Wiladean V. Davidson, age 91, 210 Northcrest Avenue, Huntington, died Sunday (December 3, 2006) at 1:02 a.m. at the Heritage of Huntington.
Mrs. Davidson retired after 27 years with Triad Utrad, Huntington, where she worked in accounting. Prior to that, she worked for Caswell Runyan from 1935 to 1956. A lifetime resident of Huntington, Wiladean was a member of the Huntington Church of the Brethren. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1933.
Mrs. Davidson was born October 4, 1915 in Huntington, to George F. and Iva Bell (Marshall) Steller. She married William A. “Bus” Davidson on October 15, 1949 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on January 11, 1992.
Survivors include several nephews and nieces. Her brother, Eugene Marshall Steller, and her sister, Merrial Tribly Richter, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 3 - 7 p.m. Tuesday (December 5, 2006) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday (December 6, 2006) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Christen Pettit Miller officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
Memorials should be sent to the Huntington Church of the Brethren in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Bud Detamore, age 80, of Andrews, died at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday (July 23, 2008) at his home residence.
Mr. Detamore was a lifetime resident of Huntington County and worked 24 years for the Huntington County Highway Department retiring in 1993. He was a Staff Sergeant during W.W. II with the United States Air Force. Bud was a member of the American Legion Post # 85 in Huntington and the Andrews Church of the Brethren.
Mr. Detamore was born on May 3, 1928 in Huntington County the son of Jasper L. and Bessie (Thrift) Detamore. He married Phyllis I. Bigelow on December 22, 1951 in Andrews, and she preceded him in death on December 25, 2005.
Survivors include his sister - Betty Dye of Kokomo, IN and caregivers - Mike and Fran Felts of Andrews, and Kathy Gibson of Ft. Wayne.
Visitation will be 3 -7 p.m. Sunday (July 27, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday (July 28, 2008) at the Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Jerry Felts officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County with the V.F.W. Post #2689 performing the military graveside rites.
Memorials may be made to the Parkview Home Health Care & Hospice in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive Huntington, IN.

Willadeen V. Moffitt., age 87, of 542 A Hitzfield Street, Huntington IN, died Friday (October 14, 2005) at 8:40 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Moffitt was a registered nurse who worked at Huntington Memorial Hospital for over 38 years and she retired in 1980.
Mrs. Moffitt was born on May 30, 1918 in Lancaster Township, Huntington County, the daughter of Walter J. Owen and Nora May (Paul) Owen. She married Robert P. Moffitt on June 15, 1957 in Huntington, he preceded her in death on June 10, 1969.
Mrs. Moffitt was a member of Loon Creek Church of the Brethren Huntington, IN. She was a 1942 Graduate of Manchester College with a B.A. degree in biology, and also a 1942 graduate with a R.N. degree of nursing from the Ft. Wayne Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing.
Survivors include one brother M.J. Owen of Pharr, TX, one nephew Robert J. Owen of Arlington, TX. One sister Wilma Owen precedes her in death.
There will be no visitation and no funeral service. Burial will be at a later date in the Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

Willia D. (Sexton) Feltner, age 72, of Huntington, died at 7:10 a.m. Thursday (June 5, 2008) at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.
Willia worked production at Essex and Dana plant in Andrews. She was employed there from 1962 until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Huntington.
Willia was born June 21, 1935 in Defiance, KY the daughter of Bruce and Cora (Thomas) Sexton. She married John C. Feltner on September 7, 1951 in Scuddy, Kentucky. John preceded her in death on December 14, 2000.
Survivors include a daughter - Anna (Everett) Standafer of Andrews, IN; a son - Michael J. (Amber) Feltner of Huntington; two brothers - Charles Sexton of St. Charles, Missouri and Sam Sexton of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, a sister - Margaret Adams, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday (June 9, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive Huntington, IN with Rev. Donald Arms officiating the service. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Andrews, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Hospice in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750.

