Paul W. Schoeff, 74, of Anderson, died June 1, 2002, at St. John's Medical System after a brief illness.
Arrangements are pending at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, South Chapel, Anderson.
Timothy A. Greene
Timothy A. "Tim" Greene, 42, of Anderson, died May 31, 2002, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 12, 1959, in Anderson where he lived his entire life.
He was a graduate of Anderson High School.
He had been employed as a foreman at Gaar's Nursery for 22 years.
He was a member of Southdale Church of the Nazarene. He played fastpitch softball, both as a pitcher and a second baseman, and his team won three state championships. He also played basketball on the Southdale Church of the Nazarene's team.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Terri (Cox) Greene of Anderson; three children, Jamie (husband, Cliff) Kreegar, Nickie Greene and Dustin Greene, all of Anderson; his parents, Harry and Allene Greene of Anderson; his grandmother, Dessie Smith of Anderson; a grandson, Landon A. Greene of Anderson; five brothers and sisters, Mark Greene, Kimberly Greene, Michelle Shaw, Kristy McMillen and Chris Greene, all of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, officiated by the Rev. Gary Klinger. Burial will be in Saunders Cemetery, Daleville.
Visitation hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Rosanne Brassfield
LEXINGTON, KY. --Rosanne (Osnes) Brassfield, 65, entered the gates of heaven May 31, 2002.
She was born in Scottsbluff, Neb., the daughter of the Revs. Earl William and Laura Rose Osnes.
On Oct. 17, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Winfield Cyrus Brassfield, in Trenton, Neb.
A member of the First Church of God in Lexington, her life was enriched by working in several church ministries. She especially enjoyed singing in the choir and her involvement with the bus and youth ministries. She dearly loved bonding with young people. As a member of the Silvertones trio, with Marge Wiley and Grace Anne Botts, the Silvertones performed in several churches and nursing homes throughout central Kentucky. Rosanne's singing career began at the age of 3. Other interests included sports, particularly coaching and playing softball and basketball for many years. She was an avid UK Wildcat fan.
Survivors include her husband, Winfield C. Brassfield; a son, Steven (wife, Beverly) Brassfield of Richmond, Ky.; three daughters, Sharon (husband, John) Vrolijk of Corinth, Ky., Sheila (husband, Don) Edwards of Richmond, Ky., and Melody (husband, Andrew) Struk of Corinth, Ky.; her brother, Dr. Larry (wife, Sue) Osnes of Minneapolis, Minn.; five grandchildren, Veronica Vrolijk (husband, Michael) Camacho, Kris Vrolijk, Michael Struk, Joseph Struk and Lauren Winn Brassfield; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Vrolijk and his expected sister, Victoria Rose Vrolijk; and a nephew, Justin (wife, Kari) Osnes. Also surviving are many dear friends, too numerous to mention.
She was preceded in death by a niece, Tamera Sue Osnes.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God, 505 Kingston Road, Lexington, Ky., officiated by the Revs. Ancil Abney and Stan Schilffarth. Honorary pallbearers will be April Ball and Theresa Free. Pallbearers will be Chaz Abney, Michael Carroll, Charles Harris III, D'waughn Hazard, Chris Oser and Philip Schilffarth. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jessamine County, Ky.
Visitation hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 463 E. Main St., Lexington, Ky.

Norma L. Kelly
MARION -- Norma Lee Kelly, 74, died May 31, 2002, at Marion General Hospital in Marion.
She was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Converse. She was a graduate of Converse High School.
On Feb. 11, 1966, she married LaVoice Kelly.
In 1964 she retired. She had been employed at several factories and restaurants. She was a member of Orestes Christian Church in Orestes.
Survivors include her husband, LaVoice Kelly of Marion; a daughter, Connie Lee (Bridenthal) Lester of Marion; two brothers, James Fansler of Kokomo and Glen Fansler of Converse; two sisters, Shirley (husband, Delmar) Kelly of Alexandria and Ruth (husband, Earl) Dennison of Converse; a sister-in-law, Lee Anna Fansler of Greentown; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Irene (Dangerfield) Fansler; and two brothers, Joe Fansler and Gene Fansler.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Larrison-Martin-Duncan Funeral Home, 308 E. Marion St. in Converse. Burial will be in Converse Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Courtley V. Granger.
Visitation hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Martha M. Ayres
Martha M. (McCool) Ayres, 86, of Anderson, died May 10, 2002, at Countryside Manor in Anderson after a brief illness.
Survivors include two daughters, Catherine (husband, Ron) Potter and Martha Jane (husband, Bill) Runyan; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrell C. "Jack" Ayres .
Private graveside services and burial have been conducted.

