Sister Mary Matilda Spetter, Sr.
Mary Matilda Spetter, O.L.V.M., 87, a resident of Victory Noll Huntington, IN. died on Saturday July 23, 2005 at 10:00 PM at Holy Family Heath Care Center Victory Noll, Huntington, IN.
Sister Mary was born on November 10, 1917 in Clovis, New Mexico to Otis C. and Sophia Polenek Spetter.

Sister Mary entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on February 1, 1936 and made first Vows on August 5, 1939. She ministered in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
She returned to Victory Noll to work with the Pastoral Care Team in Holy Family Health Care Center in 1996.

Survivors include: 1 Sister: Viola Prue, Paxico, KS. 1 Brother: Eugene N. Spetter,
Delia, KS.
Preceded in death by: 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

A vigil Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday July 25, 2005 with calling one hour prior to the Service at the Victory Noll Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 10:30 AM, at the Victory Noll Memorial Chapel with Rev. Thomas Fahey presiding..

Burial will be at the Victory Noll Cemetery.

Wallace Gregory (Ferd) Meehan
Wallace Gregory (Ferd) Meehan, 74, Huntington, died on Friday July 15, 2005 at 4:52 AM at Parkview, Ft Wayne, IN.
Mr. Meehan was born January 27,1931 in North Manchester, Indiana to John Michael and Edith Morrow Meehan. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Meehan graduated from Huntington Catholic School in 1949. He served in the Navy from 1949 to 1953. He attended Purdue University and graduated in 1955. Mr. Meehan married Janet Rose Frederick on July 26, 1963 in Colorado Spring, CO. She preceded him in death on August 26, 1996.
Mr. Meehan was a Printer at Noll Printing and retired in 1995.He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, In. He was a member of the 3rd order of St. Francis, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Children of The Resurrection Pray Group and The VFW Post #2689.
Survivors include: 1 son: Robert R. Meehan, (wife Marcia),Elkhart, IN. 3 Daughters: Mrs. William (Carolyn) Richardson, Huntington, IN., Lucy J. Meehan (Fiancé Randy Siebenaler), New Haven, IN. and Mrs. Andy (Lisa J.) Gibson, Springfield, OH.1 brother: Jerry B. Meehan, Waynedale, IN.
15 Grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: I daughter: Marilyn Meehan Haddad and I brother: Robert M. Meehan.
Calling will be Saturday, July 16, 2005 from 6 to 8 PM and Sunday, July 17, 2005 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, with a Wake/Scripture reading at 7 pm at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Inc., 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN.

John A. Crago
John A. Crago, 84,Warren, IN died at 10:20 AM on July 12, 2005 at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, IN. He was a formal resident of Huntington, IN.
Mr. Crago was born April 3, 1921 in Huntington County, IN to Charles O. and Mabel V. Sharp Crago. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Crago graduated from Lancaster High School in Wells County in 1940. He joined the Army in 1941and was a member of the 38 Division attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1942 he was captured by the Japanese and survived the Bataan Death March of 60 miles without food or water. He was a prisoner of war for 3 ? years being liberated in Japan in 1945. He was awarded many medals including: WW II Victory, American Defence Service, Philippine Independence Ribbon, Prisoner of War, Philippine Liberation and the Bronze Star.
Mr. Crago married Florence Walters April 19, 1947. She survives and lives in
Warren, IN.
Mr. Crago was a Production Controller for Dana in Marion, IN, retired in February. 1977. A member of St. Peters First United Church of Christ, Huntington, IN. Belonged to the 32 degree Mason in Amity Lodge # 483, York Rite Lodge, Scottish Rite Lodge, Shrine, Hapzim Shrine, Eastern Star # 75, American Legion Post #7 and the VFW. He served as a National Commander of the American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor from 1983 to 1984. He was in the National Guard until 1952.
Additional survivors include: 4 daughters: Mrs. A. David (Mary Ann) Thomas III, Lake Villa, IL, Mrs. Al (Kathy) Shockley, Huntington and Mrs. David (Martha) Forst Huntington, IN, Mrs. John (Kay Lynn) Bradley, Wabash, IN; 1 brother: Kenneth Crago, Indianapolis, IN. and 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren;
Preceded in death by: 4 sisters: Dora Hite, Rosella Miller, Stella Eppard and Edna Paul.
Calling will be Thursday July 14, 2005 from 4 to 8 pm at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Inc., 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN.
Funeral services will be on Friday, July 15, 2005 at 11 AM with 1 hour of calling prior at the United Methodist Memorial Home Applegate Chapel, Warren, IN. Chapel with Rev. Brian Damrow officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

Nick was born on October 3, 1982 in Ft. Wayne, IN. to Charles and Margie Neeley Bohrer. His parents survive and live in Huntington, IN.