William W. “Red” Edington, age 85, formerly of 931 Grayston Avenue, Huntington, died 2:56 p.m. Sunday (April 6, 2008) at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.
Mr. Edington retired in 1982 after 30 years with Conrail Railroad. Prior to that, he worked for Erie Railroad as a Master Carpenter. Red was a 60 plus year member of both the American Legion Post #7 and the V.F.W. Post # 2689 in Huntington. He loved fishing, gardening and hunting.
Red was born on September 21, 1922, in Allen County, IN the son of Charles Thomas and Minnie Bell (Hege) Edington. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the United States Navy. On April 11, 1942 in Huntington, Red married Vivian L. Chapin and she preceded him in death on May 9, 1994.
Survivors include one son - Steven W. (Raine) Edington of Huntington; one granddaughter - Kimberly Vollmar, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A daughter - Monta Rose Orr, brothers - Dale Edington and Everett Edington, Sisters - Nina Guther and Dorothy Melcham, and one infant grandson, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 3 - 7 p.m. Wednesday (April 9, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday (April 10, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Russell Buzzard officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, IN.

William F. Hartman, Jr., age 90, 5350 West Division Road, Huntington, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday (October 13, 2007) at his son’s home in Huntington.
Mr. Hartman was retired in 1977 from Fisher Body, in Marion, Indiana, after working 22 years in welder maintenance. He was a member of the American Legion Post #85 and the Eagles Lodge #823, in Huntington, the Fisher Body Sympathy Club and the United Automotive Workers Union, both in Marion, Indiana.
William was born on July 22, 1917, in Huntington, the son of William F. Hartman Sr. and Laura (Zwick) Hartman. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1935. He then married Naomi Louise Tubbs, July 16, 1951, in Hartford City, Indiana. She died December 27, 1995. They had been married for 44 years. William was a Corporal during WW II with the United States Army Air Force.
Survivors include his three sons - William F. Hartman, III of Ft. Wayne, IN, Richard L. Hartman of Huntington and Steven W. (Angie) Hartman of Huntington, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two sisters - Ruth Kaylor and Louise Minton, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 pm Tuesday (October 16, 2007) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. A graveside service will be at 10 am Wednesday (October 17, 2007) at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington.
Bailey-Love Mortuary is handling the arrangements and services.

William R. “Bill” Simmons, age 78, 1230 Condit Street, Huntington, died at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday (February 20, 2008) at his home.
Mr. Simmons retired from Huntington Laboratories where he worked for over 33 years in the shipping and receiving department. A veteran of the Korean War, William served as a Corporal in the United States Army.
William was born on July 21, 1929 in Flintville, Tennessee, the son of John D. and Minnie M. (Norris) Simmons. He married Helen V. Walters on June 19, 1953 in Huntington.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years - Helen V. Simmons of Huntington; two sons - Ronald K. Simmons of Warsaw, IN and David W. Simmons of Ft. Wayne; four daughters - Vickie Ham of Decatur, Robin Simmons of Canton, Ohio, Barbara (Mike) Fisher of Huntington and Tammy (Leslie) Fernandes of Hagertown, Maryland; one brother - Leon Wayne (Janet) Simmons of Huntington; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Seven Brothers - Horace Simmons, Donald Simmons, Guy Simmons, Hudane Simmons, Roy Simmons, Crawford Simmons and Leo Simmons; and six sisters - Lorren Simmons, Elizabeth Boggs, Odell Gray, Reatha Hanline, Carline Bartlett and Lela Heath preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Friday (February 22, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Friday (February 22, 2008) at the Bailey-Love Mortuary with Captain Sally Sell officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory, Huntington County with military graveside services provided by the V.F.W. Post #2689.

