Cleo Carnahan
Washington, Ind. - Cleo Eugene Carnahan, 76, died Monday night at Washington Nursing Center.
He was a former city employee.
Surviving is his wife, Doris Rose (McLemore).
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Gill Chapel, with burial in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mary Reed
TOBINSPORT, Ind. - Mary K. Reed, 81, died Tuesday night at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.
Surviving are a son, Larry of Tobinsport; three grandsons, Mike, Larry and Danny Reed; and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Orville, died in 1997.
Services will be private, with burial in the Millstone Methodist Church cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City.
'Gib' Frederick
HAZLETON, Ind. - Otis Gilbert Frederick, 78, died Wednesday morning at Petersburg Health Care.
He was a farmer.
He was a World War II veteran with service in the European Theater. He fought in Rome-Arno, Southern France, Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was a member of White River Chapel United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Natalie (Cole); three daughters, Nancy Willetts of St. Louis, Jane Camp of Evansville and Angie Tamalavic of Petersburg; a son, Phillip of Petersburg; three sisters, Olive Willis of Petersburg, Iretha Bonhomme of Vincennes and Doris Walker of Greenwood; a brother, Everett of Petersburg; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in White River Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
George Leathco
BOONVILLE, Ind. - George L. Leathco, 76, died Wednesday morning at home.
He was a truck driver for Floyd Lemmons.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Ila; three daughters, Judith A. Hinckley of Midwest City, Okla., Carolyn Reynolds of Dugger and Linda Meyers of Boonville; three sons, George Jr. of Evansville, Harold of Boonville and Rick of Oakland City; four sisters, Alice Grisham of Boonville, Viola Mason of Albany, Ill., Jennivieve Kemper of Forest Grove, Ore., and Loretta Howe of St. Louis; nine grandchildren, Abby, Brad, Chris and Terra Leathco, Mike Reynolds and Bambi, Norman, Richard Jr. and Regina Hinckley; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in New Liberty Cemetery in Coe.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Joe Armstrong
PRINCETON, Ind. - Joe Arch Armstrong, 75, died Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
He was a farmer, an elder, clerk of session, Sunday school teacher, trustee, youth leader, superintendent of the Sunday school and member of the Men's Association at Princeton United Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Farm Bureau and Princeton High School class of 1941.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Meredith; two daughters, Betty Altheide of Newburgh and Kathy Hobbs of Somerset, N.J.; two sisters, Nancy Wright of Princeton and Mary Hyneman of Mount Olympus; a brother, Harold of Owensville; and five grandchildren, Erika Walters Nemergut, Greta and Joshua Walters and Matthew and Angela Shutske.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Columbia White Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Colvin Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. to service time Saturday at the church.

ST. PHILIP, Ind. - John Winfred Stewart, 70, died Wednesday afternoon at Deaconess Hospital. He worked 30 years at Swift Meat Packing Co. and retired
as a supervisor after 19 years at Industrial Contractors.
He was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church and Laborer's Local 561.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Marie (Sammet); two daughters, Rosanna Russ of Jacksonville, Fla., and Carolyn Myers of Newburgh; two sons, Daniel of Indianapolis and Kenneth of Mount Vernon; a brother, James of Evansville; and five grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at Pierre Funeral Home.
John Adams
MOUNT VERNON, Ind. - John Elmo Adams, 80, died Tuesday afternoon at Essex Manor Nursing Home in Lebanon.
He was a pipeline superintendent for 39 years at the Farm Bureau Oil Refinery of Mount Vernon.
He was a member of Mount Vernon Methodist Church, Beulah Lodge 578 and the Indianapolis Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine.
He was co-founder and first president of the Boone County Bluebird Society.
Surviving are his wife, Juanita; three daughters, Glenna French of Sun Lakes, Ariz., Nancy Parkman of Leawood, Kan., and Marlene Davenport of Alpharetta, Ga.; two sons, Allen of Lebanon and Ross of Pleasant Hill, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Boone Funeral Home Mount Vernon Chapel, with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Boone Funeral Home.

