Loel C. Richardson

1922-2003

Mr. Richardson was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on January 21, 1922. He was the son of the late Loel Earl and Leah (Harris) Richardson.

He was formerly married to Annora M. (Harlos) Richardson and Pauline (Gueram) Richardson. He then married Phyllis H. (Payne) McIntyre Richardson, on August 7, 1980 in Lebanon, Indiana. Mrs. Richardson survives.

Mr. Richardson was in the U.S. Army during WWII where he served in the 62nd Signal Battalion in North Africa and Italy, and was on his way to Japan when the war ended.

He received four bronze stars.

Mr. Richardson had worked as an equipment engineer for Indiana Bell Telephone (now SBC) for 37 years and retired in 1983.

A 1940 graduate of Lebanon High School, Mr. Richardson spent most of his life in Lebanon. He had also lived in Rockville for several years and then eleven years in Crawfordsville until 1966. He and Mrs. Richardson had spent 18 years wintering in Kissimmee, Florida.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he enjoyed bowling, tennis, sports, and was an avid baseball fan.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2003, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2625Elm Swamp Road, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Interment will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, Indiana.

Masonic Services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon.

Mrs. Logan was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on January 31, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Gene and Betty Josephine (Cory) Maxwell.

She was formerly married to Edward Dean Logan and they divorced.

Mrs. Logan was reared and educated in Lebanon and moved to Rockford, Illinois. She also resided in Beloit, Wisconsin, Rockton, Illinois, South Beloit, Illinois, and Dalton, Minnesota before she returned to Lebanon in 2001.

She had been a homemaker most of her life. For several years she was employed as a telemarketer. In Lebanon she last was a custodian for two years at Harney Elementary School and for two year at Lebanon High School.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Logan enjoyed her family and grandchildren, reading and bowling.

No Funeral Services are to be held.
Cremation is entrusted to Myers Mortuary.

Dartha L. "Dot" Long

1908-2003

Mrs. Long was born in Elizaville, Indiana, on October 12, 1908, a daughter of the late W.O. and Zuma (Tomlinson) McRoberts.

Mrs. Long was married in Lebanon, Indiana, on July 10, 1931, to Robert Downing “Bob” Long. Mr. Long died April 30, 1985.

She was reared and educated in Elizaville and Lebanon where she graduated from high school in 1927. She attended Purdue University, Madam Blakers in Danville and Butler University, where she received a Bachelor’s in Education.

She was an elementary school teacher for 43 years and taught at a private kindergarten in Tampa, Florida, a year at Central Elementary in Lebanon, and a total of 36 years at Pinnell in Boone County and Lindbergh in Lebanon. She retired about 1970.

She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She enjoyed her career and traveling, including several summers spent in St. Petersburg, Florida. She had been a Gray Lady for eight years.

Mrs. Lowe was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on February 15, 1953, and was the daughter of Dane and Judy (Ragsdale) Walker who survive.

She was a life resident of Lebanon where she was a 1971 graduate of Lebanon High School. She attended airline training school in Kansas City, Kansas following graduation. She worked as a travel agent in the travel department of Indiana National Bank in Indianapolis for a period. She also worked for Indiana Bell Telephone for a short period prior to her marriage.

She was married in Lebanon, Indiana on April 18, 1975, to Richard L. Lowe. He survives.

Following her marriage, she and her husband opened the Draught Board restaurant and lounge in Lebanon 1976-1980. She worked for periods at the Elks Club and as a Jafra Cosmetics Representative. She served as receptionist at Work One employment and training services in Lebanon. The past ten years she was administrative assistant for Frontier Co-op.

Mrs. Lowe was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed her family and friends, as well as playing euchre, flower gardening, and the out-of-doors. She helped with Frontier Co-op projects at the Boone County 4-H Fair and the charity golf tournament.

Interment will follow services and at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Mabel M. Poole

1924-2003

Born in Parke County, Indiana on March 8, 1924, Mrs. Poole was the daughter of the late Samuel Isaac and Dora Mae (Fruits) Yaryan.

Mrs. Poole was reared and educated in Parke County. Following her marriage, she resided in Parke, Montgomery, and Boone County, including Jamestown, Thorntown and Lebanon.

She was married to Paul Irving Poole on September 29, 1939, in Kentucky. Mr. Poole died on July 31, 1982.

Mrs. Poole had been a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed visiting with her family and sewing.

She had been employed for a short time at Thorntown Textile. She then did child care in her home for families in Thorntown until 1983 when she retired. In 1987 she moved to Lebanon where she had since resided.

She also attended the Wesleyan Church in Frankfort, Indiana

Funeral Services are planned for Saturday, July 5, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 3, 2003, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, Indiana.

Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown, Indiana.

Mr. Macy was born in Lafayette, Indiana , on September 18, 1955. He was the son of the late Glyndon Lloyd Macy and Betty Louise (McBane) Macy who survives.

He was a resident of Thorntown where he graduated from Thorntown High School in 1973. He then attended Purdue University for four years.

He was formerly married to Joanie (Sacks) Macy.

Mr. Macy lived and worked in Indianapolis and was employed a number of years at Deluxe Check Printing. More recently he was a partner with his brother in Straight Line Auto Body in Indianapolis .

He was an avid golfer and for a number of years coached in the Indianapolis Little League Baseball League.

Funeral Services are to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street , in Lebanon , Indiana .

Cremation will follow services.
