WINAMAC -- Services for Mary L. Stipp, 86, of 515 E. 13th St., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Frain Mortuary.
She died at 6:10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, in ExtendaCare of Winamac.
The Rev. Cathy Hubbard will officiate at the services. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday in the mortuary.
Hazel L. Reyburn
BUNKER HILL -- Services for Hazel L. Reyburn, 93, of Route 5, Peru, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Allen Funeral Home.
She died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Peru.
Steve Fleck will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, Bunker Hill.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday in the funeral home.
Lily Maye Neff
Services for Lily Maye Neff, 77, of 628 Tanguy St., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hillcrest Baptist Church.
She died at 7:13 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 15, 1922, in Egeland, N.D., she was the daughter of Earl and Elberta Gerdes Puterbaugh. On Feb. 14, 1946, in Clawson, Mich., she was married to Julian A. "Shorty" Neff, who survives.
Mrs. Neff was a homemaker and former employee of R.B.M.
She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Julian Lee and Diana Neff, Plymouth; one grandson, Mathew Lee Neff, Plymouth; four sisters, Fern Bruster, Berkley, Mich., Ruth Rutledge, Ludington, Mich., Hazel Proctor, Royal Oak, Mich., and Ruby Adams, Troy, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
One daughter, Linda Sue Neff, and one brother, Harold Puterbaugh, preceded in death.
Pastors Craig Pendl and Jeff Spangler will officiate at the services. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour before the time of services Thursday in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Thomas Dean Arthington
Graveside services for Thomas Dean Arthington, 84, of 8181 Harcourt Court, Indianapolis, will be held at 11:30 a.m. today in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Chapel.
He died at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, in Greenbriar Rehabilitation Center, Indianapolis.
Born Dec. 13, 1915, in Wapella, Ill., he was the son of Clarence Elleworth and Opal Belle Bishop Arthington. On April 26, 1940, in Bloomington, Ill., he was married to Margaret Ann Sundmacher, who died May 11, 1979.
Mr. Arthington was a teacher and had taught at New Waverly and Deer Creek high schools. He had retired as a captain in the Salvation Army, where he ministered for many years.
He was a member of the Salvation Army and was a former member of the Logansport Lions Club.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Arthington, Indianapolis, and Donald Arthington, Dallas, Texas; and two daughters, Sallie M. Wilson, Tulsa, Okla., and Constance Sue Akase, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Major Tom Sillanpa will officiate at the services.
Friends may call a half hour before the time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Fisher Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Dean E. Myers
PERU -- Services for Dean E. Myers, 85, of Route 5, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Church of the Brethren, 134 E. Fifth St.
He died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, in South Coast Medical Center, Laguna Beach, Calif.
The Rev. Dan Gray will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
Sherman R. ‘Butch’ Rogers
PERU -- Services for Sherman R. "Butch" Rogers, 48, of 467 E. Sixth St., will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
He died at 4 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
The Rev. Jewell Pratt will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.

Paul M. Flora
FLORA -- Services for Paul M. Flora, 87, of 123 Mohawk Drive, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Flora Old German Baptist Church.
He died at 12:14 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, in Home Hospital, Lafayette.
Home Brethren will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Ernest H. Webster
RUSSIAVILLE -- Services for Ernest H. Webster, 79, of 3610S U.S. 31, Peru, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Stout & Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Webster died at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, in Lee Memorial Health Park, Fort Myers, Fla.
Born Feb. 15, 1920, in Roanoke, Va., he was the son of Charlie T. and Dove Anna (Saul) Webster. On Nov. 26, 1958, in Kokomo, he was married to Myra Jane Hudson, who died Aug. 4, 1982. On Dec. 24, 1982, in Fort Myers, Fla., he was married to Naida Jeanne Guyer Eilers, who survives.
He was a retired farmer who enjoyed spending the winter months in Fort Myers, Fla., where for the last 13 years, he was employed at Avis Car Rental.
Mr. Webster was a member of Onward Christian Church.
Also surviving are one stepson and daughter-in-law, Dick and Sandee Alma, of Burnettsville; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Ken Mumaw, of Muncie, Paula Jane and David Petitt, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Myrtle Webster, of Greenfield, Carl and Essie Webster, of Hartford, Md., and Hampton Webster, of Ocala, Fla.; six stepgrandchildren, Michelle and Casey Mumaw, Tami Snow, Chris Alma, Ryan Alma and Elizabeth Alma and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Ashley and Devon Snow.
Two brothers preceded in death.
The Rev. Stan Zurcher will officiate at the services. Burial will be in New London Cemetery.

Bernadine ‘Bernie’ Katherine Higgins
BATTLE GROUND, Wash. -- Memorial services for Bernadine "Bernie" Katherine (DeDomenico) Higgins, 76, of Battle Ground, Wash., formerly of Logansport, will be held at 2 p.m. Today in Layne’s Funeral Home.
She died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, in Battle Ground, Wash.

