Thomas Ridens

Thomas E. Ridens, 66, of Evansville, died Saturday night at Deaconess Hospital.

He worked at Chrysler Corp. for 36 years.

He was a member of Eagles River City Post 4023 and Owls Nest 30.

Surviving are five daughters, Cynthia Jane DeBroeck of Union, Mo., Tonya Jennings of Gray Summit, Mo., Carol Sue Ridens of Lang Dale, Mo., and Mary Morgan and Valerie Ricketts, both of Evansville; four sisters, Carol Kerr of Salem, Mo., Sarah Jane Hersey of Atlanta, Phyllis Konle of Fenton, Mo., and Marcia Large of Finleyville, Pa.; a brother, Gale of Evansville; nine grandchildren, Frank Bautista, Sonya Nauman, Heidi and Brooke Morgan, Lydia Cox, Gilbert J. Ricketts III, Thomas E. III and Juston Lee Ridens; and Tineza M. Francis; and four great-grandchildren.

A son, Thomas E. Jr., died in 1997.

Services will be at noon Wednesday at Werry Funeral Home Poseyville Chapel, the Rev. Duane Dodson officiating, with burial Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Griffin.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Theresa Tomes

Theresa A. Tomes, 63, of Evansville, died Sunday night at her home.

She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband of 44 years, James M.; two daughters, Tina Marie Learned and Theresa F. Nellis, both of Evansville; three sons, Timothy Lee, Travis D. and Tracey N., all of Evansville; her mother and stepfather, Elizabeth and Adam Lalowski of Detroit; five sisters, Rita J. Mazur, Ann Verbick and Kathryn Hatch, all of Livonia, Mich., Deborah Lalowski of Detroit, and Darlene Hurley of Warren, Mich.; a brother, Paul J. Kedrowitz of Elizabethtown, Ind.; and 11 grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel, the Rev. Raymond Brenner officiating, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park mausoleum.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess/Ohio Valley Hospice.

Harold Harvey

Harold L. 'Pete' Harvey, 61, of Evansville, died of natural causes Monday morning at St. Mary's Medical Center.

He was a carpenter and attended Terrace Parke Baptist Church.

He was a member of Lessing Masonic Lodge 464, Scottish Rite, Sword of Bunker Hill, No Ruz Grotto and the Carpenter Union local.

Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly Harvey of Lebanon, Ind., and Buffy Wannemuehler of Evansville; his mother, Isabelle Harvey of Evansville; three half sisters, Barbara Welch and Helen June King, both of Petersburg, Ind., and Patricia Williams of Oakland City, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Sydney Marie and Joseph David Wannemuehler.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, the Rev. Kent Sahl officiating, with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where Lessing Masonic Lodge 464 will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. and No Ruz Grotto will conduct a Walk Through at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wish Upon A Star.

Florence Jones

Florence King Jones, 89, mother of Mary Frances Baugh of Evansville, died Monday at her home in Erie, Pa.

She was a life member of the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul and the Episcopal Church Women.

She was a 36-year board member of the Sarah Reed Retirement Home and Children's Center. She was a founder of the Lawyers' Wives Auxiliary.

Also surviving are a daughter, Jean Belle Jones Porter of Fairview, Pa.; a sister, Jean Belle King Mertens of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Stephen Jones, Robert Carpenter and John King Porter, Laurie Porter Combs, David Everington and Matthew Koehler Baugh, and Carolyn Grace Baugh Kamel; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and a nephew.

Her husband, Rear Admiral Stephen E., preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of St. Paul in Erie, the Rev. John P. Downey officiating, with burial in Erie Cemetery.

Friends may call at the family residence after the burial.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul Food Bank, to the Neighborhood Art House/Emmaus Soup Kitchen, or you may plant a tree in her memory.

A. Lucille Wilkinson

Anna Lucille Hamilton Wilkinson, 78, of West Lafayette, Ind., formerly of Evansville, died Saturday afternoon in Home Hospital.

She was a secretary at Faultless Caster and Bliss-Laughlin, retiring in 1982.

She attended Keck Avenue Baptist Church in Evansville and First United Methodist Church in West Lafayette.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. In 1991, she received an AARP National Community Service Award. She was a volunteer at Welborn Baptist Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are a son, Robert A. Ford of West Lafayette; and a sister, Hilma Wilkinson of Evansville; and four grandchildren, Rob, Andrew and Kara Ford, and Stacey Wilkinson.

