Beulah B. Sanders Melvin was born in Hamilton County, near Westfield, Indiana on May 30, 1915, the daughter of the late Clyde Oliver and Hazel Mae (Stultz) Sanders.
Mrs. Melvin spent most of her life in Boone County where she attended Boone County and Zionsville schools.
Beulah was married to William Orville Melvin on June 3, 1943, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Orville died on August 1, 1975.
She was employed in several positions including Kingham Meat Packing Company where she worked 1932-1944. Beulah and Orville farmed east of Lebanon. She moved into Lebanon in 1983 and had been in the Sheridan Healthcare Center the past several years.
Beulah enjoyed her family, home, reading, and gardening.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation is planned for Friday, May 2, 2008, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, Indiana.
Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.

Geneva Luella Miller
Mrs. Miller was born in Clinton County, Indiana, on June 15, 1912. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Martha Ellen (Boots) Shaw.
At a young age, Mrs. Miller moved to Boone County where she graduated from Dover High School in 1931, a member of the first graduating class at Dover High School.
She was married in 1932, to Oren Wilson Miller in Lebanon, Indiana. He died on July 9, 1995.
She and Mr. Miller farmed in the rural Thorntown community where she resided until recently entering the nursing home.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker who enjoyed her family, friends, flowers and gardening.

Funeral Services are to be held on Monday, October 8, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Mary E. Halstead
1916-2003
Mrs. Halstead was born in Boone County, Indiana on May 31, 1916, the daughter of the late George Hother and Frances May (Carter) Cox.
A life-resident of Boone County, she graduated from Lebanon High School
in 1934.
She was married in Lebanon, Indiana on January 16, 1937, to Ralph Kelly Halstead. Mr. Halstead died on March 14, 1999.
Mrs. Halstead worked at the Boss Manufacturing Company in Lebanon for five years. During World War II she was employed at Adler’s in Lebanon. She then assisted her husband in Advance at the Metzger Lumber Company. When they returned to live in Lebanon, she was a homemaker.
A devoted wife, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and refinishing furniture.
Memberships: A charter member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon

Funeral Services are planned for 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2003, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.
Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation is planned for 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2003, at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon.

Mr. Miller was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on May 27, 1983, the son of the Raymond T. Miller and the late Judith D. (Brudelie) Miller.
A resident of Lebanon for a number of years he was a graduate of Lebanon High School in 2002. He attended the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville.
He was employed as a tool and die maker Eagle Consulting, Inc. of Indianapolis.
He enjoyed his family, fishing, cooking, dirt bikes, and 4-wheelers.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Mrs. Mitchell was born on October 3, 1937, in Colfax, Indiana to the late Walter and Hazel (Suter) Harshbarger.
She was married on October 29, 1977, to Walter “Jerry” Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell survives.
Mrs. Mitchell was a graduate of Colfax High School. She resided in Lebanon for twenty years. In Lebanon she worked as an Administrative assistant at Stewart-Warner Corporation and then at Lau Industries. She moved to reside in Ft. Myers Beach in 1980.
A devoted wife mother, grandmother, and homemaker, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and making dolls.

Dorothy Marie Moore
Moore was a retired registered nurse, her chosen life career. She joined the nursing staff of Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon in 1973, where she worked on the medical/surgical unit. She worked at Parkwood Health Care Center in Lebanon as a medical nurse before retiring. Prior to coming to Witham, she worked as a surgical nurse at Mercy Hospital and Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois; St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California; and St. Francis Hospital in Miami Beach, Florida. Moore’s early nursing career led her to travel as a courier nurse on the Santa Fe Railway. She appeared in “Look” magazine with a 6-page feature story and photos of her travels as a courier nurse.
Moore attended Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated with her nursing certification from St. Bernard’s Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago. She graduated from St. Mary of Perpetual Help High School in Chicago, where she was Sodality Officer, “Perpette” Reporter and involved in Glee Club, Student Council, Operetta and the senior play. Her year book read, “intelligent, reliable Dorth, with a smile for everyone.”
Moore married Leonard E. Moore in November 1960 and had four children. They were married for 46 years. They attended Central Christian Church in Lebanon, where their children were baptized.
Moore’s interests included knitting and crocheting, cooking and baking, singing, dancing, gardening and being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her strong resilience, her love of family and nurturing soul, always caring for and putting others first. She will be remembered for her many gourmet meals that she prepared for her family. Her most recent accomplishment was being crowned queen during the Valentine King and Queen 2008 party at The Hearth at Windermere, an assisted living facility where she recently resided in Fishers, Indiana.
Moore is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her youngest son, Alan; and her parents, Dominick (Dan) Staszak and Marie Staszak of Dyer, Indiana. She is survived by children Brian Lee Moore of Indianapolis; Laura Lynn Moore of Temecula, California; Lynda Marie de Widt of Fishers, Indiana; and grandchildren Clayton Blaine Moore and Luke Nicholas Moore of Indianapolis and Victoria Lynn-Marie Heinitz and Valerie Grace Margaret Heinitz of Temecula, California.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 28th, at Myers Chapel of Memories, with the Reverand Dale Matherly of Central Christian Church and Deacon Patrick Gallagher of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetary in Lebanon.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 6100 W. 96th St., Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN, 46278.
James Wallace Morrell
Mr. Morrell was born in Stillwater, Minnesota, on December 26, 1925. He was the son of the late Dell Frank and Edith Pearl (Dean) Morrell.
Mr. Morrell was reared and educated in Minnesota. He spent eight years in the United States Navy having served during World War II and the Korean War.
He moved to Indiana in 1960. On December 26, 1970, in Lizton, Indiana he was married to Pearl Ann (Lewis) Morrell. They were divorced.
In Stillwater, he spent eight years as a school bus driver. In Indiana he worked in Elkhart in Recreational Vehicle construction. Since 1968 he resided in Boone County (Lizton and Lebanon) and worked for ten years in Indianapolis. He then was employed at Martin’s Gas in Lebanon in heating and air conditioning service and continued as the firm became J. W. Ridgway. He worked until 1986 when he retired due to his health. In retirement, he had positions at Fall Creek Enterprises and Titus Bakery.
He enjoyed his family, watching sports, hunting, fishing, and out-of-doors activites.
