Grady Daniel Holly Sr., 91
Born Nov. 5, 1907, in Scottsboro, Ala., he was the son of Henry Felix and Mary Jane (Davis) Holly. He married Evalyn Adams Holly on Feb. 19, 1940, and she survives.
He was a Nazarene minister all of his life. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Tampa, Fla. He was a member of the Caribbean Missionary Society.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Grail Holly of Tampa; one son, Grady D. Holly Jr. of Ila, Ga.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Union Flatrock Cemetery near Osgood.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements were made by Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood.
Memorial contributions may be made to Union Flatrock Cemetery through the funeral home.
Jonathan Michael Fox, 2 days
Born Feb. 22, 2000, in Columbus, he was the son of Michael and Kelly Fox, and they survive.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Stacy Kristine Fox of Columbus; and four grandparents, Ronald Cope of Rockville, Julia Grange of Clinton, and Raymond and John Fox of Marshall.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Marshall, with the Rev. Don Perry officiating.
Funeral arrangements were made by Rice Funeral Home in Marshall.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
Devera Ann Stevenson, 67
She married John Stevenson, and he survives. She was a registered dietitian with a bachelor's degree from Notre Dame College of Ohio and a master's degree from Michigan State University.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father, Garrett Moore of Sandusky, Ohio; one sister, Jeanne Aust of Toledo, Ohio; one brother, Pete Moore of Stongsville, Ohio; 10 children, Gerianne (Mrs. Mark) Stohlquist of Chicago, Linda Stevenson of Elkhart, John Stevenson of Lansing, Mich., Julie (Mrs. Dave) DiMatteo of Hamburg, N.Y., Nancy (Mrs. Mike) Barrett of Coldwater, Mich., Kathleen (Mrs. Rick) Bryan of Norton, Mass., Laura (Mrs. Tom) O'Brien of Lombard, Ill., David Stevenson of Elmhurst, Ill., Dan Stevenson of Cincinnati, and Jeffrey Stevenson of Omaha, Neb.; and 31 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Ignatius in Luther, Mich.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac, Mich.

Charles J. DeWeese, 67
Born Feb. 2, 1933, in Glasgow, Ky., he was the son of William Paul and Myrtle Lee (Arnold) DeWeese, and his mother survives in Greensburg.
He was employed at Al Reynolds for 23 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Chris DeWeese; one grandson; and several aunts and uncles.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald DeWeese and Russell DeWeese.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg, with the Rev. Michael Lavender officiating.
Burial will be at Hebron Cemetery in Adams.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Robert "Bud" Edward Scott, 68
Born June 28, 1931, in Greenville, Tenn., he was the son of Fannie (Tillson) Scott.
He was manager of a petroleum station in Montrose, Colo.
He is survived by one son, Mike Scott of Montrose, Colo.; one daughter, Julie (Mrs. Robert) O'Dell of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister, Thelma Meadows of Greensburg; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jim Scott; one brother, Raymond Scott; and one sister, Norma Scott.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Seventh-Day Adventist in Montrose, Colo., with the Pastor Lloyd Austin officiating.
Burial will be at Grand View Cemetery in Montrose, Colo.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Betty A. Melander, 78
Born January 15, 1922, in Rushville, she was the daughter of Epson Singleton and Bertha Holderman. She married Howard Melander, and he survives.
Mrs. Melander was an executive secretary at Sinclair Glass Company in Hartford City for eight years, retiring in 1986. She helped to form Sampler Furniture Company in Homer in 1945. She was a member of the Research Club of Hartford City and Paul Harris Fellow.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, David L. Melander of Avon and Nicholas Howard Melander of Yorktown; two brothers, Nicholas Singleton of Rushville and David Singleton of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; four grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hope United Presbyterian Church in Plainfield, with the Rev. Ann Pitman Runnion and the Rev. Kevin Boyd officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope United Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or First Presbyterian Church in Hartford City.
Conkle Funeral Home, Hendricks County Chapel, in Avon is in charge of arrangements.
Marjorie L. Dickson, 77
On June 4, 1941, she married Orville Dickson; he survives.
She lived in Rush County her entire life. She was a housewife and was a member of the Plum Creek Christian Church.
Survivors include four sons, David A. Dickson and William Dickson (both of Rushville), Ronald Dickson of Greensburg and Bruce Dickson of Lebanon; one daughter, Ellen (Mrs. Robert) Herbert of Indianapolis; three brothers, Larry Lee of Cowan, Lewis Lee of Rushville, and Robert Lee of Connersville; three sisters, Betty (Mrs. Ted) Eveland, Mildred Whittaker, and Juanita Cleland (all of Rushville); 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall and Eugene Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will take place at the East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
Bonnie Smith McCauley, 74
She is survived by husband, Frank S. McCauley of Greensburg, as well as six children, 10 grandchildren, and sister, Bettie Howard, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service for the immediate family will be held Tuesday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Burial will take place at the East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.