Wilma Grace Bicknell, age 68, died Sunday (August 14, 2005) at 4:45 pm at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.
Mrs. Bicknell was a former Certified Nurse’s Assistant in Gainsville, FL and had also worked at the Y.M.C.A. in Marion. She will be remembered for her piano playing and arts and crafts. She graduated from Elkhart High School in 1954 and a 1982 graduate of Dorsey Business College in Trenton, MI. A resident of Huntington since 2001, she was a member of the Faith Community Church of God in Huntington. She was also a former resident of North Manchester, IN.
Mrs. Bicknell was born the daughter of Annon J. Miller and Cathleene (Neely) Dunn on November 21, 1936 in Concord Township, Elkhart County, IN.
Survivors include 3 sons - Chuck Harris (Karen) of Markle, IN, Daniel Lee (Dawn) Harris of Auburn, IN and Keith (Jeanette) Harris of Claypool, IN; 1 brother - Annon Miller of Mishawaka, IN; and 10 grandchildren. Sisters, Betty Rinke and Allene Reaves, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 9 - 11 am Wednesday (August 17, 2005) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 11 am Wednesday (August 17, 2005) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Stephen Stull officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Elkhart, IN.
Contributions in memory of Wilma Grace Bicknell may be made to the Cancer Services for Huntington County or to the Faith Community Church of God in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750.

Wilma Maxine Keith, age 90, 801 Huntington Avenue, Warren, IN, died Wednesday (October 19, 2005) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, IN.
Mrs. Keith retired from Food Giant in Tucson, AZ where she worked for over 12 years as a cashier. Prior to that, she worked for A & P Grocery Store in Huntington for 20 years. Mrs. Keith, a resident of Huntington County for most of her life, attended Charity Baptist Church.
Mrs. Keith was born April 8, 1915, in Rock Creek Township, Huntington, IN, the daughter of the late Troy L. and Mabel Pearl (Hiatt) Hite. She married Dale H. Keith on May 6, 1934 in Huntington, IN and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1987. Mrs. Keith was a 1934 graduate of Jefferson Township High School.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law - William T. and Sally Keith of North Webster, IN; a daughter and son-in-law - Bonnie and Jack Conrad of Tucson, AZ; a brother - Donald Hite of Okeechobee, FL; a sister - Louise Walter of Huntington, IN; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A sister, Edna Mae Hite, preceded her in death.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington County.
Memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana or the United Methodist Memorial Home Scholarship Fund in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750.

Wilma E. Shuman, age 81, of rural LaFontaine in Wayne Township, Huntington County, died Friday (March 31, 2006) at 10:22 a.m. at the Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Shuman was a homemaker and remained active with her husband in their farming operation in Huntington and Wabash Counties. She retired from her Farm & Business Income Tax and Accounting Service. Mrs. Shuman also was employed with the Huntington Township School System as secretary, treasurer, and bookkeeper for many years. A lifetime resident of Huntington County, Mrs. Shuman was a member of the Church of the Brethren. She and her husband served as volunteers for Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home for 25 years.
Mrs. Shuman was born on April 4, 1924, in Lancaster Township, Huntington County, the daughter of Osvun Wolket and Iva M. (Cook) Sanger. Wilma graduated from Huntington Township High School in 1942. She married Charles A. Shuman on November 21, 1948 in Huntington.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years - Charles A. Shuman and one daughter - Mrs. James C. (Nancy) Breiner of Huntington County. A sister, Wilodean E. Metzger, and a grandson, Scott C. Breiner, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 10 - Noon on Monday (April 3, 2006) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 12 pm (noon) on Monday (April 3, 2006) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Glenn Mulligan officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Services for Huntington County or to the American Heart Association in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive Huntington, IN.