Nick worked at Colliers Heating and Cooling in Ossian, IN. He worked with his father on the family?s farm, Huntington, IN.
Nick was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.

Survivors include: wife: Esther (Bitzel) Bohrer, Huntington. 1 son: Peyton Nicholas, Huntington, IN. 1 daughter: Zayda Ann Bohrer, Huntington. 1 brother: Matthew Bohrer, Huntington, 1 sister: Abby Bohrer, Huntington, and a maternal grandfather: Robert Neeley, Huntington, IN.

Martha E. Lewis
Martha E. Lewis, 86, Warren IN, died on Friday June 24, 2005 at Warren Methodist Home, Warren, IN. She had been a resident of the home since 1991.
Mrs. Lewis was born September 10, 1918 in Rochester, IN. to Reverend Ora and Olive Southwood Oxley. Her parents preceded her in death.
She married Eldon R. Lewis June 1, 1941. He preceded her in death September 30, 1981.
Mrs. Lewis had been an Insurance Secretary at Dr. Wayne Miller’s Office. She was also employed at Neterer’s Bakery, Marx Brothers’ Clothing and JC Penny.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Central Christian Church, Huntington, IN. and The Women’s Fellowship and a deaconess emeritus. She was also a 50 year member of The Eastern Star Chapter #75 and a member of Huntington Hospital Guild.

Survivors include: 1 son: Jerry E. Lewis and wife Janie. 1 daughter: Mrs. Jon (Sue) Ellet, Huntington, IN. 6 Grandchildren: Christopher Lewis, Eric (Kathy) Ellet, Andrew Ellet, Robin Ellet, Sara Ellet, and Bethany Ellet. 1 sister: Ruby McElhaney, Winona Lake, IN. and 1 brother: Paul C. Oxley, Fontana, CA.
Preceded in death: 1 grandson: Matthew Ellet. 2 Sisters:Clara Mae Kronk and Myrtle Howenstine.

Harold Casper, 92, Huntington, IN, died at (8:05AM) Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mr. Casper was born October 15, 1912 in Huntington County to Charles and Edith Dillman Casper. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Casper was a 1932 graduate of Huntington High School.Mr. Casper married Mary Margaret Scher on September 14, 1940 in Huntington, IN. She survives.
Prior to Mr. Casper?s retirement in 1976 he was a conductor for the Erie- Lackawanna Railroad for 35 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, a life member of the Elks Lodge #805 and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of United Transportation.
Surviving are 2 Sons: Thomas J. Casper, Peru, IN and Jerry Allen Casper, Gardner, MA. 4 Grandchildren.
Deceased: 2 Sisters: Verna Sunderman and Mary Sours and 1 Brother: Eugene Casper.

John (Jack) P. Moran Jr., 78, Huntington, IN, died June 21, 2005 (12:05 PM) at Norwood Nursing Center, Huntington, IN.
Mr. Moran was born October 19, 1926 in Huntington, IN to John P. and Helene E. Eisenhauer Moran. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Moran graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1945. He served in the Army during W W II.
Mr. Moran married Lorna Schultz on November 11, 1948. She preceded him in death on April 6, 1991.
Prior to his retirement in 1984 Mr. Moran was employed at United Technologies , Huntington, Indiana in the maintenance department. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. A member of V.F.W. #2689 and Knights of Columbus. Mr. Moran helped organize The Huntington County Modelers Club and Flying Field. Mr. Moran was a R-C Hobbyist and a model train enthusiast . He was also a Hamm Radio Operator.
Additional survivors include: 1 son: Michael Moran, Columbia City, IN. 1 Daughter: Mrs. Carl (Debra) Butts, Huntington. A twin brother, James Moran, Huntington, IN; 2 Grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren. 1 Great grandchild and 1 Step great-grandchild.
Deceased 1 brother: Patrick Moran, 1 Sister: Helene Ann Comstock.

