Joseph W. Dehority
Joseph W. Dehority, 85, of Indianapolis, formerly of Anderson, departed this April 24, 2007.
He graduated from Anderson High School, class of 1941. Served in the U.S. Army Air Corps with the 8th Air Force in England during World War II. Upon returning to Indiana he continued his employment with General Motors for 42 years. Spent some of his retirement years in Texas. Has attended the Abundant Harvest United Methodist Church for several years.
His parents, Clay and Myrtle Dehority, and a sister, Virginia Eide, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Lena Barnes Dehority of 51 years; a son, Jay Dehority; daughters: Sandra Potts, Kristy Millay and her husband, Tom; grandsons: Kris Potts, Thomas Millay and Drew Millay; a brother, Elwood Dehority; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be private and interment at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Arrangements entrusted to Crown Hill Funeral Home.
Franklin N. 'Tom' Owens
April 8, 1938 - April 24, 2007
Franklin N. 'Tom' Owens, 69, of Medaryville passed away on April 24, 2007 in Arizona. He was born on April 8, 1938, the son of Omer and Beatrice Owens.
Tom was an ironworker for Local #379, and lived in Medaryville his whole life. Tom enjoyed cutting firewood, gardening, watching television and sports.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen of Winamac; two sons: Frank [Kathy] Owens of Winamac and Shane Owens of Medaryville; four daughters: Donna [Denny] Dowty of Ariz., Janet [Frenchy] Benson of Francesville, Karen [Rick] Murphy of Wheatfield, and Shannon [Mike] Owens; four brothers: Leslie [Aldine] Owens of Wheatfield, Clem Owens of Tenn., Kevin Owens of Medaryville, Melvin [Velma] Owens of Medaryville; one sister, Betty [Joe] Joseph of Buffalo; eleven loving grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Omer and Beatrice Owens, one brother, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tues, May 1, 2007 at 11a.m. in the Leisure Time Gospel Church in Medaryville, with Pastor Buck Jackson officiating. Burial will follow services in the Independence cemetery.
Frazier Funeral Home of Medaryville is entrusted with arrangements.
Ruby L. Reinholt Davis
Aug. 19, 1920 - April 28, 2007
Ruby L. Davis, 86, of 5871 S Warrick Street, Star City, passed away at 4:05 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac.
She was born August 19, 1920, near Monterey, to Fred and Anna Peters Reinholt.
She married Thomas W. Davis on August 24, 1946 in Winamac. Thomas survives.
Ruby and Tom were blessed with four daughters: Chris [Ted] Sputh of Indianapolis, Patti [John] Grimm of Evansville, Marybeth [Ed] Cunius of West Chester, Pa., and Susie [Tom] Grumme of Indianapolis.
Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Carl Sputh, Ryan Sputh, Tom Grimm, Anna Grimm, Adam Grimm, Kyle and her husband Mike Cooney MacNeal, Kelly Cooney, Sean Cooney, Kate Grumme, and Paige Grumme; sister-in-law Pauline Reinholt of Cathedral City, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Alvin Reinholt; her mother, Anna Peters Reinholt; and brothers: Theodore, George Reinholt, Orville, Thomas, Earl, and Arthur Reinholt.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Star City West Cemetery.
Memorials maybe given to the Star City United Methodist Church building fund.

Mary Ruth Enlow, 78, DeMotte, passed away on April 24, 2007.
Alfred E. Housinger
May 13, 1924 - April 28, 2007
Alfred E. Housinger, 82, 801 Huddleston Rd., Winamac, died April 28, 2007, at the St. Vincent Hospice of Indianapolis. He was born May 13, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Alfred John and Hulda (Rost) Housinger.
On Jan. 22, 1952, in Winamac, he married Dorothy A. Fites. She survives.
Al was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was a retired town mail carrier in Winamac. Al was active in scouting programs with his sons. He was a former little league baseball coach and coached his sons though their high school years. He was instrumental in the formation of the local football program. Al and Dorothy were avid travelers and had visited all the world's continents including Antarctica. They traveled around the world more than once. Al began farming in 1955 and grew his farm operation to 2800 acres. He was an active farmer until his death. Al served in the US Navy in WWII. He served on PT Boats and was a commander of a mine sweeper at the end of the war. His ship was involved in sweeping Tokyo Harbor at the end of the war. Al enjoyed watching his grandchildren excel in local sports.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy A. (Fites) Housinger of Winamac; three sons: Don A. [Amy] Housinger of Winamac, Steven P. [Paula] Housinger of League City, Texas, and Terry A. [Mary K.] Housinger of Billings, Mont.; one step daughter, Janice [Howard] Conner of Winamac; one sister, Muriel McDonald of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Warren [Margaret] Housinger of Lansing, Ill.; ten grandchildren: Mark Conner, Jim Conner, Patrick Conner, Brian Housinger, Jeff Housinger, Lance Housinger, Alison Housinger, Lucas Housinger, Aimee Housinger, and Laura Housinger; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred John and Hulda (Rost) Housinger, and one brother, Robert. Visitation will be held at Frain Mortuary in Winamac from 4-8 PM EDT on Tuesday, May 1. Funeral services will be held also at Frain Mortuary in Winamac at 11 AM EDT on Wednesday, May 2, with Rev. Glen Meyers officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Peter's Cemetery in Winamac.

