Randall Davis
September 21, 1971 - January 10, 2007
Services for Randall Edward Davis, 35, of Kewanna , were held Monday, Jan. 15, at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel.
He died Wednesday, Jan. 10 at his residence.
Born Sept. 21, 1971 in Winamac, Indiana, He was the Son of the late Jack E. Davis and Esther M. (Collins) Davis who survives.
He was employed with Rochester Rotational Molding, Rochester.
Randy enjoyed coon hunting and was an avid sports fan, especially a Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed spending time with his children, his neice and nephews.
Surviving are his companion, Teresa B. Conner of Kewanna. Sons, Brandon and Tristan Conner, both of Kewanna and Cainan Wilson of Colorado. Daughter, Tiffany Troutman of Kewanna. Twin brother, Raymond E. Davis, and brother Rodger D. Davis, both of Winamac. Sister, Jacalyn M. (James) Galbreath of Winamac. Neice, Raychel Davis and nephews, Damen, Devon and Dakota Galbreath, all of Winamac.
Rev. William Guerin officiated the services. Burial was in Riverside Memorial Cemetery, Monterey.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Ralph M. Smith
February 17, 1921 - December 11, 2006
Ralph M. "Smitty" Smith, 85, Ellenton, Fla., died Dec. 11, 2006.
He was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Odebolt, Iowa and came to Ellenton, Fla. in 1990 from Winamac. He retired as an agent from Standard Oil Co. He was a member of the Lakes association of Colony Cove. He was a Coast Guard veteran on World War II. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane; a daughter, Jackie Scott of Kokomo; a son, Michael o Fort Wayne; a sister, Frances Lemler of Bourbon; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service was held at the Colony Cove in Ellenton, Fla. The Good Earth Crematory in Bradenton, Fla. handled arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Palmetto Hospice House, c/o TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.

Robert (Bob) Allen Curtis
February 25, 1938 - January 15, 2007
Robert (Bob) Allen Curtis, 68, of 225 Lakeview St., Culver passed away on January 15 at 8 p.m. at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on February 25, 1938 in Plymouth to Maurice and Carrie (Kring) Curtis. He was a lifetime resident of the area. He married Nancy Hott-Smith on January 11, 1979.
Bob graduated from Culver High School in 1956. He was a volunteer fireman in Culver for 20 yrs. Bob was a bricklayer and owned and operated his own trucking company. He drove for 43 years and retired from Frick Services. He was a 50 year member of the Maxinkuckee Odd Fellows Lodge.
Bob (Robbie) was blessed with five children, eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, Bob is survived by his five children: Charles Curtis, Scott [Amy] Curtis and their sons: Vance and Cameron Curtis, Shan [Doug] Farmer, Rory [Stephanie] Smith and their children: Rhiannon, Jacob, Alex, Taylor, Jeb, and Maggie and great-grandchild Mackenzie, Ryan [Jackie] Smith and children: Kristi, Keaton, and Kortney; one sister, Jean [Dave] Sisk; sister-in-law: Lois Curtis; niece Amanda Curtis; nephews Seth Curtis and Stuart Dennie; one aunt; and several cousins. Extended family included Kent and Dawn Dickey-Thomas and children: Jamie and Jenna Thomas; and Jeff and Shelli Dickey and children: Kylie, Kassie, and Karlie.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Maurice and Carrie Curtis, and a brother, Warren Curtis.
Rev. Bryan Siefert and Alfie Salary officiated services at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 511 School Street, Culver. Interment followed at Culver Masonic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Culver-Union Township Fire Dept., Maxinkuckee Odd Fellows Lodge, or the Southern Care Hospice, 310 West McKinley, 340, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver, was in charge of arrangements.

Shultz
Max Wayne Shultz, 74, 1207 W. 13th Street, Rochester, died Jan. 19, 2007 at 9:20 p.m. at the Life Care Center of Rochester.