Zelda R. Sonner Vardaman, age 87, 6421 Hillside Oaks Drive, Ft. Wayne, died Wednesday (November 1, 2006) at 12:58 a.m. at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne.
Mrs. Vardaman was a bookkeeper for the former La Fontaine Hotel and Omega Restaurant retiring in 1974. A resident of Roanoke and Markle for most of her life, Zelda graduated from Roanoke High School in 1938.
Mrs. Vardaman was born June 5, 1919 in Huntington to Fred Elmer and Fern (Patten) Sonner. She married Ralph E. Vardaman in 1945 in Ft. Wayne, IN. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2005.
Survivors include two daughter - Pamela Wall of Huntington and Paula (Richard) Miller of Ft. Wayne, IN; one sister - Willadean Ketterman of Ft. Wayne, IN; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A brother - Fred Elmer Sonner, Jr., sister - Monah Langston, and grandson - Randy Nichols, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday (November 3, 2006) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday (November 4, 2006) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Howard Cherry officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke, IN.
Memorials should be sent to the Charity of Donor’s Choice in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Dale F. Baker
December 1, 1948 - June 19, 2007
Dale F. Baker, 58, of Plymouth, IN died at 7:51AM on June 19, 2007 at St.
Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Dale was born on Dec. 1, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN to Larry and Marjorie
(Shotts) Baker. Dale was 1967 graduate of Elston High School in
Michigan City and an electrical engineering graduate of Purdue University.
He worked at NIPSCO for 37 1/2 yrs. after having served in the US Army,
serving in Vietnam with the Blue Ghost Squadron.
He was a Past White Hat Commander of the Finney-Shilling VFW Post
6919 in Culver, serving in that role from 1990 - 1992. He was also a
member of the American Legion and the Federation of Eagles. His two
great passions were gardening and kayaking. He was also a master
gardener and enjoyed landscaping.
On May 15, 1998 he married Donna Pennington in Plymouth. She
survives along with his daughter - Noelle Baker of LaPorte, IN, and
grandsons Ian & Zoren Baker, stepchildren - Jeremy (Nichol) Pennington
of Culver and step daughter - Misty Craft of Bowling Green, KY. Other
survivors include brothers - Terry (Kathy) Baker of Springport, MI, Stu
(Martha) Baker of Marshall, MI, and Ross (Laura) Baker of Tualatin, OR,
and sisters Jayellen (Mike) Johnston of Dugger, IN, and Lorry (Ron)
Klinger of Boon, MI, and 3 step-grandchildren - Justin and Shanna Craft
and Haley Pennington. He was preceded in death by his father Larry.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the
Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver from 2:00 - 8:00PM EST. Funeral
services will be held on Sat. June 23, 2007 at 10:00AM EST at the funeral
home with intermenty following at the Culver Masonic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Finney-Shilling VFW Post 6919.

Dominic J.D. Bean, 12 day old infant son of Daniel Bean and Renee Medunic of Culver,
Indiana, died at on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis,
Indiana.
Dominic was born on June 15, 2007 in South Bend, Indiana.
He is survived by his father - Daniel Bean of Culver, Indiana, mother - Renee Medunic of Culver,
Indiana, paternal grandfather - Wayne (Kim) Bean of Plymouth, Indiana, paternal grandmother -
Dian Wise of Mears, Michigan, maternal grandmother - Susan Medunic of Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania and maternal great-grandfather - Paul Medunic of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He
was preceded in death by paternal grandfather - John Medunic, paternal great-grandparents,
Clifford and Lela Bean, Brother, Ethan Scott, and maternal great-grandmother - Madaline
Medunic.
Visitation will be at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Culver, IN on Sunday, July 1, 2007
from 1:00 - 2:00PM EST. Father Glenn Kohrman will officiate the service which will take place
at 2:00 PM EST on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at St. Mary's of the Lake, Culver, Indiana. Interment
will be private.
Memorial contributions may be given to the March of Dimes.

Lucille A. Bennett, 91 of , Culver, Indiana, died at 4:45PM on , July 19, 2008 at Miller's Merry Manor in
Culver, Indiana.
Lucy was born to Edward and Fay (Carpenter) Woodward on January 4, 1917 in Culver, Indiana. She
was married in 1934 to C. Arthur Bennett.
Lucy is survived by her sons - Michael A. (Catherine) Bennett of Plymouth, Indiana, and Lawrence
(Sandra) Bennett of Bremen, Indiana, daughter - Connie Mangus of Victorville, California, sisters -
Pauline Archambeault of Orland, California, Gayla R. Uhler of Palm Desert, California, Violet M.
Mikesell of Culver, Indiana, and Susanna E. Kemple of Culver, Indiana, and 6 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband - C. Arthur Bennett, both parents, 5 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00PM on July 23, 2008 at the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home Culver,
Indiana. Rev. Robin Keating will officiate the service which will take place at 11:00AM on July 24,
2008 at Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver, Indiana. Interment will follow at the Culver Masonic
Cemetery in Culver, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or Grace United Church of
Christ.
