He was born March 27, 1937, in Tyronza, Ark., to Clyde and Earcell (Garey) Richards. He married Milissa D. Maciejewski on July 10, 1996, in Las Vegas.
She survives with two sons, Russell G. Richards of Dean's Island, Ark., and Terry G. Richards at home; a grandson; one brother, Billy (Darlene) Richards of Apple Valley, Calif.; three sisters, Betty (Mitchell) Forrester of Elkhart, Patricia (Ivan) Gleize of Wright City, Mo., and Joy (Walt) Anglemyer of Goshen; a stepson, Allen (Sherry) Grant of Angola; two stepdaughters, Vickie (Greg) Matafin of Mishawaka and Debbie (Fred) Butler of The Bahamas; and several stepgrandchildren.
A brother, Clyde G. Richards, preceded him in death.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Richards retired in 1999 as a supervisor at Excel Industries, where he was employed for 36 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Osceola American Legion and Elkhart DAV Chapter 19. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, motorcycles and old cars.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.

GOSHEN -- Ethel Lucile Yoder, 95, of 1114 Spring Brooke Drive, died at 8:36 a.m. Sunday (June 20, 2004) at Linda's Home Care in Goshen.
She was born July 8, 1908, in Metamora, Ill., to Edward and Ellen (Smith) Oyer. She married Dr. Samuel A. Yoder on Sept. 10, 1932, in Illinois. He died July 26, 1970.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis (Carl) Yoder and Elaine Unziker, both of Goshen; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Pauline Oyer of Phoenix, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Noe, and one brother, Harold Oyer.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church, where there will be a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at College Mennonite Church. Ellis Croyle, interim pastor at College Mennonite Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery in Goshen.
Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Yoder moved from Illinois to Goshen in 1946. She was a former teacher and also worked at Goshen College as a switchboard operator and in the Alumni Office.
She was very active at College Mennonite Church. She was a former member of the PHILO book club, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and taught English in the Adult Literacy program. She was a hostess to international students and teachers through the college. She traveled widely around the world with her husband.
Memorials may be given to the S.A. Yoder Memorial Fund at Goshen College.
