Mrs. Ferguson married Joseph W. Ferguson on September 26, 1948 in Jonesboro, IN. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1995. Mrs. Ferguson was employed and then retired after 20 years of service at IMCO.

Survivors include: 2 sons: Charles W. Ferguson, Huntington and John R.Ferguson, Rochester, IN. 4 daughters: Marie Chevalier, Joplin, MO.; Millie Kiefer, Akron, IN.; Doris Waters, Huntington, IN. and Katherine Garrison, Huntington, IN. 1 sister: Doris Byers, Cherokee Village, Arkansas. 15 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: 2 infant sons and 2 infant daughters and 1 brother: Calvin Rybolt.

She was a homemaker and a dedicated I U basketball fan. A 1943 graduate of Huntington High School, Huntington, IN.

Survivors include: 3 sons: Jim Koontz, Huntington, Mike Koontz, Auburn and Thomas Koontz, Huntington. 1 daughter: Nikki Hunt, Adairsville, GA.and 12 grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held on June 10, 2006 at 9:30 Am at the Lafontaine Center, 208 W State St, Huntington, IN.

Mr. Truitt was a Transportation Technician Specialist for 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving for 5 years.He was a member of the American Legion Post 160 of Roanoke and the VFW Post 2689 in Huntington, IN.

Mr. Smith was born on November 13, 1911 in Huntington, IN to Ray and Dessie Goodmiller Smith His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Smith married Lucille Hughes. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Smith was retired from Mann's Plumbing. He was a member of American Legion Post #7 in Huntington, IN. He was a veteran serving in the Army during WW II.
Survivors include 1 Brother: Donald E. Smith, Huntington, IN and 2 Sisters: Katherine Hiple, Huntington, IN. and Mrs. Eileen Sands, Huntington, IN.
He was preceded in death by: 2 Brothers: Clarence (Smitty) Smith and Fred Smith and 2 Sisters: Esteleen Pettigrew and Edith Pinkerton.

Paul Baumgardner 81, of Huntington , IN died on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Lutheran Hospital , Fort Wayne , IN.
Mr. Baumgardner was born on April 20, 1925 in Huntington , IN. to Earl and Mae Young Baumgardner. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Baumgardner was a graduate of Huntington High School , Class of 1944.
He served in the United States Army during WW II and was a 1945 Purple Heart Recipient. He married Betty Smith on July 21, 1946 .She survives and resides in Huntington .
Mr. Baumgardner was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Huntington , IN where he served as a Deacon and Trustee. He was a graduate of the 1949 Indiana School of Mortuary Science and was a licensed embalmer associated with the Lynch Funeral Home in Roanoke , IN. Mr. Baumgardner was also a purchasing-agent at Memcor.
He was instrumental in various civic affairs in Huntington County including the VFW Street Fair and Huntington 's Fourth of July Celebrations.For many years, Pual organized parades for various events in Huntington . He was a member of VFW # 2689 where he served as Past Post-Commander and Past District Commander. He was also a member of American Legion #160, Roanoke , IN , Disabled American Veterans and AMVETS Post #0008, He was a retired Lieuntenant Colonelin the National Guard and treasurer of Huntington County Veterans Council.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Mrs. Paul (Vickie) Swain, Roanoke , IN. and Mrs. Jim (Debra) Vodde, Troy , OH . 4 Grand-children and 4 Great-grandchildren; 5 Step Grand-children and 7 Step- Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Eugene Baumgardner and an infant sister.

Mrs. Bowen married Leonard Bowen, April 9, 1943. He died February 3, 1975.
Mrs. Bowen worked as a sales clerk for S.H. Kress and at Payless Shoe Store. A member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. She belonged to V F W Auxiliary Post # 2689, American Legion Auxiliary Post 7, Ladies Moose Lodge #837, Huntington County Women's Democratic Club.

Survivors include: 1 daughter: Mrs. Dale (Carole) Olsen, Littleton, CO; 2 sisters: Mrs. Keith (Barbara Jane) Steele, Huntington, IN, and Mrs. John (Helen) Mueller Ft. Wayne, IN; 4 brothers: Herman (Jack) Ness, Donald Ness, Richard Ness all of Huntington, IN, Charles Ness, Homestead, FL.
Preceded in death by: 4 sisters: Bernadette Sturgeon, Mary Double, Catherine VanHolten and Margo Koehlinger.