Ronald Edwin Waggoner, 64
Born Oct. 23, 1935, in Etna Green, Ind., he was the son of Paul and Eva (Miller) Waggoner.
On Nov. 25, 1955, he married Roberta L. Sparrow; she preceded him in death. On June 14, 1987, he married Shirley Roxine Earnest; she survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and also worked at RR Donnelly's for 34 years, retiring in 1992.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Leisa Waggoner of Indianapolis, Senita Summe of Warsaw, and Rhonda Doucette of Houston, Texas; a son, Allan Waggoner of Syracuse; two stepdaughters, Sharon Gosnell of Leesburg and Karen Ogden of Rushville; a stepson, Scott Edwards of Warsaw; a sister, Dorla Miller of Warsaw; two brothers, Don Waggoner of Etna Green and Larry Waggoner of Perryville, Md.; 24 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Warsaw. Burial will take place at the Etna Green Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw.
Memorial contributions are requested to the First Christian Church building fund.
Elizabeth Ellen Reynolds, 79
Born May 2, 1920, in Kirksville, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Harold and Gladys Catherine (Frankford) Harkey.
She was a homemaker for the past 60 years.
Survivors include a son, Warren Reynolds of Palm Springs, Calif.; a brother, James H. Harkey of Independence, Mo.
Private services are being arranged by the Palm Springs Mortuary at Cathedral City, Calif.
Burial will take place at the Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville, Mo.
Lana Jo Huskey, 28, Osgood, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Born June 11, 1973 in Lawrenceburg, she was the daughter of Ronald Spurlock of Greensburg and Marian Bode of Versailles. Both parents survive. She married Jessie Chandler Sept. 16, 1996 in Holton and he survives.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rachel Lauren Huskey and Nicole Marie Huskey, both at home; one sister, Stefanie McQueen of Osgood; and grandmother, Edna Barnes of Osgood.
The funeral service and visitation was Sunday at 3 p.m. at Cave Hill Independent Church of God in Versailles with the Rev. Pearl Cornett officiating. Burial was in Mid Pike Cemetery at Osgood. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Arrangements were made by Neal's Funeral Home in Osgood.
Gerry E. Elkins, 54, Greenwood, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis due to an auto accident.
Born May 10, 1947 in Greensburg, he was the son of Richard Elkins, who preceded him in death, and Lois (Wright) Tribble of Shelbyville. He married Judy L. Fehrman Sept. 7, 1968 in Greensburg and she survives.
Mr. Elkins was a 1966 graduate of Shelbyville High School where, as an outstanding basketball player, he scored more than 1149 points during his high school career and was nominated for the Indiana High School Basketball Hall of Fame. He was a 1973 graduate of Indiana University.
He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War, was wounded in Khe Sank, Viet Nam, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was co-owner of Superior Windows & Remodeling Co. Previously he had been employed with the NuSash Co. before retiring in 2001. He had also been a stock broker for the Paine Webber Co., worked with the Mosley Hallgarten Co., and for Eli Lilly for 10 years in Quality Control. He was a member of Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church and a former member of the Greenwood Moose Lodge, and a former board member of the Center Grove Soccer Team.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Toby G. Elkins of Greenwood; half brother, Mark Westlake of Shelbyville; a stepfather, Dick W. Westlake of Shelbyville; a sister, Judy Bogemann of Shelbyville; and two grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Shane B. Elkins who died March 28, 2001.
The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, SR 135 Chapel, with Dr. J. Wesley Hertel officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with military graveside rites.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Joseph H. Moore, 71, Richmond, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002.
Born May 11, 1930, he was the son of Edward and Mary Moore. He married Betty Fussner and she survives.
He was a farmer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Diane (Fred) Lowry, Carol (Larry) Ricketts, Elaine (Brad) Tomlin, Lori (Doug) Payne, all of Shelbyville; three sons, Mark J., Tim E., and Darin A. Moore, all of Shelbyville; one sister, Mrs. Aileen Hobbs of Connersville; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.,. Wednesday at Burns Funeral Home in Milroy with the Rev. Bill Linville officiating. Burial will be in East Brook Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Howard C. Dean, 78, Greensburg, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Decatur County in 1923, he was the son of Charles T. and Gertrude R. (Roof) Dean. He married Edith Kelly in Sept. 13, 1947 in Greensburg and she preceded him in death April 23, 1998.
He was a farmer and truck driver for the Indiana State Highway Department.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Huber Walke of Batesville and Rosa Croddy of Greensburg; two sisters, Katie Seibert of Richmond and Dorothy Ruble of New Point; two stepdaughters, Mary Demaree of Greensburg and Loretta Hajny of Anderson; two stepsons, Frank L. Rousey Sr. of Greensburg and Charles Albert Rousey of Batesville; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Etta A. Rousey; one brother, Paul Dean; two sisters, Irene Rousey and Bessie Oster; and two grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rossburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
