SOUTH BEND - Betty L. Montgomery, 66, of Orkney Court, died Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Survivors include her husband, Richard Sr.; a daughter, Jean Divine of Mishawaka; three sons, Richard Jr. of Mishawaka, Gregory A. of North Liberty and Brian of South Bend; a sister, Esther Robinson of South Bend; and a brother, Herman Bole of Phoenix. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in New Life Baptist Church, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.

Michael A. Peden
June 12, 1951-Jan. 15, 1998
SOUTH BEND - Michael A. Peden, 46, of North Huey Street, died at 5:10 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Survivors include his wife, Judy K. (Hayden); four daughters; two sons; his parents, Beverly and James D. Peden of Mishawaka; and two brothers, Stephen E. of South Bend and Jeffrey R. of Elkhart. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Palmer Funeral Home, where friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Rochell Powell
Feb. 16, 1921-Jan. 15, 1998
SOUTH BEND - Rochell Powell, 76, of North Adams Street, died Thursday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Ann Gray of Indianapolis; three sons, William T. and Glenn L., both of Indianapolis, and Lawrence B. of South Bend; and a brother, Tom of Chicago. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where friends may call one hour before services. Alford's Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Lyle W. Scott
March 8, 1919-Jan. 13, 1998
SOUTH BEND - Lyle W. Scott, 78, of 722 Juniper Place, died at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday following a house fire in his home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Glasgo Cemetery, Glasgo, Ill. There will be no visitation. Hanley & Sons Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Juanita C. Siri

MISHAWAKA - Juanita C. Siri, 69, of Regency Place Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, formerly of East 12th Street, died Friday in the center. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Johannes of Brookfield, Wis., and Sylvia Leek of Warsaw; a son, Linden S. of Orlando, Fla.; and three sisters, Terri Florence of Alabama, and Constance Wilson and Cecelia Schmucker, both of Mishawaka. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hahn Funeral Home, where friends may call two hours before services.

SOUTH BEND - Chester A. Staszewski, 75, of Caroline Street, died Thursday in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Survivors include his wife, Sally D. (Phillips); three daughters, Linda Kuzmicz and Pamela Wills, both of South Bend, and Ann Staszewski of Indianapolis; a son, David E. of South Bend; a sister, Margaret Zielinski of South Bend; and a brother, Hillary of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road, where a rosary will be said at 3 p.m.

MISHAWAKA - Lucille H. Stull, 86, of Fountainview Place Nursing Home, died Wednesday in the nursing home. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., South Bend. There will be no visitation.

SOUTH BEND - Bernice Wojciechowski, 88, of Kosciuszko Street, died Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Survivors include three daughters, Angela Switalski of South Bend, Helen Malicki of Dayton, Ohio, and Ann M. Mucha of Nashville, Tenn.; a son, Daniel of South Bend; and a brother, Edwin Kapsa of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Hedwig's Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a rosary will be said at 4 p.m.

MISHAWAKA - Phyllis J. Wroblewski, 68, of Locust Street, died Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. Survivors include a daughter, Christine M. Vandygriff of Osceola; and a son, Patrick J. of Valparaiso. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Monica's Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where a wake service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday.