Mildred E. Mathews
NEW ALBANY -- Mildred E. (Emery) Mathews, 79, died June 1, 2002, at her residence.
She was a retired employee of General Motors.
Survivors include her husband, Homer C. Mathews; a daughter, Jane McVey of Anderson; two brothers, Charles Emery and Raymond "Jim" Emery; four sisters, Helen L. Morris, Martha Woodward, Betty Frakes and Eva Ann Bowman; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Seabrook, Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes, 1846 E. Oak St., New Albany. Burial will be private.
Visitation hours are 2 to 7 p.m. Monday.

Alice L. Thompson, 75, of Anderson, died June 1, 2002, at her residence following an extended illness.

Lois A. Riley
Lois Ann Riley, 82, of Anderson, died May 30, 2002, at St. John's Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Seymour, and lived in Anderson since 1942. She retired from Anderson Community Schools in 1981 after 23 years.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for 60 years. She was also a member of the Quilters of Christ Lutheran Church, Oak Street Senior Citizens, retirees board of UAW 662 and Rangeline Senior Citizens Center. She was an avid bowler and bowled with many leagues.
Survivors include children, son and daughter-in-law, Larry S. (wife, Diannah Young) Riley of Columbia, Tenn.; daughter and son-in-law, Rhoda R. (husband, Michael) Miller of Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas R. (wife, Theresa K. Green) Riley of Pendleton; grandchildren, Aaron O. Riley of Anderson, Kelly A. Miller (husband, Joe) Bellovary of Canton, Mich., Kari L. Miller (husband, Howard) Waltzer of Fishers and Karla K. Miller (husband, Jeffrey) Kaczur of Lowell; great-grandchildren, Bryanne Bellovary of Canton, Mich., Michele Bellovary of Canton, Mich., and Lauren Kaczur of Lowell; brother and sister-in-law, Leo (wife, Pat) VonDielingen of Seymour; sister, Alberta Baxter, Seymour; sister and brother-in-law, Lora Mae (husband, Charles) Naffe, Seymour; sister and brother-in-law, Carol (husband, Bill) Stuckwisch of Bonner Springs, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Hilda (Baute) VonDielingen; husband, Esmond "Bill" Riley; brothers, Herschel Von Dielingen and Arnold VonDielingen; and sisters, Darlene VonDielingen and Alice Eldredge.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, officiated by Pastor Kurt Gremel of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tipton. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. today and one hour prior to the Monday service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Robin R. Ramsey
PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Robin Ray Ramsey, 66, of Phoenix, Ariz., died May 28, 2002, at the age of 66 surrounded by his family. He fought a brave battle against melanoma and will be truly missed by his family and friends. He was a former resident of Pendleton.
He was born In Lawrence County, Ill., to Ray Donald and Cora Eloise Ramsey, who preceded him in death. He married Patricia Mae Brotherton in Summitville Feb. 9, 1958; she survives.
Mr. Ramsey graduated from Pendleton High School and was a 1959 graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He was a registered professional engineer.
He previously worked for General Motors Corp., Delco Remy Division in Anderson; Motorola in Phoenix and Mesa, Ariz., and Intel in Hillsboro, Ore., and Phoenix, Ariz. In 1985 he started Ventilation Engineering, a consulting business, which he remained involved in up to his death.
Mr. Ramsey was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling and spending time at his farm in St. Francisville, Ill., connecting with his extended family.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one son, Jeff Ramsey of Phoenix; three daughters and their spouses, Jill and Doug Darnell of Chandler, Ariz., Julie and Steve Burnett of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jennifer and Tony Hartwick of Centralia, Mo.; three grandsons, Michael Burnett, Bryan Burnett and Daniel Darnell; two granddaughters, Devon and Riley Hartwick; and a sister, Anne Weed of St. Francisville, Ill., formerly of Pendleton.
Services will be Saturday at Espranza Lutheran Church in Phoenix, Ariz. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon followed by the service at noon.
A memorial service will also be held at Mr. Ramsey's farm property in St. Francisville, Ill., on June 23 at 3 p.m.

