Homer L. Crable

Homer L. Crable, 86 of 7444 Storm St., Leiters Ford, Indiana, died at 11:19 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2000 at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester, Indiana, after a long illness.
Homer was born to Roy Crable and Emma Lavenia on October 22, 1913 in Topeka, Kansas. He was married on March 15, 1935 at Osage, Kansas to Helen Wright.
Homer is survived by two sons, Butch Crable of Wichita, Kansas, Donnie Crable of Wichita, Kansas, four daughters, Ruth A. (Leroy) Karn of Leiters Ford, Indiana, Delores J. (Gordon) Padfield of Santa Ana, California, Janice Crable of Beaumont, Texas, Carol (Jim) Ruth of Kansas City, Missouri, 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Crable, one son, father, Roy Crable, mother, Emma Crable, two brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation was from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2000 at Bonine Funeral Home. Rev. Floyd G. Allen officiated the service which took place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2000 at Bonine Funeral Home, Culver. Interment followed at the Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Leiters Ford, Indiana.
Susanna V. Strobel
August 5, 1904 - February 10, 2000
Susanna V. Strobel, 95, of 5349 Clarabella Road, Clare, Michigan, died Thursday, February 10, 2000 at 7:08 a.m. in Clare.
Susanna was born August 5, 1904 in Berwyn, Illinois to Fredrick and Katherin Torde. They preceded her in death. On November 23, 1927, Susanna married Joseph Strobel in Berwyn, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1990. A retired seamstress of Hart-Schattner & Marx in Rochester, Susanna was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Culver. In 1994 she moved from Culver to Clare, Michigan.
Survivors include one son, Donald J. Strobel of Clare, Michigan; two daughters, Phyllis (Raymond) Jagielo of Almond, Wisconsin and Dolores Englebrecht of Leiters Ford; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey M. Hartle, and one grandchild.
Visitation was held Sunday, February 13, 2000 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Bonine Funeral Home. Funeral services was Monday, February 14, 2000 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Lake Church in Culver with the Rev. Jeffery Largent officiating. Burial followed in the Culver Masonic Cemetery.
Harold M. Mahler
July 20, 1921 - October 18, 2002
Harold M. Mahler, 81, of 1013 Pennsylvania Avenue, Plymouth, Indiana, died at 11:45AM on Friday, October 18, 2002, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, Indiana.
Harold was born on July 20, 1921 to Melvin E. and Abbie (Guise) Mahler at Delong, Indiana. He was married on November 9, 1944 in Australia to Norma E. Thompson. She survives.
Harold is also survived by his loving family - sons: Melvin (Carole) Mahler of Plymouth, Indiana and Allan (Ann) Mahler of Seminole, Oklahoma; daughter: Catherine (William) Ruhling of Ambler, Pennsylvania; granddaughters: Jacqueline Good of Mishawaka, Indiana and Cristina Mahler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and grandson: James Mahler of Plymouth, Indiana.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, October 21, 2002, from 2:00 - 8:00PM at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Rev. Dorothy Jones will officiate services on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at 11:00AM at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Interment will follow at Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Marshall County Hospice.
Marie Clopton
September 12, 1926 - January 21, 2000
Marie Clopton, 73, of 9975 W. 700 N., Delong, IN, died at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2000 at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester, IN. She was born in Chicago, IL to Marion and Eva (Davis) Warren. She lived in the Culver area since 1967 coming from Chicago. Marie married John Clopton during the summer of 1973 at Rochester, IN.
Marie is survived by her husband John Clopton, a sister Eva Mae Rodgers of Kalamazoo, MI, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one son and one brother.
Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, January 26, 2000, with the funeral service starting at 12:00 noon. A committal service took place directly after the service at the IOOF Cemetery in Leiters Ford, IN.
Warren L. Myers, Sr.
October 1, 1915 - January 20, 2000
Warren L. Myers, Sr., 17790 14th Road, Culver, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2000 at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth, Indiana.
Mr. Myers was born in Ober, Indiana, on October 1, 1915. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Edna (Emigh) Myers.
Mr. Myers was a lifetime resident of the Culver area. On June 6, 1939, he married Hazel Fisher in Knox, Indiana. She preceded him in death on January 10, 1992. He is survived by two sons, George Myers of Plymouth, IN, Warren L. Myers, Jr. of Germany, Two daughters, Joyce A. Wilson of Culver, Karen Sue (William) Ronk of Plymouth, IN, a brother Vernon Myers of Lake City, Florida and a sister Pauline (Pat) Segelstrom of LaPorte, IN, 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation was on Saturday, January 22, 2000 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at Bonine Funeral Home. The funeral service took place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23 at Bonine Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Vardaman officiated the services. Interment was at the Burr Oak Cemetery directly after the service. Memorial Contributions may be sent to the donor's choice.
Ronald R. Mackey
October 14, 1923 - January 4, 2000
Ronald R. Mackey, 76, of 18205 West Shore Circle, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2000 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Plymouth Campus, in Plymouth, IN.
Mr. Mackey was born in Bicknell, Indiana, on October 14, 1923. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Hazel Page Mackey.
On October 28, 1945, he married Ruth Mattox, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Carol Lyn Ewing of Indianaplis, IN, three sons, Dr. Richard (Diane) Mackey of DuBois, PA., Dennis (Stephanie) Mackey of Zionsville, IN., Donald Mackey of Culver, IN.; two grandsons, Matthew Ewing and Stephen Mackey; and by three granddaughters, Jenna Mackey, Nicole Mackey, and Amy Van der Vliet.
Mr. Mackey served his country in World War II, spending 14 months in a German prison camp. He later was employed as a rural mail carrier for 30 years. At retirement in 1982, he and his wife opened The Collectors, an antique business in the town of Culver.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Culver EMS.
Donald G. Davis

Donald G. Davis os 520 Liberty Street, Culver, Indiana, died at 7:00PM on April 21, 2001in Culver, Indiana.
Donald was born to Harold Davis and Blanche Bender on December 26, 1931 in Culver, Indiana. He was married on March 24, 1956, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to E. Jane Hawk. She survives.
Donald is also survived by one son: Gregory (Gaile) Davis of Rochester, Indiana; one daughter: Martha (Beckham) Miller of Ottumwa, Iowa; three step-brothers: Virgil Albert of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Vaughn Albert of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Vance Albert of Hibbard, Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 23, 2001 from 2:00 - 8:00PM at Bonine Funeral Home. Reverend Matthew Moser will officiate services on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at the First Baptist Church of Plymouth in Plymouth, Indiana. Interment will follow at Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver, Indiana. Veteran graveside rites will be given at the cemetery.
