Bernice M. Hudson
August 28, 1929 - February 6, 2006
Bernice M. Hudson, 76, of Logansport (formerly of Winamac), died Feb. 6 at Chase Center, Logansport. She was born Aug. 28, 1929 in Ripley, W.V. and was the daughter of Irvin and Opal (Burdett) Guthrie. On January 8, 1948, in Ripley W.V., she married Paul Hudson. He died Feb. 21, 2001.
Bernice was a member of the Star City United Methodist Church. She was a Qualified Medical Assistant at the Winamac Nursing Home for 20 years, and also in Florida for a total of over 30 years. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and playing bingo.
She is survived by: two daughters, Judy Carol Hudson of Logansport and Linda Sue Hudson of Indianapolis, two sons, Michael Paul Hudson and Irvin L. Hudson, both of Logansport. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband Paul Hudson, a daughter Lena Hudson, a son Jerry G. Hudson and a sister Erline Mitchell.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 10 at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Rev. Glen Meyers officiating. Burial took place in the Star City West Cemetery.
Edna M. Stoll
July 1, 1920 - February 7, 2006
Edna M. Stoll, 85, of Winamac, died Feb. 7 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac. She was born July 1, 1920 in Royal Center to Harley and Floradell (Malott) Button.
On Oct. 13, 1937 in Winamac she married Emmett L. Stoll. He survives.
Edna was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers in Winamac. She also belonged to the Pulaski Co. Democrat Women's Club and Pulaski Human Services. She had volunteered at Pulaski Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Stoll had formerly owned the Tall Sycamore Campground in Logansport. She had also managed and supervised the kitchen at Pulaski Memorial Hospital. She loved to garden and care for her flowers. Funeral services were held, Feb. 11 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac, with Father John Mencsik officiating. Burial took place in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.
Frain Mortuary in Winamac was in charge of arrangements.

Thelma Charlotte Link
March 28, 1915 - February 13, 2006
Thelma Charlotte Link, 90, of Winamac, died Feb. 13 at Starke Memorial Hospital in Knox. She was born March 28, 1915 in Star City to Curtis and Laura (Boyer) Belcher.
On Feb. 19, 1947 in Denham, she married Richard Link. He died Feb. 25, 1989.
Thelma managed Binkley Real Estate in Winamac for many years and was a lifetime resident of Pulaski County. She was a life member of Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, where she served as president. She was also an active member and past president of the Hospital Auxiliary of the Midwest, and she served several years on the Pulaski Memorial Hospital Foundation Board.
Mrs. Link was a member of the Star City United Methodist Church and was a former Sunday School Teacher. She was also a former member of the Flying Farmers. Thelma was the first woman pilot to fly an airplane solo from the Cass County Airport in Logansport.
Survivors include: a brother Clyde Belcher of Logansport, four nephews Alan [Janet] Belcher of Marion, Donald [Mary Sue] Link and Larry [Marsha] Link, both of Winamac and Bill [Vera] Ward of Valparaiso, two nieces, Sandra Kimmey of Knightstown and Jean [Robert] Gerlach of Greenwood, as well as several great nieces and nephews. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Richard, a sister Altha Crim, and a brother Orla Belcher.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 17 at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Rev. Kevin Marsh officiating. Burial took place in the Star City West Cemetery, located in Star City.
Frain Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac or to the Star City United Methodist Church.
Dorothy Bernice Spraggins
December 31, 1907 - February 13, 2006
Dorothy Bernice Spraggins of Winamac died Feb. 13 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 31, 1907 in Clinton, Ill. to Mose and Nellie Catherine (Campbell) Reynolds.
On May 26, 1951 in Angola, she married Jesse James Spraggins, he died July 25, 1975.
Dorothy was a former member of the First Christian Church in Winamac. She was a former reporter for the Winamac Republican newspaper and for newspapers in Rochester, Washington, Oklahoma and Ohio. She loved birds and dogs.
Survivors include: a nephew Joe [Ruth] Reynolds of Winamac, two nieces Norma Reynolds of Markle, and Nancy Reynolds of Marion, a sister-in-law Betty Reynolds of Winamac, also several great-nieces and nephews and a special friend, Jay [Mary Lois] Kopkey of Winamac. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Reynolds.
Private graveside Services were held Feb. 15 with Rev. Glen Meyers officiating. Burial took place in the Star City West Cemetery.
Frain Mortuary in Winamac was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church in Winamac.
Daniel W. Gutherie
November 17, 1976 - February 11, 2006
Daniel W. Gutherie of 1011 North Street, Logansport (formerly of Winamac), died Feb. 11 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital in Carmel. He was born Nov. 17, 1976 in Plymouth to Wayne and Burma Doris (Whitt) Gutherie.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, with Rev. Glen Meyers officiating. Burial took place in the Winamac Cemetery.
Frain Mortuary in Winamac was in charge of arrangements.
Robert A. Tilden
September 1, 1912 - February 22, 2006
Robert A. Tilden, 93, of Winamac, died Feb. 22 at the Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac. He was born Sept. 1, 1912 in Deedsville to John Samuel and Jessie (Bradley) Tilden.
On June 10, 1932 in Otterbein, he married Myrle M. Mitchell. She died March 17, 2002.
Robert was the former owner and operator of the Kwi-Kee-Snax restaurant in Hammond. He enjoyed making home repairs and working in his yard. He also enjoyed spending the winter months in Key Largo, Fla.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharron [Paul] Kleihege of Dune Acres, two sons Bob [Irene] Tilden of Winamac and John [Elaine] Tilden of Shipshewana, also 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, a half-brother Ralph Snyder and a sister-in-law Jane [Don] Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, two brothers and one half brother.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 26 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Harold Smith officiating. Burial took place in the Memory Lane Memorial Park in Schererville.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Gertrude T. "Trudy" Adamski
March 3, 1926 - February 22, 2006
Gertrude T. "Trudy" Adamski, 79, of Winamac, died Feb. 22 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac. She was born March 3, 1926 in Chicago to John and Kazmiera (Miczynski) Pawela.
On June 15, 1947 in Cicero, Ill., she married Richard J. Adamski, who survives.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 26 at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Pastor Henry Fiske officiating. Burial took place at the McKinley Memorial Gardens in Winamac.
Memorials may be given to the Heart Fund.
James Edward Finnegan
February 27, 2006
James Edward Finnegan, 89, of 902 South Main Street, Monticello, died Feb. 27 at White County Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
Arrangements are pending at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville.
