He was the former owner of Hay Market Restaurant and Polar Bear Drive
Inn, both of Huntington and The Ennis Restaurant, Columbia City. He was a lifelong
farmer in Clear Creek Township, Huntington County.
He was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He was a member of American
Legion, VFW # 160, Roanoke and VFW #2689, Huntington

Ernest E. Endsley, 85, Huntington, died Saturday January 15, 2005 at VA Northern Indiana Healthcare Marion, IN.
Mr. Endsley was born October 16, 1919 in Van Buren, Indiana to Otho and Mary (Lindley) Endsley. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Endsley married Ida Mae Schwartz on June 22, 1941 in Huntington, IN. She preceded him in death on September 14, 1997.
Mr. Endsley was a Conductor on the Erie Railroad,Eric Lakawanna and Conrail Railroad. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Huntington, 721st. Railway Operating Battalion, Amity Lodge #483, Huntington, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Ft Wayne, Hapzim Shrine of Huntington, Mizpah Temple of Ft Wayne and the VFW Post 2689 in Huntington, IN.
He was a WWII Army Veteran.

Margaret (Smith Sutton) McCutcheon, 79, died Wednesday January 12, 2005 in Huntington, Indiana she was also a resident of Irish Lake in North Webster, IN.
Mrs. McCutcheon was born September 2, 1925 in Huntington, Indiana to Errett C. and Edith Eberhart Williams. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. McCutcheon married Harry Richard McCutcheon on March 15, 1969. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1994.
Mrs. McCutcheon was a homemaker. She was a 1943 graduate of Huntington Township High School. Past President of the VFW Ladies Aux Post 2689 in Huntington, IN.

Treva V. Abel, age 96, a resident of Persimmon Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Portland, Indiana, died Thursday afternoon at the care facility.
She was a former resident of 628 East Main Street in Portland and had lived for many years on a farm in Madison Township. She attended the Pleasant Hill Church on the Jay/Randolph County line where she was a member of the Lady’s Aide Society. She was also a member of the Widow to Widow Club.
Treva Abel was born October 28, 1911 in Madison Township, Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson & Hannah Alice (Conklin) Mays. She graduated from Madison Township High School with the Class of 1929. She was married December 9, 1933 to Glenn Abel. He died March 19, 1968.

Edward J. Bolich, age 91, a former resident of 208 East First Street in Ridgeville, Indiana, died early Sunday morning, March 16, 2008 at the Persimmon Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Portland, IN
He was a retired truck driver for Colonial Bread and Riggins Dairy, both of Muncie, Indiana.
Edward J. Bolich was born July 23, 1916 in Ann Arbor, Michigan the son of Frank and Mable (Rhodes) Bolich. He graduated from Central High School in Muncie, Indiana with the Class of 1934. He served with the U. S. Army during WW II. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church of Ridgeville, Indiana.
Edward J. Bolich was married November 11, 1945 to Elizabeth Ann Rausch. She died May 29, 1998. He is survived by:

Sharon K. Barbee, age 55, a resident of 1106 S. Meridian St., Portland died Sunday at Jay County Hospital.
She was a former resident of New Castle, moving to Portland in 1993. Sharon was a former employee of the Jay Randolph Developmental Center Work Center in Portland.
Sharon was born on February 1, 1953, in Indiana, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Barbee.

Treva E. Sutton, age 81, a resident of Arbor Trace Assisted Living in Richmond, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Arbor Trace. She was a former resident of Jackson Township, Jay County, Indiana and Williamsburg, Indiana.
Treva is the wife of Reverend Robert L. Sutton, who is a former minister of Union Chapel Church, west of Bryant. Treva was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church.
Treva was born on December 13, 1926, in Blackford County, Indiana, the daughter of Ross and Hannah (Vick) Teegarden. She graduated from Stony Creek High School in Randolph County with the class of 1945. Treva married Robert L. Sutton on February 15, 1947.

Bonnie K. Ludy, age 61, a resident of 1209 South Bridge Street in Portland, died early Saturday morning in the Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.
She was a member of The Rock Church of Portland and the Women of the Moose. She graduated from Portland High School with the Class of 1965. She then worked at CTS in Berne, IN for 30 years. She returned to school and earned her ASN in Nursing from Ball State University in 1995. She worked at Community Care East Nursing Home from 1995-1997; then at Miller’s Merry Manor of Dunkirk from 1997 to 1999; she then worked at St. Vincent Hospital in Winchester from Nov. of 1999 to May of 2007. She then worked for NRA in the Winchester and Ball Memorial Hospital until the present time.
Bonnie Ludy was born June 14, 1947 in Portland, IN the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Ridgeway) Ludy, Jr. She is survived by:

Carl was a former employee of GTE for 32 ½ years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Portland, Eastern Star of Union City for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Fort Wayne York Rite Knights Templar and the Moose Lodge of Winchester.
Carl Tucker was born on November 27, 1944, in Winchester, Indiana, the son of C. Leo and M. Marcielle (Deboy) Tucker. He graduated from Ward Jackson High School in Randolph County with the class of 1962.

Anna Belle was born on August 14, 1917, in Madison County, Indiana, the daughter of Samuel and Clara (Pine) Crump. She married Floyd Elliott on December 15, 1939, who died on November 29, 1955.
