Surviving are a son, George T. of Indianapolis; a daughter, Ruth Brown of Butler; and four grandchildren. Her husband, James A., preceded her in death. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Butler, with calling one hour before services. Calling is also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo. Vinita Awlean Lewis, 83, of Houston and formerly of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at home.
"You will always be with us and forever in our hearts." The Oklahoma City native moved to Houston in 2001 and was a member of Fort Wayne Faith United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Lawrence; three children; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services are 12:30 p.m. Friday at Veterans Administration in Houston.

Elizabeth Catherine Brown, 82, of Huntington County, a native of Mutual, Okla., died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002.

Cora Susan O'Dell, 96, of Beavercreek, Ohio, a member of Maineville United Methodist Church, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Trinity Community of Beavercreek.
She was retired from General Electric Co. in Fort Wayne after 25 years of service. Surviving are a daughter, Vesta Ferguson of Arizona; sons Maurice Bacon of Beavercreek and William Charleston of North Carolina; a brother, Virlin Myers of Indiana; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands Harold O'Dell, Arch Charleston and Filo Snider, five daughters and one son. Myrtle Bell Triechman, 93, of Coldwater, Mich., and formerly of Fremont, Ind., died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Laurels of Coldwater.
The Fremont, Ind., native was a homemaker, a former waitress and had been an Avon representative. She was of the Catholic faith. Surviving are nieces Louise Loomis of Geneva, Ind., Laurene Towers of Hamilton, Ind., and Murna Courtad of Traverse City; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and brothers Jay and Lee Brown. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Ind., with calling from noon until services. Marian E. Snyder, 88, of Albion and Frostproof, Fla., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at home in Frostproof.
The Ludington, Mich., native had worked for Knape and Vogt Manufacturer in Grand Rapids, Mich., as a machine operator. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Frostproof and Woman's International Bowling Congress. Surviving are daughters Marilyn Barney and Patricia Thompson, both of Fort Myers, Fla.; stepdaughters Evelyn Rimmell of Albion and Luann Beucler of Churubusco; a son, James R. Geigle of Fort Myers, Fla.; a stepson, Ray D. of Albion; sisters Neva Brugh of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Dorothy Cook of Boca Raton, Fla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert H., died Feb. 16. Services are 2 p.m. today at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Frostproof, Fla. Burial will be in Fort Myers, Fla.

James Thomas Kerns
James Thomas Kerns, 79, of Ken-dallville, a 1,500-hour volunteer at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at home.
The Charleston, W.Va., native retired from United Airlines after 25 years of service and had worked from 1956 to 1971 in Fort Wayne as a customer services manager. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 296 in Fort Wayne, was an avid golfer and a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran. Surviving are his wife, Jane; daughters Elizabeth Kerns of London and Virginia Kerns of Williamsburg, Va.; sisters Anne Miller of Baltimore and Mary Dosa of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren. Services are 2 p..m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Kendallville. Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Berhalter-Hutchins Funeral Home, Kendallville. Surviving are a daughter, Cecelia Flagal of Hicksville; sons Roy Glass of Napoleon and David Dillon of Chicago; a brother, Frank Wagner of Altoona, Pa., 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