SOMERVILLE, Ind. - Betty Jean (Pullman) Gieselman, 64, died Wednesday afternoon at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of natural causes.
She worked at Simpsons and the Penny Can grocery stores and retired after 30 years at Windsor Plastics.
Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Harold E.; two daughters, Pauline Simpson and Paula Wallace, both of Evansville; a stepdaughter, Carol Sue Donner of Mattoon, Ill.; a son, Harold E. Jr. of Somerville; two sisters, Faye Pentecost of North Carolina and Mae Chapin of Evansville; two brothers, Donald and Charlie Pullman, both of Evansville; six grandchildren, Michele, Christina, Stephanie, Torita, Heidi and Alisha; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, with burial pending.

Nathan M. Palmer, 19, of Evansville, died Tuesday of injuries suffered while rock climbing in Boulder, Colo. He worked at Pat Arnold Mason-
ry. He was a member of the Central High School class of 1997.
Surviving are his parents, Chris and Debbie (Yellig) Palmer of Evansville; a sister, Anna R. Palmer of Evansville; two brothers, Christopher D. and Israel N., both of Evansville; and grandparents, Edith (Bailey) Yellig and David and Charlotte Nelson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Browning Funeral Home, the Rev. Ted Tempel officiating, with entombment in St. Joseph mausoleum.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ruby Gross
Ruby Christine Gross, 86, died Wednesday night at Welborn Baptist Hospital. She worked at Servel during World War II and retired as a private duty nurse.
She was a charter member of Morningside Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Cooke of Evansville and Carol Sue Carver of Las Vegas; two sons, George J. Jr. and Paul M., both of Evansville; two sisters, Fannie Belle Phillips of Evansville and Ruth Miller of Tucson, Ariz., a brother, Charles Ellis Chambliss of Evansville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, George, died in 1988.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, Richard J. Bender Jr. officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Ray E. Shemwell Jr., 68, of Evansville, died Wednesday afternoon at Parkview Care Center. He retired in 1991 from Signal Delivery.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Judy Raffe of Chicago; a son, Donald of Evansville; a sister, Betty Pearlstein of Florida; a brother, James of Florida; five grandchildren, Stacia Sheelar, Donny and Angie Shemwell and Alison and Benjamin Raffe; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Charles Turnage officiating, with entombment in Oak Hill mausoleum.

June Margaret (Frank) Stoermer, 81, of Evansville, died Wednesday night at Deaconess Hospital. She worked at Servel during World War II.
She was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, Ladies of the Nile and the Eagles Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Brad of Evansville and Terry of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, William V. Frank of Evansville; and four grandchildren, Scott, Erin, Jason and Nathan Stoermer.
Her husband, Harold, died in 1972.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, the Rev. Thomas F. Webster officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Wayne Campbell
Wayne A. Campbell, 59, of Evansville, died Thursday morning at home of natural causes. He owned Campbell Electric Inc. He was a member of the Navigators class at Blue Grass Methodist Church, Hadi Temple, Lessing Masonic Lodge 464, Evansville Valley Scottish Rite and Reitz High School class of 1956.
He was past president and captain of the Hadi Shrine White Horse Patrol.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Judy (Schminke); two daughters, Penny Staples and Christy Eckert, both of Evansville; his mother, Margaret DeWeese of Evansville; his father, Manson Campbell of Evansville; two sisters, Virginia Baker of Danville, Ky., and Gayle Cobb of Evansville; two stepsisters, Velma Young and Evelyn Huebner, both of Evansville; two brothers, Manson Jr. and Jim, both of Evansville; three stepbrothers, Jerold and Delbert DeWeese, both of Evansville, and Robert DeWeese of Winter Garden, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jason and Lyndsey Staples and Cole and Carissa Eckert; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Blue Grass Church, the Rev. Doug Heiman officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, where Masonic services will be at 7 p.m., and from 1 p.m. to service time Sunday at the church.
