WINAMAC -- Arden Scheffer, 73, of 5925N 200E, Monterey, died at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 1999, in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital, Carmel.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
Frain Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
John P. Anderson Jr.
DENVER -- John Patrick Anderson Jr., 25, of Twelve Mile, died at 11:39 p.m. Thursday, June 17, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Arrangements are pending at McClain Funeral Home.
Douglas H. Beall
Graveside services for Douglas H. Beall, 77, of Midway, Texas, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
Mr. Beall died at 10:44 a.m. Friday, June 18, 1999, in the emergency room of Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born June 4, 1922, in Vigo County, he was the son of Frank and Virginia Fritz.
Mr. Beall was a retired truck driver.
Surviving are one daughter, Cindy Murphy, Peoria, Ariz.; one brother, Harold Beall, Logansport; one granddaughter, Lynn Greenmyer; one grandson, John Douglas Murphy; one great-granddaughter, Kaeleigh Greenmyer; one great-grandson, Hayden Greenmyer; and two nephews, Dan and Robert Beall.
The Rev. Donald L. Ruhl will officiate at the services.
There will be no visitation.

John Patrick Anderson Jr.
DENVER -- Services for John Patrick Anderson Jr., 25, of Twelve Mile, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in McClain Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson died at 11:35 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 1999, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Born June 3, 1974, in Kokomo, he was the son of John Patrick Anderson Sr., Twelve Mile, and Patty Jo Weller, Bunker Hill.
He was an avid fisherman.
Also surviving are one sister, Laura Anderson, Twelve Mile; two half brothers, Eric Avery, Kokomo, and Ben Taylor, Bunker Hill; and grandparents Mary Weller and Eugene and Jane Anderson, all of Twelve Mile.
Tom Wheeler will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery, Twelve Mile.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Helen L. Church
Helen L. Church, 83, of 300 Cass Plaza, died at 1:03 p.m. Saturday at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Arrangements are pending at Fisher Funeral Chapel.
Gladys L. Harmon
PERU -- Services for Gladys L. Harmon, 86, of 150 W. Warren St., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harmon died at 5 p.m. Friday, June 18, 1999, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
The Revs. Tony Winter and Ron Shaner will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Cass County.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Donna K. Pace
LAFAYETTE -- A funeral Mass for Donna K. Pace, 50, of 325 Plateau Drive, will be held at 7 p.m. today in St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Mrs. Pace died at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 1999, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Born Aug. 19, 1948, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Fred and Norma Little Brown. On June 26, 1976, she was married in Holy Trinity Church to Ronald G. Pace, who survives.
Mrs. Pace, who attended Logansport High School, lived in Lafayette 30 years. She was an interior designer and sales person, retiring in the fall of 1997.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Also surviving are two daughters, Misty K. Samman and Jennifer K. Prange, both of Lafayette; one son, Ronald S. Corcoran, Lafayette; one stepdaughter, Melissa D. Mills, Bedford; three sisters, Connie Scales, Logansport, Rebecca Helmar, Derry, N.H., and Mona Witherington, Macon, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
The Rev. Robert Klemme will officiate at the funeral Mass. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call two hours before the services today in the cathedral.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Donelda I. Wilder
ROCHESTER -- Services for Donelda I. Wilder, 75, of 3122 Barrett Road, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Foster & Good Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilder died at 3 a.m. Friday in her residence.
Born June 1, 1924, in Morenci, Mich., she was the daughter of Merlyn and Pearl Keller Spencer. On July 26, 1943, she was married in Morenci to Cloyd William Wilder, who died Dec. 16, 1990.
A resident of Rochester since January 1992, Mrs. Wilder moved to the community from Bayonet Point, Fla.
She was a homemaker and former member of the United Methodist Church, Winamac.
Surviving are one daughter, Judith Irene Lange, and her husband, Carroll, Winamac; one son, Bill Wilder, Rochester; eight grandchildren, Kathi Lange, Chris Lange, Deb Lange-Doering, Sabrina Wilder, Marsha Fagan, Paul Wilder, Sheri Tunis and Wanda Coffin; 10 1/2 great-grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Berryhill, and her husband, Ken, Florida; one brother, Merlyn "Bud" Spencer Jr., and his wife, Sue, Michigan.
One grandson, John Wilder, and one sister, Caroline Schoonover, preceded in death.
The Rev. Paul Commons will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today and one hour before the services Monday in the funeral home.
Alice A. Aikman
PERU -- Private graveside services for Alice A. Aikman, 67, of 1950 North Old Orchard Drive, Seymour, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Cass County.
She died at 5 p.m. Friday, June 18, 1999, at her residence.
The Rev. Tom Robbins will officiate at the services.
There will be no visitation.

