C. Dean Kellam, 78,Huntington, IN, died at 3:54 PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at his home.
Charles Dean Kellam was born on April 27, 1928 in Huntington, IN to William Roy and Minnie McDaniel Kellam His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Kellam married Lorraine Strass on April 25, 1952. She survives and lives in Huntington, IN.
Mr. Kellam graduated in 1946 from Lancaster High School. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Agriculture from Purdue University in 1950. Mr. Kellam served in United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Kellam was a farmer from 1955 to 1961. He started Pulley - Kellam Company in 1960. He served as President and CEO from 1961 to June of 2001. The company grew to become a nationally recognized precision metal fabricator. In 1982 he purchased ENOCHS Manufacturing where he served as President until December of 2000. He remained active in the businesses until his time of death He was a member of the President Club at Purdue, TKE House, member of Ceres and ROTC.

Survivors include: 1 Son: C.David Kellam, Exeter, New Hampshire. 3 Daughters: Carla S. Hardy, Indianapolis, Marla K. Foster , Huntington, Dena M. Kellam, Indianapolis. 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild. 1 Brother: Dale Kellam, Waco, TX. 1 Sister: Maxine York, Marion.

Preceded in death by: 2 sisters: Doris Gosley and Maridean Hughes.

Donald Ness, 74,Huntington, IN, died at 10:20 PM on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Parkview North Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.
Donald Ness was born February 6, 1932 in Huntington, IN to Herman Jacob and Emma Frances Pfister Ness. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Ness married Phyllis Johnson Rahn on November 7, 1987. She survives and lives in Huntington, IN. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, VFW Post # 2689, American Legion Post # 7 and the Indiana Chapter LST Association.
Mr. Ness was a former employee in the Mailing Dept of Our Sunday Visitor and later self-employed with Don Ness Trucking and Excavating and Tree/ Septic Services in Huntington, IN.
Mr. Ness was a Boatswain Mate Chief Retired in the Navy serving from 1952-1956 during the Korean War and 1974-1991 serving during the Gulf War. He was assigned to various ships: the Chikaskic USS Bolder 1190, MS-Excel, MS- Galliant and USS Racine 1191.
Survivors include: 4 Sons: Donald Ness Jr., Huntington, IN.; Jed Ness, North Vernon, IN.; Adam Ness, Colorado Springs, CO. and Robert Ness, Copperas Cove, TX. 1 Daughter: Carol Smith, Huntington, IN. 20 Grandchildren. 1 Stepson, Eric Rahn, Tyler, TX. 1 stepdaughter, Melanie Shockome, Huntington, IN. 3 Brothers: Herman Jack Ness Jr. Huntington, IN.; Charles Ness, Miami, FL and Paul Richard Ness, Huntington, IN. 2 Sisters: Mrs. Keith (Barbara Jane) Steele, Huntington, IN. and Helen Mueller, Fort Wayne, IN.

Mr. Beemer married Barbara Metz on November 25, 1949. She preceded him in death on February 10, 2000.
Mr. Beemer was owner of Beemer Construction in partnership with Daniel Beemer.
He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He graduate from Huntington High School in 1947. Mr. Beemer was a member of the Isaac Walton League and Moose Lodge # 837.

Survivors include: 5 Sons: Richard G. Beemer, Huntington, James R. Beemer, Fort Wayne, Joseph B. Beemer, Huntington, Patrick M. M. Beemer, Huntington, and Daniel E. Jerry Finton Sr., 54,Huntington, IN, died on July 21, 2006 at 6:45 AM at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Mr. Finton was born on April 24, 1952 in Huntington, IN to Joseph and Barbara Sands Fossnaugh. His parents preceded him in death.

Mr. Finton married Amy Shock. She survives and lives in Huntington.
Mr. Finton worked for Brindle Products in Grabill, IN. as a painter. Mr. Finton
served in the United States Army as an Air Borne Ranger. Mr. Finton was a member
of the American Legion Post 85 in Huntington.

Survivors include: his wife: Amy Shock. 1 son: Jerry J. Finton, Andrews.
2 Grandchildren. 3 sisters: Gladys Haines, Roanoke, Trina Caley, Leo, and
Sonia Gage, Leo.

Preceded in death by: 1 brother: Chuck Finton.

Francis 'Frank' McKeighen
Francis 'Frank' J. McKeighen, 86, of Huntington, IN. died at 11:10 AM on Monday, July 3, 2006 at his daughter's home in Huntington.