Her husband, Richard A., died in 1981.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Park mausoleum chapel, the Rev. Dean Stuckey officiating.

Friends may call from noon to service time at the chapel.

Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette, Ind., is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Keck Avenue Baptist Church library fund or to First United Methodist Church in West Lafayette.

David Cole

MOUNT VERNON, Ind. - David W. Cole, 31, died Sunday morning from injuries sustained in an auto accident on Indiana 69 North at Solitude.

He worked for B&M Plastic Co. and graduated in1985 from Mount Vernon High School, where he was a member of Future Farmers of America.

He was a 2nd class firefighter for the Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire & Rescue and was a First Responder for eight years.

Surviving are his parents, Nellie and Douglas Cole of Mount Vernon; and a sister, Tammy Pruiett of Evansville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tygart Funeral Home, with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Alice Cameron

MOUNT VERNON, Ind. - Alice C. Cameron, 59, died Monday morning of natural causes at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

Surviving are a sister, Irene Robinson of Mount Vernon; and two brothers, Clinton J. Cameron of Mount Vernon and Frank L. Cameron of Europe.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church Cemetery.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Norvell Funeral Home.

Donna Davidson

BICKNELL, Ind. - Donna L. Davidson, 82, died Sunday night at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

She was a secretary and was a member of High Street United Methodist Church in Muncie.

Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Bunte of Vincennes; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Her husband, James, preceded her in death.

Services will be in Muncie. McClure Funeral Home in Bicknell is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth Dorey

VINCENNES, Ind. - Ruth M. Dorey, 94, died Saturday at Crestview Nursing Home.

She taught in the Vincennes Community School System for 40 years at Riley and Vigo schools.She graudated from Butler University,

She was a member of First Christian Church, Eastern Star, YMCA Auxiliary, and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Surviving are a nephew, Sam Barth of Hawaii; and five great-nieces, including, Carol Carter of Cloverland, and Susan Johnson of Danville.

Her husband, John, died in 1935.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenlawn Cemetery.

There will be no visitation at Goodwin Funeral Home.

James Cannon

PETERSBURG, Ind. - James B. Cannon, 61, died Sunday afternoon at Daviess County Hospital in Washington.

He owned and operated James Cannon Trucking and was a member of Pike Masonic Lodge 121, Veterans of Foreign Wars , Petersburg Moose Lodge and Washington Township Ruitan Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Tamara Billings of Petersburg; three sons, James R., Gary D. and Jon B., all of Petersburg; a sister, Nadine Tarvin of Loogootee; two brothers, Gordon of Shelburn and Doyle 'Dude' of Petersburg; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Anderson Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Clyde Steiger

PETERSBURG, Ind. - Clyde E. Steiger, 85, died Monday morning at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

He was a coal miner, retiring from Old Ben Coal Co. in 1980.

He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Fowler; two stepdaughters, Durgenia Leighty of Otwell and Jennifer Payne of Evansville; a stepson, David Leighty of Springville; six stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Hills Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

James Krouse

GRIFFIN, Ind. - James S. Krouse, 63, died Sunday afternoon at his home.

He was a contract oil field pumper, and was retired from the Navy. He was a member of South Gibson Apostolic Chapel.

Surviving are his wife, Saretta (Burch); two daughters, Lynda Wraley of Griffin and Ann Persinger of Evansville; a son, David of New Harmony; a sister, Marilyn Peach of Patoka; a brother, Mike of Bremerton, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the South Gibson Apostolic Chapel in Owensville, with burial in Upper Hills Cemetery near Griffin, with military rites.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Sturm Funeral Home in Grayville, Ill., and from 1 p.m. to service time Wednesday at the church.

Wanda Goatley

JASPER, Ind. - Wanda F. Goatley, 68, died Monday morning at Heritage House of Jasper.

She was a retired caregiver.

Surviving are a sister, Bonnie Jean Lain of Cannelton; eight half sisters and brothers; caregivers, Janice Franchville of Tell City and Bernice King of Dale; and a grandson, Shawn Holmes.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Gary K. and William Charles Holmes.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
