Virginia M. Rausch Koepkey
October 5, 1926 - November 5, 2005
Virginia M. Rausch Koepkey, 79 of Winamac, died Nov. 5 at Pulaski Health Care Center. She was born Oct. 5, 1926 in Minneapolis to Elliott H. and Margaret A. (Lenzner) Brady.
On Aug. 30, 1947, in Pulaski, she married George Rausch who died Nov. 25, 1963. She then married Wayne Koepkey on Dec. 31, 1987, he died July 5, 2001.
Virginia was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac, Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of Charity, Eagles Auxillary and Twilight Twenty Home Ec Club, also in Winamac. She loved the outdoors and her flowers. She moved to the Winamac area from Chicago at age 10.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Margaret [Jerry] Grube of Rochester, and Kathryn L. Rausch of Winamac, seven sons, Gerald Michael [Jane] Rausch, George J. [Cheryl] Rausch Jr., Raymond [Pamela] Rausch, Thomas E. [Barb] Rausch all of Winamac, Ronald L. [Debbie] Rausch of Carthage, Andrew J. [Cathy] Rausch of Rochester, and Gregory J. Rausch of Logansport. Virginia had 35 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving are a step-daughter Lenora [Marlin] Yoder of Sarasota, Fla., two step-sons James [Virginia] Koepkey of Venice, Fla., and Charles [Melanie] Koepkey of Winamac and two sisters, Juan M. Knarr and Bonita L. Rausch both of Winamac. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Brady and Franklin Brady, a grandson, Abram Rausch and a stepson, Paul [Cindy] Koepkey.
Funeral services were held Nov. 8 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac, with Father John Mencsik officiating. Burial took place in St. Peter's Cemetery in Winamac.
Frain Mortuary were in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the PARC Center in Winamac.

Stephen Walter Doty
November 6, 1948 - November 6, 2005
Stephen Walter Doty, 57, of North Judson, died Nov. 6 at Hines Veterans Medical Center, Hines, Ill. He was born Nov. 6, 1948 to Frank and Edna Mae (Howard) Doty.
Stephen was a member of the American Legion Post in North Judson. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He loved spending time with his family. He served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam, where he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
He is survived by his father, Frank Doty of Winamac, three daughters, Rina Tolson of Jackson, Ky., Justine May Doty and Olivia C. Doty, both of North Judson, two sons, Stephen W. Doty Jr., of Kentucky and Martin J. Fossoth of Hobart. Also surviving are three sisters, Carolyn Sue Arnett of Winamac, Patty Ann McQuinn of Webster, Fla., Ginger Lee Reichenbach of Elizabeth, and several nieces and nephews. Cindy Arndt, a special friend, and Darlene Sue Elizondo, his former wife, both of North Judson, also survive. He was preceded in death by a son, David M. Doty.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. at Living Water Church, located at CR 500S and CR 300E in Knox with Pastor Sterling Patrick officiating. Burial will take place in the Reed Cemetery in Winamac.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m., Thursday at the Church.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion and the VFW.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Frain Mortuary is in charge of Arrangements.

Herbert E. Galbreath
March 28, 1922 - November 13, 2005
Herbert E. Galbreath, 83, 2438 E. 1000 S., Royal Center, died November 13, 2005 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport. He was born March 28, 1922 in Star City and was the son of Marion Lewis and Bertha (Hummel) Galbreath.
On November 15, 1953, in Winamac, he married Estelle Mitrus; she survives.
Herbert was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac. He was a retired farmer and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post #71 and VFW Post #1728 both in Winamac. Mr. Galbreath was a member of the Board of Director's of the Farmer's Grain and Supply in Thornhope, and was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Pulaski-White Rural Telephone Cooperative.
Mr. Galbreath is survived by his wife Estelle of Royal Center; a daughter, Sharon [Jack] Mellor of Downers Grove, Ill.; and a son, Herbert L. [Donna] Galbreath of Royal Center; and three grandchildren: Jessica, Ashley, and Megan Galbreath, all of Royal Center. Also surviving is a sister, Veneda Hoesel of Winamac.
Funeral services will be held at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m., with Father John Mencsik officiating. Burial will take place following services at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, located in Winamac.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2005 from 4-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. on Wednesday at Frain Mortuary.

Ellen Jane Heater
April 29, 1926 - November 13, 2005
Ellen Jane Heater, 79, of Lakeville, died November 13, 2005 at her son's home in Lakeville. She was born on April 29, 1926 in Royal Center to Nina Grafton.
On December 29, 1947, in Kewanna, she married Francis Vincent Heater, Sr., who died June 20, 1988. She was a homemaker and a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski and had attended an Okeechobee, Fla. Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Royal Center High School.
Ellen is survived by her two sons: John [Marlene] Heater of Lakeville and Jim [Donna] Heater of Logansport; three daughters: Cathy Looker of Logansport, Mary [Dave] Doty of Monterey, and Bonnie [Jim] DeKoster of Monticello; one brother, Don Grafton of Royal Center; and one sister, Joyce Hanna of Lucerne. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Harrison-Metzger Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Greg Ratliff officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Pulaski.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 and on Thursday until time of services.

