Mrs. Conkle was born December 24, 1923 in Huntington, IN to Charles and Lela Mossburgh Ehler. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Conkle married Rex Conkle on November 8, 1947 He preceded her in death in September 2, 1964.
Mrs. Conkle was a former employee of Our Sunday Visitor, Huntington, IN retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Mrs. James (Patricia) McCoskey, Santa Maria, CA and Mrs. Robert (Deborah) Elliott, Fort Wayne, IN and 1 Grandchild, James McCoskey lll.
3 brothers: Richard Ehler and Robert Ehler both of Huntington, IN and Edward Ehler, Fort Wayne, IN and 4 sisters: Mrs. William (Margaret) Howell, Mrs. Myron (Martha) Jennings, Mrs. Jack (Elizabeth) Tester, all of Huntington, IN and Catherine Wade, So. Bend, IN.

Stanley Greene Jr., 73, Huntington, IN died on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 2:55 AM at Parkview Whitley County Hospital, Columbia City, IN.

Mr. Greene was born on November 6, 1933 to Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Greene Sr.
His parents preceded him in death. He married Peggy Lou Watkins November 28, 1957 in Fort Wayne, IN. She preceded him in death February 12, 1999.

Mr. Greene worked for Stucky Brothers, Pure Sealed Dairy, North America Van Line and Heartland. He was a hard working, dedicated father and long time area Jazz musician.

Survivors include: 5 Daughters: Kathy (James) Bailey, Fort Wayne, IN Jeanette Greene, Huntington, Ginger (Bradley) Smith, Craig, CO, Gretchen Greene, Vail, CO, JoHannah (Tyler) Allendorph, Fort Wayne, IN
2 Sons: Stanley (Denise) Greene III, Palm Bay, Florida and John (Charity) Greene, Albion, IN 8 grandchildren: Chad and Keri Bailey, Chelsea and G. Zane Smith, Paige Deason, Kailey, Gabriella and Zachery Greene, as well as many adoring nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: 1 Daughter Jenifer Greene and 2 sisters: Sharon Strack and JoAnn Meyers.

Sharon Minton, 65, Huntington, IN. died on Monday, December 11, 2006 at ( 4:46 PM) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Sharon Minton was born on October 29, 1941 to Russell and Beatrice Fisher Minton. Her mother survives and lives in Huntington, IN.

Ms. Minton was a cashier at various Food Markets in Huntington, IN and at J. C. Penney’s, Fort Wayne, IN. She attented Bethel Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by a son, Robert Minton, Huntington, IN and 2 brothers: Gary Minton and James Minton both of Huntington, IN.
She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Minton on August 30, 1977.

Verlin (Pete) Myers, 82, Huntington, IN, formerly of Fort Wayne, IN died on Sunday December 10, 2006 at 11:28 PM at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Mr. Myers was born on September 21, 1924 in South Whitley, IN to Fred and Mabel (Brinkman) Myers. His parents preceded her in death.

Mr. Myers married to Lorene McConnell on October 28, 1952 and she passed away on October 16, 1978. Mr. King work for 35 years for International Harvester in Fort Wayne, IN.

Survivors include: 1 Brother Warren Myers of Huntington and 2 sisters Ruth Veld of Kalamazoo, MI and Betty Schenkel of Huntington, IN. He was preceded in death by 1 Daughter Linda Smith 2 Brothers William and Robert Myers and 4 Sisters Ann Slater, Sara Brubaker, Mary Mulligan and Clara Dietchley.

Private Graveside Services will be Wednesday December 13, 2006 at Green Lawn Cemetery in Fort Wayne, IN.

She was born July 12, 1923 in Kentucky to Audi and Nola Jane Price Roseberry. Her parents preceded her in death.
She was a Cosmetologist and also worked at Memcor in Huntington, IN. She married William Pontzious on October 5, 1942 He preceded her in death July 6, 2000.

Survivors include 2 sons: Daniel Duane Pontzious, Prescott, AZ.; David Lynn Pontzious, Mishawaka, IN; 2 Daughters: Mrs. Curt (Linda) Gates, New Albany, IN and Mrs. Richard (Rebecca) Dolby, Prescott, AZ. 9 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Two sisters preceded her in death Nora Rose Berry and Mary Lou Plummer.

