Mr. Curtis was born on September 24, 1924, in Big Flat, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Lewis and Roxie (Wooten) Curtis.
He was married on November 21, 1953, in Hernando, Mississippi, to Ruth (Roberson) Curtis. She survives.
He was reared and educated in Big Flat, Arkansas. He served two periods in the United States Army during World War II. Following his discharge in 1946, he returned to Big Flat and then lived in Memphis, Tennessee until he moved to Lebanon, Indiana in 1957.
Mr. Curtis was self employed as the owner of Curtis Dry Wall in Lebanon for forty years.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Curtis enjoyed fishing, gardening, and sports.

Funeral Services are to be held on Thursday, August 26, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2004.
Interment will follow graveside military rites at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Mrs. Carpenter was born in Martinsville, Indiana, on June 27, 1920, a daughter of the late Vinest and Sophia (Martin) Vest.
Mrs. Carpenter was married in Indianapolis, on September 28, 1944, to Cecil Carlisle Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter died April 20, 1994.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed fishing.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2003, at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.

Iris Marie Dale
Mrs. Dale was born in Wisconsin on March 11, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Johnson) Flitcraft.
Mrs. Dale was reared and educated in the Peru area and was a graduate of Mexico High School.
She was married to Albert Russell ”Spud” Dale in Peru, Indiana on June 5, 1938. Mr. Dale died on November 3, 1984.
During World War II she was an employee at Winkler Corporation producing shells to supply the troops. She went to beauty school and operated a beauty shop following in the1940’s. She and Mr. Dale resided in the Waugh community 1952-1964 and moved to Lebanon in 1964 where she had since resided.
She enjoyed her family, cooking, and was an avid euchre player and liked playing cards.

Mrs. Martha Jean Dale was born in Boone County, Indiana on September 23, 1923, the daughter of the late Clarence H. and Martha Shaw.
Mrs. Dale was reared and educated in the Thorntown and was a graduate of Thorntown High School.
She was married to Gerald W. Dale on June 6, 1942. Mr. Dale died on July 27, 1996.
She was employed as a clerical worker at the Nay Insurance Agency in Thorntown. She worked for a number of years as a secretary for the Thorntown Telephone Company where she retired in the1980’s.
She enjoyed her family, home, and gardening.

Interment will follow at the Cox Cemetery in Boone County, Indiana.

She was married Gerald H. Voorhies on January 1, 1946 and they divorced in 1963. She was married in Lebanon, Indiana on March 21, 1969, to Archie Merlin David. Mr. David survives.
She was reared and educated in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1938. She resided in Lebanon most of her life. After High School she attended Ball State University and the Indiana University Extension in Indianapolis. She resided for periods in Indianapolis, Cleveland, Detroit, Kansas City. She held various clerical positions and including eight years with the Montgomery Ward Company and she worked for fifteen years in Lebanon at the Wood Wholesale Company. She retired from the Indianapolis firm of Gold Line Company in 1982.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, Great Grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. David enjoyed her family, craftwork, quilting, reading and tutoring dyslexic students.

Ms. Davidson was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on March 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Leland George and Dorothy Elizabeth (Belt) Campbell.
A life resident of Boone County, she was reared and educated in Washington Township and attended Lebanon High School.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed by Thorntown Textile in Thorntown and the Koala Center in Lebanon for several years prior to 1990.
She was married to Daniel J. Kremer in 1954 and he died in 1963. She was later married to Raymond Davidson, deceased, and last to Alton Browning.
In addition to her family she enjoyed camping, playing cards, crocheting, and spending time with family and neighbors.

Funeral Services will be held at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, on Thursday, May 20, 2004, at 1:00 p.m.
Visitation is planned for Thursday, May 20, 2004, from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon.
Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.

John Barton Davis

Mr. Davis was born in Clinton County, Indiana on March 28, 1928. He was the son of the late Barton Benson and Ruth Pauline (Clouser) Davis.
He was married in Thorntown, Indiana on July 28, 1951, to Jacqueline L. “Jackie” (Millikan) Davis. Mrs. Davis survives.
He was a 1946 graduate of Thorntown High School and attended Canterbury College in Danville, Indiana. He served in the United States Army from September 1946 thru March 1948. He received the World War II Victory Medal and an Army of Occupation Medal for Japan.
He worked in Thorntown at the family’s Sinclair Service Station following service. He then became an employee of Kroger and Company and worked in several capacities becoming a store manager. He was manager in Lafayette, Crawfordsville, Danville, Illinois, again in Lafayette, and then in Lebanon. He retired in 1979 after twenty-eight years of loyal service to Krogers. He spent fifteen years, 1988-2003, cabinet making. He spent several years working with his son-in-law, John Dale, at The Cabinet Makers in Lebanon.
He took great pride in his family and enjoyed traveling and entertaining his children, grandchildren and great grandson. He liked to walk the beaches with grandchildren helping them to explore the many interesting items to be found in the surf. He also played golf, fished, and liked to garden. As he laughed, loved and played with his family, Mr. Davis received his wish to be at home surrounded by his family when his life came to an end.

Memorial Services and military rites are to be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Myers Chapel of Memories.
Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Visitation will also follow the service until 7:30 p.m.
Cremation is planned.
