Mary M. Shellhart
December 6, 1924 - February 15, 2007
Mary M. Shellhart, 515 E 13th Street, Winamac, died Feb. 15, at Hickory Creek in Winamac. She was born December 6, 1924, in Winamac, the daughter of Joseph Martin and Teresa (Nies) Kuhn.
On Nov. 3, 1944, in Pulaski, she married Horace "Pete" Shellhart. He died February 23, 2000.
Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Daughter's of Isabelle, Ladies of Charity, Victorian Ladies and Eagle's Lodge #2580 Auxiliary, all of Winamac. Mary was an active participant at the Pulaski Co. Human Services VonTobel Senior Center of Winamac, where she was selected as senior citizen of the year twice. She enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, reading, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include two daughters: Gloria Staples and Judy Stankus both of Winamac; five sons: Bill Shellhart and Jim Shellhart both of Star City, John [Karen] Shellhart of North Judson, Pat Shellhart of Royal Center, and Peter Shellhart of Winamac; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; five sisters: Betty Graves and Genevieve Scheffer both of Winamac, Alberta Wieand of Logansport, Cicelia Cripe of Galveston, and Virginia Cooke of Logansport; four brothers: Victor Kuhn of Largo, Fla., Norbert Kuhn of Clearwater, Fla., Joseph Kuhn of Winamac, and John Kuhn of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Martin Kuhn and Teresa (Nies) Kuhn; her husband Horace "Pete" Shellhart; one son Michael Shellhart; and two sisters.
The Rosary was recited on Friday at Frain Mortuary, followed by a Christian Mothers and Daughters of Isabelle Service. The Scriptural Wake Service was also held Friday. Funeral Mass was held at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac on Saturday, February 17, with Father Jim Miller officiating. Burial took place in the St. Peter's Cemetery in Winamac. Memorial contributions may be given to Pulaski Co. Human Services VonTobel Senior Center of Winamac.

Kenneth A. Walters, 88, Franvesville, died Feb. 16, 2007 at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville.
June Ruth Roadifer Roudebush Dahlenburg
April 15, 1928 - Feb. 23, 2007
June Ruth Roadifer Roudebush Dahlenburg, 78, of Logansport, formerly of Winamac, died Feb. 23, at her residence. She was born April 15, 1928 in Rensselaer, the daughter of Orrie Henry and Maude Edna (Hudson) Roadifer. On Jan. 29, 1970, she married Douglas P. Daulenburg. He survives.
June was a 1947 graduate of Logansport High School and she also attended Indiana University in Bloomington. She was a member of the Winamac Eastern Star and the Mother's Club of Winamac. June loved her family and her pets. She also enjoyed genealogy and gardening.
Surviving are her husband, Douglas P. Dahlenburg of Logansport; four sons: Lon [Judy] Roudebush of Royal Center, Rock Roudebush of Star City, David [Amy] Dahlenburg of Fountaintown, Mark [Trish] Dahlenburg of Lafayette; five daughters: Bryn Zellers of Winamac, Troy [Robin] Hegge of Sundance, W.Va., Linda [Walt] Branson of Ft. Wayne, Heidi [Brian] Jones of Melbourne, Fla., Mary Kay [Don] Towne of Rochester; daughter-in-law, Janeal [Terry] Tripp of Delphi; grandchildren: Mindy [Jason] Schlotman; Tabitha, Brock, Brant and Chad Roudebush; Matt [Nicole] Zellers, Kerry [Bryan] VanCoutren, Ryan Jones, Taneal [Jason] Myers; Ann, Kyle, Hannah, Micah, and Christina June Towne, Lisa and Daniel Branson; Clint, Dwayne, Diane, and Brad Dahlenburg; and Susan [Chris] Hamelman; great-grandchildren: Khloe, Karsyn, and Andrew, and Mason Dahlenburg; Keenan, Shailyn and Brenna Day; MacKenzie and Ashton VanCoutren. She was preceded in death by one son, Tad Roudebush.
Funeral services were held at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Homes, Royal Center chapel, on Tuesday, Feb. 27, with Chaplain Ken Byland officiating. Burial took place in McKinley Memorial Gardens in Winamac.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Hope Hospice of Rochester.
Eldon "Ozzie" Glen Graham Jr.
September 22, 1937- February 21, 2007
Eldon "Ozzie" Glen Graham Jr., 69 of Kewanna, passed away at 12:14 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
Born on Sept. 22, 1937 in Hammond, he was the son of the late Eldon Glen and Henrietta (Leber) Graham Sr. He married Janice Hogan March 5, 1988 in Kewanna, she survives.
He was a member of V.F.W. Post # 1121, Kewanna and F & AM of Hammond, IN. Ozzie was a 1954 graduate of Thorton Fractional High School, Calumet City, Ill. and he was a veteran of the United States Army.
Ozzie retired from Winamac Coil Spring, Kewanna where he worked as a coiler. He enjoyed boating, camping & outdoor sports. Other hobbies include working on old cars and building and flying model airplanes.
