Mary Louise Carter Lawrence, 57, died Thursday night at St. Mary's Medical Center of natural causes.
She attended Lincoln High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris Patterson of Evansville; four grandchildren, La Ron Patterson, Tyran Landours and Tyreca and La Tyshon Shelby; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mason Bros. Memorial Chapel, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where wake services will begin at 6 p.m.
Elza Walton
PETERSBURG, Ind. - Elza W. Walton, 91, died Friday morning at home.
He worked 28 years at Marathon Oil Co.
He was a member of Olive Branch General Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Edith (Decker); two daughters, Betty Willis and Mary Deffendall, both of Petersburg; a son, Jim of Petersburg; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Hills Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
'Tony' Nordhoff Jr.
JASPER, Ind. - Anthony C. Nordhoff Jr., 54, died Thursday morning at Jasper Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
He retired from Southern Hills Counseling Center.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Schnellville Conservation Club.
Surviving are his wife, Karen (Harker); two daughters, Brenda Kalb of Jasper and Shelia Jones of Glenrock, Wyo.; two sons, Anthony C. III of Henderson, Ky., and Steve of Evansville; five sisters, Lillian Fritz and Margie Knies, both of St. Anthony, Lucille Merkel of Hartford City, Mary Lou Kirst of San Dimas, Calif., and Monica Gutgsell of Schnellville; a brother, Charles of Indianapolis;and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with entombment in Fairview Cemetery mausoleum.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Becher and Kluesner Downtown Chapel, where rosary services will be at 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Humane Society or a favorite charity.
Evangeline Wininger
TELL CITY, Ind. - Evangeline Wininger, 77, died Thursday night at Orange County Hospital.
Surviving are a sister, Louise Lindsey of West Baden; and a brother, Clifford Cantner of Tell City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Brosmer-Drabing Funeral Home in French Lick, with burial in Mount Lebanon Cemetery in French Lick.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Raymond Bartell Sr.
FERDINAND, Ind. - Raymond F. Bartell Sr., 77, died Thursday afternoon at Medilodge of Howell in Michigan.
He retired as a millwright for Kimberly/Clark.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366.
Surviving are his wife, Henrietta (Oser); two daughters, Barbara Carter of Woodbridge, Va., and Maryann Bartell of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; four sons, Raymond Jr. of Brighton, Mich., William of Alton, Ill., Robert of Perry, Mich., and James of Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Lucille Smith of Georgia and Bette Wessling of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, William of Appleton, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martin Catholic Church in Siberia, with burial in the church Cemetery, where American Legion Post 366 will conduct military rites.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Becher Funeral Home, where parish prayer services will be at 5 p.m.
Belmont Cooper
CHANDLER, Ind. - Belmont Jay Cooper, 94, died Friday at Pine Lake Manor.
He was formerly a patient at Evansville State Hospital.
There are no immediate survivors.
There will be no services or visitation at Alexander Funeral Home Newburgh Chapel. The body will be cremated.
'Bob' Weisheit
LOOGOOTEE, Ind. - Robert Weisheit, 45, died Thursday night at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of natural causes.
He was a truck driver and farmer and a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield.
Surviving are two daughters, Audra and Valerie Weisheit, both of Loogootee; three sisters, Clara Holt and Alice Jones, both of Shoals, and Carolyn Wagler of Loogootee; and a brother, Paul of Loogootee.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martin Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Titzer Funeral Home, where prayer services will be at 6 p.m.
Gladys Hill
Washington, Ind. - Gladys Geneva Hill, 85, died Thursday morning at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
She retired after 30 years in the housekeeping department at Daviess County Hospital.
She attended First Christian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary Rohloff of Logansport and Lenora Melton of New Albany; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Charles E., died in 1979.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Gill Chapel, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Ruth Burg
OWENSVILLE, Ind. - Ruth M. Burg, 56, died Friday morning at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville of natural causes.
She worked part time at the Nisbet Inn.
Surviving are her husband, Lawrence; a daughter, Tammy Dyer of Athens, Ill.; two sons, Michael Parish and Tony Baang, both of Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Judith Smith of Killbourn, Ill.; two brothers, Edward and William Phillips, both of Springfield; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Springfield. Holder Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