Evelyn R. Wardell
INDIANAPOLIS -- Evelyn R. Wardell, 72, of Indianapolis, died May 29, 2002, in Indianapolis.
She owned and operated Wardell Florist Shop in Lawrence from 1960 until she retired in 1993.
Survivors include her husband of over 53 years, Warren C. "Bud" Wardell; son, Jeffrey L. Wardell; sister, Carolyn S. Robb; brother, Larry D. Vancil; and several nieces.
Services will be noon Saturday at Ronald L. Seals Funeral Home in Fortville with the Rev. James McKinney officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Barbara J. Bryant
MUNCIE -- Missionary Barbara J. Bryant, 72, Muncie, went home to be with the Lord May 27, 2002, after a brief illness at her home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Muncie and lived in Muncie all of her life. She was employed at Ball Memorial Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Emmanual Temple Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Willie Earl Bryant; six children; three sons, Donald E. (Truddie) Evans of Anderson, Lynn (Mustafa ElBurke) Evans of Manchester, England, Kevin (Vanetta) Bryant of Muncie; three daughters, Toni Thompson of Muncie, Gloria (Ronald) Thomas of Indianapolis, Francie Isom Bryant of Muncie; a brother, Eugene (Lois) Kersey of Anderson; 25 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Weldon Morgan and Elizabeth Evans; grandmother, Minnie M. Evans; aunt, Cora M. Evans; and a son, Carlos L. Evans.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Emmanual Temple, 1300 E. Highland and Penn streets, Muncie. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Emmanual Temple with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

Clifford E. Carey
KOKOMO -- Clifford E. Carey, 78, Kokomo, died May 28, 2002, at Northwoods Village Nursing Home.
He was a tool and diemaker at Delco Remy for 43 years and was also a farmer.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Dean Carey; daughter, Brenda Lee Smith; brother, Grant Carey of Anderson; sisters, Catherine Myers, Virginia Blazier and Mrs. Larry (Edna) Eshelman of Pendleton; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Hartley Funeral Homes Arcadia Chapel with the Rev. Mark Mowery officiating. Burial will follow at Carey Cemetery, north of Noblesville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Jessie W. Chapple
INGALLS -- Jessie W. Chapple, 75, Ingalls, died May 26, 2002, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 6, 1927, in Birmingham, Ala., the son of Ruth Mae (Braselton) and Felix Martin Chapple. He lived in the Ingalls area for the past 51 years.
He worked at several jobs including General Motors, Chrysler, Paper Art and Central Tool. He retired from Marsh Foodliners. He was a well-known antique dealer and trader in Ripley, Miss., where he had a booth at 1st Monday Flea Market for the past 22 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, whom he married June 29, 1946, Ella Mae (Carpenter) Chapple of Ingalls; three daughters, Willa (husband, Tim) Branch of Ingalls, Nina (husband, Von) Manifold of Pendleton and Sharon (husband, Charles) Beckham of Pendleton; his mother-in-law, Lou Ellen Carpenter of Kaiser, Ark.; three brothers, Howard (wife, Louise) Chapple, Felix (wife, Dorothy) Chapple, Jr., both of Alabama, and Leon (wife, Pat) Chapple of Mississippi; a sister-in-law, Margaret Chapple of Alabama; seven grandchildren, David Branch and Darrin Branch of Phoenix, Ariz., Darci Thomas of Ingalls, Jessica Manifold, and Emily Manifold of Pendleton, Jason (wife, Jenny) Beckham of Anderson and Brad Beckham of Pendleton; three great-grandchildren, Evan Beckham and Allen Beckham of Anderson and Chloe Thomas of Ingalls; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Martin and Ruth Mae (Braselton) Chapple; sisters, Elizabeth Snipes, Lorene Turner and Willie Mearle York; brothers, Isom Chapple, Theron Chapple and Freddie Chapple; an infant grandson, Harold Webster Manifold; and a brother-in-law, Carl York.
Graveside services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton, with the Rev. Claude Creel officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 9:30 to 10 a.m.
Burial of cremains will be in Mendon Cemetery at Pendleton. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Hospice, 2015 Jackson St., Anderson, IN 46016.
Betty L. Darr
Betty L. (Trick) Darr, 71, of Anderson, died May 29, 2002, at St. John's Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was a homemaker.
Surivors include two daughters, Pam Allen and Lori Brown; a son, Chris Darr; sister, Judy Webber; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Darr, in 1991.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, with pastors Jim Rogers and Jim Lyon of North Anderson Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