Joseph W. Dehority
March 16, 1931 - May 4, 2007
Ralph J. Fox, 76, 6155 E. Washington St, Monterey, died May 4, at Indiana Univ. Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born March 16, 1931, in Plymouth, the son of Fred and Elizabeth (Winter) Fox.
On November 17, 1956, in Monterey, he married Christine M. Penska. She survives.
Ralph served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a resident of Monterey most of his life. Ralph was a retired employee of Dean's Foods in Rochester. He worked there for 40 years and never missed a day of work the entire time. Ralph was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church of Monterey and the Knight's of Columbus of Monterey. He was a former Clerk-Treasurer and currently a member of the Town Board for the Town of Monterey. Ralph also served on the Monterey-Tippecanoe Township Library Board. He was a former member of the Monterey Lion's Club. He was the Grand Marshal for the Monterey Days Parade in 2000. Ralph was a tireless volunteer for many causes in Monterey and was instrumental in the awarding for hundred's of thousands of dollars in grant money for improvements to the community. He was known as the un-official Mayor of Monterey. Ralph will be posthumously receiving a Community Service Award from the Culver Kiwanis Club on May 7. He also liked planes, trains, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Christine M. (Penska) Fox of Monterey; four daughters: Victoria E. Fox of Vista, Calif., Ann K. [Dennis] Plummer of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Sarah J. Fox of Kokomo, and Angela [Chuck] Arnett of Destin, Fla.; two sons: Ronald J. [Thelma] Fox of Leiters Ford and Randal J. [Airetta] Fox of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; six grandsons: Khristopher Kowatch, Joshua Fox, Cory Fox, Austin Plummer, Benjamin Muller, and Ty Fox; six granddaughters: Autum Kowatch, Madyson Plummer, Elizabeth Arnett Clause, Britnie Arnett, Brandy Fox, and Katie Fox; one great-grandson, Kyle Kowatch; two sisters: Mary Ziegler of Walburg, Texas, and Rose Ann Fox Master of Monterey; and eight brothers: Clem Fox, Carl Fox, Richard Fox, and Kenneth Fox all of Plymouth, Father Thomas Fox of Remington, Lloyd Fox of Winamac, Donald Fox of Logansport, and James Fox of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Elizabeth (Winter) Fox; and three brothers: Paul Fox, Robert Fox, and Theodore Fox.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. EDT Tuesday, May 8, at Frain Mortuary. The Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday also at Frain Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Monterey on Wednesday, May 9, at 10AM EDT with Rev. Bert Woolson, Father Thomas Fox, and Msgr. Robert Sell III officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Anne's Cemetery in Monterey, with Military graveside services being conducted.
James W. Fox
Feb. 4, 1953 - April 30, 2007
James W. Fox, 54, 3155 S 100 E, Winamac, died April 30, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident in rural Pulaski County. He was born Feb. 4, 1953 to Darl A. and JoAnn (Crissinger) Fox.
On Aug. 5, 1972, in Winamac, he married Cheryl L. Dommer. She survives.
Jim was a mechanic at Superior Auto in Winamac. He had worked as a carpenter in the Winamac area and was a former maintenance man at GalFab in Winamac. Jim was a member of ABATE. He enjoyed family vacations, camping, boating, and target shooting. He was an avid Harley motorcycle rider. Jim enjoyed the outdoors and time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl L. (Dommer) Fox of Winamac; one daughter, Misty L. [Gabe] Wheeler of Star City; one son, Dustin James [Catina] Fox of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one sister, Darla J. [Jim] Davidson of Brownstown; three granddaughters: Alexis Fox, Mackenzie Wheeler, and Lacie Wheeler; two grandsons: Jayden Fox and Riley Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his parents: Darl A. and JoAnn (Crissinger) Fox.
Funeral services were held at Frain Mortuary in Winamac on Saturday, May 5, with Pastor William Daniel O'Conner officiating. Burial took place in the Mt. Zion-Franklin Township Cemetery in Winamac.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or to ABATE.
Charles R. Hein
May 4, 1938 - May 4, 2007
Charles R. Hein, 69, 5600 N 400 W, Winamac, died May 4, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac. He was born May 4, 1938 in Winamac, the son of Charles and Margaret Olive (Gerner) Hein.
On Sept 13, 1958, at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Winamac, he married Eleanor Faye Henley. She survives.
Charles was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Teamster's Local #710. He retired for United Parcel Service following over 30 years of employment. Charles liked working in the yard and keeping busy all the time. He had a special pet dog named Simba. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Faye (Henley) Hein of Winamac; three sons: Charles [Debbie] Hein of Wabash, and Paul Hein and James Hein both of Winamac; one daughter, Mary [Michael] Layton of Logansport; two granddaughters: Allison Hein of Fort Wayne and Michelle Hein of Winamac; three grandsons: Stephen Hein and David Hein both of Fort Wayne, and Zachary Layton of Logansport; one step-grandson, Jeff Spencer of Wabash; one step-great grandson Clayton Spencer of Wabash; one brother, Bill Hein of New Orleans, La.; and two sisters: Jean Becker and Roseann Ols both of Winamac. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Margaret Olive (Gerner) Hein; and four sisters: Dorothy O'Donnell, Mary Fritz, Mildred Marquand, and Ruth Dawson.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, May 9, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday also at Frain Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac on Thursday, May 10, at 11 a.m. EDT with Rev. Bert Woolson officiating. Burial will take place in the Mt. Zion-Franklin Township Cemetery in Winamac.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