ROYAL CENTER -- Clare Swartz, 69, of Walton, died at 1:40 p.m., Wednesday in Howard Community Hospital, Kokomo.
Arrangements are pending at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel.
Troy Ray Ackerman Jr.
Troy Ray Ackerman Jr., 32, of Clinton, Ark., died at 9:58 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Front and Plum streets.
Arrangements are pending at McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home.
Jack R. Sisson
CAMDEN -- Services for Jack R. Sisson, 58, of 229 N. Sanderson St., formerly of Logansport, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Cree Funeral Home.
He died at 12:39 p.m Wednesday, April 21, 1999, in his residence.
Born March 25, 1941, in Cass County, he was the son of John Russell and Leoria Ruth Shuey Sisson.
Mr. Sisson was a member of the National Association of Realtors, Indiana Association of Realtors, Carroll County Board of Realtors, Logansport Board of Realtors, National Association of Master Appraisers.
He was a real estate broker with Adair Realty, Logansport, and he worked part-time at Frito Lay, Frankfort. He was a self-employed broker of Century 21 Real Estate Franchise, Logansport, from 1974 to 1982. From 1967 to 1973 he worked at Ross Gear, Lafayette, and before that he worked at RCA, Monticello.
He was a 1959 graduate of Camden High School.
Surviving are three sons, John D. Sisson, Cranston, R.I., Mark R. "Rick" Sisson, Delphi, Douglas B. Sisson, Tallahassee, Fla.; one daughter, Vicki Diane Odle, Fayetteville, N.C.; three brothers, Russell Sisson, Lee, Fla., Donald Gene Sisson, Chugiak, Alaska., Glen Larry Sisson, Anchorage, Alaska.; and five grandchildren.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded in death.
Pastor Dan Gottschalk will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Walton IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and Hospice of Tippecanoe County.
Bertha Mae ‘Peggy’ Parks
ROCHESTER -- Services for Bertha Mae "Peggy" Parks, 93, formerly of 727 E. 9th St., will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Foster & Good Funeral Home.
She died at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 1999, in Life Care Center of Rochester.
Pastor David McLane will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Mary Ruth Trobaugh
CAMDEN -- Mary Ruth Trobaugh, 96, of 435 N. Church St., died at 5:20 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 1999, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi.
Arrangements are pending at Cree Funeral Home.
George F. Brennan
WINAMAC -- Services for George F. Brennan, 90, of 448 South St., will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Mr. Brennan died at 6 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 1999, in ExtendaCare of Winamac.
Born April 30, 1908, in New Rochelle, N.Y., he was the son of Dr. James H. and Julia V. McCahill Brennan. On Aug. 14, 1937, in New Rochelle, N.Y., he was married to Mildred Sodergren, who survives.
Mr. Brennan, who had lived in Winamac since 1948 after coming from Connecticut, was an engineer and consultant at Winamac Steel Products and Galbreath Inc, and the former Reflex Steel Co. in Kewanna.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where he served as a former St. Peter’s Parish Council member. He was a past Grand Knight of Winamac Knights of Columbus, receiving an award for "Knight of the Year."
Mr. Brennan was a former town council president during the late 1960s and early 1970s and a former Monroe Township Trustee from 1987-1990. He also was a former commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America.
He graduated from Mamaroneck High School, New York, and attended Manhattan College, New York.
Also surviving are two sons, George F. Brennan Jr., St. Simons Island, Ga., and Peter R. Brennan, Noblesville; three daughters, Marilyn S. Brennan, Indianapolis, Patricia I. Brennan, Muncie, and Katherine J. Brennan, Noblesville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Three brothers and one sister preceded in death.
The Rev. John Hoying and the Rev. Philip Mahalic will officiate at the services. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Frain Mortuary, where a scriptural wake service will be held at 5:30 p.m. and the rosary will be read at 7:30 p.m., and after 8 a.m. on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart and Diabetes Associations.
Robert A. Perigo
FLORA -- Services for Robert A. Perigo, 82, of 415 W. Vine, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Reinke Funeral Home.
He died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 1999, in Brethren Healthcare Center.
Born June 4, 1916, in Otterbein, he was the son of Frank W. and Mable Marvin Perigo. On Dec. 27, 1941, in Flora, he married Norma Whiteman, who survives.
Mr. Perigo was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served from 1942 to 1944.
He retired from Peerless Wire, Lafayette, in 1978.
He attended the Flora United Methodist Church and was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge. He also attended Lafayette Jefferson High School.
Also surviving are one son, Robert W. Perigo, Lakeland Fla.; one daughter, Susan Tracy, Flora; and three grandchildren, Courtney Perigo, Harmony Tracy, and Adam Tracy.
One sister and one brother preceded in death.
The Rev. Larry DeVos will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Flora United Methodist Church.