Mrs. Donnelly was born on October 6, 1922 to Edward and Margaret Kelly McGarvey in Union Town, PA. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Donnelly first marriage was to Charles Freeborn, he preceded her in death in 1948. Her second marriage was to William J. Donnelly on December 28, 1950. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1998.
Mrs. Donnelly graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, PA. as a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Donnelly worked at Huntington Memorial Hospital for 19 years, including 10 years as Director of Nursing in the OB Department.Mrs. Donnelly also worked for Family Practice with Dr. Peare and Dr. Gill. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. and a member of Rosary Sodality and Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include: 1 Son: William J. Donnelly Jr., Huntington, IN. 4 Daughters: Mrs. William (Judie) Swalick, Katy, TX. Mrs. Michael (Mary) Lewis, Ft. Wayne, IN., Helen Donnelly, Mayfield Heights, OH. and Mrs. David (Jeanne) Voegler, Battle Creek, MI.1 brother: James McGarvey, Battle Creek, MI. 1 Sister: Frances G. Walsh, Butler, PA.
and 6 Grandchildren.

Sister Florence was born March 12, 1911 in St. Libory, Illinois to Libory and Anna Christine Terveer Luechtefeld.

Sister Florence entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on September 2, 1931 and made first Vows on September 8, 1934. She ministered in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah. She retired at Holy Family Health Care Center in 1990.

Survivors include: 3 Sister: Clara Schmidt, Belleville, IL., Sister Leona Luechtefeld, CPPS, Fairview Heights, IL., and Rita Pajares, Smithton, IL. 1 Brother: Ralph Luechtefeld, Belleville, IL.
Preceded in death by: 2 Sisters: Gertrude Maes and Sister Dorothy Luechtefeld.

Mona Lou Nierzwicki, 76, Huntington, died 4:35 am in Bloomington, IN. on June 11, 2005.
Mrs. Nierzwicki was born on December 12, 1928 to O.L. Kettering Sr. and Lona Madge Alderman in Elkhart Indiana. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Nierzwicki married Frank Nierzwicki on May 28,1955. He survives and lives in Huntington, IN.
Mrs. Nierzwicki graduated from Huntington High in 1947. She attended Heidelberg College in Ohio and graduated in 1951. She worked at Indiana Michigan Electric Company in South Bend and was a substitute teacher for Huntington County School Corporation. She was a member of St. Peter’s First United Church of Christ, Huntington, IN.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Frank Nierzwicki Jr, Bloomington, IN. and John E. Nierzwicki, Sharon Center, Ohio and 3 Granddaughters.
Preceded in death by: 1 brother: O.L. Kettering Jr.

Calling will be on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 pm at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.

Mr. Hollowell was born on September 24, 1940 in Huntington, IN to Lowell and Helen Schenkel Hollowell.
Mr. Hollowell married Linda Poehler on September 2, 1961 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Huntington. She survives and lives in Huntington.
Mr. Hollowell was a Manager of Special Products at Memcor TRU-OHM for 37 years. He retired from Memcor TRU-OHM in 1997.
Mr. Hollowell was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Huntington. He was a volunteer at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Survivors: His wife, Linda Hollowell. 1 daughter: Ann Forth, Andrews, IN. 2 Sons: Michael Hollowell, Greeneville, TN and John Hollowell, Kingsport, TN. 2 Brothers: Larry Hollowell, Huntington and Ed Hollowell, Huntington, IN.and 6 Grandchildren

Mr. Hill was a plumber-pipe fitter with Local Union #166 , Fort Wayne, IN. Mr. Hill was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Moose Lodge #837 in Huntington, IN.

(J.D.) and Rosalyn Hill, 3 daughters: Ashley Marie Hill, Addey Paige Hill and Amelia Janee Hill, all residents of Huntington, IN. 2 Sisters: Mrs. Eric (Kelly) Zahm, Huntington, IN and Mrs. Chris (Mia) Scher, Huntington, IN.
