KEITH RUDOLPH, 82, Lanesville, died Monday, March 24, at his home. He was retired from L. Hartman & Sons, was a lumber inspector for 24 years, and was a member of Cherry Street Church of Christ. Survivors include five daughters, R. Elaine Owen of Greenville, Cynthia Ellen Shannon of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Phyllis Ann Tucker of New Albany, and Donna Jean Harper and Helen Lea Hickman, both of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 28, at Cherry Street Church of Christ in New Albany with burial in Graceland Memorial Park. Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes handled the arrangements. Expressions of sympathy should go to the Salvation Army.

CORA M. NOLAND, 86, Salem, died on Sunday, March 23, while on vacation in Destin, Florida. He was a radiation oncologist practicing in Southern Indiana and Louisville. He was a medical partner with Birkhead, Conley, Eckman and Sharf, PSC, and worked through Baptist Hospital East and Kindred Radiation Centers. He graduated from Sandy Hook High School, Morehead State University and the University of Louisville Medical School and specialized in cancer treatment. He was a member of the Valhalla and Valley View golf clubs in Louisville and Floyds Knobs, served as president of the American Cancer Society in Indiana and was a member of the Pendennis Club in Louisville. Survivors include his mother, Elaine Greene Conley of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; four sons, Carson Phillip Conley and Cooper Thrasher Conley, both of Greenville, Joe Greene Conley II of Princeton, NJ, and Richard Cody Conley of Louisville; a daughter, Trina Joe Conley of California; two brothers, Galen W. Conley, DMD, and Brent Conley, both of Sandy Hook; and two sisters, Carole Binion of Sandy Hook and Janie Mustari of Sarasota, Florida. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 28, at Generations’ Chapel with burial in Elliot County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook. JUNE FROMAN, 68, New Albany, died Thursday, March 27, at his home. He was a native of Floyd County, a member of the VFW Hobart Beach post #1693 and St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Becky Masden of Floyds Knobs; a brother, Ray Banet of Floyds Knobs; two sisters, Velma Batliner and Joyce Daugherty, both of Floyds Knobs; and one grandchild. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 31, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Kraft Funeral Service handled the arrangements. B. LaVON COX TATE, 64, Clarksville, died Friday, March 28. He was a retired farmer and a World War II Army veteran, having earned the rank of corporal. He was a life-member of Little York Christian Church, having served there as an elder, a deacon and a board member. He was a member of Scott County Scottish Rite, Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, American Legion Mount-Wilson Post #473, Little York Masonic Lodge F&AM #512 and Indiana Farm Bureau and a former councilman and Scott County commissioner. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn (Nichols) Jackson; five daughters, Marilyn Crane and Peggy Hill, both of Scottsburg, Linda Hunley of Austin, Diane Smith of Pekin and Patricia Nicholson of Salem; two brothers, his twin, Lee Jackson of Little York and Harry Jackson of Scottsburg; a sister, Ruth Mosley of Scottsburg; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 31, at Little York Christian Church with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery, with an American Legion graveside service. JANE E. LYNCH, 87, New Albany, died Saturday, March 29. Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Smith and Marilyn Caruthers, both of New Albany, and Jan Koren of North Carolina; two sons, Michael Bir of New Albany and Steve Bir of Georgetown; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. SHELBY NASH, 66, New Salisbury, died Friday, March 28, at Floyd Memorial Hospital. A native of Depauw, she was retired from Colgate/Palmolive Company in Jeffersonville and a member of Morton Memorial United Methodist Church in Clarksville. Survivors include her husband, Harry W. Bye; and three brothers, Charles Briscoe of Ft. Myers, Florida, Raymond Briscoe of New Albany and Richard “Corky” Briscoe of Depauw. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 31, at Kraft Chapel with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Kraft Funeral Service handled the arrangements.

LLOYD J. BIEL, 82, Lanesville, died Saturday, March 29, at University Hospital in Louisville. She was a native of Kentucky and a member of Salem Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Gerald Marker; a son, Ronald Marker of Pekin; a daughter, Sharon Allen of Campbellsburg; two brothers, Oscar Green Jr. of Salem and Bill Green of Texas; a sister, Loretta Lewis of Salem; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, at 1 p.m. at Weathers Funeral Home. The body will be cremated.

BEN DOLPHUS LEDBETTER SR., 82, Charlestown, died Monday, March 24. Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 27, at Grayson’s Funeral Home with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville, Kentucky.