Harold J. Green Jr.
March 18, 1937 - November 10, 2005
Harold J. Green, Jr., 68, of Lafayette, (formerly of Star City) died November 10, 2005 at St. Mary's Healthcare in Lafayette. He was born March 18, 1937 in Warren County and was the son of Harold Floyd and Edith E. (Brummett) Green.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winamac, and had worked at Haywood Publishing in Lafayette, and Wilson Foods in Logansport, where he was a meat cutter, retiring when the plant closed. He had farmed most of his life. He loved his tractor, farming, his four sons, and all of his grandchildren. He lived for his family.
Surviving are four sons: Harold [Sherry] Green, Jeff Green [companion Miriam Winegardner], Barry [Misty] Green, and Rick Green all of Star City; three sisters: Betty Shephard of Fowler, Ruth [Bill] Nagle of Sarasota, Fla., and Ruby [Carl] Gwin of Linden; two brothers: Floyd [Bernice] Green of Monon, and Wilson [Faye] Green of Royal Center; and four half-sisters: Jean [Jim] Hettinger, Peggy [Bill] Hatch, Julie [Art] Johnson and Jenette[Roger] Sumey, all of Logansport. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren: Charity, Jeffery, Heather, Ashley, Brittany, Zachery, Mandy, Patricia, Jacob, Gage and Cameron, and one great grandson, Blaze. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, Johnny.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 14, 2005 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home in Lafayette with Pastor Thomas Marler officiating. Burial took place in Riverside Cemetery in Attica.

Gary J. Hanson
March 12, 1942 - November 12, 2005
Gary J. Hanson, 63, 9585 S. 300 E. Star City, died November 12, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital Center, Beech Grove, Ind. He was born March 12, 1942 in Willoughby, Ohio, and was the son of Wesner and Agnes (Kostrab) Hanson.
On December 3, 1976, in Star City, he married Melissa J. Reames; she survives.
Gary was a member of the Star City Lions Club, and Star City Volunteer Fire Department. He served as the president of the Pulaski-White Rural Telephone Cooperative. He was a former Little League baseball coach for 13 years. He was a girls' softball coach for four years. Gary owned and operated Gary's Electric Service for 35 years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors along with his wife Melissa, are six sons: Dan [Kim] Hanson of Star City, David [Michelle] Hanson of Winamac, Mark [Sabra] Hanson of Star City, Scott [Angel] Hanson of Winamac, Darrell [Angie] Fox of Winamac, and Matt [Maria] Fox of Star City; and two daughters: Angie [Jay] Thompson of Ora, and Monica [Jason] Potthoff of Winamac. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren: Nichol Hanson, Tyler Hanson, Elise Hanson, Aaron Hanson, Heather Hanson, Taylor Fox, Dillan Townsend, Dalton Granstaff, Cortney Hanson, Cassie Hanson, Abbey Hanson, Nicole Johnston, Blake Grandstaff, Parker Fox, Dalton Button, Lexi Hanson, Haley Fox, Jayden Moyer, Sydney Thompson, and a grandchild on the way; and one great-grandchild, Jordan Schmicker. Also surviving is his mother, Agnes Hanson, of Willoughby, Ohio; four sisters: Jean Fox of Willoughby, Gerry Coghill of East Lake, Ohio, Judy [Pat] McCalligan, and Helen [Marty] Germ, both of Mentor, Ohio; and a special daughter, Becky [Terry Brown] Litke of Kewanna.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac, with Father John Mencsik officiating. Burial took place in the St. Joseph Cemetery West, located in Pulaski, where the American Legion and the VFW conducted graveside services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Ronald E. Dupuy
August 28, 1936 - November 12, 2005
Ronald E. Dupuy, 69, of Bullhead City, Ariz., died November 12, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born August 28, 1936 in Galesburg, Ill. On August 30, 1958 he married his wife Roberta; she survives. Ron graduated from Galesburg Illinois High School, and from Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne. He was in Engineering Management and worked in the automotive industry in Keokuk, Iowa and Wabash, Ind. He enjoyed traveling, metal detecting, working on his computer and being with his family.
Surviving along with his wife Roberta of Bullhead City, are a daughter, Michelle [Doug] Agee of Loveland, Colo.; a son, James [Candy] Dupuy of Winamac; five grandsons: Kent [Lauren] Clippert of Kalamazoo, Mich., Anthony Clippert of Des Moines, Iowa, Derek Harris of Loveland, Colo., Cory [Megan] Dupuy of Knox, and Bradley Agee of Loveland, Colo.; and three grandchildren: Gabrielle and Abigail Dupuy of Winamac, and Heather Agee of Muncie. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsey Dupuy.
Private family graveside services will be held in Bullhead City.
Arrangements were handled by Palm Mortuary-Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Hwy., Henderson, Nevada, 89015.