Visitation will be November 26, 2006 2- 4 PM at McElhaney - Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jeffferson St. Huntington, IN. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Sunday November 26, 2006 at the Funeral Home .

Donald G. Yates, 74, of Huntington, IN died on Friday, November 24, 2006 at 7:40 PM at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, IN.

Mr. Yates was born on June 6, 1932 in Watseka IL. to Guy Upward and Elizabeth (Betty) Johnson Yates. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Yates graduated from Valparaiso University in 1956. He was a lawyer in the firm of Yates/Miller and a former prosecuting attorney and judge in Huntington County. He was a member of the Republican National Committee, National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare , Eagles Lodge and American Legion Post #85. Mr. Yates was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: 4 Sons: Bruce Yates, New Palestine, IN.; Keith Yates, Austin, TX.; David Yates, Florida Keys and Dallas Yates, Fort Wayne, IN. 1 Brother: Dan Yates, Ashton, IL and 1 Sister: Mary Lee Rice, Chicago, IL. 5 Grandchildren.

Mrs. Caley was married to Gilbert (Gib) G. Caley on June 27, 1944 in Central Christian Church Parsonage in Huntington, IN. He died June 4, 1996.
Mrs. Caley was a nurse aide at Huntington Memorial Hospital from 1954-1965. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include: 4 Sons: Tyrone Caley, Jefferson City, MO. Larry Price , Kirk G. Caley, John Caley, all of Huntington, IN. 3 Daughters: Beverly D. Cox, Simpsonville, SC, Sherry A. Gephart, Englewood, FL., Deborah A. Shaw, Rio Rancho, NM.. 34 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grand children.

Alan Dalrymple, 50, of Huntington, IN, died at (5:03 pm) Monday, November 20, 2006 in Huntington, IN.
Mr. Dalrymple was born on February 26, 1956 in Huntington, IN to Robert and Mary Miller Dalrymple.
Mr. Dalrymple married Beverly Hosier on September 6, 1975. She survives and resides in Huntington.
Mr. Dalrymple was employed as a service technician with Vectren Energy for 21 years.
Mr. Dalrymple was a member of Huntington County Baseball for 20 plus years. He was a coach, board member, umpire, league president and currently served as HCB league vice-president. He was also a member of the Huntington County Lions Club. He was well known in men’s softball and instrumental in the erection and completion of Homier Park. He attended Union Church.
Survivors include: 2 Sons: Brandon Tyler and Kimberly Lee Dalrymple, Huntington, IN and Nathan Alan Dalrymple, Cincinnati, OH. His parents Robert and Mary Dalrymple, Huntington, IN. 2 Sisters: Jean Ann Collins, Harlan and Jill LeAnn Owens, Huntington. 2 Grand-daughters Dalia Lee and Tyler Elaine Dalrymple.

Calling hours will be Friday, November 24, 2006 from 2 to 9 PM and Saturday, November 25, 2006 from noon to 2 PM at the Union Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 2 PM at the Union Church with Rev. Jeff Carrell officiating.
Burial will be in St Peter’s 1st Cemetery.

Brian John Johnson, 58, Fort Wayne, IN, died at 1:32 AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana
Mr. Johnson was born July 2, 1948, in Huntington, IN to Kenneth Lee and Mildred L. Teusch Johnson. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the order of Benedictine Monks for 15 years at St. Meinrad Monastery. He was an accomplished organist and taught music and directed several choirs in the Chicago area. In recent years he served as organist at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, IN.

Survivors include: 1 Brother: Kenneth A. Johnson, Huntington, IN 3 Sisters: Carol Cravens, Maumee, OH; Marilyn Isaac, Huntington, IN and Janet Stamper, Warsaw, IN. and several nieces and nephews.

Robert D. Stetzel was born July 22, 1912 in Huntington, IN to Daniel P. and Elva Merriman Stetzel. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Stetzel married Thelma L. Allison on June 28, 1936. She died December 23, 2000.
Mr. Stetzel was employed at an H.K.Porter Friction Material (i.e. Asbestos Mfg. Company) for 25 years and Sturm Auto Parts for 17 years, retiring from there in 1977. He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Stetzel was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Huntington, IN.
Survivors include: 1 son: D. J. Stetzel, Venice, FL. 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: 1 daughter, Shirley Lee Yoder; 2 brothers: Paul Stetzel and Donald Stetzel 1 grandson and 1 great-grandson.