Helen L. Church
Services for Helen L. Church, 83, of 300 Cass Plaza, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
She died at 1:03 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 1999, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born April 1, 1916, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Orville and Lydia Smith Reed. She was married in 1944 to Jesse Rivers, who died in 1960. On July 18, 1964, she was married to William Church, who died Dec. 28, 1976.
Mrs. Church was a member of Ninth Street Christian Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, beloved cat and bingo.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Richardson, Logansport; one son, Robert Reed, Logansport; one brother, William Reed, Burrows; two sisters, Betty Maxwell, Logansport, and Jean Elliott, Beaver Dams, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Linda Tyler, preceded in death.
The Rev. Jim Beaumont will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and until the time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.
Linda M. Stover
ROYAL CENTER -- Private family services for Linda M. Stover, 54, of Twelve Mile, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Harrison-Metzger Funeral home, Royal Center Chapel.
She died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 1999, in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital, Carmel.
Born Aug. 11, 1944, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Harry H. and Genevieve V. Moore Williams. On March 11, 1972, in Metea, she was married to Ronald F. Stover, who survives.
Mrs. Stover had been employed as a seamstress at Gossard and at Hart, Schaffner & Marx. Most recently, she was employed milking cows at the Terry Dillman dairy.
She also was a member of the Metea Baptist Church.
Also surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brian Stover, and Todd and Christine Stover, all of Twelve Mile.
Pastor Steve A. Robinson will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Metea Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
E. Annette Miller Miller
DELPHI -- Services for E. Annette Miller Miller, 67, of 414 W. Summit St., will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Abbott Funeral Home.
She died at 8:31 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 1999, in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
The Rev. Ellis Gasser will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Pyrmont Cemetery, Pyrmont.

Douglas E. Sydor
LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. -- Memorial services for Douglas Edward Sydor, 51, of Lake Winnebago, Mo., will be held at 7 p.m. today in Langsford Funeral Home, 115 W. Third St., Lee’s Summit.
He died Friday, June 18, 1999, after a long illness.
Born Jan. 28, 1948, in Worcester, Mass., he was the son of Edward J. and Mildred Sydor. On Nov. 2, 1970, he was married to Alice Stocker, who survives.
Mr. Sydor was a graduate of Grosse Ile High School, Grosse Ile, Mich., and the Michigan Technological University. He was owner and president of Wolverine Fluid Power, Inc., Raytown, Mo.
Also surviving are his parents, Edward and Mildred Sydor, Logansport; a son, William Douglas Sydor, Lake Winnebago, Mo.; and a brother, Neil Sydor, Sewickley, Penn.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Douglas H. Beall
Graveside services for Douglas H. Beall, 77, of Midway, Texas, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 5, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.

James W. Kraay
Services for James William Kraay, 92, of 7767W 100N, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 9:40 a.m. Monday, June 21, 1999, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 18, 1906, in Danforth, Ill., he was the son of Arthur W. and Drusilla Strait Kraay. Near Lake Cicott on Feb. 20, 1932, he was married to Mary E. Barr, who died Aug. 19, 1995.
He was a retired farmer and former member of the board of directors for Farm Bureau, and he was a former Cass County Corn Husker Champion.
A member of Pisgah Christian Church, he held several offices and positions there.
Jim enjoyed farming and helping his friends and neighbors.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, J. Stanley and Carolyn Kraay, Logansport; two daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Cecil Trapp, Logansport, and Betsy and Jim Harris, Indianapolis; one brother, Howard Kraay, Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Florence High, Kankakee, Ill., and Edna Williamson, Logansport; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A son, Jerry William Kraay, five brothers, one sister and two great-grandchildren preceded in death.
Pastor John Dixon will officiate at the services. Burial will be Pisgah Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pisgah Christian Church.
Harriet B. Kniesly
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Memorial services for Harriet B. Conners Kniesly, 86, of Charlotte, were held June 16 in Providence Community Church in Charlotte.
Mrs. Kniesly, widow of former Logansport educator Norbert Kniesly, died Friday, June 11, 1999, in her residence.
