Donald E. Marts
He was actively involved in baseball from the time he played Little League in Lebanon to his college career. He also coached his two sons as they participated in the game he loved.
He was employed in sales for Robbins Manufacturing Company in Ft. Myers prior to being self-employed operating Marts Lawn and Landscape Care in Ft. Myers.
He is survived by his four children, Jeremy of Charlotte, NC; Joshua, Elizabeth, and Miranda all of Ft. Myers. He also has five grandchildren, Lexi, Killian and Skylar in Charlotte, NC and Danielle and Deana in Ft. Myers, FL.
He was the son of William A. Marts, who preceded him in death, and Ruthanna (Stephens) Marts who survives. Additional survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Patricia (Herb) Price of Fishers and Mrs. Peggy (Pete) Keswick of Las Vegas, NV and two brothers, Jim (Lisa) of Lebanon, and Tom (Jene’) of Centerville, IA who survive. A sister, Sandra, preceded him in death in 1953.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 16th in Ft. Myers with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent in memory of Don to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, Florida 33908.
Mary S. Hash
1904-2003
Mary Shepherd Hash, 98, Passed away April 12, 2003 at the Lafayette Convalescent Hospital in Lafayette, CA. In loving memory, the Mary Shepherd Hash Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the Antioch Congregational Christian Church in Antioch, IN. Following the memorial service, burial will be at 11:30 a.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery, 935 E. Washington St., Lebanon.
Mary Shepherd was born to Ida May and Abraham Lincoln Shepherd in 1904 in Lebanon, IN. A resident of Indiana, she recently spent time with her daughters in California. A long time member of the Jackson Township community and an active member of the Antioch Congregational Christian Church, she taught the second grade at Jackson Township Grade and High School for several years.
Her teaching career started after receiving her teaching credential at age 18, and securing a teaching position in Crumstown. It was during that time that she met and married bridge contractor, Albert Hash. Surviving her are two sisters, Emily Thalham.er and Catherine Summers of the Indianapolis area; a brother-in-law, Robert Summers; a sister-in-law, Helen Shepherd of Lebanon; two daughters, Marcia Roberts and Priscilla Lowe Scales of California; a son-in-law, James Scales; six grandchildren, Roy Peniston of California; Felicity Peniston of Arizona; Priscilla Roberts Stangenberg and Christoph M. Stangenbergof London, England; Ernest Roberts of Arizona; Heather Lowe of Utah and Jeffrey Lowe of California. Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund, Antioch Congregational Christian Church, 3979 South State Road 39, Frankfort, IN 46041.
Marilyn Jean Mayberry
Mrs. Mayberry was born in Donnellson, Illinois on August 14, 1935. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Marion Rawlings (Lewey) McCaslin.
She grew up in Donnellson, Illinois, and graduated from Hillsboro High School and moved to Indianapolis. She had resided in Lawrence, Sheridan, Stones Crossing and Brownsburg prior to moving to the present Lizton home in 1974.
She was married in Cicero, Indiana, on February 27, 1954, to Richard Franklin “Frank” Mayberry. Mr. Mayberry died on August 31, 1982.
Mrs. Mayberry was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was employed over twenty-five years in the parts department of Kenney Machinery in Indianapolis where she retired.
She enjoyed her family and their activities. In addition, she liked to garden raising flowers and vegetables. She also liked to sew and crochet having made lap covers for many nursing home residents.

Donna J. McConnaha
Donna Jean (Campbell) McConnaha, beloved wife, mother and friend, died December 4, 2007 at St. Vincent Heart Center, Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 85. She was the daughter of Elza and Ruby Campbell, both deceased. She was the wife of Willis E. (Mac) McConnaha, and the mother of Lynda S. Koehler of Martinsville and W. E. (Chip) McConnaha, Portland, Oregon.
Donna was born at the family farm northeast of Lebanon, and graduated from Kirklin High School. Following graduation, she was employed by Winkler Manufacturing Company. After her marriage to Mac McConnaha they moved to Indianapolis where she was employed by Allison's until the birth of Lynda.
They moved from Indianapolis to Big Spring, Texas where Mac was employed at a State Hospital and where son, Chip was born. After three years in Texas, they returned to Lebanon where Donna was employed as guidance secretary at Lebanon High School until her retirement in 1985. Upon retirement, Donna was awarded an honorary diploma from Lebanon High School in recognition of her years of service.
An active member of Lebanon’s First Presbyterian Church, Donna served the congregation as a teacher and leader, attended numerous district and state meetings and was a long time student in the adult Sunday school. She was a member of Presbyterian Young Adults and was past president of the Presbyterian Women’s group.
She served her community as a leader and president of Psi Iota Xi, philanthropic sorority; she was currently President of the group’s auxiliary chapter.
For many years, Donna was treasurer of the Ulen Ladies Golf group. She was an active bridge player at Ulen Country Club where she enjoyed the company of many friends.
In addition to her husband and children, survivors are sisters Mary Porter, Lebanon, Betty Dusto, Tucson, Arizona, and sister-in-law, Lois Campbell of Kirklin; three grandsons and their wives, Matthew and Holly Koehler of Burke, Virginia, Colin and Darcie McConnaha of Portland, Oregon, Ian McConnaha and Nidhi Mirani, New York City; and daughter-in-law Jane McConnaha and son-in-law Karl Koehler.

