Sister Marie Schene O.L.V.M., 90, of Victory Noll in Huntington, IN. died noon on Saturday July 21, 2007 at Holy Family Heath Care Center Victory Noll, Huntington, IN.
Sister Marie Schene was born November 10, 1916 in Jennings, MO to Ignatius and Anna Marie Scheiperpeter Schene. Her parents preceded her in death.
Sister Mary entered the congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on January 31, 1949 and made first Vows on August 5, 1951. She served in the missions in Indiana, Kentucky, Nevada, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. She returned to Victory Noll in 1993 and was part of the pastoral care team until 2004, when her health failed.
She was survived by one sister Virginia Farishon of Florissant, MO. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Herbert, Virgil and Leonard Schene also by two sisters Sr. Margaret Schene, OSU and Agnes Schermann.
Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 with calling one hour prior to the service at the Victory Noll Memorial Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington, IN.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday July 25, 2007 with one hour of calling prior to the mass at the Victory Noll Memorial Chapel with Rev. Thomas Fahey presiding.
Burial will be at the Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

Julie Jean Williams, 67, Huntington, IN, died at 1:15 AM, Friday, July 13, 2007 at Oakbrook Village Nursing Home, Huntington, IN, where she was a resident.
Julie Williams was born January 31, 1940 in Huntington, IN to Paul and Lillian Jay Satterthwaite. Her parents preceded her in death.
Ms. Williams graduated from Huntington High School in 1958. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

Donald Lee Snodgrass, 64 of Huntington, IN, died at 1:00 p.m., July 11, 2007 at his home in Huntington.
Mr. Snodgrass was born May 1, 1943 in Pikeville, KY to Crawford and Garnet Thompson Snodgrass. His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Snodgrass was a coal miner at Mullins Coal Co., Pikeville, KY. He was an Army veteran serving in Korea during the Korean War.

She was a former salesperson at K-Mart in Huntington, IN. Mrs. Meyer was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Order of Secular Franciscans, Widows of Prayer and the Rosary Sodality.

James A. Moran, 80, Huntington, IN, died Saturday June 9, 2007 at 8:45 PM at the Norwood Nursing Center Huntington, IN.
Mr. Moran was born October 19, 1926 in Huntington, IN to John P. and Helene E. Eisenhauer. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Moran was employed as an Account Controller for First Federal Savings Bank, Fort Wayne, IN. for 27 years, he retired in 1984. He worked for Summit Bank, Fort Wayne, IN for 6 years in the mortgage loan department, retiring in 1994.
Mr. Moran was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. He served in the Army during WWII. A member of American Legion Post #7, V.F.W. 2689 and Knights of Columbus, all of Huntington, IN. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus bowling team for 50 years and was inducted into the Knights of Columbus Bowlers Hall of fame. He traveled extensively around the United States and many countries around the world.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Patrick Moran, and his twin brother John P. (Jack) Moran and 1 sister Helene (Ann) Comstock.

She married Robert Richardson January 9, 1943 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. He survives and lives in Huntington. Mrs. Richardson worked in St. Mary Cafeteria for 8 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Also a member of St. Mary Rosary Sodality and the Prayer Chain.

James L. Phenicie, 82, Huntington went to be with his Heavenly Father Thursday, May 31, 2007.
Mr. Phenicie was born October 5, 1924 in Bement, IL. His parents were Frank and Ida Phenicie. They preceded him in death.
He married Jean Orr June 21, 1947. She survives and lives in Huntington. Mr. Phenicie attended Moody Bible Institute of Chicago and was a retired minister. He had worked at the First National Bank, Huntington, also worked for the Huntington County Community Schools till he retired. Jim was an accomplished artist and woodworker.
Mr. Phenicie was a WW11 Navy Veteran and served aboard the USS Wake Island. He attended the Charity Baptist Church.

Sister Joachim Stetar was born May 19, 1909 in Burgettstown, PA to Matthew Peter and Mary Ann Hucik Stetar. Her parents preceded her in death.
Sister Joachim entered the congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 28, 1942 and made first vows on August 5, 1945. She served in the missions in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Kentucky, Florida and California. She returned to Victory Noll in 1995.
She was survived by one sister Caroline Connelly, High Springs, FL. She is preceded in death by three sisters, Stephanie Stephenson, Ludmilla Schwimer, and Margaret Molin. Also proceeded by four brothers Matthew, Alexander, Ludwig and Edward Stetar.

Mr. Crider was born November 19, 1940 in Shippensburg, PA to Daniel A. and Edith H. Varner Crider. His parents preceded him in death. He married Shirley Suders on November 4, 1961. She survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Mr. Crider was a graduate of Shippensburg High School in PA and attended Huntington College. He was a member of the New Hope United Brethren Church and a former member of the Good Shepherd U. B. Church where he served with his wife for 18 years as the children’s church director. He was employed at Locke Steel Chain Co. and for 23 years at the Majestic Company. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers. He was a job coach at Pathfinders
Services for several years.

Jerry S. Smyth, 68, Huntington, IN died at 9:27 pm Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. .
Mr. Smyth was born December 12, 1938 in Huntington, IN to Carl S & Mae Kreisher Smyth.
His parents preceded him in death. He married Judi Baker October 16, 1971. She survives and lives in Huntington, IN.
A 1956 graduate of Salamonie Township High School. Graduating from Purdue University in 1961.
For the past five years he served as an Engineering Mentor for the 4 H Robotics Team. He retired in 2006 from J.O. Winter & Associates in Huntertown where he was a Design Engineer & Manufacturer’s Representative. Prior to that he worked as a Design Engineer for States Engineering in Fort Wayne. From 1966 to 1975 he owned & operated Smyth Aerodynamics during which time he designed and built the Smyth Sidewinder, an experimental aircraft which received the 1969 Outstanding Design Award from the International Experimental Aircraft Association.
He served in the U. S. Navy from 1961-1966. Lt. Smyth was a jet attack pilot aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S Hancock & flew 135 missions during the Vietnam Conflict. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, 14 Air Medals & the Navy Commendation with Combat V.
Additional survivors include 2 sons: Mike Smyth of Andrews and Mark Smyth at home; 2 grandchildren and1 brother Robert Smyth of Warren.
Proceeded in death by an infant brother Dwight Smyth.