Survivors include his wife, Janice of Kewanna; a son Adam Graham of Indiana; four daughters, Kelly Graham of Indiana; Stephanie Malchow (Michael) of Rochester; Jamie Smith (Bryan Carmen) of Monticello; Wendy Smith (Jonathan Shock) of Kewanna; and a brother, Henry R. Graham (Betty) of Oklahoma; Mother and Father-in-law Florence and John Hogan of Kewanna; and several neices and nephews.
Surviving, also, is friend of the family, Bernie Hawkey who was like a son to Ozzie. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy L. Conn.
His funeral service was Saturday, February 24 at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Homes, Kewanna Chapel. Burial followed in the Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Kewanna.

Annabelle R. Wiseley
Dec. 26, 1925 - Feb. 24, 2007
Annabelle R. Wiseley, 81, Logansport, died Feb. 24, at her residence. She was born Dec. 6, 1925 in Pulaski County, the daughter of William and Ida (Tack) Staffeldt.
On Dec. 9, 1945 in Logansport, she married Ralph E. Wiseley. He died on June 15, 1992. Annabelle was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. She was a former receptionist for Joe Herd Insurance Agency.
Survivors include two sons: Douglas E. [Marcella] Wiseley of Monticello and Jeffrey W. [Sharlene] Wiseley of Star City; four grandchildren: Sarah [Richard] Smott of Westchester, Ill., Seth Wiseley of West Lafayette, Jared Wiseley and Jackson Wiseley both of New Waverly; two great-grandchildren: Carter Joseph Smott and Griffin Douglas Smott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Wiseley; two brothers: Charles Staffeldt and Harold Staffedt.
Visitation will be held at The Gundrum Funeral Home in Logansport from 4 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Funeral services will be held at The St. James Lutheran Church in Logansport on Thursday, March 1, at 10:30 A.M., with visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. Pastor Marvin Hinkle will be officiating. Burial will take place in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church, Alzheimer's Association or the Guardian Angel Hospice.
Linda Lou Brick Filas
Feb. 21, 1945 - March 6, 2007
Linda Lou Brick Filas, 16736 W. 125 N, Medaryville, died March 6 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center of Lafayette. She was born Feb. 21, 1945 in Medaryville, the daughter of Lloyd and Reva (Jones) Brick.
On June 20, 1979 in Portage, she married Marvin J. Filas. He died on March 2, 2003. Linda was raised in Medaryville and returned there 2 years ago. She formerly lived in Toledo, Ohio, and Apache Junction, Ariz. Linda was employed as a Customer Service Manager. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Medaryville. Linda was an artist and loved to paint. She was also an avid golfer.
Survivors include a daughter, Robin [Jeff] Roark of Culver; a son James [Crystal] Thomas of Toledo, Ohio; three grandsons: Brandon [Tasha] Lehman of Gilbert, Ariz., Kyle Lehman and Dakota Thomas both of Toledo, Ohio; one granddaughter, Kimberly [Adam] Schmit of Toledo, Ohio; two great-granddaughters: Mackenzie Schmit of Toledo, Ohio, and Emma Lehman (on-the-way) of Gilbert, Ariz.; two sisters: Carol Frazer of Monticello and Kaye Wireman of Medaryville; and one brother, Lloyd Brick of Medaryville. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lloyd and Reva [Jones] Brick; her husband, Marvin J. Filas; three sisters: Barbara Nelson, Claudine Taylor, and Faye Sutherlin; one brother, Jack Brick; and many very special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville on Friday, March 9, with Rev. Charles Edward Roark officiating. Burial took place in White Post Cemetery in Medaryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
Bobby E. Hounchell
August 15, 1941 - March 2, 2007
Bobby E. Hounchell, 65, 1228 E 700 S, Star City, died March 2 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 15, 1941 in Lynch, Ky., the son of Clayton Hounchell and Mary (Collette) Hounchell.
On Sept. 30, 1978 he married Estelle M. Mitchell; she survives.
Bobby was a graduate of Indiana University Kokomo. He retired from Daimler Chrysler as an inspector in April 2005 after 28 years.
Survivors include his wife, Estelle; three daughters: Charlene Aldridge of Oklahoma City, Ellen Howat of Star City, and Ane Morris of Star City; three sons: Neil [Maria] Hounchell of Loganville, Ga., Charles Hounchell of Star City, and Clayton Hounchell of Fort Campbell, Ky; five granddaughters: Sarah Aldridge, Allyssa Morgan, Sierra Hounchell, Molly Hounchell, and Victoria Morris; five grandsons: Adam Morgan, Sage Hounchell, Shane Hounchell, Danny Morris, and Britain Hounchell; two sisters: Anna Jean [Russell] Parkhurst of Kokomo and Rita [Ken] Townsend of Kokomo; and one brother, Billy [Beverly] Hounchell of Kokomo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two grandsons, Erik Aldridge and Andrew Morgan.
A Celebration of Life was held at Frain Mortuary on Saturday, March 10 at 2 p.m. CST by the Rev. Denny Wilson. Burial took place at the Star City West Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
