and by Winfred F. Denny and Betsy Denny of Wilkinson.
Mr. Perdue was known as a hardworking and dedicated husband and father and a man who stood up for the innocent and weak.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Ann (Burchett) Perdue; children Christopher Ray, Samuel Adam and Sabrina Marie; brothers Winfred Daniel (wife, Dawn) Denny, Donald R. (wife, Edith) Denny, Delbert (wife, Norma) Denny and Charles (wife, Terry) Denny; sisters Cheryl (husband, Jason) Brockman, Clorissa (husband, Patrick) Quillin, Shirley (husband, Edward) Sanders, Janice (husband, Eugene) Cummings, Delores Brown, Dorlane Denny-Guffy and Lena Sommers; father-in-law and mother-in-law Buster Burchett, Jr., and Beatrice (Hayden) Burchett; three sisters-in-law, Shelda (husband, Jerry) Whited, Melinda (husband, David) Fahrenholz and Robin (husband, James) Salmons; and a brother-in-law, Scott (wife, Debbie) Burchett.
Funeral services will be held in Meally, Ky. Newcomer Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Vivian P. Epperson
January 15, 1926 - October 19, 2011
Vivian P. Epperson, 85, of Richmond, formerly of Knightstown, died October 18 at Golden Rule Care Center in Richmond.
She was born January 14, 1926 in Hope, a daughter of the late Edward and Menerva Barmes.
Mrs. Epperson had worked as a cook at Laughner’s Cafeteria in Indianapolis and at the G-2 Restaurant in Knightstown.
Survivors include her children, Herbert L. (wife, Jerry) Epperson Jr. of Fairland, David H. Epperson of Indianapolis, Gregg F. Epperson of Noblesville, Tammy (husband, John) Springman, Jr. of Carthage and Bill J. Kunkel of Knightstown and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Jerri Wheeler.
Private funeral services will take place at the family’s convenience.

James T. Butcher Jr.
May 14, 1948 – October 22, 2011
James T. Butcher Jr., 63, of Fortville, died Oct. 22 at Anderson Speedway.
He was born May 14, 1948, in Elwood, a son of the late James Butcher and Beatrice Helen (Davis) Butcher.
Mr. Butcher retired in 2010 with over 30 years of service from Hancock County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War, and was a member of Fortville American Legion Post #391 and Shirley Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Judith (Leighton) (Ratliff) Butcher of Fortville; six children, Jamie (husband, Jerry) Ball of Danville, W. Va., Charles William Butcher of Madison, W. Va., Elizabeth (husband, Randy) Valentine of Fortville, James Ratliff of Indianapolis, Douglas (wife, Linda) Ratliff of Indianapolis and Michael Ratliff of Indianapolis; a brother, William Butcher of Greensboro; grandchildren Joanetta (husband, Steven) Lester of Ridgeville, W.Va., Trae Messer of Danville, W.Va., Chris Tapia of Kansas City, Mo., Clinton (wife, Brittany) Valentine of McCordsville, Ryan (wife, Sheryl) Napier Raeford of North Carolina and Brandon Linn of Indianapolis; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Moore, and a brother, Donald Butcher.
Visitation was Oct. 25 and funeral services were Oct. 26 at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson with graveside military services.

Sharon "Susie" Denice Miller
October 2, 1946 – October 22, 2011
Sharon "Susie" Denice Miller, 65, of Knightstown, died Oct. 22 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born Oct. 2, 1946, in Henry County, the daughter of the late Harley C. and L. Lorena Purtee.
Mrs. Miller was a 1968 graduate of Ball State University and earned a master’s degree in 1973. She taught high school business at Spiceland High School from 1968 to 1969 and taught for 41 years in business at Rushville High School, retiring in 2010.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth E. Miller, formerly of Dunkirk; two brothers, Danny L. (wife, Mary Jo) Purtee, and David E. (wife, Mary “Midge”) Purtee; nephews and nieces William (wife, Jodi), Jessica, Taylor, James (wife, Britte), Melissa, Megan and Matthew, and their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no visitation. Graveside funeral services will be Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with Rev. Carolyn Stoten officiating. Hinsey-Brown in Knightstown is in charge of arrangements.

Thelma "Mo" Hickey
June 17, 1926 – October 21, 2011
Thelma "Mo" Hickey, 85, of Shirley, died Oct. 21.
She was born June 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Otto and Anna Jones of Willow Hill, Ill.
Mrs. Hickey taught school and worked for Trans World Airlines. She was a member of Knightstown Baptist Church. She was known as a devoted wife and mother and as someone who served others and the Lord.
Survivors include three children, Steve (wife, Deb) Hickey of Shirley, Shari (husband, Art) Bookwalter of Shirley and Barb (husband, Mike) Kindler of Greenfield; six grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wendell and Don Jones; and a sister, Vera Lou Huddleston.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hickey; a brother, Bob Jones; and two sisters, Ada Mae Moran and Rachel Jones.
Visitation was Oct. 24 and funeral services were Oct. 25 at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown with Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Condo and Son Funeral Home of Wilkinson was in charge of arrangements.
