Aaron Norwood

1985-2003

Mr. Norwood was born on February 9, 1985, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late Timothy H. Norwood and Charlyn F. (Hendricks) Norwood Miller who survives and resides in Lebanon.

From Indianapolis, Aaron moved with his family to Lebanon in 1992. He attended and was a member of R.O.T.C. at the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home in Knightstown for the five years prior to his senior year at Lebanon. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 2003.

He had worked part time for his family at Petro’s Tire Service in Lebanon. He had played in Little League in Lebanon. He had been interested in 4-H and cattle shows and had received numerous ribbons and awards for his participation in various shows.

Memberships: Lebanon Christian Church at Lebanon, Indiana

Officiating: Harry Pitts, Minister (He prefers that his name appear as it does here)

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Interment will be at Oak Hill in Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation is planned for 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon.

MRS. ROXIE BIGGERSTAFF ANTLE

Date of death: Sunday, February 15, 2004

Place of death: Sagecrest Alzheimer’s Care Center in San Angelo, Texas

Cause of Death: Natural Causes

Mrs. Antle was born north of Kirklin, in Clinton County, Indiana on December 16, 1916, and was the daughter of the late Oder and Bertha (Bogan) Gregg.

From early childhood, Mrs. Antle lived in the Lebanon community, most of the time in Lebanon. She was a 1935 graduate of Lebanon High School. She attended Central Business College in Indianapolis. She worked for two periods at the Boone County R.E.M.C.; 6 years after her first husband’s death; and 1961-1984, for a total of almost 29 years. She retired in 1984.

Her first marriage was to Howard Mosebaugh on November 30, 1936, and he died on February 1, 1941. She was married to Al Biggerstaff on October 16, 1948, and he died on February 1, 1986. She was married on April 3, 1987, in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida to Herman E. Antle. Mr. Antle died on April 22, 1995.

Mrs. Antle was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed her family, sewing, and the activities of the Shrine Horse Patrol in which Mr. Biggerstaff had been an active participant.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2004, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation is planned for Thursday, February 19, 2004, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon.

Interment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.

Paula Sue Ashley

1955-2003

Miss. Ashley was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 21, 1955, the daughter of Paul William and Marthanna (Wissler) Ashley. Mr. Ashley survives.

She was reared and educated in Cambridge City, Indiana where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973. She graduated from Miami Jacobs Business College in Dayton, Ohio in 1975 with an Associate Degree as a paralegal.

Ms. Ashley worked in Indianapolis, Indiana at Bank One as an Administrative Assistant in the Trust Department for 24years.

She enjoyed her family and knitting

Private Services for family are planned.

Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, Indiana is handling arrangements.

Enurnment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana

No visitation will be held.

Mrs. Barton was born in Boone County west of Jamestown, Indiana on December 30, 1937, a daughter of the late James Bowen and Mabel Florence (Snider) Bowen who survives.

She spent most of her life in Boone County. In addition, she lived for periods in Darling, Waveland, and Decatur, Georgia.

She graduated from Dover High School in 1956.

She was married on October 26, 1958 to Clifford Charles Woodard and they divorced in 1965. She was married on November 26, 1967 in Lebanon, Indiana to Harry Dean Barton and they divorced in 1978.

Mrs. Barton was a mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, sewing, crocheting, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and scrap book collections.

Officiating: Pastor Jack Stanley

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation will be Monday, February 23, 2004, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon.

Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery west of Lebanon, Indiana.

Cleo Pauline Wood

Cleo Pauline Wood, 86, Frankfort, formerly of Thorntown, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at the Clinton House in Frankfort, where she lived for the past 5 years.

Born March 6, 1918, in Tipton, she was the daughter of Thomas and Sara Elizabeth (Puckett) Redman.

On Aug. 31, 1935, she married Delbert Clair Wood.

She worked for 20 years as a nurse's aid at the Methodist Home, in Warren, retiring in 1981. She attended school in Tipton and also lived in Warren.

Survivors are three sons and daughters-in-law, Delbert Don and Maryland Wood, Frankfort, Ricahrd C. and Becky Wood, Akron, Ohio, Jerry W. and Marjorie Wood, Washington, D.C.; a sister, Valta Purcifull, North Manchester; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters.

Graveside service is 3 p.m. in the Tetersburg Cemetery, Tipton, with the Rev. Lee Mangold officiating.

Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association with envolopes available at the funeral home.

Ralph A. Walker

Ralph A. Walker, 82, Mulberry, died at 12:07 a.m. Sunday, March 28, 2004, in St. Vincent Hospital, Carmel, following a prolonged illness.

Born April 27, 1920, in Indianapolis, he was he son of Ralph E. and Grace M. (Deckard) Walker.

On March 1, 1946 he married Betty L. Irwin, in Frankfort. She survives.

He lived in Mulberry since 1975. Previously, he resided in Rossville for seven years, and on a farm in Clay Township, Carroll County, north of Rossville, for 18 years.

He grew up in Frankfort and attended Frankfort High School.

He was employed by Norfolk Souther Railroad for 41 years, working out of the Frankfort yards. He retired in 1980. He also farmed for 18 years, north of Rossville. He was a member of the Thorntown Baptist Church.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph David and Paula Walker, Terre Haute; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Kay and Randy Shanks, Delphi; six grandchildren, Angie Wildermood, Shandra Whitmore, Alicia and Melissa Walker and Amber and Travis Shanks; five great-grandchildren, Ian and Mason Wildermood, Alex, Joshua and Katelynn Whitmore; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marie Hill, Noblesville, Violet and Joe Riczo, Indianapolis.

Service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, in Bodine Funeral Home, 204 N. Glick St., Mulberry, with the Rev. Denver Fields officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Thorntown Baptist Church, 120 S. Powell St., Thorntown, IN. 46071.
