Homer Wayne Griffey
Homer Wayne Griffey, 76, 306 E. Main St., Medaryville, died Feb. 3, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.
Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. CST on Tues., Feb. 6 at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville, and will also be one hour before the funeral service. A memorial service will be held at the Medaryville Christian Church on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. CST.

Patricia M. Conley
Aug. 23, 1951- Feb. 10, 2007
Patricia M. Conley, age 55, of Medaryville passed away Feb. 10, 2007 at her home. She was born on Aug. 23, 1951 in Rensselaer to Lottie Pauline (Pollock) Marion and Howard Roy Marion.
Pat graduated from Remington High School, Class of 1969. On Aug. 1, 1970, in Rensselaer, she married Roby Conley. She was a homemaker, but previously was employed in the cafeteria at St. Joseph College and a short time at the Rensselaer Care Center. She was a member of the Goodway Baptist Church in Medaryville.
Patricia is survived by: her father, Howard Roy Marion, Goodland; her husband, Roby Conley of Medaryville; a daughter, Mable [Frank] Goodwin of Lynn; a son, Perry Dean Conley of Rensselaer; and seven grandchildren: Coty, Candice, Alexis, Allen, Bridget, Billy, Jessey.
Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Lottie Pauline Marion nee Pollock.
The family will received friends at the Goodway Baptist Church in Medaryville on Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 2 to 8 p.m. EST. Funeral sservices will be held Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. EST at the Goodway Baptist Church in Medaryville with Pastors James Rowe and Ernest Rowe officiating. Interment will follow at Fair Oaks Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Goodway Baptist Church.

Pastor Lawrence A. Hamilton
Feb. 15, 1937-Feb. 6, 2007
Pastor Lawrence A Hamilton, 69, Rochester passed away at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at his residence near Kewanna.
Pastor Hamilton was born on Feb. 15, 1937 in LaPorte. He was the son of the late William and Matteline (Shaffer) Hamilton. On May 22, 1956 he married Delores Ann Rearick, who preceded him in death on March 30, 1995.
He served in the United States Army, 1956-1962. He was pastor of The Home Christian Church in Rochester and had formerly delivered papers for the Shopping Guide. His hobbies included bowling, gardening and fishing.
Survivors include daughters: Debra [Rick] Stroller of Monticello; Patty [William] Kemp of Homoassa, Fla., Tammy Floyd of Rochester, and Brenda [Mike] Adams of Georgia; sons: Glen Hamilton of Rochester, Sam [Sharron] Hamilton of Kokomo, Daniel [Julia] Hamilton of Argos, and Larry [Teryl] Hamilton of Florida; sisters: Louise Alsop of Shady Cove, Ore., and Marie Walls of Mishawaka; a brother, Billy Hamilton of Warsaw; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Charles Floyd.
Services were held at 11 a.m. EST, Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 at Global Harvest Church, 5110 E. 800 S., Monterey with Pastor Billy Bope officiating. Global Harvest Church is located 8 miles north of Winamac on U.S. 35.
Burial followed at Star City West Cemetery.

Paul W. Weaver
December 20, 1916 - February 11, 2007
Paul W. Weaver, 5620 E 600 N, Monterey, died Feb. 11, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac. He was born Dec. 20, 1916 in Lawton, the son of Leander and Lenora (Kuhn) Weaver.
On Feb. 5, 1940 in Pulaski, he married Rosanna T. Ortman. She survives.
Paul was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Monterey. He was also a member of the Pulaski County Farm Bureau. Paul enjoyed farming and buying and selling cars. He enjoyed time spent with his family.
Surviving along with his wife Rosanna is one son, Robert E. (Sandra) Weaver of Culver; two daughters: Debra E. Penicaro of Star City and Rosalie A. Watson of Plymouth; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters: Alvina Downey of Monticello, Mary Margaret Dilts of Menonomee, Wis, Ellen Reinholt of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Mildred Schmicker of Winamac; two brothers: Cletus of Michigan City and Albert of Star City; and one son-in-law, Charlie Sumey of Fulton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leander and Lenora (Kuhn) Weaver, a daughter, Pauline A. Sumey, and a brother, Vincent.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. CST Thursday, Feb. 15 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. A Rosary Service will be held at 3 p.m. CST. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's
Catholic Church in Monterey on Friday, Feb. 16 at 10 AM CST with Rev. Bert Woolson officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Anne's Cemetery in Monterey.

Nellie M. "Marcie" (DuBois) Williamson, 71, Logansport, died Feb. 6, at Logan Memorial Hospital.

Hewitt Edward Fairchild
April 5, 1969 - February 18, 2007
Our beloved Hewitt Edward Fairchild, age 37, a resident of Francesville, was called by our Savior on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007.
He was born April 5, 1969 in Valparaiso, the son of Roy and Judy (Ricks) Fairchild.
On Dec. 9, 1994 he married Teressa J. Rodriguez in Rensselaer. She survives.
Hewitt graduated in 1987 from River Valley High School in Three Oaks, Mich. He served in the US Army for five years and was a veteran of the Gulf War.
He was co-owner of Creative Manufacturing Solutions in Rolling Prairie, In. He started the business with his brother in 2003 after 10 years in the manufacturing field.
He liked building things like motorcycles and recreational vehicles, gardening, and the outdoors. He liked taking his daughters fishing.
Surviving, along with his wife Teressa, are three daughters: Alexandria, Victoria, and Gabriella Fairchild of Francesville; his father, Roy Fairchild Jr. of Francesville; his mother, Judy [Stan] (Ricks) Roberts of Holland, Ind.; three brothers: Darrick [Jody] Fairchild of Three Oaks, Mich., Matthew [Anna] Fairchild of Stevensville, Mich., and Brett Fairchild of Galien, Mich.; one sister, Jennifer [Lynn] Johns of Francesville; two step-sisters: Laura [Keith] Whitsitt of Huntingburg, and Traci [Gene] Mattingly of Holland, Ind.; paternal grandparents Roy and Opal Fairchild of Medaryville; and 14 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Orland Ricks and Betty Kuntz; a maternal step-grandmother, Bonnie Ricks; two aunts: Brenda Ricks and Vickie Fairchild; and an uncle, Robert Ricks.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville, and one hour before the service Thursday at the church.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. CST at Teaberry Hill Estates Church in Medaryville by the Rev. Todd Masters. Burial will take place in the Independence Cemetery in Medaryville. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.

Marilyn Kay Schultz
November 27, 1937 - February 17, 2007
Marilyn Kay Shultz 69, 340 E. 18th Street, Rochester, passed away at 12:35 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at Hickory Creek of Rochester.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1937 in Henry Township, Fulton County, the daughter of Glenn E. and Bessie N. (Thompson) Hoover. On Nov. 24, 1957 in Rochester, she married Max W. Shultz. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19.
Mrs. Shultz was a beautician and homemaker. For many years, she and her husband was co-owners of M&M RV Sales & Services and Shultz Body Shop in Rochester.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women's Blue Apple Circle, and enjoyed her rose garden and cooking.
Survivors include her daughters: Jennifer A. Shultz of Alto Pass, Ill. and Julie A. Kotterman of Rochester; a son, Kevin Shultz of Rochester; grandchildren: Kayla Shultz, Austin Kotterman, and Tanner Kotterman, all of Rochester; brothers, Denny L. [Ann] Hoover of Naples, Fla., and Kenton J. [Sharon] Hoover of Avon Park, Fla.; and a sister, Barbara Freeman of Springdale, Ark.. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home in Rochester, with the Rev. Rick Taylor officiating. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers' Foundation or to Parkinson Disease Association.
