Troy Allen Pyles

Troy Allen Pyles, 44, of Spring Hill, Tenn., formerly of Anderson, died March 11 at his home.
He was born Feb. 2, 1966, in Anderson, a son of Sharon Pyles.
Mr. Pyles was a carpenter for 23 years. He enjoyed playing guitars and golf. He was known as an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Pyles; a brother, Jeff (wife, Tammy) Pyles of Anderson; two step-daughters, Crystal and April Bayliff of Wichita, Kan.; two nephews, Zebe and Zachary Pyles of Anderson.
Funeral services were March 15 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Phil Rogers officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was March 14 at the funeral home.
Delbert Hedrick, Jr.
March 4, 1927 - March 10, 2010
Delbert Hedrick, Jr., 83, of Markleville, died March 10 at Manorcare in Anderson.
He was born March 4, 1927, in New Castle, a son of the late Delbert and Gertrude (Hughes) Hedrick.
Mr. Hedrick was a carpenter and a member of Union Local 1016 in Muncie for 40 years. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Carl Hedrick of Lynn; a step-granddaughter; one step-great-grandson; one step-great-granddaughter; five sisters, Mary Nichols, Emma Bailey, Dianna J. Selmeyer and Eva Bailey, all of Sulphur Springs and Gloria J. Burton of New Castle; and two brothers, Melvin E. Hedrick of New Castle and Thomas H. Hedrick of Greensboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Kendall Hedrick; two sisters, Nellie May Orr and Fern "Cookie" Kingery; and three brothers, Edward Hedrick, James R. Hedrick and Charles Hedrick.
Funeral services were March 15 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Rev. Dale Landis officiating. Burial followed at Harlan Cemetery. Visitation was March 15 at the funeral home.
Victoria A. Lawson
August 31, 2002 - February 21, 2010
Victoria A. Lawson, 7, died Feb. 21 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
She was born Aug. 31, 2002, in Muncie, a daughter of Aaron and Lori (Rector) Lawson.
Miss Lawson was a first grader at Royerton Elementary School. She fought leukemia for over four years and was known as a brave and dignified little girl. She enjoyed spending time with her pets, crafts, drawing, painting, reading and writing stories.
Survivors include her parents, Aaron and Lori Lawson; a sister, Amy Winchester; maternal grandmother, Sue Wissler of New Lisbon; her maternal grandfather, Sam (wife, Judy) Rector of Knightstown; her paternal grand parents, Harold and Ann Lawson of Shelbyville; her maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Juanita Messick of Knightstown; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her triplet siblings, Margaret, Gavin, and Gabriel and her uncle and godfather, Craig Lawson.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Andrew Dudzinski officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, in Muncie.

Jesse (Smith) Myers Beyers
August 13, 1916 - February 18, 2010
Jesse (Smith) Myers Beyers, 93, died Feb. 18 at Ashford Place in Shelbyville.
She was born Aug. 13, 1916, in London, Ky., a daughter of the late Austin and Louisa (Patterson) Smith.
Mrs. Beyers was a 1934 Morristown High School graduate. A wife and homemaker, she later worked as a bookkeeper for Tweedy Lumber Company in Carthage. She was a member of Shiloh Christian Church and First Church of God, where she served for many years as a secretary and treasurer.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (wife, Alma) Myers of Greenfield, David (wife, Diane) Myers of Indianapolis, Rita (husband, David) Dodd of Fishers, Roger (wife, Glendora) Beyers of Greenfield, Joe (wife, Marjorie) Beyers of Charlottesville, John (wife, Elaine) Beyers of Evansville and Jim (wife, Charlew) Beyers of Knightstown; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Lincoln Myers and Ralph Beyers; a son, Richard Myers; a granddaughter, Rita Bennett; a sister, Nellie; and three brothers, Bill, Thurman and Curtis Smith.
Funeral services were Feb. 22 at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield with Rev. Fred Girdwood and Pastor Russell Jarvis officiating. Burial followed at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation was Feb. 21 at the funeral home.

William Eugene Saunders
October 9, 1927 - March 20, 2010
William Eugene Saunders, 82, of Lewisville, died March 20.
He was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Bloomington, a son of the late James V. and Inez (Stewart) Saunders.
Mr. Saunders attended Lewisville High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was a life-long mechanic, working at Dee Meadows Ford, Fred First Ford, both in Richmond, Jack Shields Ford in New Castle and Allen Chevrolet in Cambridge City. He later worked for the Henry County Highway Department until retirement. Known to his working colleagues as "Shorty Saunders," he was known for helping friends, family and even strangers with their cars, lawn mowers and motorcycles. In 2009, he worked with his sons and grandsons to restore his mother’s 1939 Plymouth.
Survivors include two sons, Tom (wife, Sue) Saunders of Lewisville and John (wife, Mary) Saunders of Cache, Okla.; one daughter, Terri (husband, Gary) Roberts of New Castle; four grandsons, Jason Roberts, Andy Saunders, Patrick (wife, Danielle) Saunders and Luke Saunders; a granddaughter, Danielle Saunders; a great grandson, Benjamin Roberts; a sister, Patty (husband, Charles) Morelock of Danville; and several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances "Fanny" Saunders; and a brother, Robert Saunders.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Lewisville with Rev. Mick Saunders officiating. Burial will follow at Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation was March 23 at the funeral home.

Joan Weber
December 15, 1927 - March 18, 2010
Joan Weber, 82, of Greenfield, died March 18 at Golden Living Center in Greenfield.
She was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Greenfield, a daughter of the late Clyde and Mildred (Curtis) Butcher.
Mrs. Weber was a very active member at Knightstown United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Knightstown Homemakers Club.
Survivors include a son, Robert (wife, Janet) Weber of Knightstown; two daughters, Janet (husband, Bill) Houlette of Grand Junction, Colo., and Rita (husband, Hank) Frech of Washington, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Weber.
Funeral services were March 22 at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown with Rev. Ken Wells officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was March 21 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Knightstown United Methodist Church.
Jack E. Morrow
July 31, 1927 - March 17, 2010
Jack E. Morrow, 82, of Knightstown, died March 17 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1927, in Knightstown, a son of Carl T. and Norma (Button) Morrow.
Mr. Morrow was a veteran of the U.S. Army/Air Force SCARWAF division, the acronym of which stood for Special Category Army Reassigned With the Air Force. He worked with his father at Morrow Lumber Company in Raysville and also worked as a truck driver for Moor Man Feed Company for 27 years. He was a member of Knightstown Friends Church and he enjoyed woodworking and helping others.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie (Muir) Morrow; and one son, Steven (wife, Linda) Morrow.
Funeral services were March 19 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Pastor Mark Herbkersman officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
