Roy E. Holley, 76
An electronics repairman for stores in Bluffton over many years and retired in 1982 from Corning Glass after 19 years in that Bluffton plant, Roy E. Holley, 76, of 231 North Bond St., Bluffton, born May 6, 1928, in Huntington County to Floyd R. and Ola O. Melling Holley. His marriage was on May 11, 1948, in Muncie to Reba M. Dolby, who preceded him in death on Dec. 4, 2000.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jeff (Sharon) Bennett of Poneto; two sons, Gary L. and Ron Holley, both of Bluffton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Raymond and Robert Holley; a sister, Mary Louise Denton, and a grandson.
Calling will be form 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thoma-Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday with Rev. Russell Buzzard and Rev. Walter Graeflin officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County. Military honors will be performed by American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton at the cemetery.

Frieda L. Neuenschwander, 88
Following a brief illness, Frieda L. Neuenschwander, 88, a sister of Paul Meyer of Ossian, born July 29, 1915, in Wells County to Edward and Flonie Crist Meyer. Her marriage was on Nov. 1, 1934, to Kenneth Neuenschwander, who preceded her in death on June 28, 1988.
A homemaker, she, along with her husband, owned and operated Willshire Hardware and State Line LP for many years up to retirement in 1979. She was a member of the Bible Believers Fellowship of Lima, Ohio.
Surviving, in addition to the Ossian brother, are a daughter, Mrs. Winston (Vicki) Lehman of Geneva; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were one brother, Max Meyer, and three sisters, Virginia Meyer, Evelyn Grandlienard and Hazel Gilliom.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home at Decatur, where services will be at10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Jeff Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery. Memorials to Bible Believers Fellowship Mission Fund or Gideon Bibles.
Ralph N. Allen, 92
Father of Mrs. David (Charlotte) Hissong of Ossian, Rev. Ralph N. Allen, 92, born July 11, 1911, in Longville, Minnesota, to Dr. Archibald and Bertie Sanders Allen. His marriage was on Oct. 23, 1933, to Elizabeth Cale, who preceded him in death on July 30, 1992.
Surviving, in addition to the Ossian daughter, are a foster daughter, Esther Patrick of Vicksburg, Michigan; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A son and grandson are deceased.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at the Bluffton First Church of the Nazarene.There will be no visitation.

Born April 2, 1916 to Lee and Rachel Young Lindsey, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
She retired from Berco in Berne in 1979 and enjoyed quilting.
Calling at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva, will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Burial will be at Willard Cemetery in Berne.

Carl Harris, 72
Carl S. Harris, 72, a former resident of Fort Wayne, died Feb. 4, 2004.
A graduate of Warren High School, Mr. Harris worked at Dana Corporation in Fort Wayne as a processing engineer and was also a licensed pilot. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
Survivors include two daughters, Denise McIntire of Warren and Rhonda Grable of Big Lake; a sister, Beatrice Crumm of Warsaw; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gale Harris.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Glancy Funeral Home, H. Brown & Son Chapel in Warren, and for one hour prior to the service, which will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Tim Grable officiating.

Karen Martin, 61
Karen Sue Martin, 61, of rural Van Buren (Jackson Township, Wells County), died Aug. 18, 1986.
A 1961 graduate of Roanoke High School, she worked at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren as a Certified Nursing Assistant on third shift for 29 years. She was also a former beautician and formerly attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Brockhaus of Warren and Patty Martin of Van Buren; two sons, Jerry Martin, Jr. and Danny Martin, both of Van Buren; a brother, DeWayne Merckx of Mishawaka; two sisters, Diane Smith of Warren and Patty Merckx of Huntington; and three grandchildren.
Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Glancy Funeral Home, H. Brown & Son Chapel in Warren, with services there Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.