Carol Jean McDaniel

Mrs. McDaniel was born in Evanston, Illinois on August 23, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Clara E. (Maciaczak) Strahs.
In 1967, Mrs. McDaniel graduated from St. Scholastica High School in Evanston, Illinois.
She was married in Mundelein, Illinois to Jesse David McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel died in December 1995.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Mrs. McDaniel enjoyed her family and home. She worked in Chicago at Washington National Insurance Company for thirty years where she was a manager in the data entry department. In Lebanon she was employed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Relizon) for ten years as a customer service representative until she retired due to her health.
She was active in Crusade of Mercy, was elected to YMCA leader luncheon for women, served as president of the local chapter of Data Entry Management Association, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Data Entry Managers Association and having worked with other representatives of companies in countries throughout the world.

Memorial Services are to be held on Friday, February 1, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at the Kristan Funeral Home, 219 West Maple Avenue, in Mundelein, Illinois.
Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday evening at the mortuary.
Interment of her ashes will be at Ascension Cemetery in Mundelein, Illinois.

Edith J. McIntyre
1905-2003
Mrs. McIntyre was born in Plainfield, Indiana, on November 29, 1905. She was a daughter of the late John L. and Della Cora (Johnson) Blair.
Mrs. McIntyre was raised in Hendricks and Boone Counties. She resided in Lebanon since 1918.
She was married in Lebanon, Indiana, on October 21, 1922, to Rush Josiah “Billy” McIntyre. Mr. McIntyre died on October 30, 1975. They had no children.
Her work included positions at the Boss Manufacturing Company, 1919-1956, Thorntown textile in Thorntown for several years, and as a maid she worked at the Myers Hotel, the Oliver Hotel, and the Cedars Hotel in Lebanon. She retired in 1970.
Mrs. McIntyre was a devoted wife, aunt and homemaker. She enjoyed her family and friends, the out-of-doors, and enjoyed her various positions.
Memberships:
She had attended the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
She was formerly active in the Eagles and the Moose Auxiliaries in Lebanon.

Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.

Mrs. McKinnis was born in Tipton, Indiana, on February 1, 1927. She was the daughter of the late George Sidney and Winona Elizabeth (Prifogle) Henry.
Mrs. McKinnis’s lived in Tipton, moved to Missouri for a few years, and returned to Tipton where she graduated from Tipton High School in 1945.
She was married in Tipton, Indiana on March 17, 1946 to Dale Devere McKinnis. Mr. McKinnis died on August 9, 2001.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed her family and their activities. Following her marriage she resided in Bloomington, and Tipton prior to moving to Whitestown in 1954. The family moved to the present Thorntown residence in 1974.
Mrs. McKinnis was a pilot and enjoyed air races. She was a former member of Zonta in Lebanon and the 99ers Women’s Flying Club in Indianapolis. She rode motorcycles, taught Sunday School, and liked to sew.

Interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown, Indiana.

Mrs. McNew was born in Jamaica, Illinois, on July 3, 1931, the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Luannie (Hale) Philbeck.
As a child Mrs. McNew resided in Illinois and moved at age 11 to Lebanon.
She was married to Vernon L. McNew in Lebanon, Indiana on November 29, 1947. Mr. McNew died on April 1, 2006.
Following her marriage, she resided in Indianapolis where she was an employee of RCA. In Lebanon she worked at the Wilson Milk Company and then at J & L Steel. She then stayed at home to care for her children. The couple moved to Williford, Arkansas for several years before returning to reside in Lebanon.
Mrs. McNew was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