Sean Michael Beall
July 3, 1972 - January 20, 2007
Sean Michael Beall, Lafayette, formerly of Logansport and Winamac, died January 20, 2007, at his residence in Lafayette. He was born July 3, 1972 in Logansport, the son of Michael Wayne and Vickie (Baer) Beall.
Sean had been employed for 12 years by radio station WKHY in Lafayette, where he was known as "Marley," the overnight radio personality and creative services director. He had previously been employed at WHZR radio in Logansport. A 1990 graduate of Winamac Community High School, Sean was a 1994 graduated of Indiana University in Bloomington. He enjoyed playing the guitar and music, especially the Beatles. He had an appreciation for comedy, a zany wit and a unique sense of humor.
Surviving are his father and step-mother, Rev. Michael and Kaye Beall of Muncie; mother and step-father, Vickie and Don Berry of Logansport; two brothers: Nathan Berry and Kyle Berry both of Logansport; two sisters: Rebekah Beall of Greenville, NC and Kristen Berry of Logansport; maternal grandparents, Bob and Marilyn Baer of Logansport; paternal grandmother, Agnes Kroft and her husband Robert of Logansport; step grandmothers: Betty Hughes of Palmetto, Florida, and Donna Berry of Rochester; two nieces: Bethany Berry and Maia Berry, both of Logansport. A number of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Sean was preceded in death by his grandfather, Earnest L. Beall; and niece, Lilyn Berry.
Funeral services were held at the Kroeger Funeral Home in Logansport on Thursday, January 25, with Rev. Michael W. Beall officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to any favorite charity.

Sallie Mae Mayfield, 66, Indianapolis (formerly of Monterey), died Jan. 28 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Indianapolis.

Schroeder
Raymond E. "Budd" Schroeder, 81, Francesville, died Jan. 25 at Parkview Haven Retirement Home.

Everett Monroe Fritz
January 28, 1911 - February 3, 2007
Everett Monroe Fritz, 96, 353 East 100 South, Winamac, died Feb. 3, at his residence. He was born Jan. 28, 1911 in Winamac, the son of George M. and Nellie Ruth (Stout) Fritz. On Nov. 9, 1935 in Winamac, he married Mary I. Hedges. She survives.
Everett was the owner of E. M. Fritz Construction from 1945-1976. He was a carpenter. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Winamac. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Everett was a Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes, and fishing.
Surviving along with his wife is a son, Kenneth [Linda Hartwick] Fritz of Winamac; a daughter, Connie [Dan] Vanaman of Winamac; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Torgerson Fritz of Clearwater, Fla; a brother, Paul L. 'Sat' Fritz of Winamac; 8 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George M. and Nellie Ruth (Stout) Fritz; two sisters: Elsie Buck and Edith Felker; and a son Larry Fritz.
Funeral services were held at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac on Tuesday, Feb. 6, with Rev. Glen Meyers officiating. Burial took place in the McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Society.

Morris E. Yount
October 14, 1913 - January 30, 2007
Morris E. Yount, 14203 Union Ave, Riverdale, Ill., formerly of Headlee, died Jan. 30, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island, Ill. He was born Oct. 14, 1913 in Headlee and was the son of Emil Yount.
On Nov. 27, 1947 in Royal Center, he married Violet A. Fry. She died May 15, 2005.
Morris lived in the Chicago, Ill. area since 1945, coming from the Headlee area. He retired from the Indiana Harbor Railroad where he was a car man and welder. Morris served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the VFW, and the American Legion, all of Chicago, Ill.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce A. [Thomas] Sawicki of Posen, Ill; a grandson, Mark Sawicki of Posen, Ill; and a sister, Ruth Hershberger of Muncie. He is preceded in death by his father, Emil Yount, and his wife Violet A. (Fry) Yount.
Funeral services were held at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac on Tuesday, Feb. 6, with the Rev. Steve Fritchman officiating. Burial took place in the Pro Cemetery in Star City.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