H. Jeanette Moran, 82, of Huntington, died June 19 in Cape Coral, Fla. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Dale Porter of Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Porter is the former Judy Markley. She is survived by three daughters; a granddaughter; her parents; two sisters and two brothers.
A memorial service was held in the chapel of the Coral Ridge Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday with Rev. Jack Littlefield presiding at Glancy Funeral Homes-Walker Chapel in Montpelier for Gary E. Bonifield II, 34, of Montpelier. Mr. Bonifield died at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2004, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Ayers also sold insurance and generators in his versatile career after retirement from farming. He was a longstanding member of the Bluffton First United Methodist Church, where he served on the board of trustees and other boards and ushered regularly over the years.
Mr. Ayers was died in 2004.
Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m.Tuesday at Thoma /Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home and at the church Wednesday for an hour prior to the service. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m.Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Bluffton, with Rev. Gary Lewis officiating. Betty O. Guldice, 74
Betty O.Guldice, 74, formerly of Leesburg, born Nov. 18, 1929, in Montpelier to Wesley and Lenah Brinneman Hawk. Her marriage was on June 25, 1965, in Bluffton to Carl W.Guldice, who preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2001.
She was employed formerly at Heaters Engineering. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Michael Guldice of Huntington; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Vera) Moore of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Jack (Esther) Elkins of Montpelier, and three grandchildren. A brother, Gene Hawk, is deceased.
Calling will be Sunday from 3 p.m.to 5 p.m. at St. Anne’s Home, 1900 Randalia, Fort Wayne, and Monday from 12 noon until the time of service at Goodwin Memorial Chapel. The service will be at 2 p.m.with Rev.James Poling officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Donald F. Dale, 69
A former employee of Corning Glass Works, Donald F. Dale, 69, of Craigville died unexpectedly at 1:40 p.m. Friday, July 16 at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born on Aug. 5, 1941 to Robert and Geneva Risinger Lafever Eltzroth, he had retired as manager of Fort Wayne Pools. He attended elementary school in Montpelier and was a graduate of Fort Wayne Central High School. He also served as a volunteer at the Fort Wayne Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include his companion, Edith Hannan of Fort Wayne, and an aunt, Leone Michaels of Montpelier.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Glancy Funeral Home, Walker Chapel in Montpelier, with calling two hours prior. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Montpelier.
Chester D. Haines, 65
The son of Ella Mae Haines of Bluffton, Chester D. Haines, 65, of Waterloo, died Sunday, July 18, at Lutheran Hospital.
Born March 29, 1915 in Huntington to Franklin Jesse and Estella Elijah Briggs Wolverton, her marriage on June 23, 1935 was to Charles F. Owens who preceded her in death in 1972.
She was formerly employed by Kastner’s Market, Our Sunday Visitor and Hunckler Products, all of Huntington. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.
In addition to the sister in Bluffton, other survivors include a daughter, Charlene Wirtner of Fort Wayne; three sons, James R. Owens of Shinglesprings, Calif., and Timothy F. Owens and Chuck E. Owens, both of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a great grandchild.
Calling will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home in Huntington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntington with Father Gary Sigler presiding. Calling will also be at the church for one hour prior to services.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Huntington.

Robert J. Otto IV, 13, of 11080 North State Road 1, Ossian, born Dec. 30, 1990 in Wells County to Robert J. Otto III and Gina Christy Vinci.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Robert and Lora Otto of Ossian; his mother and stepfather, Gina Vinci of Indianapolis and Vincent Vinci, stationed in Korea with the U.S. Army; one brother, David Vinci of Indianapolis; two sisters, Becca and Angela Vinci of Indianapolis; grandparents Robert Jr. and Audrey Otto of Indianapolis, Michael and Sonja Kelly of Berne, Bernadette and Ronald Reisinger of Fort Wayne, John and Susan Graves of Brownsville, Indiana, Kent Christy of Indianapolis and Stephen Deuser of Carmel, and great-grandparents Robert Sr. and Rose Otto of Crystal Falls, Mich., Bryce and Deloris Christy of Berne, Jack and Betty Stahley of Portland and Cedric and Margaret McAbee of Portland.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home in Decatur with Scriptural wake at 8 p.m.
A prayer service Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home will be followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church in Geneva with Father Dominique Carboneau officiating.
