Walter J. Weaver, 75, of 514 S. Market St., Winamac, IN, passed away at 11:15 PM Friday, February 8, 2008 at his residence.

He was born March 22, 1932, in Star City, IN, to Simon John and Anna Link Weaver. He married Mary Ann Thompson on July 7,1952 in Winamac. Mary survives.

Walter was a 1950 Graduate of Pulaski High School. Walter was a retired farmer. He was also retired in 2003 from the Indiana Department of Transportation where he had worked as a permit inspector for the Plymouth sub-district. He had worked in the parts department of Gilsinger Implement Co. in Pulaski for 14 years. He served as the Indian Creek Republican Precinct Committeeman for 17 years. Walter served on the Pulaski White Rural Telephone Board of directors for 14 years. He loved going to auctions, antique shows and garage sales. He loved working in his garden. Walter enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family.

Catherine C. Ash, 86, of 818 N. Falvey St., Winamac, IN, passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:30AM in Miller's Merry Manor, Logansport, IN.

She was born January 16, 1922, in Redkey, IN, to Lewis and Sylvia Berrier Wandry.

She married Arthur L. Ash on Dec. 26, 1941, in Winamac, IN. He died Aug. 2, 2000.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, and the VFW Post #1728 Auxillary, both of Winamac.

She was a longtime employee of the Pulaski Co. License Branch and had also been employed at Eaton-Controls, Winamac.

She lived in Winamac most of her life.

She enjoyed playing cards, making pillow cases, dancing, working crossword puzzles, and participating in activities with her family.

Friends may call 4-8PM EDT Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Frain Mortuary.

The VFW Auxillary will conduct services at 6:30PM Thursday in the funeral home.

Harold Arthur Sutton, 71, of 601 E 800 N, Monterey, IN, passed away at 6:54 PM Friday, April 11, 2008 at 601 E 800 N in Monterey, IN.

He was born April 9, 1937, in Star City, IN, to Harold and Florence Frushour Sutton. Art married Sybil O. Craigmile on Apr. 29, 1962, in Winamac. She survives.

He graduated from Star City High School in 1956. He also graduated from Indiana Business College with an Associate Degree and attended Indiana State University. He served in the US Army in Germany from 1959-1960. Art retired from farming in 1992. He was an avid IH-Farmall tractor collector and restorer. Art was a member of Winamac Masonic Lodge #262. He served 8 years on the Eastern Pulaski Community School Board and was a Pulaski Co. Commissioner for 4 years. Art served as a Pulaski County Councilman for 3 years. He developed the Pulaski County Rural Address System. He directed the system's implementation and monitored it for two years. Governor Mitch Daniels recently awarded Art the Sagamore of the Wabash. The presentation was made by State Senator Tom Weatherwax.

Art was a member of the Winamac Presbyterian Church and served on the Church Board and Property and Personnel Committees. He served on the Pulaski County Human Services Board of Directors, the Pulaski County Drainage Board and the CDC Board.

Arts most prized possesions include his family and countless friendships. Art would extend a helping hand to anyone. He enjoyed talking with friends at the coffee shop.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM EDT Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in First Presbyterian Church, Winamac, with Marcia Cline officiating. Burial will take place in the Star City West Cemetery located at Star City, IN

Friends may call 3-8 PM EDT Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Frain Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Masonic Services will be held at 7 PM EDT on Tuesday at the funeral home

Mary Frances Wolter, 78, of 502 West Jackson Street, Mulberry, IN, passed away at 10:45 AM Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Center in Mulberry, IN.

She was born September 20, 1929, in Lafayette, IN, to Clinton and Julia Wright Marshall.

Mary was a lifetime resident of Lafayette, IN. She married Robert Carl Wolter on May 29, 1952 in Lafayette, IN. Robert died on June 24, 1984. Mary had been a dance instructor for the Arthur Murray School of Dance in her younger years. She was a longtime sales clerk for the New Concept Book Store in Lafayette, IN. Mary was an avid collector and attended many trade shows in Las Vegas, NV.

Loraine K. Geyer, 51, of 255 Park Ave., Francesville, IN, passed away at 9:50 AM Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare in Monticello, IN.

She was born November 24, 1956, in Monticello, IN, to Arthur and Roberta Houston Geyer.

Loraine was a member of the Indiana Pharmacy and the Arizona Pharmacy Associations and the John Purdue Club. She was also a member of the Purdue Alumni Association. She graduated from West Central High School in 1974 and received a pharmacy degree from Purdue University in 1979. She worked for Hooks Pharmacy, Fagen Pharmacy and Walgreens Pharmacy in Indiana and Walgreens Pharmacy in Arizona. Loraine enjoyed attending horse shows and attending sporting events. She enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family. Loraine was an avid fan of Purdue Womens Basketball. She supported Lupus awareness and research.