Mr. McKeighen was born on July 3, 1920 in French Lick, IN to William O. and Frances Jane Lightner McKeighen. His parents preceded him in death.

Mr. McKeighen married Lottie M. Seed on February 8, 1943 in Lawrenceville, IL. She survives and lives in Huntington, IN. Mr. McKeighen retired from Ruan Transport where he was a truck driver. He was a veteran from the United States Army serving in WW II. He is a member of the St. Peter First Church, Huntington. Mr. McKeighen was a member of the Edward Dobbins Masonic Lodge in Lawrenceville, IL., and a retired Teamster Local 414, VFW Post 2689 and American Legion Post 51, in Huntington.

Survivors include: his wife of 63 years. 1 daughter: Mrs. Jeff (Connie) Baumgardner, Huntington. 2 Grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Calling will be Thursday, July 6, 2006 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the McElhaney - Hart Funeral Home, 715 N Jefferson St, Huntington.
Graveside service will be Friday, July 7, 2006 at 2 PM Illinois time at the Lawrenceville Cemetery in Lawrenceville, IL.

George W. Scher Sr., 93, Huntington, IN died on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at 4:32 PM at the Miller Merry Manor Nursing Home, Huntington, IN.

Mr. Scher was born on February 22, 1913 in Huntington, Indiana to Henry and Lena
Gelzleichter Scher. His parents preceded him in death.

Mr. Scher married Julia Bauch. She preceded him in death on October 10, 1967. His second marriage was to Velma Gill, she preceded him in death in 1987. His third marriage was to Virginia Richhart, she preceded him in death in 2002.
Mr. Scher retired from Huntington County School Corporation where he was an Engineer in the boiler plant at Central School. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. Mr. Scher was a member of the Knights of Columbia 1014, 4th Degree, Moose Lodge #837 and FOP Association Lodge.

Survivors include: 5 sons: George W Scher Jr., Huntington, Michael Scher, Huntington, Terry Scher, Huntington, Patrick Scher, Huntington, and Br. James Scher, OSC Phoenix, AZ. 5 Step-Sons: George Richhart, Anderson, Bob Richhart, New Haven, Gene Richhart, Harlen, Kevin Richhart, Woodburn and Cal Richhart, New Haven. 5 Step-daughters: Connie Poppele, Woodburn, Bonnie Denney, Hew Haven, Diane Richhart, Butler, Elaine Richhart, Butler, and Cheryl Lothamer, Butler.
10 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild. 2 Sisters: Phyllis Pfister, Huntington and Marjorie Meyer, Huntington. 2 Brothers: Eugene Scher, Huntington and Richard Scher, Huntington.

He was preceded in death by: 1Great-Grandchild. 4 brothers: James Scher, Delbert Scher, Earl Scher and Robert Scher. 3 Sisters: Sr. Josephine Scher, SSND, Kathleen Hesting and Dorothy Stoltz.

Calling will be Wednesday, July 5, 2006 from 2 to 8 PM at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN. with Rosary service at 6:30 PM.

Mrs. Gordon graduated from Huntington High School in 1957. She married Robert Gordon on September 6, 1958 in Huntington, IN. He survives and lives in West Lafayette, IN.
Mrs. Gordon was a secretary at AMT Trucking in Lafayette, IN. She attended St. Andrew United Methodist Church in West Lafayette.

Survivors include: 2 daughters: Joyce Gordon, Lafayette, IN. and Mrs. Steven (Connie) Rayburn, Veedersburg, IN. 1 son: Karl (JoAnn) Gordon, Quinton, VA. 2 Granddaughters: DeeAnn Rayburn and Brittany Rayburn, Veedersburg, IN 1 brother: Wayne Chesterman, West Lafayette.

Mrs. Herzog first marriage was to Ira O. Carey. He preceded her in death in May 1924. She married Howard (Chick) R. Herzog on June 11, 1930 in Indianapolis,IN. He preceded her in death August 3, 1992.
Mrs. Herzog was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter 1st UCC of Huntington. Mrs. Herzog was a Charter Member of Amiticia; Volunteer at HMH 8 years, Member (Floral) Chapter of Eastern Star #75 and a member of BLF&E Auxiliary.

Survivors include: 2 daughters: Mrs. Barbara Kline, Huntington and Mrs. Carolyn Waikel, Laramie, WY. 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: 1 son: William Carey, 1 grandchild, 1 great- grandchild,
1 sister: Irene Baker and 1 brother: Willard Hildebrand.
