Jack L. Randolph
(July 6, 1930 - September 4, 2011)
Jack “The Barber” Randolph, age 81 years, one of the last old country barbers, took Jesus into his heart and peacefully went to be with his Savior on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Kindred Healthcare, Greenfield.
He was born July 6, 1930 in Hilham, Tenn. to the late James H. and Versie (Bilyeu) Randolph.
He attended Stringtown Nazarene Church and was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing poker.
He was a member of the Greenfield Lions Club and American Legion Post 119 of Greenfield.
For 40 years his barber shop in Greenfield, served as a gathering point for men needing tonsorial services and seeking to discuss the issues of the day from myriad points of view.
After his retirement, he took his clippers and scissors as a volunteer to shut-ins at home, hospitals and nursing homes to minister to their appearances.
The spirited discussions were then moved to the Riley House for coffee.
He was a resident of the Lutheran Services Center in Greenfield.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Lewman of Greenfield, sons, Robert Randolph of Fayetteville, Tenn., Donald Randolph of San Diego, Calif., sister, Dereva (John) Stickford of Greenfield, granddaughters, Amber Wiley and Carli Lewman.
His sisters, Anne Merle, Jenna Lee and brother Douglas preceded him in death.
Memorial service will be 12:oo p.m. Thursday September 8, 2011 at Brandywine Community Church with Gary Wright officiating.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Anne G. Brouhard
(November 17, 1922 - August 26, 2011)
Anne G. Brouhard, age 88 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away Friday morning August 26, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield.
She was born November 17, 1922 in Denver, Colorado to the late Edmond & Lousie (Sturgiss) Hodgkins.
She was a home maker and a former Republican Chairwoman.
She is survived by her sons, Lawrence “Wes” Brouhard of Greenfield, Bob Brouhard of Shelbyville and 3 grandchildren, Chris ( Dana) Brouhard, Melinda Brouhard and Melissa Brouhard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Hugh Brouhard, son Harold (Tupp) Stafford and her sister Harriett Korf.
At the family’s request there will be no services. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. Services have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield.
Lena Mae Garris Carr
March 8, 1917 – February 13, 2011
Lena Mae Garris Carr, 93, of Spiceland, died Feb. 13 at Hickory Creek Health Center in New Castle.
She was born March 8, 1917, in Bentonville, the daughter of the late Clifford and Amanda (Johnson) Garris.
Mrs. Carr retired from Draper, Inc. in 1974 after working there many years. She was an active member of the Spiceland Friends Meeting. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and cooking.
Survivors include two nephews, Bart (wife, Nancy) Benjamin of Macedonia, Ohio, and Fran (wife, Wendy) Benjamin of Oregon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence V. Carr, and a sister, Mary Garris.
Services will be at 11a.m. on Feb. 18 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Cathy Harris and Richard Ratcliff officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.

Vickie J. Day
October 30, 1949 – February 13, 2011
Vickie J. Day, 61, of Knightstown, died Feb. 13 at her home.
She was born Oct. 30, 1949, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Joe and Eunice (Moistner) Johnson.
Mrs. Day lived in Somerset, Ky., most of her life and moved to Knightstown in 1997. She worked at Palm Beach in Somerset for several years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at American Legion Post #152 in Knightstown. A member of the Church of Christ in Somerset, she attended the Greensboro Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry R. Day Sr. of Knightstown; five sons, Darrin E. (wife, Brenda) Johnson of Clinton, Utah, Larry Gailylon Wall of Somerset, Jerry R. Jr. (wife, Laura) Day of Carthage, Marty (wife, Sherri) Day of Carthage and Joe (wife, Missy) Day of Knightstown; three sisters, Angela Dick, Brenda Vaught and Shirley Calhoun, all of Somerset; and 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services are at 2 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery in Science Hill, Ky. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Feb. 18 at the funeral home in Somerset or locally on Feb. 16 from 4-8 p.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
Melissa Ann Hornaday
December 15, 1965 – February 12, 2011
Melissa Ann Hornaday, 45, died on Feb. 12 in Rushville.
She was born Dec. 15, 1965 in Smyrna, Tenn., the daughter of George Magee and Sue (Denton) Magee.
Mrs. Hornaday lived in Knightstown and Carthage before moving to Rushville. She graduated from Knightstown High School in 1984. She worked at Gus’s Café in Carthage and as a CNA at Regency Place in Greenfield. She was an avid Colts fan and enjoyed cooking, fishing, friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Hornaday, Jr. of Rushville; one son, George Michael Magee of Muncie; one daughter, Elizabeth Katherine Magee of Knightstown; one sister, Melinda "Mindy" Magee of Knightstown; her mother-in-law, Sandra Bostic; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one brother, George Michael Magee; grandparents Paul and Geneva Denton and Bill "Pop" and Elsie Katherine Magee; and father-in-law Steve Hornaday, Sr.
Visitation was Feb. 15 and a funeral service was held on Feb. 16 at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with Pastor Randy Ross officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.

Lena M. Caudill
September 3, 1922 – February 11, 2011
Lena M. Caudill, 88, of Knightstown, died Feb. 11 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
She was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Morehead, Ky., the daughter of the late Walter and Nancy (Jackson) Goodwin.
Mrs. Caudill was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Knightstown. She was a member of Faith Chapel Church in Knightstown.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary (husband, William) Klare and a son, James (wife, Margo) Caudill, both of Shelbyville; daughter-in-law Sandy Caudill of Calif.; grandchildren Melissa Tucker, Amanda Gillilan, Margaret Bolding, Megan Klare, Kimberly Kraeszig and Christina Caudill; five great-grandchildren, Kristin Leffler, Mariah Tucker, Mallory Bolding, Abigayle Bolding, Gabriel Klare, Joseph Kraeszig and McKinley Kraeszig; two sisters, Dessie Morgan of Markleville and Goldie Jackson of Knightstown; a brother, Dude Goodwin of Knightstown; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Les" Caudill, Sr.; a son, William Caudill, Jr.; a sister, Grace Thompson; and two brothers, Oral and George Goodwin.
Calling was Feb. 15 and services were Feb. 16 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial followed in Glen Cove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Chapel Church, 359 E. Morgan St., Knightstown, IN 46148.
Beverly Sue Moore
July 18, 1949 – February 10, 2011
Beverly Sue (Roy) Moore, 61, of Indianapolis died Feb. 10.
She was born July 18, 1949, in New Castle, the daughter of the late Eddie Aaron and Lola Margaret (Frye) Roy.
Mrs. Moore was a member of Connection Pointe Christian Church in Brownsburg. She worked in the produce department for Wal-Mart in Lawrence and then in Brownsburg. Prior to that, she worked in shipping and receiving for BaneClene and as a domestic engineer for RCA.
Survivors include her husband, Richard James Moore; children Regina "Regi" Stonebraker, Rhonda (husband, James) Beecher, Kelley Sue Jackson, Steven (wife, Jana) Jackson, Jr., and Kimberly Moore; grandchildren Tony, Kierra, Jordan, Emily, Jamie, Sarah, Thailer, Briana, and Isaiah Bella; and siblings Barbara Norfleet, Doris Steward, Darlus Johnson, Sharon Kay Steward, Gary (wife, Jean) Roy, Roger (wife, Patricia) Roy and Ronnie Roy.
Funeral services took place at Washington Park North Cemetery in Indianapolis.