Mr. Stoffel was born on May 23, 1927 in Huntington, IN to August and Agnes Ufheil Stoffel. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Stoffel was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was retired from the Erie Railroad as a yard conductor. He also farmed in Huntington County for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1014.
Mr. Stoffel's first marriage was to Wilma Laymon. She preceded him in death on March 26, 1972. His second marriage was to Judy Floyd on August 29, 1979. She
survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Survivors include: 3 Sons: Frederick (Fred) Stoffel,Larwell, IN.; Michael E. Stoffel and Nicholas Stoffel, both of Huntington,IN. 2 Daughters: Sandra Winkelman, Stevens Point, WI. And Patty Bowen, Huntington, IN. and 1 Sister: Marilyn Mitten, Zion, IL. 1 Brother: Edward Stoffel, Huntington, IN. 20 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Infant son, Anthony Stoffel; 3 Brothers: Mark Stoffel, Donald Stoffel and Bernard Stoffel and 2 Sisters, June Eckert, Phyllis Jean Stuck.

Calling will be Saturday, April 15, 2006 from 2 to 8 PM and Monday, April 17, 2006, one hour prior to the service at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson, Huntington, IN. Recitation of the rosary at 6:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2006.

Mr. Gerrard was born on October 29, 1938 in Huntington, IN. to Otis Lee and Sylvia Fist Gerrard.

Mr. Gerrard was owner and operator of Jerry's Barber Shop for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Huntington High School class of 1956 and a member of the Moose Lodge #837 in Huntington, IN.

Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Lee Ann Gerrard, Huntington, IN. and 1 Son: Chad Robert Gerrard, Andrews, IN. 1 Sister: Marilyn Gerrard, Oshkosh, Wisconsin and 1 Grandson.

Preceded in death by 2 sisters: Marsha Kay Gerrard and Esther Joann Clements.

He was an employee of General Telephone Co., Fort Wayne, In for 20 years where he worked as an installer and repairman. He was a member of the American Legion Post 160, Roanoke, IN. and GTE retired Work Group. Mr. Christ served in the Navy.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Raymond Christ Jr., Fort Wayne, IN and John Christ, Roanoke, IN. 2 Daughters: Nancy Kindler, Huntington and Kathy Hammel, Roanoke, IN 1 Brother: Dick Christ, Huntington, IN 1 Sister: Mrs. Willard (Virginia) Cayle, Hement, CA and 12 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters and 1 Grandson: Matthew Christ

Sister Louise Marie was born September 8, 1911 in Joliet, IL. to Daniel and Alphonsine Bouchard Berard. Her parents preceded her in death.

Sister Louise Marie entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on September 20, 1932 and made first Vows on September 8, 1935. She served for 65 years in the missions in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana,Kentucky and Nevada. She retired to Victory Noll in 2000.

Survivors include: Sister: Alma Fitzpatrick, Oak Lawn, IL and numerous niece and nephews.
Preceded in death by: 7 Brothers: Daniel Berard, Paul Berard, Albert Berard, Ralph Berard, Robert Berard, Lawrence Berard and Anthony Berard.

A Wake Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday March 31, 2006 at Victory Noll Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 1, 2006 with one hour of calling prior to the mass at the Victory Noll Memorial Chapel with Rev. Thomas Fahey presiding.

Burial will be at the Victory Noll Cemetery Huntington, IN.

Mrs. Settlemyre married Herman Settlemyre October 26, 1940. He died August 1, 1972. Mrs. Settlemyre attended St. Anthony School of Nursing in Geary, OK. She was a Register Nurse at Huntington Memorial Hospital for 32 years, retired in 1984. A member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.
Survivors include: 4 daughters: Janet Green, Crownsville, Maryland, Ann Hemmer, Deale, Maryland, Mrs. Jim (Monet) Blackburn, Huntington, IN, Mrs. Robert (Vivian) Hufford, Ft. Wayne, IN; 9 grandchildren; 1 brother: Frank Sander, Clearwater, FL; 1 sister: Mrs. Charles (Adelaide) Strickland, Waycruss, GA.
Deceased include 1daughter Martha Byrne. 1 grandson. 1 sister: Edith Swetland.
