Joseph P. LaBolle
A native of Lebanon, Mr. LaBolle was born on December 13, 1925, the son of the late Joseph P. LaBolle, Sr. and Hazel (Caldwell) LaBolle.
In Shelby County, Indiana on October 11, 1944, Mr. LaBolle was married to Mary Elizabeth “Libby” (Krise) LaBolle. Mrs. LaBolle died on March 9, 2004.
As a life resident of Lebanon Mr. LaBolle attended Lebanon High School. He was employed as a railroad engineer having worked for New York Central and Penn Central Railroads. He last was an employee of Conrail where he retired in 1985.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. LaBolle enjoyed his family, friends, wood crafts, gardening, reading, and crossword puzzles.

Robert C. LaFollette
1926-2003
Mr. LaFollette was born on July 11, 1926, in Boone County, Indiana, the son of the late Glenn E. and Beulah Dawn (Patterson) LaFollette.
Mr. LaFollette was a life-resident of Boone County. He was a 1944 graduate of Dover High School where he had lettered in basketball and played the tuba in the Jazz Band. He remained active in the Dover Boosters Club and as a school board member.
He was married to Rosemary (Black) LaFollette and they divorced. He was married to Martha Ellen (Small) Isert LaFollette who survives.
As a farmer he operated LaFollette Farms, Seeds, and Chemicals. At one time he had also operated LaFollette Trucking.
He had been a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. LaFollette served eight years on the Western Boone School Board.

Kenneth Rhea Lane
Mr. Lane was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on February 10, 1931. He was the son of Earl Sanford and Edith (Duff) Lane. His mother died shortly after delivering Kenneth. He was reared by his step mother, Mabel Ruth Graham Lane who married his father.
He was a life resident of Boone County and graduated from Dover High School in 1949.
He was married to Thelma M. (Warren) Lane on August 26, 1950, in Boone County and she died on March 17, 1990. In Lebanon on September 1, 1990, he was married to Martha Ann “Marty” (Nieman) Lane. Mrs. Lane survives.
In March 1951 he entered the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was stationed in Rantoul, Illinois and Okinawa, Japan and served through December 1954. He worked on B29 engines and was a teaching instructor.
He was a farmer all of his career and had livestock for many years as well as being a grain farmer. He retired in 1993 due to his health.
He was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed woodcrafts, square dancing, canoeing, fishing, playing cards, pool, and horse shoe pitching. He enjoyed living on the farm and eating anything sweet. Mr. Lane had a long tenure of forty years serving as an elected Republican member of the Jefferson Township Advisory Board.
Memberships: As a charter member, Mr. Lane was one of seven that founded the One Way Christian Church west of Lebanon where he was serving as a deacon.

Larry L. Lutes
1936-2003
Mr. Lutes was born on November 8, 1936, near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late Raymond and Helen Winifred (Asbury) Lutes.
Mr. Lutes was born in Wisconsin and moved at age two to Coalmont, Indiana near Jasonville. He graduated from Coalmont High School in 1955.
He was married on June 10, 1956, in Linton, Indiana to Beverly Ruth (French) Lutes. Mrs. Lutes survives.
Mr. Lutes moved to Indianapolis and lived there until he moved to the present rural Lebanon address in 1973.
He had done a variety of work and spent twenty-nine years as a policeman for the Indianapolis Police Department where he retired in May 1994.
He had been a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed his family and particularly his grandchildren. He also enjoyed HO Model Trains, computers, gardening, and the out-of-doors.

Mary Florence (Tanner) Leigh died Friday, February 29, 2008, at Parkwood Health Care Center, Lebanon, where she was a resident. She was born April 27, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN.
She was a devoted grandmother and an avid Cubs fan. She was loved and well known for sharing stories about her life as a military wife living in Europe, and for her ever cheerful and upbeat personality. She is best remembered for being a study hall teacher at Lebanon Sr. High School - she was the funny one. She attended Otterbein United Methodist Church.
She married George Karl Leigh on October 16, 1952 who preceded her in death along with parents Hugh H Tanner and Maude R (Hawkins). She is survived by her brother Hugh William Tanner and wife Connie of Pensacola, FL; children Shirley Ann Neal of Lebanon; James (Alex) Leigh and wife Wendy of Camberwell Vic, Australia; and daughter-in-law Liz Leigh of Logansport, IN; and grandchildren Ryan Douglas Butner of Lebanon; and Chelsie Danielle and Emma Caitlin Leigh of Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 3rd at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4th at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Rev. Danny Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
Memorials may be made to Boone County Senior Services Inc, 515 Crown Pointe Dr., Lebanon.

Mrs. Levy was born on October 7, 1925, in Blytheville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late John W. and Julia Ann (Chadwick) Toland.
She was married in 1946, to Arthur M. Jones in Marion, Arkansas and he died in 1981. She was married in Lebanon on November 9, 1992, to William R. Levy and he died on January 24, 1994. She has been the companion of Raymond Eugene Bennington since 1998.
Mrs. Levy was raised in Arkansas and at age fourteen she moved to live in Memphis, Tennessee. She also resided in Cedrick, Oklahoma, Long Beach, California, and Marianna, Arkansas until she moved to live in Lebanon in 1960. She had resided in Boone County since and had been at the present Whitestown address since 1998.
She worked in various capacities as a hospital aide and caregiver.
A devoted wife mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting and fishing.

Mr. Lewis was born near Vevay, Indiana, in Ohio County, Indiana, on September 10, 1916, the son of the late Edgar R. and Zora (Ricketts) Lewis.
He was married in Madison, Indiana on December 17, 1938, to Veatrice (Bate) Lewis. Mrs. Lewis survives.
Mr. Lewis spent several of his early years in Switzerland County near Vevay, Indiana, where he farmed until he entered the Army in 1945. Following discharge in 1947, he moved to Thorntown in Boone County. In 1974 he moved to Lebanon.
He worked for several years at the Hicks Body Company. As a carpenter, Mr. Lewis worked in the Lafayette firm of Donald Rutan Builders for many years. The last three years that he worked he spent in Indianapolis at Gene B. Glick Builders until he retired in 1981.
Mr. Lewis was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed his family. Mr. Lewis enjoyed camping and gardening and the twenty winters he and Mrs. Lewis spent in Florida at Lake Wales and Wauchula.

David L. Linton
David L. Linton, Frankfort, passed quietly on September 12th 2007. He was born August 16, 1951 to Clifford and Nora (Fellers) Linton in Lebanon, Indiana.
David grew up in Lebanon and participated in Boone County Special Olympics, where he enjoyed bowling. David also loved listening to and playing music and he was a great companion and helper to his mother throughout her life.
David was a proactive supporter and recipient of services to increase independence of individuals with developmental disabilities in all aspects of life. David began his affiliation with the Boone County ARC, also known as “Mainstreet Enterprises,” in 1968, moving to Frankfort in 1985 to begin a long association with Abilities Services, Inc. where he received community living and vocational skills. David worked at ASI’s sheltered workshop until his promotion to community employment at Taco Bell in Frankfort.
David attended Amateur Radio Club and actively pursued becoming a licensed Ham Radio operator. He was very interested and personally active in the Republican Party encouraging everyone to vote. David showed great patriotism for his country always saluting whenever he heard the national anthem.
David’s parents and brother, Richard Linton, preceded him in passing.
Survivors are his brother, Norman Linton, North Carolina, his aunt Fannie Everett, and niece Susan Kries, Lebanon, a niece Julia Leaman, Maryland and a nephew, Mark Linton, Carmel.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, the Rev. Amy Mildenberg officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon.