CHARLES "BOBBY" ROARX, 67, Sellersburg, died Thursday, March 27. She was a native of Clark County, a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a retired teacher for West Clark Schools. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Hamm and Daniel Hamm; a daughter, Mary Joe Schafer of Sellersburg; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A native of Salem, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Salem and was a retired employee of Helsel Corporation in Campbellsburg. Survivors include two sons, Mark Gorman of Orleans and Mathew Gorman of Salem; his fiancee, Sue Westfall of Campbellsburg; two sisters, Betty Voyles of Salem and Mary Ellen Axsom of Jeffersonville; and one grandchild. A private graveside service was held on Saturday, March 29, at Lawrenceport Cemetery in Mitchell. Dawalt Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

NORMA D. BOWLING, 42, Salem, died on Monday, March 24, at his home. Born in Butterfly, Ky., he had lived in Austin since 1950 and then moved to the Hanover area, where he lived for the past two years. He retired from Arvin Automotive in 1989 after 19 years and had also worked for Morgan Foods Inc. in Austin for nine years. He attended the Chelsea Church of God. Survivors include his widow, the former Janice Wynn; a son, Stacy Lynn Fugate of Lexington; three daughters, Darlene Jent, Deloris Fluhr and Annette Owens, all of Austin; six stepsons, John Smith of Scottsburg, Carl Smith of Georgetown, Clayton Smith of Austin and James Cox Jr., Jerry Cox and Terry Cox, all of Hanover; five stepdaughters, Ruth West of Deputy, Rhonda Winchester of Austin, Judy Morris of Scottsburg, Shirley Smithers of Hanover and Susan Sullivan of Madison; three sisters, Eva Eversole of Austin, and Barbara Baker and Nella Johnson, both of Hazard, Ky.; 34 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted on Thursday, March 27, at the Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home in Madison. The Rev. Terry D. Eversole officiated. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Austin. PATRICIA HALL JAMES, 68, Seymour, born in Boston, Ma., and was an Indiana resident most of her life. She was a retired employee of the old U.S. Shoe Corporation in Crothersville. Memberships included the Church of the American Martyrs in Scottsburg and American Legion Post 89 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 ladies’ auxiliary, both in Seymour. Survivors include a son, Sgt. Wayne Hall with the U.S. Air Force in Voorhies, N.J.; two daughters, Sandy Peacock of Deputy and Sherry May of Beech Grove; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. The funeral was conducted on Thursday, March 27, at her church. The Rev. Father Thomas L. Schliessmann officiated. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Austin. Staff of the Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg was in charge of arrangements.

CECELIA W. McDANIEL, 72, Crothersville, born in Ohio and had formerly lived in New Orleans, La., Milton, Ky., and Scottsburg. She was a retired New Orleans taxi owner and driver and a member of First Baptist Church in Milton. Survivors include three sons, John Zierhut of Crothersville, Bruce Zierhut Sr. of Francisville, La., and James Johnson of Crothersville’ four daughters, Linda Z. Ryan of Metairie, La., Debbie Z. Billiot of Henderson, Tx., Stephanie Hamelman of Crothersville and Paula Ryan of Mandeville, La.; a brother, Arthur Westrem of Ohio; a sister, Joyce Hart of Illinois; and six grandchildren. The funeral was conducted on Tuesday, March 25, at the Adams Funeral Home in Crothersville. The Rev. Ferril Davis officiated. A graveside service following cremation was conducted on Wednesday, March 26, at Mossett Cemetery in Milton. Memorial gifts may be arranged through the staff of the funeral home to benefit the Mossett Cemetery Fund.

U.S. NAVY ENSIGN JASON ALLEN PROFITT, 22, Norfolk, Va., died on Saturday, March 22. A native of Hodgensville, Ky., he was a retired filling station owner, having operated the Chevron in Seymour. He was also a former Yellow Cab driver in Louisville, Ky. He attended the Crothersville United Methodist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Joyce Puckett of Clarksville, Susan Murphy of Crothersville, Ann Dickerson of Westerville, Ohio, and Jackie Walker of Seymour; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted on Tuesday, March 25, at the Stewart Funeral Home in Scottsburg. Pastor John Adams officiated. Memorial gifts may be arranged through the staff of the funeral home to benefit Hospice of Bartholomew County or Hospice of Jackson County.

JEAN E. CRITTENDON, 47, Haddix, Ky., died on Thursday, March 20, at his home. Born in Salem, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a graduate of ITT drafting school in Louisville. He was employed as a truck driver. Survivors include a son, Brandon Oakley of Greenwood, S.C.; a daughter, Heather Harvley of Greenwood, S.C.; his mother, Betty Jean Oakley of West Baden; three sisters, Paula Jones of Scottsburg, Brenda Grimes of Paoli and Karen Forbes of Jasper; and two grandchildren. The funeral was conducted on Sunday, March 23, at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli. Bro. Harvey McAdams officiated. Burial was in Paoli Community Cemetery.

MABEL A. HOEVENER, 93, Seymour, died on Friday, February 28, at Memorial Hospital in Seymour. Born in Tampico, she was formerly of Crothersville and had worked at both Morgan Foods Inc. in Austin and the old Brannaman Restaurant at Freeman Field in Seymour. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sauers. Survivors include a daughter, Lois J. Herndon of Seymour; a sister, Mildred Wehrkamp of Seymour; a brother, Roy Hoevener of Brownstown; and two grandsons. The funeral was conducted on Monday, March 3, at her church. The Rev. Craig Mulbach officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorial gifts may be arranged through the staff of the Adams Funeral Home in Crothersville to benefit St. John Lutheran Church.
